5 Star for the Doctors and treatment. It is no doubt the best hospital for bone related issues. Dont even think of any other place. Reducing one star here because of infrastructure and quality. For such a well known and established hospital it just is outdated. Otherwise, a trusted hospital in Bangalore.

Best hospital for Spinal Surgery what I can say. As my mom got operated around 4 to 5 years back for 3 to 4 spinal discs and she is normal. Doctor N C Prakash a well known Spinal Surgeon who operated and he is a best surgeon what I saw till now. One of my friend referred to him but took a chance and yes he performed surgery to the best what I can say... Thanks Hosmat Hospital for having best doctors in your hospital. Even Dr Thomas Chandy is also a well known Orthopedic Surgeon in same hospital.

The process is very slow and ppl are moneyminded.They quoted the bill before surgery and said per implant is 30000 and 2 implants are to be used . But after the surgery they informed that no implant was used as it was not required. So logicai 60000 should be refunded . But they came up with some new mathematics and said per implant is 15k and we will return 30k. And its been one week after discharge I havent got the refund till now.Even if the doctors are good and treatment is good, the billing and finance is not good at all . Wont reccomend.

A neuro dr here suggested a immediate surgery (only surgery not even a single dose of medicine) for my moms leg pain. We consulted in other clinic and got treatment on the same day. Pathetic experience for us.

Not really pleased with this hospital. I had shortlisted this hospital for my mothers total knee replacement after evaluating a couple of other hospitals in the city. The deciding factor for this hospital was Dr. Chandy. No concerns or doubts on him. Everything else is what makes this hospital terrible place to be in.1. The nursing staff are not cooperative. When there were just 1-2 patients in the floor they were really efficient but things changed drastically once the number of patients increased to 7-8.2. The attendant is treated as a ward boy here. They will ask the attendant to buy petty items from the pharmacy, get food for the patient from canteen and all that. I mean why can’t they do it themselves. Does all other hospitals make the attendant run around for the patient’s errands?3. The infrastructure is really really old. Seems to me like I am back to the 70’s. Multicolored slips, running to collect reports from one corner to other, common elevator for patients (both alive and deceased) and visitors, non-functional air conditioning, wobbly fans in rooms, outdated beds and the list goes on. My concern is that if you are charging fees like Manipal or Fortis then atleast try to match their standards.4. Food. There is a general canteen at the ground floor obscured like a trash can because it is actually a trash can. I understand that this is an orthopedic hospital but that doesn’t really mean that patients will eat normal diet like bhajji, tomato rice and rasam. They need special diet. A basic coconut water is also not provided to the patient. The attendant aka ward boy has to take care and decide what needs to be given to the patient. Isn’t this the work of the dietician? Apart from that too the food is really tasteless and menu is repetitive so if someone has to stay for more than a day here try killing your taste buds as this hospital doesn’t allow outside food (including home cooked food).5. The emergency response team doesn’t really exist here. Around an hour ago I had complained to the nursing station about a deteriorating condition to which she replied that the on duty doctor is not picking up his phone. This happened for a good 15 crucial minutes. Then when I asked her the extension to the emergency I was able to reach the doctor instantaneously. The doctor convincingly said that he will be there to attend my mother in few minutes. Around 10-15 minutes later the nurse comes back to say that doctor is busy attending to emergency and will attend in an hour. It has been around an hour and a half but the doctor isn’t here. Thankfully my mother’s condition improved itself but this is something least expected in a hospital.HOSMAT is indeed a well known orthopedic hospital and Dr. Chandy undoubtedly is a legendary doctor but one needs to keep in mind that hospitals are not one man shows. It needs a dedicated team working round the clock. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone. Rather there are better hospitals like Manipal in Bangalore.

We booked an appointment for MRI for my moms right elbow..Reached the Hosmat hospital on time... Spent some time on registration and payment... Since we booked the first appointment for the day, we didnt have to wait for long... MRI procedure took around 45 mins and the report was ready by the time mom came out of the scan room... We had some queries on the report, the doctor at the department met us and clearly explained the report and observation. Post which, we have further consulted one of the orthos at Hosmat and got medication for mom. Overall its a seamless process and a good experience right from registration to scan to report to consultation. And the price is moderate compared to other scan centers.

