When you go at the beginning they welcome you very warmly. Then once you trust them they start taking advantage of your innocence and weakness. The staff are ill- behaved and arrogant. Cheap politics are playedwith good and talented teachers. They hire teachers urgently during their need, and as soon as they get another option, they try to replace old ones. Sick and unhealthy environment with narrow mindedness and politics. The staff are oversmart who feel they run the world and are obliging by providing employment. Administrative, academic and teaching staff are ill mannered with useless attitude. One is free to give ones opinion based on ones experience.

Its really sad to see some wrong and misleading reviews about Presidency School Bangalore South. Being a parent as well as a teaching faculty of this school, I can vouch for the professionalism shown by management, Principal, HM and all staff members, including the support staff. All teachers are given due credit for their work and are given ample opportunities to learn and grow within the organisation. The management, and all employees of PSBS are committed towards giving their best to the student community.I, as a parent, would strongly recommend the school to all fellow parents.

The location of the school is so bad, its situated next to a huge water drainage which is smelly and a lot of mosquitoes breed, children fall ill often because of this. Also whenever it rains, the whole area around the school is blocked as the drainage is bad and is situated to the lower part of the area and water will flow downwards blocking streets and has been nuisance since years.Apart from the high fee structure, the school management and teachers demand money for each event of occasion hosted by the school in order to get props for the kids etc which I felt is a very cheap thing to do. The parents dont speak up regarding this the school will loot everyone. The teaching is not so great I can say a little above average and many of the teachers are not good at fundamentals. Do not want to point out names here but they need to work with their skills as children need very strong fundamentals.

The admission horror story at Presidency School: My son got admission at this school some time ago for 11th through their admission entrance test. He has passed their admission test and then only received admission. All fee paid, uniform stitched and bought the books/note-books and classes started. After that the CBSE (10t) results came and his average marks in 10th was less than 70%. Then, the principal of this school called asked me to take my son away and cancelled the admission. I was left in the lurch as admission in other schools were completed by then. So, please don’t trust these people. They are in the business of making money using the children and not in child development.

I have been studying in this institution for nearly 13 years now and it has given me the best experiences a student can ever think of.I am very lucky to have been trained by such efficient teachers who stood by my side at all times. The teachers pay attention to every students needs and makes sure that they improve the childs need by the end of the year. The Principal and the staff work very hard and all negative comments against the school and the staff are not to be looked at.It is one of the best schools for a childs education where they are not only trained academically but are also given so many opportunities in co-curricular activities that develop them for the better.

Yes location isn’t the perfect one. Yes there may have been one or two angry parents. The day I joined this school. My parents were angry too. But fast forwarding to 11 years after that, Presidency has been resilient in improving it’s services. Year by year the management, the students, the opportunities they just keep increasing. After studying here for 8 years. I can confidently say that it’s the school that’s helped to shape me. The kind of mindset, encouragement, open environment offered is very important to students. No matter what future you envision for your child, presidency is the best place to start for a solid foundation.

As a student of this school, I can vouch for the fact that the dedication from the teachers side for a perfect grade 10 board result is unmatched. The amount of hard work that the teacher themselves do and make the students do, ensures an amazing result as seen last year. Frequent tests might seem stressful but essentially get one used to testing which takes a lot of pressure away during the board exams. Overall, an excellent place for grade 10.A review mentioned that the school is very money minded, however any extra fees charged for any events are still far far lesser than many highly reputed schools. It also seemed to be of the opinion that every student is not given equal attention. But I suppose those who actually study in the school will confirm that everybody gets equal attention in the class.

