By the look from outside and price of the menu, its supposed to be a premium category place providing good service to the customers and maintaining the sanity properly. But I felt nothing is upto the mark. Food is completely average in taste. A overcrowded place with no proper protocols followed. They literally dont care for the customers, its just all self service and self care (not expected when they take premium charges for the food). Theres no such thing as ambience. The only good part is, they have a good variety of Veg Menu to choose from. Over-all, in my opinion, its not worth the pay completely.
A good place for all chat and snacks lovers... good variety on the list. Very courteous and helpful staff all over the place. Expensive on the wallet but the quality of food makes it Up. Limited parking space but manageable. The mgmt does need to take into consideration the hygiene and cleanliness of the washrooms. Its a premium place but the washrooms are below standards..
Its always great.Food is good, great variety of chats, Pani puri is something I have tried so many times and its disappointing everytime. Except for it all chats are greats ( a bit on sweeter than spicy).Main course is standard. All day snacks is something I really like and there are lot of options.Overall good experience, good food, good service, pocket friendly, flavourful delicacies.
Amazing taste. Both North and South Indian Cuisine. Location in a prime location its easily accessible. Seating arrangements both inside and open area. Heaven for vegetarian folks.
The Bhartiya Jalpan is good option to for sweets, Indian Snacks, Chats and food. The taste of chats was good however the quantity per serving is very less. The cost of the food is little more, however the spacious seating arrangements justify the cost.I feel there is need of more training related to Covid appropriate behaviour is required as many serving persons were not putting on mask full time.
A good place for chats and other North Indian delicacies.Very spacious seating available though it is a self service platform.Staff need a little training to improve customer interaction.Entry from the ground floor so entry and exit is easy. Two wheeler parking available In front of the eatery. Four wheelers can park in the cross roads.Beautiful interiors and well laid out plan.Rates may be a little higher than normal but we may have to pay a little more for the ambience and experience.Overall a nice place to have a light snack or something more.
Overcrowded. Pricing and food quality is average. The cooks are overwhelmed by the number of people in this place. Social distancing norms are a joke here
Not a pleasant experience. There is always a disconnect between counter and the kitchen.Happened with me twice:I asked for a 3 way katori chat, paid the bill at the bill counter and took the token to the kitchen counter for getting the item. But, kitchen says katori chat is out of stock.my expectation as a customer - if you bill a customer for 3 way katori chat, the hotel should serve with the item as well. But, I had this experience twice. even if i told my experience at the bill counter, they simply ignored my feedback. Not visiting this place again.
When your tastebuds are craving for good vegetarian delicacies, this is the place to go. This is an amazing place which serves some good mouth watering dishes. Ranging from snacks to coffee to main course to delicious sweets, namkeens and parathas. This place has it all. The food joint originated in Guwahati and has spread its wings across Bangalore serving some tasty food. They are available in HSR and Indiranagar and is a must try if you are in and around these areas.
This is my go to place to have any chaat items. The taste, food is outstanding and it lives up to expectations. A special mention on the hospitality, the service area is great and I cant thank Mr. Samir, who ensures that guests are not left unattended on their requests.Dahi aloo chaat, chole bature, paani poori, jalebi rabdi is a must try !!Keep it up and looking forward to visit again!!
We ordered chole bhature and got only 1 bhatura in a plate which costed more then 200rs. Felt cheated, it should be mentioned in menu that only 1 pc will be served. Overpriced place.
Are you up for a calorie rich food in an over expensive restaurant? great place then.chats are good, but not all. some snacks like paneer chilla and panner paratha are below average, neither tasty nor healthy.my kids say, that lassi was more sweeter than coca cola. one can ask, lassis are supposed to be sweet isnt it? 😁
#RantSerious hygiene issues - I have an upset stomach every time I have here. My tongue does not listen to my crying stomach.Avoid. Go for Anand Sweets instead.
You can get more for free as prasad outside a temple. Jalebi is the thinnest and smallest you can find anywhere in the world. Samosa chat is NOT a chaat at all. If you order malpua, you do not get anything at all.
A decent place for family and friends. They serve proper north indian food. The golgappe are good but can be made better. Bhartiya jalpan special thali was good. Sev puri and jalebi were awesome. The sitting space is roomy and huge. The staff is quite polite and friendly. As the amount of orders is huge, you have to wait for your food to be made. And yes, they have self service here. Overall a good place for a family dinner or casual hangout.
Good ambience, no parking option. Elaborate menu, moderate taste.
A great place for North Indian cuisine. There is no doubt that this is one of the best places for North Indian dishes. The sweets, chats and evey other snack was worth every penny. Only the tea wasnt freshly made, and self service area seems to be lacking support as different dishes are prepared at different places.I tried paneer and paratha, and both deserved 5 stars.Sweets are fresh, and even if you skip snacks, dont skip sweets. The place is located almost at the heart of Indiranagar, near the signal just before KFC junction. Has well groomed staff. The toilet facilities is another thing for venture to focus on.
Taste is good. However, service is super slow and food isnt hot enough. This was Saturday evening. Hopefully this will improve next time.
