My friend took admission in undergraduation through IGNOU and the faculities related to IGNOU in this college are very very careless and donot ressolve students queries. I was shocked to see the behaviour of Librarian & other IGNOU faculties.Worst experience !!!

The Government Science College is born out of the visionary foresight of the erstwhile Maharaja (King) of Mysore, His Highness Shri Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar on the 1st of April 1921 as an intermediate college. As a testimony to its leadership in higher education, the institution has grown from a modest intermediate college to a full-fledged undergraduate college and now into a post-graduate institution with research programs.GSC has been dedicated to quality education and to preparing students for leadership in diverse walks of life while at the same time being tempered by social concern, empathy and visionary leadership across two centuries. Owing to its scope and pace of change, post-2000 will go down in the history of GSC as the period of its most spectacular expansion and quality enhancement. College Campus is good enough..Fees are very low as compared to other colleges in Bangalore.but there is no proper dress code for students..anyone can come in any dress and this is something horrible..since the medium of communication is english..but Kannda language is preferred most by students n teachers..so its little bit problem for outsiders(out of state students).Rest everything is ok n good place to study..Teachers are very frndly and approachable

EMSt (economics, mathematics, statistics) and CsMSt is the best combination. I think who will get into this subjects definitely they will never see back because they will get better jobs after masters in any subjects in indian statistical institute or if you do masters in economics DSE,IGIDR,MSE, waiting for you for good placements..I will suggest go for ahead this combination. Over all college is good environment. And faculty.

Nostalgic place for a lot of Bangaloreans who studied here. The building is crumbling coz of bad maintenance. Class rooms still has benches and desks from pre Independence era. UNESCO should consider this building as an historical protected monument since many popular educationalists, writers, thinkers emerged from this college. Good thing about this college is it has a Metro station connectivity from back gate.

Very Good College for Science degree course. One of the oldest colleges in Karnataka.Awesome faculty members & Professors with good teaching. Campus is filled with trees. Play ground & Canteen are located inside the college. Transportation is so much easy that bus stop is in front of the college & Metro Station is next to the college.

Good atmosphere, with well infrastructural facilities with dedicated teachers/ lecturers, therefore it makes knowledgeable students. Generally, they get good opportunity for pursuing higher studies or job potentials from this institution. Transport facilities are good, it is easy to reach to the institution, the canteen and cafeteria are works well, therefore you can get quality food. In the evening, you can do exercise in the gym or may be you can play some games either inside or may be outside. Overall it looks good.

Had been here for an exam. The environment is amazing with full of trees and beautiful birds chirping (like old Bengaluru). You can sometimes hear the outside noise pollution disturbing this calmness.Dont expect the restrooms to be clean. I would suggest to carry a sanitizer for sensitive people.
