Greetings, I was from a recent batch of Audiolife.I dont know whether it was the Covid or the institute or both together that we were quite unfortunate about some things like studio visits being cancelled or not holding regular classes, but I seemed to notice that the course is not working out as a whole regretfully. Placements are not promising anymore both because there has been severe unemployment in this sector in the past year, and also the environment is no longer as meritorious as one would have imagined because it has saturated to the brim due to too many sound engineers and too less jobs. The educational cost amounting upto a whopping 3.5 lakhs isnt justified AT ALL. The number of classes are too less and it all ends up in just referring Youtube for all the information rather than teachers teaching normally. Maybe I can give one star because of the live sound faculty as it was quite thought provoking, but all-in-all waiting for a year to attend this course and find a job in this sector only seems to be a waste of time nowadays. As Im writing this post with such repent and disappointment, I have to say this-Sound engineering is NOT a viable career anymore for the future. Its better to stick with subjects like commerce or regular engineering or even other diplomas and find jobs there at much lesser fees and better salary.It also sucks that India does not have a good support system for performing arts at all.