So, I went to Hosmat Hospital which is in Bangalore as I have heard a lot about this hospital. I took my father with me as he was having pain in his right shoulder and he couldnt move his right hand fluently like the other hand. My father went to many other doctors for that purpose but was unable to find any solution or able to fix this problem.so I searched for the best orthopaedic hospital in India and I got to know about this Hosmat Hospital.After that I tried to book appointments online but unable to get anything about online booking so I gone through many other reviews and found that I need to go to the hospital directly and dont need any online appointment.so me and my father went directly there. From out side I was really confused is it really the hospital as the main road outside the hospital is in very worst condition. After that I went inside and got to know it was the hospital.In the entrance the security guard put an attendees tag on me and patient tag on my father. Then we both went in and we were sanitized. We were sent to the help desk and there was a lady who took some information about us and handed over a form to us. I filled the form and took a token from a auto generated machine then went to the Counter for payment. After payment we were said to sit in a lobby where other peoples are also waiting for their term. Then my fathers name was called in speaker then we went to the counter again and they took even more information and refed to a doctor in the ground floor. we went there and waited for few minutes then we were called inside . Doctor inside was very friendly he examined my father and said its a muscle freeze problem and will be fixed my exercise and no medicine or surgery is needed for that. He didnt even asked for any unnecessary tests. He is a genuine doctor and understood the problem very easily and suggest physiotherapy. Where they have shown some exercise which helped my father a lot. Overall I would say it was a nice experience and I would suggest people to go eary morning to avoid crowding. As croud was there as we were going back.

I had been to this hospital with my friend who had his fingers injured majorly. Dr. Deepak had suggested for vy or skin craft procedure . The procedure of admission, observation, surgery appointment and post surgery observation and room facility everything was taken care so well. And doctor also visited my friend post surgery , prescribed the medicines.We also had constant visit for another two months with Dr. Deepak to make sure the healing is going good. We are extremely thankful for the suggestion and method used to save those fingers.During this covid situation, we were worried of we wil get the good support from hospital, but thankfully we recd the best support from hosmat hospital and Dr. Deepak.Also, the cleanliness, precautions due covid was all well taken care off.

Good and cost effective treatment. But few Dr.s like one i ve talked below are too egoistic even to speak with patients and explain them about the issue and treatment.Recently I took treatment for my broken leg. Dr is highly knowledgeable but shows off as very reserved. Max 1-2 min I could spend time with him, in that, he would ve told me 3-4 times his dialogue - Do it fast man; dont waste my time; I ve patients waiting outside. I wonder am I also not his patient!?Desperately I googled about my problem and found info about treatment, care taking instructions, diet for bone healing etc... myself.

Very old hospital, poorly maintained infra, there is no place to sit within the compound the only place is waiting lounge which will give you all sorts of smell, there is one common toilet in the ground floor and it stinks worst than the public pay and use toilets sure someone will catch disease if used. Unfriendly staff, terrible procedures that make the patient and the attender run around. Does not look like private hospital from any angle, when it comes to hospitals there is no much choice, we are at the mercy of the hospital staff (right from watch man to the admin staff). The staff will tell you that it is walkin and no appointment required when you reach there the watchman will play doctors role he will ask all the questions then he will ask which doctor you to meet and he will say you can now go in, why did he waste my time asking so many questions I wonder. Then comes interesting part you have to take a token to speak to the receptionist and make payment even before meeting the doctor so be prepared to see your lucky number announced 😁 there are no counter numbers labelled u will still be asked to look for counter . Then go to the doctors counter wait there, the staff will not tell you everything in one go, they enjoy telling things in installments and make you run around for sometime. For a simple re-visit, making payment will take nearly 1 hour.Overall a very old place, unfriendly staff, badly maintained (no proper toilets, no common dustbins), parking is also paid based on the number of hours you park.

I wanted to send my employees for a covid check, I was willing to shell out 5k per head as they had asked. They made me run around for three days and finally told me as per hospital policy they only accept inpatient tests. There is no clear communication and very lackadaisical attitude. This hospital is not very dependable.

Just to say Thank you so much Doctor Chetan Rai wont be sufficient at all, frankly speaking in other words actually you are god for me i had my knee injury and many docs suggested that i had to go under multiple surgery with plates, Screw etc, but when i met Doc Chethan he did not even asked CITI scan report from his hospital (that time only i realized that he is not money minded), he just saw what i already had done the city Scan from different hospital.after checking all this things he just said i dont think so that you should go with surgery at all and he applied the plaster and whatever he said i followed the same and thanks to god and Doc Chetan that i am recovering so well

Absolutely Pathetic!Had an appointment with Dr Chetan A as my mother felt enormous pain in her wrist,the consultation was hardly for 5 mins as the doctor just saw the X-ray and told us its just a small problem and gave medicines for 1.6k and 2 days later no improvement so I decided to consult another doctor and we found out it was an hairline fracture in the wrist,its a disgrace that such experienced doctor could not even recognise such a major problem will definitely never visit back!

