A well planned community for senior citizens. One of the first such ventures. It has many facilities like a restaurant, a convenience store, banking at door step, medical facilities and so on. It is a little far from the city and away from the main road. Conveyance becomes difficult sometimes.

Living here for the past 4 yrs. Athashri is Gods own place. It is a very secure place for seniors, with lots of activities to take care of their, physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

Home for senior citizen..very well constructed

Like the previous reviews have mentioned this used to be a very nice place which now is run by the owners association. Very callous and cruel decisions taken without any regard to aged people staying there. My 2 cents, avoid the place like a plague!!

Well disciplined society with divine aroma

Athashri is community of gracefully aged and commited people. Most of them are highly qualified in several different walks of life and now spend their old age in quite simple and happy life. Less negatively minded and improve their health through their regular yoga and intellectual exercises they keep their mind young. They want to contribute to the society as they have received much from the society. Wonderful community living in peace and serenity is Athashri.

Athashri has been a pioneer in starting retirement homes for senior citizens. Here you have the facilities they look for- a canteen that gives wholesome food, hygienically prepared and at very reasonable charges, a qualified resident nurse available any time of day or night, an ambulance and a van, a gym, swimming pool and recreation facilities and above all a very friendly, mutually supporting group of men who have had long years of work experience in senior positions in government, the corporate sector, defence forces, teaching, the medical profession etc,. Truly a community worth joining.

Good place for old people.ate in canteen ffod was better than I had accepted people were very friendly.specially inmates.inmates seemed to mingle well with each other.

If I could give this place less than one star I would. Having discriminated against my grandmother because she could not communicate in English like the rest of the elite members. Because the committee members didnt want her around because she was slow in mingling and interacting with them. And most importantly because these members could very well assert their authority in issuing a NOC against anybody they didnt seem fit, all assuming to be doctors and nurses from the department of health, didnt allow my grandmother to stay there with a full time care taker at the age of 68 with no other crippling problem other than diabetes.I wish I could say or do more other than write this review. But I think finding a more viable home for the aged will be fruitful.

The building is poorly built. There’s a lot of leakage when it rains esp in the common areas. Some of the rental units also have history of leakage and those issues are not disclosed to you up front. The residents are unaccommodating for the most part. The medical services are yet to be properly structured. The ambulance they have is an eye wash. I witnessed a very inexperienced staff attempting to place a stroke patient into the ambulance and it took them over 20 mins to do it and they didn’t have an driver for the ambulance.The committee members are very rude and tend to make rules on the fly to fit their personal needs. The food is vegetarian, the kitchen leaves a lot to be desired. The guest room is not well maintained to say the least.The manager seems to be over worked by the residents. They tend to walk all over him with no show of respect.There are many cliques among the residents and there seem to be plenty of in fighting. Everyone expects you to speak to them in their language and are dismissive of outsiders.Do a cost comparison before you invest.Buyers and renters beware.

Although this property is projected as Senior home, this does not live upto to it. The person living has to have her own arrangements for cleaning the house and morning coffee. A committee of persons living there decide the food menu.

Seems to be an excellent place for retirees who want to live on their own steam. We met one resident who gave glowing feedback about the place. Most important, never a dull moment, with movies on Wednesday evenings, Bhajans on Thursday evenings, and Conversations on various topics on Saturday evenings

A well built set of apartments for senior citizens

Further to my other postings on Athashri , Whitefield, Bangalore calling it not a good place for senior citizens , I like to add the following :1, The canteen has no service facility- even old and invalid people in wheel Chairs are required to carry thier own food from the counter to the table and put the used plates back on some tray placed far away. .2. Originally foods were supposed tobe served on the table but some overenthusiastic committee membres decided to stop that facilty. Thier argument (put forwarded by a retired Brigadier of the Indian army ) is that they do not want food to be wasted.3. There is no afternoon snack and tea/ coffee, the night meal is an insult.4. The devepoler, Paranjape Schemes who developed this project and who was supposed to run this place (through its other organ called Athashri Homes Pvt Ltd) , is totally driven out by a group of over active group of people and their wives - the Resident Manager (RM) who is supposed to mange this facility is reduced to a non entity by these self styled leaders.5. The Developer has happily washed its hands off all its responsibilities leaving the responsibilties of running this palce to some self styled leaders who are nothing but jokers to the detriemnt of all those who decided to buy flats here or moved in on rent .This is the present position.4. Is there any need to say more about this place supposed to be for senior citizens ?5. This place does not deserve any rating. I had to mark 1 * because unless I mark a star , the message could not be sent. It certainly does not deserve any star rating.I would be very haapy if can get out of it.

1. The building is good even though there are many defects.2. As a fretirement home for senior citizen it is just hopeless.3. Canteen food is simply bad and cannot be improved because of an ingnorant Food Committee whose mebers think they are the ultimate authority of food .4. Many of the Residents are racists..5. . There is a strong suspicion that some of the MC memebrs are in the payrole of the builders.6. Some of the wives of some MC members are doing huge damage .7. The secreatry is an illeterate person, who was made the secretary by a cunning group of MC members and another person (name not disclosed) keeps interfering without any authority , thereby violating all rules and regulations of a civilised society.8. On the whole this place is a very badly msnsged Indeed there is no mangement of any kind at all.. I realise this now after staying here for the last 3 years. Regret selling my house in Chenani and buying a flat here , which I had thought would be good because of the good reputation of the builder, Paranjape Schemes Pvt Ltd. at the time. when I bought a flat here. Now that company has lost all my trust in it.9. I strongly advise those who want to buy or rent a place here to avoid doing so.10. I have marked 1 STAR for this place because that is the lowest given in Google web site. If I could I would have given it a much lower grade.

Athashri Road has been wrongly shown in the Google map as OPH Road. Th er re is no such road. I would be grateful if this can be corrected and put back as Athashri Road which is the name given to it by the municipal corporation.

A bunch of jobless jokers the people in the committee are, who think their NOC is what rules the world.They have different set of rules for tenants and owners. The owners can live alone wherein the tenants can’t stay alone even with caretakers with them.Small minded people.
