I am present student of a brand UVCE (UNIVERSITY VISVESVARYA COLLAGE OF ENGINEERING BANGLORE). The main department of engineering in K. R. Circle and the civil department is in jnan bharati campus Bangalore university. About the environment is very good as compared to any other place in Bangalore. One of the best and best engineering college of India. I love it.

I am ex student of this department, As per my knowledge, one of the largest civil engineering department in India , even many IITies wont have as much as faculties and specialisations (Mtech course) are present in this college , but never expect infrastructure very poor 1/10.

It’s quite nostalgic feeling for me. Ours was the first batch of Civil Engineering from UVCE, KR Circle to be shifted to Jnana Bharati campus. Whole campus was just developing; we were feeling as if we were in a different country!Our Principal was Dr. BK Ramaiah, who was known as ‘terror’ for his strict discipline! No ragging! No roaming! We had punctual University bus service provided from different parts of Bangalore and I was mostly boarding at National College. I don’t know how those 5 years elapsed so fast and moved to IITM for PG! Attained retirement age now!!There used to be tough competition every semester for Ranks especially between UVCE and BMS. As we progressed, we started getting more and more ranks semester after semester compared to other colleges! No doubt that the Civil department had fantastic Lecturers/Readers/Professors and hence the Civil Dept had very good reputation.

Infrastructure is good and surrounding environment is peacefull but the campus maintenance is not satisfactory and not safe due to movement of less people.
