Review №1

While the teaching aspects are decent, practical exposure for FilmMaking students is lacking, with no proper editing labs, editing systems, lenses, etc. There is a Chroma studio, and as the name suggests, it is just a room with a green screen covering one wall, no editing setup or editing systems, or even internet connectivity. Even Chroma learning is limited, and so is its use.In terms of general infrastructure, there is a lot of room for improvement; basic elements, such as adequate rooms, laptop charging sockets, internet connectivity, classrooms treated for reverb (which results in lecturers being completely inaudible to some), as well as bad toilets too. It seems they are too old to upgrade and keep up with the newest advances in learning infrastructure and environments. These start to resemble school rooms of the yesteryears, where dozens of students occupy the same rooms, bouncing echos off the walls. From what I could understand, only Gaming and Sound Students had well equipped and good systems to work with and the rest of the courses, like Filmmaking, Photography, VFX could go undergo some serious improvement, as the lakhs of rupees students pay to attend this course and attain their qualification isnt properly reflected in the quality of the infrastructure and educational amenities (many of which may be argued to be essential for the learning process) that are made available to them.To conclude, what I felt is that while the teaching and learning here allows everyone to get good exposure, with respect to the class room experience, iminent, budding industry professionals are often handled like kindergarten/1st grade students, with far too many rules and restrictions imposed upon them.In an industry where professionalism and professional understanding of the craft is so stressed upon, students from the 21st century being nurtured and prepared for it ought to have far greater exposure to professional infrastructure, and a learning environment to match.
