This is a government hospital. So facilities and cleanliness are like any other government hospital.Covid vaccination is available here, there is physical token distribution by BBMP for vaccination, people stand in queue between 7AM-9AM for vaccination token but BBMP officials only come at 9 AM & give token, everyone including senior citizens are forced to stand 2 hours for token. BBMP officials say they give 100-200 tokens everyday of which 30-40 are reserved for health workers. Token & vaccination is only for 45 years and above and is free.Even after token, they start COVID vaccination at 10.30 AM.Both during token and during vaccination queue social distancing is not adequate.Once you enter for vaccination room, the data entry & shots are pretty fast. The doctors/nurses are well trained for vaccination and they do it very effectively. While for vaccination token there is separate queue, they have common queue for covid test and scanning and here there is no social distancing at all.The display facilities to understand where to stand for what facilities are very pathetic, so people wonder and suffer a lot wasting time. While queue are big enough and take hours to move , there are no sitting arrangements. Both Vaccination and testing queue is outside the building and in open sky. There is adequate 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler paid parking available. For 4 wheeler the attendant asks for Rs. 50/ but its actually Rs. 20/, so do fight with them for your buck and also collect your token.

We went for our 18+ vaccination on 11/05/21 in Jayanagar General Hospital and the experience was good.First thing we noticed was there are multiple blocks in the huge premise, 45+, 18+ and corona care is all happening in different blocks which would be a huge relief plus there is enough parking space inside. The whole drive was done very professionally, the steps were simple and the staff were very helpful handing out information to everyone who had a query. Also the staff were making sure social distancing were followed as much as possible which was a good thing.Even when we were near the vaccination area (inside the block), the floor was very clean for a government hospital and the vaccination providing staff were very helpful and making sure we were comfortable. There is also a small waiting area to monitor yourself for 15-20 min.All in all, a good experience, dont wait for a private hospital slot, if you get here go ahead and book one.P.S. Take a pen with you, you will thank me later.

Came here for 18+ Covid vaccination. Parking is ₹20 only and not ₹50, so question them!!!!! Overall experience was very good. Very systematic and well maintained. This was for 18 to 44 age. If you have got a slot here then better to come here than a private hospital. Vaccination is free. Only people who have appointment will be given vaccine. People come here from 7 am.

Dr Ramachandrappa who is the medical superintendent should look into the cleanliness aspects of the hospital urgently. The cleaning staff is not doing their job, instead they are engaged in collecting money from public. Hygiene of this hospital is very bad and staffs are not supervised properly. It will be ideal for him to give the cleaning job to an external agency so that hospital will be clean. Otherwise hospital will be a breeding ground for other diseases.

My experience at the Jayanagar General Hospital was very good. My husband and I went on 29th of May. Here I want to mention that Doctor Sudha helped us a lot. If not her, it was not possible for me and my husband to get vaccinated. My husband and I thank her for the wonderful gesture. She was very kind and co-operative, she also cleared all our doubts. We took Covaxin 2nd dose. I got my Certificate and again it was Doctor Sudha who helped us get it. It is very tough to come across such wonderful human beings these day.Thank you Doctor 🙏.

Today after standing in the que from morning 6 o clock...at JAYANAGAR GENERAL HOSPITAL, hospital issued tokens at 7.30 confirming they had 40 doses of COVAXIN. They issued token nos starting from 60. They asked us to come back at 2 pm and when we came at 2o clock, and waited,at around 3pm they started given reasons they had only 30 doses as some covishield people had mistakenly taken covaxin and hence there was shortage. We could see some people coming from other inside entrance and people started shouting and quarreling....some other lady interfered and said they had issued tokens at 12 pm from No 11 to 59 nos and since they were health workers and staff they had given vaccination to them....at one time one lady started threatening people that they will call the police and people stared shouting more.....Almost all people who waited from early morning were senior citizens and everybody were frustated and started quarrelling...situation began worsening and hospital people said they would give new tokens and we need not stand in the que again...and come back when stock would be available(which no one knows when)...its clearly seen this was just done to disperse people and clear situation...hope atleast this they would do promptly

The worst vaccination center. They issue tokens to people in the morning and ask them to come at specified time.In beteween they issue other tokens and and vaccinate people. To all those people who have got tokens in the morning , hospital staff is saying that vaccine is over as there were other people waiting. When a lawyer argued to this, the staff issued a clarification that, the tokens that were issued in beteween to others were for covid sheild vaccine, and they were wrongly given Covaxin. All fake excuses given by staff. If any authority is seeing this review please take action action against the staff, for wasting 60 doses of vaccine, by giving people alternate vaccines.

I have visited this hospital multiple times to consult in Dermatology, ENT, Ortho, Ophthalmology and general medicine. Every time I visited I found the staff to be organised and doctors polite. The morning timings are from 9AM-12PM. The afternoon timing to my knowledge is 2PM-4PM. I have always visited before 9.30AM as the hospital is less crowded during this time. Doctors are available from 9AM, so it is better to visit in the early hours else the crowd increase later. I have availed X-RAY facility and Physiotherapy and to my surprise unlike other government institutions, I did not have to pay anything extra apart from the regular charges. I hope this helps.

Shameful and irresponsible employees.Im a keralite who is working in Bangalore. Our hospitals are 100% better than this. We have 24 hours casuality and at least a normal practicing doctor or head nurse will be dere. Here no one is responsible . No doctors, no nurses even dere is no proper security. But dey will collect proper money from you for parking. Is karnataka government is dat much poor to take care of their people? Even Tamilnadu is safer and fairer than you. They always care their people and people coming from neighbouring states. This hospital is so pathetic and even the reception people have no manners. Shameless

This hospital popularly known with two names, one is Sanjay Gandhi Government Hospital, Tilak Nagar, Jayanagar, Bangalore (though Sanjay Gandhi Chest Hospital is near Bysandra, Jayanagar - 1km far) and the second one is, General Hospital, Jayanagar, Bangalore. This hospital is so popular in local for its treatment. In fact, this is cheap and best hospital. The Doctors, Specialist, Nurses, other Medical Staff and treatment are simply awesome. No idea but there is cure for almost everyone over here, that is what everyone says and happens.I am not writing review about this hospital but the fact is fact. We shall really appreciate this hospital and its management and every staff for their performance. This hospital is situated just less than half kilometer from well known Jayanagar 4th Block and in fact this hospital address is in 4th T Block. This is one of the high standard hospital and 24hrs open including for emergency trauma etc.Easy access for everyone and the surrounding is simply cool atmosphere.

The hospital is quite good but the staff remains adamant at taking constant bribes ,from security guards to nurses the nexus runs deep .All patients regarding there problem have to face a number of bribes just to get diagnosed. The lab in-charge X-ray technician everyone ask a bribe starting from Rs.100 to Rs.500 the staff is not much co operative. Some doctors are involved in the unlawful practice of doing only Cesarian operation to deliver babies even though there is no possible complication.Even though pregnant women insist on having a normal delivery when there is no complication the doctors force them to have Cesarian operation if not they threaten them . One in ten mothers gets a normal delivery , because all nurses and some doctors insist on Cesarian operation. to validate this claim any one can go and ask the current patients getting treated or you can generally pose as a patient and get an understanding of the problem general poor public and first time moms from a poor background face. the authorities might disregard the nexus but when a very poor mother faces this situation she has to silently embrace the pain and suffering. hope this trend stops immediately.this review is based on observation and public concern.