Food is good and nice environment but nothing that stood out as such. You will get the same things that you get in other hotels too. A bit heavy on the pocket so please be prepared while opting for this place
Ambience is like a modified big home, people are not so courteous.. Food was OK, being a South Indian had a Bharatiya Jalapan big thali or something costing WA too much for the food which was served, though unlimited the food termed to be less.I think we liked Rice rather than rotis unlimited in this thali.
Ambience: A restaurant with good hygiene but a lot of crowd.Hygiene: they provide sanitiser while you enter, the management is well equipped with all the hygiene products.Food: try out Samosa Dahi chat and pav bhaji if you are in mood of chats, its very filling.Affordability: The restaurant leans towards the expensive side.
Placed a large order for a puja day. Had told them to keep it ready by 9, they started packing 5 minutes before 9 and were finally done by 9:30, quite tardy. Food doesnt quite suit my tastes, not to say that others wont find it to their liking.
Amazing lassi, chat and service.... Please try their service option on the 1st floor..... Gives you a sense of royalty and the food experience and its taste is amplified 😍😍😍😍
Wow.. Surprised by the ratings here.. 😂Anyway, 2 stars earned just for the taste ..Restaurant is not well maintained, pathetic service staff, billing and cash counter guys are just useless... The list shall go on..I wish they had a good management system..First visit turned out to be last one 😂Incase it improves the service, I shall visit again.
I tried sweets and chaat, those are tasty. Good place for vegetarians, they served chaat without onion garlic but still that was tasty
Must taste maharaja thali
Take away system is poor. Need to keep asking and they were confused. Supervisors were just standing rather than helping customers
I am huge fan of their motichoor ladoo one of the best in town , Recently I had visited the outlet for dine in experienceAmple seating space indoor and outdoor both availableGood parking space as well which a big bonus in 100ft roadThey have wide range of chaats sweets parathas and main course and North Indian delicacy is their specialtyTaste wise I like each and everything what I have tested including parathasBut price is surely on higher side
Food is tasty, however this place is an ABSOLUTE DISASTER when it comes to COVID Protocols and guidelines. They dont follow any safety measures:1. Its over crowded and no seat restrictions.2. None of the staff were wearing the mask properly including the ones who cook as well as serve. (special mention to the gentlemen sitting at the cash counter who were continuously coughing and still not wearing a mask).3. Cutlery and Napkins are left in the open (self serve).4. Tables are not cleaned or sanitized between guests.so be aware and pls stay safe.
Bharatiya Jalpan is a vegetarian restaurant located at 100 feet road, Indira Nagar which is close to Vapour and Sony Signal. Since the restaurant is located on the main road, any new person would be able to locate it easily. They have two floors when it comes to dining. They also have outdoor seating arrangement. It is basically a bunglow converted into a restaurant.Firstly, the two gentlemen who takes the orders in the billing counter needs to :1. Smile and greet the customers well ( And not be arrogant !)2. Know their product.Parking for two wheeler is limited as it can accommodate around 5-7 two wheelers. For four wheeler, one has to find a place near by.For hygiene standards, they are surely not up to the marks. Had a glimpse of their kitchen staffs and no one was wearing masks, lets not go into wearing gloves and hairnet... so dont think they follow other protocols seriously. You see, its not always about big restaurants following safety and hygiene standards religiously. Infact most of them lack when you analyse it closely. There are indeed some street food vendors who follow all safety guidelines and you always get to see them with masks, hairnet and gloves and offers sanitizer. Should the management needs to be questioned? When it comes to food, they are good and serve the best sweets and savoury one can find in Bangalore. The quality of chats and Parathas are good. When it comes to pricing, its just on the higher side! For example, one piece of aloo paratha or Kulcha would cost you around 170 with taxes. Clearly, there are other places where one can find the same item for half the price. A plate of poori sabji comes to around 200. Food quality is good but not everyone would be a repeat customer with such pricing.Tea served here is really good if you are a Masala chai lover! When you order any takeaway, they charge Rs. 20 for a simple paper bag where they have their logo on it.Lastly, for any team meeting, please find a place where there are no customers around. Thats basic common sense !
Overall it was a nice experience, food is little pricy but if you are looking for a real North Indian flavour in banglore then its a must go place.
They set up stall in our society and residents had a horrible experience after consuming their food. Many people including kids suffered food poisoning resulting into vomiting and loose motion. As the menu items were on the costly side we were expecting good quality but it was really pathetic quality of food. Not at all recommended. Stay away.
The chat and starters are tasty and good place for business lunch and family time out.
Food is great, but absolutely no covid protocol followed here during dine-in!None of the staff - cooking , serving , managers were wearing masks properly! The place was overcrowded, table were not being sanitized during turnovers, people were crowding at the cash counter and food counters absolutely no crowd management has been put in place.Give this place is miss till they fix their processes, amazing chola bhatura is just not worth this risk!
Very poor service. Snacks were not well prepared. The aloo tikki was watery and missing sweet chutney.Raj kachoori was too sweet. Asked staff to sit in an empty space and they said no. Poor ventilation. Top floor dinning widows were all closed and AC not efficient.
