We currently have our kid studying at Kumon.Negatives first:1. Stench because of lack of ventilation - I know, study should be the point of focus. But everytime I go there, the stench because of a lack of oxygen is unbearable. The only source of fresh air is the door. 4 fans in the childrens room - only one or two are on at any time. Large glass windows seeming there for use, but never used. All in all, I feel sleepy in the parents waiting area which is partially ventilated because of a door. However, I feel pity for the kids who have to literally sit in a class box with no ventilation for extended times to study. I have pointed it out several times, bit this problem is not one on priority. It seems there is an AC that is never on.2. Low quality teachers - Kumon is simple and repititive. You get a lot of workbooks. The quality of teachers is not really required, but at least they should be encouraging teachers. Of late I have seen the new teachers being irritated and not really understanding the nuances of child psychology. Expect better at this price point.3. Expensive - About Rs 4500 for a single subject4. Repetition of Books - Despite Kumon in general being slow and repetitive in nature, the teachers often repeat books without rhyme or reason, probably because of a lack of organization. When asked they say they do it deliberately but I have not been able to find a particular logic or pattern to this exercise.Positives:1. Organization- At least for half an hour your child has repetitive academic tasks which has helped our kid to get some organization into studies.2. Focus- Done the right way, kids improve their focus and discipline.3. Maths and English- Kids catch up to these two subjects at least up to the general academic level. This is general studies and the level of books is average. Nature of work is repititive. Kumon seems to have the motto that same things done again and again will improve learning.4. Lot of booklets5. Center head affable, available and easy to talk to.

My son (4.5 years) joined the centre (for english) 8 months back. Earlier he was going for speech therapy since he is having speech delay issue. We thought to give a try at Kumon since speech therapy was not much successful to our kid.We have been seeing unexpected improvement on our kid since February 2019. Our kid loves reading books and started speaking full sentence. Earlier he was not able to speak words properly. Also, we have heard from school that he is doing his own assignments without help. We would like to thank centre head and all teachers. We will continue the program till he completes all levels.

Just love the way teachers interact with kids and make it fun learning. Kids just love to go and enjoy. When learning is fun who doesn’t want to have fun and that’s the main reason kids love it and so do the parents.Keep it up Kumon! Great going!!

My daughter joined the center last year and since then her English has improved quite significantly. She learn by herself and we just have to assist marginally. I will continue this program till she has completed all levels.

It has been almost 3 months since i have joined my son in Kumon Whitefield Center and I can see good improvement in his english. My son never used to talk to anyone in school and always had fear to talk to someone and was not able to speak, read and write properly. In just 3 months after sending to Kumon, we can see good improvement in his english and his confidence levels. Even his school teachers have told that my son is now talking to everyone and trying to answer if they are asking something which he was lacking before. A special thanks for the staff in this center.

I have had a great experience with this Kumon centre. My son has developed a lot of interest in maths and is doing really well. Hats off to the staff of this centre. I strongly recommend.

Kumons self learning program has helped my niece to be independent. Now shes able to understand concepts well before its taught in school. Thanks to the staff who monitor kids so closely.

I enrolled my daughter last year and I can see a great deal of improvement. Her ability to learn by herself has improved and it also helped her in learning by herself in other subjects.
