GEAR is a great school! As a student whos been in GEAR since the age of 2, I have had an extremely fulfilling and enlightening journey, where I have learnt so much through the most novel of experiences. GEAR provides a safe space for students to learn from their mistakes, and encourages people to try different, less known things. They provide their students with several opportunities that one couldnt even dream up if they tried. Their philosophy of integrating multiple intelligences, the seven habits of highly effective people, and divergent thinking has resulted in an environment that encourages learning beyond books, and outside the classroom. The recent addition of the ATL, which is well-equipped with the latest of machinery, and the sports facilities has only enhanced the overall experience. Lastly, they have managed to optimise the online platform and introduce several new, interesting activities and programs that have made the pandemic a little less unbearable. In conclusion, if youre someone who likes small, secure environments, and have a keen desire to learn, then GEAR is the place for you!

The school, like most others has its pros and cons. The environment for students is engaging and enriching. Students learn as much outside of classroom (in terms of communication, leadership, responsibility and more) as they do in the classroom. Everyone in the school is approachable and open minded.Additionally, the infrastructure and facilities in the last few years have drastically improved. In the last year and a half, students have not been able to make a most of this due to the pandemic and the virtual classes it entails. On that note, it is fair to say that GEAR has outdone itself with the virtual classes. The classes are engaging and the school has tried to provide as many opportunities as they can and make the best of the platforms.Recently, the school has also started a mental health programme where students have regular mandatory Health Education classes, along with which students can have one-on-one counselling with the school counsellors if they like. This programme has certainly benefited a lot of students, especially teenagers.Nonetheless, the school does have some issues: the food is subpar, and time to time, there is heavy rotation in teachers mid-year. However, these nitty-gritties can be ignored as it is made up for by the overall environment the school provides.

Not good school, very cheap each month students have 4+ tests. The tests have the same amount of portions are unit tests. They even record every session but dont even send the recordings. We are paying the school with hard earned money but dont get recordings.Just because 1 or 2 students dont join the online classes and use the recordings to learn the whole grade has to face the consequences. In offline school the food tasted so bad and if you wanted to get home lunch you have to have a medical reason or else they dont allow.A lot of kids puke because of the food, they know its bad still they dont improve it.Dont put your kid here they give less than they promise you will regret it.My child has a 5+ year experience with gear so we know how the real gear is.

Worst school. I have relocated from US to India and admitted my Kid to Gear which was one of the biggest mistake i ever did. They are very much money minded and quality of education is way poooor. During the Pandemic they collected the transportation fee and now they are not willing to return. They will charge additional 100Rs per day if you delay the fees despite if any admin error from them. Finally i have moved my kid from this school. Please please dont fall in there sugar-coated words at the time of admission. They will also try to complicate at the time of admission by stating parents should talk to Chairman and all are just showcase. Even teachers dont stick here for more than 2 years. Purposefully they will send 2 pages of communication through e-mail and somewhere in the middle of 2ndpage they make some significant points which we often dont have time to go through there initial Ramayanas. When you ask some questions later they will say we have already communicated but you havent raised any concerns at that point. Useless Management, No ethics. Please dont play with Kids Future and test Parents Patience.

This review is for Gear management. Unable to get a admitted from a different branch of gear school. The management tricked us and told us to take up a seat in another branch almost 1.5hrs from home telling as it was mid year application. The admin then - Minal assured that transfer can be done later. We have been trying the same for the last two years with no success. They do not even want to consider my child as a fresh applicant. Looks like the school prefers new children over their own!

I am writing this note to you to express our sincere gratitude to the school and all the mentors who were able to keep the kids engaged meaningfully via the online classes during this quarantine period. Also noticed some interesting models where assignments were given at a “pre defined” time to maintain the attention and focus of students – very innovative indeed! Thanks for initiating this innovative learning model, which I suspect, will stay on as another channel for students to connect with the mentors in the future too!.

Kids like the school & learn in Montessori method (for real). Generally observed that kids are usually, well rounded for their age.School has got lots of sports facilities (3 Squash Courts, 3 indoor badminton courts, 1 basketball court, 1 Tennis court, 3 table tennis, football ground etc).We shifted residence & chose to live in this part of Bangalore just to put our kid in GEAR school :)

WE ARENT ALLOWED TO DO ANYTHING IN CLASS. ALL THE SCIENCE EQUIPMENT IS LIKE 50 YEARS OLD AND WE GET BLAMED IF SOMETHING BREAKS EVEN THOUGH WE ARE OUTSIDE THE LAB.

All the kids in my large joint family study here. I couldn’t be happier with the school. Children study in a stress-free, yet strongly academic environment. The teachers are more like mentors than the ruthless disciplinarians you see at other schools. The school gets its academics absolutely right.I also see my children learn all that I missed when I was at school - how to handle ambiguous work, collaborate in teams, and communicate well.Students turn out to be good in their studies, well rounded and very confident in themselves.

I would not comment much on the quality of education as one may have different views on this. We were quite satisfied and would particularly mention the good quality of worksheets that students get as homework. What I was most impressed with was this - we had to withdraw our children from the school 1 month after we paid the fees for the second semester (because we were relocating to another City) , but the school refunded us the remaining fees. I think most private schools may not do this. Im

This school is a scam, none of the motos are true they purely judge you from your academic performance. Some teachers are really good while others arent qualified enough and are way too strict. The say we have a lot of extracurricular activities but all of them get taken by teachers and outdoor activities are literally non existent. But its not all bad they have really good lab called ATAL its really modern and has really good equipment. But thats about all the good things i got to say. The computers have windows XP and have pentium which is one of the oldest processors.

