The vineyard was simply beautiful. You are given a tour of the vineyard and told about the various kinds of grapes grown for the different kind of vines. They also show you around the production area and walk you through the process of wine making. They also have wine tasting where you get to try 6 varieties of wine. let me tell you, you will learn a lot of tasting, smelling and seeing the wine. You will also learn the different ways of holding the wine glass. Overall this was a great experience. You also have the option of taking a package without the tasting part. When we went the weather was amazing too and we didnt want to leave. Also please try to go in the morning itself so you can enjoy the view and relax here for a while before you head home. You can also buy wines before leaving. You can also visit Manchanbelle dam which is only 9kms from the vineyard.

A good place to visit and see how wines are prepared. Situated off Mysore road. Plenty of parking place available. Wheelchair access is there. Beautiful lawns and flowers maintained well. Better to book in advance. Covid19 protocol followed strictly including temp checking and hand sanitisation, they charge Rs 700 per person for vineyard trip including 5 varities of wine tasting. Wine bottles are sold across the counter. Guide will take us for the trip after a short video of 8 minutes duration. Grapes are grown spread over a area of 4 acres. January and February months are the season when grapes are plucked. After this people are taken around inside the factory and shown how the wines are prepared and stored. Wines sold under Big Banyan banner. Wines tasted good and is moderately priced. There also a restaurant called Ranch through which one goes to see the grapes garden. Food and drinks served here with Rs 1500+ taxes per person being charged. Veg and non veg food available. Buffet brunch. Good variety of food spread.

We went on a Vineyard tour with my friends and it was a great day indeed. The place was huge and the host is one of the highlights of the trip. He showed us the inner workings of the harvesting, the making, bottling, labelling of the wines and the wine tasting was amazing. We tasted 6 wines.. 2 white, 2 red, 1 pink and 1 dessert wine along with some crackers and cheese. They have a in house restaurant also. It is a great date place. Even though little difficult to reach but totally worth it.

Let me just say that..this place was a surprise find while casually browsing for weekend fun. Its about an hour drive from Electronic City Phase 1 if you go by NICE road (Mysore Road Exit). After having seen wine yards in Australia and UK I wasnt sure about what to expect. For people who dont travel much this place is a good idea for a day trip. You can pay up few hundred bucks for a field visit ( not so huge though) and the processing unit. Ranch offers good ambience to grab food but if you are going there during weekend ensure to have advance booking as the capacity is limited. Food is just OK and over-priced but the enthusiastic much hyped tourists dont seem to care until out of that place :). Wine collections are limited but the staffs are courteous. Good place for a weekend drive.

The basic tour is quite ordinary. Skip it if youre not interested in the wine tasting. The wine tasting session was fine, it was well conducted. We got to taste 5 different wines.Their restaurant The Ranch has only buffet on weekends and the food wasnt good.1500 + taxes for just food.2000 + taxes for food w/ beer or wine.Overall, not a great value. Try visiting over a weekday. Weekends are chaotic.

A good place to go out on a holiday with family. Very clean and classy place with nice staff. The food at Ranch was amazing. Really liked how well the place is maintained. You will get a really good tour of the vineyard and wine tasting session as well. Just make sure you book in prior to avoid any timing clashes with other pre bookings especially on weekends. Cheers!

Its a lovely open place if you go in a slightly bigger group. Fortunately we got a table outside, it was crowded to the brim. Since there are lots of walk ins too, better to book a table in advance for the restaurant.Sunday buffet was a good spread. There was a live counter too. Food, I would say, was not exceptionally good, but still it was decent. We took a short tour of vineyard without tasting..vineyard is not huge...one can easily walk around.Overall it was a good day spent, weather was lovely and company was awesome.

Nice place to go out on weekends with friends or family. Wine tasting session was good. They even took us to their production area. Then they took us to the vineyard which was at a walking distance. We could go around and see different types of grapes. Were told not to pluck them as they have sprayed some chemical or so which I guess was just a lame attempt to prevent people from plucking them.Overall it will take around 2.5 to 3 hours to complete all the activities.