The place is ok, the food taste is also OK I didnt like the kachori and samosa much but, pani puri and other chats are good also sweets are great.
I love the breakfast served at this place. You can come to this place as early as 9 AM and enjoy breakfast delicacies like chhola bhatura, matar poori, paratha and other sweet dishes.
Its right up there for the best chats in Bangalore! I love their aloo tikki chat and samosa chats..They have a pretty good outdoor and indoor seating as well.4 star is only because of the price, if it was only for the taste and quality, Id easily give 5 stars. I guess its due the pandemic but hope the owners relook at that once the situation is back to normal.
The taste of food here is very good. If you visit here take any product with Dahi (curd). It will be amazing. They have chats also they have very good option in sweet. You might feel bit expensive. But the joy you get will not stand beside that. Suggesting anyone to visit. Two wheeler is better. You have little place to park. If you are on car you have to park on the road side.
Royal, decent and tasty food! Definitely worth trying 🙂
Namaskara…We felt very happy ...specially need to Mention Mr Ajay kumar served very well...And His willing to serve in Kannada language though he is from Odisha ...We were happy to Interact in Kannada language with Him and His Way of approaching Is too Good and His humbleness to Learn kannada is very impressive and even in food service ...Love to Visit againGajendra sharma
The chaats are good, but the chole bhature were disappointing. Sweets are fine.
Outdoor seating was Covid appropriate. Dahi papdi with thick curd almost like a dressing, is terrific. Tandoori paratha (gobi) and muttar poori made for a great lunch. Take-away parcel of tava and tava / ghee parathas helped extend the experience a day or so after. Consistently good food.
Loved Ajay Kumars service here along with the chola kulcha.
Visited the place few days ago. Place is clean no doubt, but the chaats are not at all tasty. Have had better than this. The sweets are old stock tasted really bad. suffered food poisioning the next day horrible experience.
Delicious food. Impeccable service. Fabulous experience.
This brand does not care public health at all. Last weekend, they setup a stall at our apartment to sell their savouries & sweets. After eating their food, as many 40+ adults and children from the community fell sick. Most of them had stomach infection due to the food eaten at the stall. Needless to mention, they charged quite a premium for the food and gave the residents illness and anxiety in return. Worst food quality.
Excellent food and hygiene. We tried Bhelpuri and Raj Kachori which were both nice. The paani puri is pretty good too.
Good taste. Portion size not appropriate with rates
Quite liked the kesar Badam milk, we also had the rose lassi, and samosa chat, both of which were okay relatively
Went here for breakfast.....was good...they have good variety in Dry fruits.....
Open sitting, nice chahel pahel! Good North Indian chaat food...! Kids friendly.
Very nice service by staffs ver good behaviour by cash counter
Very rarely a restaurant checks all boxes. Taste, variety, Quality, service, ambience all great and at a reasonable price..
Hopeless chole bhature, they serve only one bhatura for 180/- and the taste also isnt so good.
Nice setup and nice nice food, but difficult to get parking area
Great place with good taste and hygiene.Has a seating inside on the ground floor as well as a service area on the first floor which serves full meals as well as the chaats that they are so famous for. There is also a dry fruit store inside which is quite nice and a good change of view too.One star less because they switched off the AC post the last order even when several tables occupied. Maybe it was off when we came in. The point is that it was hot and we had to ask for it to be switched on. But thats really not a deal breaker at all as the food is great.
Nice place to enjoy some good snacks and chat items. But be ready for crowd.
Great ambience with the outdoor seating, aloo tikki was very good and the chai was awesome!Cant wait to go back on a rainy ☔ afternoon
Veg RestaurantI think one of the best north indian pure veg restaurant in Bangalore. While you are going from Domlur to KFC signal Indiranagar, it will be on the right side after New Horizon school.Self service at ground floor & waiter service at first floor.Had samosa chat with matar & jalebi with rabdi. Taste was awesome just like typical north taste. They have maintained cleanliness and hygiene throughout. Saw many sanitizer bottles at entrance of main gate, inside restaurant, billing counter. They are regularly cleaning the place & employees also use sanitizer on continuous basis.
Clean and Hygenic this place offers Sweets & Chaat
Horrible experience with Bhartiya Jalpan. They had set up the food stalls in our apartment last Saturday. Almost all the folks fell sick (vomiting, stomach upset, food poisoning) who had food from the stalls, around 40+ folks. They got old and stale food items for clearance. Never expected from such a brand who has a big restaurant in HSR. Folks be careful and avoid this eatery !!
Slightly expensive but on overall due to the ambience, the service, hygiene, it is well worth the buck you pay.Chaats are off the charts✨
Nice, clean place, self Service and serving both facilities available, beside road, easy to find. Test is really good. You can enjoy fresh and healthy food here.
I too had food poisoning..we eat chole batura and dahi mallah and Raj Kachori and Rabdi. next day we had food poisoning..pls guys be careful.serious food poisoning.
