National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), is Indias first largest aerospace firm. It was established by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) at Delhi in 1959 and its headquarters was later moved to Bangalore in 1960. The firm closely operates with HAL, DRDO and ISRO and has the prime responsibility of developing civilian aircraft in India. The CSIR-NAL mandate is to develop aerospace technologies with strong science content, design and build small and medium-sized civil aircraft, and support all national aerospace programmes.
Best civil aerospace R&D institution of India.
I had a very good opportunity to visit this place as a part of industrial visit from our college. People here explained us about few departments some of them were about different Unmanned Areal Vehicles (UAV) and acoustic testing room. Acoustic testing room was fantastic. People here were so polite to clear our doubts. There were still many more sections here... But due to time limitations we could not explore many things.
I have done my Final years project here. Awesome Experience about planes. Wonderful place. low solver department is good. But Quiet lazy people are also there.
Irrespective of the branches of study all the candidates are expected to have Computer Science Knowledge in depth. If you want only Computer Science people why cant you just specify in the online application saying that only Computer Science candidates alone should apply. They call for an interview for the post of project assistant 1.5 years after applying through online. Very irresponsible people who do not organise the interviews. Why cant you specify the area of work and the name of the project while applying itself ? As such all the work is outsourced to vendors and temporary contract workers. Moreover importance should first be given to Mechanical, Aeronautical and Electrical candidates as these are the only core branches with which NAL was formed. Why do you need to take Computer Science people ? They have abundant opportunities everywhere. Only these core branches are in dire need of improvement through proper employment.