It was a good experience. A day tour atleast. First is a audio/video room which will give you a quick outlook about the place and what is in the farm. Then they will take you to small tour by walk where you can see how grapes are grown and their variety. Best would be if you plan a visit around February and March when grapes are ripe and ready for production. Then it will be production place and at last if you love wines, you get a chance to taste different flavours depending upon the package. A basic package starts from rs. 250 per adult to a max of 850 which is premium. They also have a restaurant where food is good, but expensive. I mean, a simple mint lemonade cost us rs. 350. And to be precise, these prices are without gst.

Old friends, wine and some sunshine.Make a day rather fine.Far from the madding crowds, social distancing was maintained effortlessly at @bigbanyanwinesWe took in sips and swirls of their finest and polished up on our wine etiquette whilst polishing off their wines!A scrumptious meal was had and many a good memory made..However do note that children are not allowed in for the tasting or into the production site. The good folks at Big Banyan are more than willing to spilt groups into batches, and there is much that kids can do around the property from playing in a mini park to sauntering around the wineyards or strolling along the stream.

Ambience - 4/5. Its well maintained and huge place to explore. Quite spacious.Foods - 3/5. Tastes average, at least what I tried.Service - 3/5. The person who got us food kept dropping things around, was probably having a bad day at work. But kind enough to address the issue.Tip: The vineyard tour is a waste of money, apart from what they speak. You can explore the place outside of the tour as well.

This was a nice half day experience. I had never visited a vineyard before. While I dont remember all that was explained on how wine is created, it was interesting to hear. For someone who doesnt like wine, the different wines provided for the wine tasting tasted pretty much how I expected. But my cousin liked them quite a bit.Overall, it was a good one-time experience.

Amazing Vineyard tour, wine & cheese tasting! The vineyard is well hidden from the bustling highway, and its an easy drive from Bengaluru to reach. The place is beautifully kept and we were amazed by the well kept lawn.We were welcomed by two wonderful hosts, who helped us understand Big Banyan, the Vineyards, different varieties of grapes and the subtlety involved in wine drinking. We were taken on a detailed tour of factory, and the Vineyard, after which we headed to the tasting room, which was tastefully built :PThe host was knowledgeable about each wine, and helped us discover subtler and nuanced flavors of 5 different wines - 2 white, 2 red and one dessert wine. It was one of the best tasting experiences we had.The only negative, as per what I feel, is the lack of food options as there are no food shops nearby. However. Big Banyan is in the process of building a restaurant as well as a resort.Again, thanks for the amazing wine tour, and the tasting process. Would be glad to come back some other time. :)

We visited this winery & vineyards over the Independence Day long weekend. (made long by a leave). This winery is much more accessible from electronic city than other wineries in the area, so i was very interested in visiting them once i knew that they were opening to public. We were welcomed by the very hospitable Monisha who kindly helped us with all aspects of our visit, even though we we were a small group. Mahesh who is the wine maker, took us through the steps in the making of wines, and explained all the intricacies in spite of how much of noobs we were in the topic of wines. The tavern area has good cozy feel, which would be evident in the spring-winter evenings especially. Beautiful garden area provides a nice relaxing atmosphere out front. They are still in the process of developing the facilities like a restaurant and resort which should be running by the end of the year. We visited the vineyards even though the grapes are not yet formed, It would be a great place to visit in this area come January when the grapes would be in season. We surely plan to visit them again.

Good for a sunday outing. Place is off Mysore road about 28 kms from MG road. The Vineyard has Vineyard tour and wine tasting packages. Basic package costs ₹250 + GST which doesnt include any wine tasting. Wine tasting packages range from ₹450 to ₹950+ GST. The distillery is very compact and you can have a bird eyes view of the entire operation from a central platform. You will have a host who would take you around and explain the wine making process, types of wines and their character. You can have lunch at the Ranch which is colocated. You will have buffet brunch on weekends. ₹999 + taxes without wine and ₹1500 + taxes with unlimited wine. You have limited outdoor seating. Most of the seating is indoors which anyway is likr a big gazebo and the ambiance is okay. The spread was quite elaborate, but restocking is slow if you are eating after 3 pm.