People, specially the management, here have a narrow minded mentality! Studied here in 11th and 12th grade. Lost my self confidence here. Now am in college, moved on, and am regaining that lost confidence. Once I left, after finishing all the formalities, I decided that I would never want to return to this place ever! Dont want to go into details, and want to leave the past behind! They only care for their board results, so that more ppl will take admission, they do not care about the future of students post boards! The teaching here at best, is average. Math department is weakPros:Its a cbse affiliated schoolThe classrooms are nice, with projectorsA decent playground existsThe music room is great! They even have an upright piano, although not maintained.Less student strength in classroom, but is also due to many (80%) 10th graders leaving the school and not joining the school in 11th grade. In my batch, we had 14 students in the cs section, and 19 in the bio section.Ptms are held frequently. The teachers are dedicated to their work, but average.I have a lot of respect for Mala maam, the lady at the reception.Cons:Weak math dept for 11,12th grade. Okay upto 10th.I didnt like the mentality of (most of) the teachers and their pets. Many students got low marks, instead of helping them find ways to improve, where they went wrong, they were always mocked in class.(Btw, out of a class of 15, in 11th grade, on average, 10 failed in every Physics exam upto the final exam of 11th grade). Bhawana Maam,an exception, helped our batch in 12th Grade, and the situation was improved. I felt that she only, is the best, dedicated teacher in my 2 years here, out of the teachers I had. She even used to personally go to students and talk to them and teach them. The chem teacher seemed to have no common sense. As far as I have seen, the comp teacher seemed to be a puppet of the head mistress. Limcy Maam, too, was great, but she left the school :/Transport dept, although they have 20+ buses, they are getting very expensive, and overloaded in some routes. The bus wanted to pick me up at 6:40 in the morning. If we go directly to the school, the net time taken is 20-30 minutes. I used to leave home at 7:30 and reach school by 8:00am (before the school bus reached). They do not care if you want to prepare for a competitive exam, and will go out of their way, at times, to stop you. In 11th grade they used to say, we would like you to prepare for jee/neet, we encourage it. But in 12th grade, they change their statements. They even said, the level of boards and Neet/Jee are the same, so no special preparation required for it, stick only to whats taught in school! And yes, dont have much fond memories here. There is a drain outside, and it makes many of the classrooms stink. The environment here, felt toxic, both physically and mentally. Some of the students felt like they were in depression!Students are not allowed to use the field during lunch breaks, and are forced to play in the auditorium. The auditorium cannot hold all the students.Very very long hours: Monday to Saturday: 8am to 4:30pm. Its officially 8am to 3:30, but they force everyone, no exceptions, to attend extra classes from 3:30 to 4:30.Schools like DPS start at 8:30 and end by 2:20, i.e 2 hours less everyday, but they have better results in academics, sports and co-curricular activities. People learn more from YouTube than they learn in school! The road outside is narrow, and often the 20+ busses create a huge traffic jam. All the busses arrive at the same time, and clog the road up.Also I feel pity for the teachers here. They have no freedom of thought, also seemed to be the reason for having no common sense, to take decisions and are treated like servants of the Principal/ Head mistress. Coming from a big school, it was quite a shock. The Headmistress has a negative attitude, and is very power hungry. The Principal, although highly qualified, runs the school like a robot.

It is money minded school. They conduct school functions grandly by collecting extra money from wards.most of the teachers are housewives turned into teachers. Play ground used as scholl bus parking since last 3years. Sports conducted on school terrace. They collect more fees and pay peanuts to staff hence education is less focused. Whatever ranks got since last two years its because of students hardworking and outside tuitions and back of school.

Well, I am a presidencian since 15 years. And I dont see any problem in the management and academic facilities. It is an excellent School and will be thereafter. Now, talking about the teachers. They are no bookworms nor parrots. They are TEACHERS and they know how to teach us. And the teachers in this school are amazing. They know us better and help us. Teachers put in a lot of effort and are always ready to accept our doubts. Its an English medium School so the teachers speak understandable English. Please dont talk about their teaching experience. They are experienced enough to fill our brains with the required knowledge.Talking about too much homework....seriously!!! I mean homework is the only work that keeps us updated with the whole days learning. In simple words homework is the only one that helps in touching our books. For regular hardworkers, homework is good to brush up their knowledge. This school has given the best results from past 5 years. And its ranked no.1 for the best results and student-teacher interaction. And let me bring to everyones notice that this aint possible without the Gem of our School that is our dear principal maam. She is always supportive. She makes the right decision at the right time. She puts 100% effort and that is why our School is the one of the top CBSE School. Thanks to you maam. Also we celebrate all the festivals and cultural occasions with pride and delight. Most important of all we have fun!Well, this is my last year in this School.I will miss all the fun we had in this School.I will miss my friends, teachers, staff and the Principal. And I will miss my School.--This is my review that is, a review from a student who had 15 years EXPERIENCE in this school.