Not it has changed a lot, i can on 27th and paid consultation fees to dr somshekhar and that day he did not diagnose coz blood test report was not there and he called us on 29th again.When i came even the cash counter was saying that I need not pay but dr somshekhar was insisting me to pay the fees again.So for 1 diagnosis I paid Rs 1300 to him and also I was not fresh case it iss only repitition.According to management of hosmat should check their policy again.I can understand due to COVID you are not able to make much profit and the same is here that even we are not getting paid as earlier.Greedy doctor somshekhar of hosmat.He does it because he can call us to his own clinic bangalore rhumatology centre at vijaynagar

Had my operation for legs post a road accident.Doctors were really good and helpful.They explained everything in a very descriptive and detailed analogy to help understand.The rooms could have been better in terms of cleanliness.

They sell high margin products with lower quality. Bought 70pc alcoholic hand sanitizer. Charged 115 and the stuff is some locally made. Do not rely on this pharmacy if you have some other options.

Third class facilities. Govt hospitals are better managed these days. Nursing staff is pathetic. No attention paid to needs.. My dad was not even taken for a bath even after three days of operation. I recommend the doctors. adm staff pathetic.

Doctors at Hosmat are extremely efficient. But I have a huge issue with the physiotherapy department. Extremely unprofessional, keep patients waiting with nobody attending. Absolutely no system in place and a complete lack of communication. I have gone in twice for therapy after ankle surgery & both times Ive had extremely unpleasant experiences to the extent of therapists acting nasty with us for voicing opinions. Not acceptable!!!

Hospital might be ok but Why the hell the number provided in Google is always switched off. Provide the correct number for convenience.. Canteen food is a real waste. Vendor should be changed asap..

I have been here 2years before and the service was decent like nursing and support staff.Now its been a total disaster with worst service you can witness at the moment.After operation, no briefing by the doctors about the condition and further medication.Incapable nursing staff, there way of treating patients is horrible.Overall its a total irresponsibility, lack of ethics and become a complete business oriented.

Good hospital..but very money earning attitude people... doctor will prescribe u mostly those medicine which u will not find outside.. so u have to ended up buying the medicine from hospital medical shop by paying more money.In case of MRI ,if u r doing the MRI from outside diagnostic center instead of hospitals one...then u have to pay 500rs extra as the doctors will not be ready to accept outside diagnosis report so they will send u to their own MRI section and will say to get the second opinion and will charge 500rs ...this is totally useless money they are charging... only money minded peoples.At the end of the day both the reports will be same...but still instead of reading the report carefully doctor used to send for second opinion only to save their time...lazy fellows 👎

Had visited to get treated for hand fracture.Hospital is well organised, with multiple docotors for different kind of illness.They have a token system.Got a good treatment here with normal costing.A middle class person can afford to get treated here.

Stay away from this hospital unless you want to waste your time & money. I had an ACL recons 6 yrs back that never lasted successfully from the beginning and going for a repeat one in another good one. I have seen lot many failures in the ligament grafting surgeries that this hospital performs . The doctors here would easily take their u-turn in his opinion based on situation and the director is no exception ( not taking names in public forum as part of public decorum ). I have enough evidence to say with conviction as I have been running from pillars to post after undergoing the surgery here . It was the worst decision in my life .

This is the worst hospital I have ever visited in my life. Just for a TT injection, they make you run to 4-5 places. That too charges are sky high.I wonder if an emergency case comes, the patient will surely die.

Being situated at the heart of the city, nearer to MG Road, still the hospital not updated its various facilities like,It lacs in cleanliness. Old style billing counter,with two counters, old style cafeteria.It looks like a govt hospital where as the billing is as equal as Manipal hospital. The consultation room & the diagnosis room like x-ray and echo imaging other rooms are very old & narrow.