I am Lt Col N Padmanabiah (Retd) and I had a desire to be associated with a School post my retirement for the sheer joy of it. I was part and parcel of GEAR School for a couple of years and wish to share my views about the School for the benefit of parents who are concerned about their children education..The children enjoy their school life very much, one reason being the tension free atmosphere..there is no bullying by seniors, rather seniors are affectionate and kind to their juniors..there is no such thing as indiscipline of any kind that I have come across..Teachers are good and are checked if found to be rude with children..The Chairman and family reside inside the campus, hence no scope for any undesirable activities during or after the School hours..this is good because children or staff don’t get to gossip..Security of children and the campus are extremely well secured..A good mix of children from all parts of the country is another plus point..Children grow to be confident and rounded in personality..I did see some parents who monitor the mark sheet of children every month feeling somewhat not fully happy..but I also saw some parents engaging tuitions after school hours to enhance higher scores in higher classes..The student to teacher ratio is very good and enables personal attention to each student.Overall this School is value for money and also value for children in their most impressionable age.

Dear All,Sharing my 3 year of experience with GEAR school. My kid joined GEAR gurukul campus in the year 2017 ( 3rd grade ) and first year was difficult for her to cope up with the teaching methodology.Teaching : Its a CBSE curriculum . Teachers are good and cooperative. From grade 5 onwards some concepts are explained by showing videos .They have a concept of weekend worksheets and weekly homework. Homework is communicated on every Monday through email.Exams : GEAR conducts ASSET , Olympiad , green Olympiad etc exams every year.Sports : In year 2019 they have improved a lot on sports infrastructure. They have indoor badminton court, 2 basketball courts , squash , table tennis etc.Labs : They have very well equipped computer labs. In ipad class kids get to solve objective maths problems. School sends proper report for every child via email.School provides healthy Indian breakfast and lunch . Junk food is Strictly not allowed. We are very happy with GEAR. Seen lot of improvements in last couple of years and hoping for more. The best part is stress free , happy environment which kids experience. No bullying or mis-behavior happens in class or school.ThanksBhawana

I had gone through the website of Gear and it was really promising and the first impression I had is that I should admit my son in Gear Innovative international school for sure. So, Filled in online enquiry the same day for my son for grade 4. A week later I received a reply to for registration and test for my son. We went to the school where we have been asked to pay Rs 1000/ as application fee, and son was called in for an assessment. It was 1 Hr. written assessment, Post the assessment my son was so happy with the way he performed in the assessment and he was discussing about the math, English and science questions asked… We were also happy as my son is from Montessori environment and giving assessment for the first time in 4 yrs.A week later we got an email for Prospecting Parents Meeting, so we were still more excited to attend. We reached the place well before the requested time. All the parents were called into a A/C room for the PPM. First the principal started by explaining the high-level hierarchy of their organization. Then the son of the Founder spoke about 20 to 25 Mins only about the fees (Which they would have given a pamphlet instead), Then comes the Founder of the institute Mr. Srinivasan, He spoke for about 30 Mins and the whole 30 Mins it was self-praise and every minute he pulls example from United states( In United states…).I was not so happy the way he was talking . His philosophy is to believe him and then see the results as he is not ready to divulge into more details etc.… As a new parent how can I believe a stranger without knowing what the product is going to be. Then comes the Q&A where most of the parents were insulted for their questions… The way he treats the parents were frustrating and I did not expect that from a senior educationist like Mr. Srinivasan, who claims to have Masters in Gifted & Talented Education from the University of Connecticut, USA. I lost hope in the school there itself. Immediately after the PPM the parents were given slots to meet the founder for further discussion along with the kid.We went along with the kid (Because of Wife’s compulsion) and the Kid was so excited to see the school, but I was telling my son that GEAR is not the only option and there are lots of options …as I have in back of my mind that I won’t admit my son in GEAR. We were called inside a room where the founder along with some other lady was waiting with the Assessment answer sheet. There was no proper greeting to my son from the founder to make him ease to the new environment, He seems so stressed (I can feel that). Few Mins of silence and the founder said your son will not suit the School. I was thinking how he can say that in front of the kid. My kid was supposed to cry, and I was convincing him by giving him a fake smile. I was so angry at the founder and want to stop him there itself… Then he gave a question to my son, my son was already in different state of mind, he did not answer the question. Then the founder started next round by going further and saying that my sons lacks in language and no creativity, he went further and said their 4th grade students will have more creativity. I don’t know how I was going to convince my son for the rest of the day. My Wife asked the founder how they feel that my son won’t fit GEAR, the immediate reply was “The written assessment”. So, we left for the day with heavy heart and whole the return journey I have to say moral stories to my son that the world is so big and there are lots of things to explore, etc.… But still my son had his face down whole day. I really felt bad for bringing a bad experience to my son at this early age.I really don’t know about the school , but this guy ( Srinivasan) is really not fit for the school atmosphereMy questions are1. How can an experienced academician can break the bad news in front of the Kid?2. If they were judging the kid based on the Assessment, they shouldn’t have wasted our time in inviting us for meeting?

Dont even think of sending your kids here ! So before sending your kid to school , what do you want to do ?a) Check about schoolb) meet to teachers and look at the classroom ?c) understand the fee structure and hidden charges ?Having all that in mind , i ( after taking an appointment ) walked in to school and here is what i was toldYou cant look into classroomYou need to meet Coordinator to know about fee structure. And to meet the coordinator you need to register and pay 1000 INR/, so that you can get your questions answered. So I paid 1,000 , and waited for 1 hour to meet with with Mr XYZ and asked him questions that i had.I was told , see you have many questions and you need to come back on such and such date where to know further : ( ...That was the time i decided my kid is not going to such a school, They dont honor others time and address the concerns of parents. I cant send my kid to such a place.I will consider my 1000 as a donation so that they can improve their services.