While I studied 10 years in this school. Indeed friends make the experience a much better one, it’s usual to miss ur school as u leave. Somehow, I found the experience not so pleasing. When some teachers were gems, and helped us at each step, the rest of the majority question why we asked them such silly questions. After plenty of time in this school, I really don’t suggest it. The principal is more bothered about useless things than of academics. It’s a misery to take each day out in this school. Not only in terms of the classroom. The environment is such, each week of monsoon, my juniors feel sick of dengue and malaria. Some coordinators only know to accuse students and blame them. It was unpleasant to also be a victim of the same. I wouldn’t give more than 0.5 stars, but since that’s not an option, I’ll make 1 star say it all.DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID.

Amazing experience. I studied here for 11 years, which were the best years of my life. There were, sure, many small things that werent great, like lots of writing. But in the long run, I assure you, it helps A LOT. The teachers are friendly and approachable. KG-12 classes are there. Overall, a wonderful experience. Not sure why the ratings are so low.. most of them are from many years back, and need to be rechecked by those who typed them.I want to address some of the concerns that I have seen people have in the comments:1. There is a drain, but it is better covered now and barely affects anyone. Its near the entrance and far away from the school building, so it doesnt affect the students.2. There is PTM (parent teacher meeting) scheduled by the school regularly, please double check with the school if you feel like there have been very few PTMs.3. The teachers speak in good, understandable English. The school is english-medium, in case anyone didnt know.4. There was a lengthy review to which::(a) The portions completed and chapters finished would be told to the student, and it is a parents responsibility to check.(b) newsletters are sent as circulars regularly, and if u r not receiving it, ask the student. Class teachers make sure to give every single student any circular that comes.(c) if you feel like the student isnt getting attention from the teacher or if the student him/herself feels so, talk to the teacher, because, as is everyday life, if you want something to happens speak it out.(d) homeworks are checked by 99% of teachers. Even if teachers occasionally forget to check homework, it shouldnt be a problem. The student has the responsibility of completing the small tasks given.(e) the school ground is used as parking area ONLY in PTMs and annual day. On the usual days, it is empty, and students play football, badminton, basketball, cricket, throwball and volleyball here.(f) security is maintained. The gates are always closed and locked when classes begin. Security is really efficient. Gates are kept open, again, only for the PTM/Annual Day.(g) The results from this school are amazing, it is one of the top CBSE schools in the Bangalore South region. The class average slightly decreased for my batch due to the introduction of full-year syllabus exams by CBSE.(h) it may take quite some effort, but eventually, taking things in the right way and clearing all misunderstandings by calmly TALKing with the management will provide the best experience, for both curricular and co-curricular activities.

My son studied class 10 last year in this school. This is the most horrible CBSE school I have even seen. I have a transferable job, so have moved multiple cities & my son has gone to different CBSE schools. This is the worst. Even within Bangalore, my son has attended two schools in south Bangalore(Presidency) & the one which he is in now. But there is a vast difference. There is no intimation of what chapter, topics being covered in school, there is no newsletter from school, on what activities being done, portions being covered, exam schedule. Nothing of that sort is being shared by school. Only email or intimation will come is for payment of hefty fees. The extra classes conducted for board students are being used for covering the syllabus & for that students need to stay in school late afternoon. For any program they will ask money from parents. Teachers dont pay equal attention to all. only few of their favorite students gets the attention. Rest all are harassed. They hardly cover any worksheet for each chapter during the entire year & whatever ws is given at the end of year few weeks before exam. Teachers are not even bothered if a child has not done/submitted their homework. All these makes the child overburdened and depressed. Even their results for the last 2 years has been pathetic compared to other CBSE schools that are around. No proper playground, as the land in the front of the school is mostly used for parking. The road near the school is fully broken and dusty. Anyone can enter the school thro the ground area as there is no security there. I can go on and on.Recommendation: Stay away from this school, if you want your child to excel in studies & other co curricular field