Not worth more than couple of stars. These two stars are the surgeons. Surgeons are extremely good. Other facilities and cooperation between their internal departments are pathetic. Even worse is their communication and courtesy towards the patient and attender is a cramp. The HOD post the surgery visits only 4th floor private rooms not the 3rd floor semi private rooms. I have experienced it. Last not the least...they have their 3rd party managed canteen as the hospital compels to have food from there only and house keeping is worst....one shall try experience and leave this hospital

Hello,Hope you are doing well but other patients are suffering!I know the starting note is really rough, but this is what I am feeling right now.Here is my journery which I am going through, I came to hospital at 12:15 PM as a new patient took the token and filled the form in 5 minutes. After that it took me 1 hour to reach the registration desk!Around 1:36 PM I paid the bill and they told me to go down in the basement you will meet the doctor.Now I submit my details and they told me it will take time, didnt mentioned the time just mentioned lots of patients are there.After 30 minutes of wait I went to the staff again and asked they told me it will take one to one and a half hour more.I am still in the hospital and waiting to see the doctor its been now 3 hours.Still 1 hour more to go. Not sure what kind of hospital this is!!Really pathetic service, if you cant accommodate then close the appointment and tell them it is full today please come tomorrow !!IN MY 26 YEARS OF LIFE I HAVE BEEN TO MANY HOSPITAL TAKING MY PARENTS MY FRIENDS BUT HAVENT SEEN SUCH TYPE OF SERVICE.AS A PATIENT I HAVE LOST ALL MY SPIRITHOPING THAT SOMEONE IS READING AND WILL RESPONSE!REGARDS,GAURAV

Except doctor rest of the staff of very unprofessional and untrained.1) please dont provide billing documents and receipts to staff during admission, it will be misplaced and staff will say no it was not part of file.2) During shift handover there is no checkout procedure they will not shared details apart from file to coming staff.3) Home therepy form is waste .. nursing staff never gives this form to home therepy team you will end up calling separately for appointment.4) There is no fixed timings for doctors, for follow-up nursing staff will keep you waiting for unnecessary workflows and by the time doctor will leave. Staff has no clue where the doctor is always they will say he is gone for rounds.

I heard this hospital has state of the art technology! Basic things like canteen, parking area or even hospital wards are not hygiene. Not sure about OP theater. I still believe there is good bunch of doctors working hard. But if basic things are not right how can it be a hospital.Even when asked to consult doc for something, response comes like doctor is not picking phone!Seriously look for alternatives if you can. And dont even think in anyway that its cost effective!

Dr Yogesh is best doctor very calm and friendly behavior explains very well I give 5 STARS for Yogesh Sir.I refer to consult him for any spinal issues. Worst thing is canteen they will charge a lot but the quality of food is extremely ZERO. I suggest better to avoid canteen food for patients for patient welfare.

As a family member I believe that the patients are suppose to be treated politely and with complete care , whereas Doctor krishnan prasad was very impolite and rude towards my brother which is definitely not acceptable. He is quite unprofessional which is absolutely bad .

Visited sometimes back. Not a very patient-friendly front office. Cumbersome paper works--employees are not tech savvy, dont understand English enough. But the doctors are excellent once you manage to reach them. The physio therapy section is excellent.

I would like to share my experience with Dr. Yogesh K. Pithwa.we got reference from one of my relative, meanwhile we have got full information in practo website. Then we got to know, he is working in Hosmat hospital. we took appointment in Hosmat hospital with Yogesh pithwa. He explain clearly about the issue, before that he requested for few scanning reports. we took all scanning from medal clumax diagnosis center(I felt fast service and Hassle free reports collection). Finally he suggested for operation.coming to the problem:My mom has spinal L4-5 disc bulging issue, we thought it is very difficult for mom to do operation. But after discussion with Dr. Yogesh K. Pithwa, we got confidence. Finally we took admission in hospital for operation.after finishing surgery, next day itself she started walking. after two weeks she used to walk normally.I recommend Dr. Yogesh K. Pithwa for consulting(spine issues).I recommend Hosmat Hospital for surgery(I felt they charged less operation cost when compared to other corporate hospital).Suggestion for Hospital management:1. Need to improve in Nursing department and Hospital maintenance.2. I felt canteen maintenance is too bad, even though they charged more but they are not giving good enough quality(need to improve a lot).3. Hospital management shouldnt force to buy canteen food only(unfortunately you wont find any other food centers near to the hospital, so you can get food from canteen only).Hospital process:Find the root cause of problem.Find the which department problem belongs too.Then find the best doctors and followed by hospital.Take token number with automated machine.Then wait for some time to your turn.Take consultation for known doctor and pay the money beside counters.before you consult the doctor, get the all scanning reports if you have.However doctor will suggest the new scanning reports.Find the best scanning center, I preferred clumax diagnose center. I got discount with reference of hospital.Once you get the scanning reports, consult the respective doctor.And then finalize the operation date.Come one day before the opeartion.The next day they will do operation, and discharge as soon as you wake up.After two weeks consult again for checking.

Hats off to orthopaedic doc team especially Dr. Rajshekar sir hes really great.Chandy doctor everybody response to patients is amazing, polite. They give hope to patients, help them to help themselves.

Wonderful Doctors, I got my mother in law, father in law and mummy treated here for their problems in Spine L4-L5. Dr. NC Prakash is good Doctor. Only issue with food arrangement for patients. They provide from normal cafetearia which is too spicy specially for senior aged patient. And they dont allow home food. Which I feel is not right, there should be special food with less oil and spices for patients. After operation no one can eat so much spicy Sambhar, Upma and the Thalis.Nursing and other staffs are very caring and polite.

Good hospital visited during 2004 more patients and have nice atmosphere with good canteen services

Very bad experience I had here ..my mother got admitted to hosmat for surgery . I faced problems and we got depressed ...care less report they like give and irresponsible nursing staff but some of them are good... Dont go for admission here

A good hospital.. And a worst hospital even without examining patient through proper tests, they are decided to make surgeries, some doctors dont touch patients also,

The Hospital seems like a Government Hospital. Needs lot of improvement in the maintenance and infrastructure. Avoid canteen food for your own good! Better avoid getting treated in this hospital.

Hospital is famous for orthopedic surgeries with best doctors.but little expensive hospital. Its worth for the treatment.but they can improve in hospitalities.canteen in that hospital is not good .no item from that canteen was good.just average in case of canteen.

I took appointment for Dr Thomas Chandy. However he let his students (inexperienced) checkup the patient. Then he comes and quickly checks the students observation and gives them feedback and he leaves the room (less than a min). Then his manager and students actually talks to patient.He asked for unnecessary tests ( after all he is part of hosmats management he has to think in numbers) I had X-ray and MRI but he wanted second opinion. His staff whispered to him that this patient dont have insurance, but it was too late as Dr Chandy already told me for additional scans.I got recommendation for this doctor but this act of greed completely destroyed my faith on this doctor and hospital.I consulted individual doctor (private clinic) and happy with the treatment.Never go to Hosmat if you dont have insurance.Dont go for Dr Thomas Chandy or Hosmat hospital.

Simply they charged more money.. n they tie pop n send us.. I have done mistake going there.. after that I took some ayurvedic treatment for 2 weeks with less money and i got recovered too

Very poor maintenance, just like govt hospital we have to carry the patient by wheel chair and the attenders are simply sitting or roaming and mere spectacular. to contact by phone you have to spend at least 30 minutes.

Worst parking staff

Had visited for back ache but the doctor has less interest in testing it but more in getting tests done. First he had suggested me for Xray which is common but after that he asked to get MRI done as he wont be able identify if there is an issue or not in X ray without out explaining the reason. Doctors are more keen in getting tests done rather than treating

Consulted ortho surgeon on a weekend(sat) and had to spend the almost d whole day because of mri slot to come. Its better you take prior appointment if any MRI is needed.

Best Treatment but Cost only High if we have any Insurance is fine. Treatment they doing there Best is nice......

As a worker over Hosmat hospital I remember one of my coworker lost one eye while operating oxygen cylinder; the hospital authorities able get the person off the record from hospital so that they dont have to make any compensation to the person. They didnt even treat the person for the accident that occurred @ work. I have to say that the hospital authorities are just money minded.

The worst! Had a fracture fixation sometime back and Dr Mohan doesn’t even check your fracture and healing process. Now I have a bent hand(it was a Bennett’s fracture) and cannot use it completely.

I visited Hosmat Hospital twice to consult a doctor in OPD. It is moderately cleaned. The doctor was nice and never tried to hold me back. Hosmat Hospital has ranked as one of the best hospitals in Bangalore for orthopedics treatments. It has a parking space and canteen, too.

One of the worst staff and worse management. They answer very arrogantly and delay in everything. Everything is slow and careless. Its a disappointment for medications. Only money minded mentality.

They dont know how to speak with patients. They dont hv appointment facility. Other hospital they inform if doctor is not coming in emergency. I never thought in this hospital this much poor facility.
