Wow first lets talk about the packaging. It was spill proff. I had ordered the chicken bowl from this place. Spicy and tasty chicken curry. Loved the flavour added. With the rice it made a good combo. Chicken was tender and juicy. Looking forward to order other dishes soon.

If you are bored of the same North Indian food then how about some Kashmiri Food:Sarposh delivers home a box of deliciousness. A box of safforn rice which is cooked in safforn enhancing the flavour of the rice.On the side we had Ruwangan Tchaman where soft and tender paneer is simmered in rich tomato gravy, the sauce is flavoured with fennel seeds and Kashmiri Spices. The gravy has a good tadka with gheegiving you the flavour of Kashmir and ghee. The combination of safforn rice and Ruwangan Tchaman is something to experience, relish and enjoy. The packaging was good, there was no spillage in the delivery.

This magnificently furnished restaurant offers you a chance to experience the delicious Kashmiri food in Bangalore. Sarposh serves you handcrafted and true flavours of Kashmir. We went with the mini traditional Trami. The authentic Kashmiri dishes were delicious. However, the Phirni turned out average compared to the delectable main course and starters. The Kahwa was amazing. The ambiance and the friendly staff really made our visit overall wonderful! This place would be highly recommended!

Met Talib there who was a great host and told us exactly the things we should try here. They showed me exactly what Sarposh means. The ambience and decor syncronizes with Kashmir. This is an authentic place to try the cuisine. Next time you are there and you are a non - vegetarian, please try Tabak Maaz, Rogan Josh and Dani Phol. The meat served was succulent and melts inside your mouth

Wanted to try this place for its Kashmiri cuisine. They have two seating options, one the usual restaurant set-up and another the traditional way. We chose to squat down and relish the meal. The staff were extremely polite and helpful in suggesting the dishes. We tried the traditional trami which included kehwa, a chicken starter, mutton sheekh kabab, girda, mutton rogan josh, zaffran, marchewangan korma, and phirni. The mutton in the korma tasted like a sausage ball, although it was claimed to be a pounded meat ball and their speciality. Priced on the higher side. Overall a good experience.

Whenever I want to go to a restaurant, the first that I look for is a good interior design. I must admit that this place has a very beautiful , modern but at the same time, a traditional look which I find very soothing. Talking about the food which this place serves: Its a mix of various flavours. The combos are the best part because I am able to feel every taste bud of my tongue. The platter of wazwaan served here has an amazing resemblance to the wazwaan which I eat back in Kashmir. I profoundly and strongly recommend you to check this restaurant out along with your family.

I was looking to try out some different cuisine and came across this place. Sarposh offers quiteauthentic Kashmiri cuisine with some nice options in Vegetarian as well. I tried their VegetarianThali. The packaging was pretty nice. All items were properly sealed and packed in containers. The thali consisted of Zafraan Kehwa (signature Kashmiri Tea), 5 different types of curriesserved with Zafraan Batte (saffron flavored rice) and Zafraan Firin (Phirni). The kehwa was sorefreshing, full of nuts and had a good flavor of cardamom. All the curries had their own flavorsand were prepared very well. My favs were Ruwangan Tchaman (Paneer based) and Dum Oulv(Potato bases). To end the meal, I had the phirni which was quite creamy and delicious with theright amount of sweetness. I had a great experience of trying Kashmiri Cuisine from this place.

Sarposh - Restaurant And Tea RoomVisited Sarposh a couple of times before, and it has never disappointed me. Located in the heart of Bangalore, Sarposh serves authentic Kashmiri cuisine. The staff is extremely friendly, and as we visited Sarposh, just after the lockdown, every precautionary measure was adopted. This time I thought about ordering some flavorful Saffron Rice, Waza Palak, Firni and Dodh Babri Byol.We started our meal with Dodh Babri Byol- a cool preparation of milk, nuts and basil seeds that helps open up your taste buds, and improves your appetite. The Aromatic Saffron Rice, which was fragrant and exotic, subtly flavored and is a perfect accompaniment to most of the classic Indian dishes.Waza Palak- The Waza Palak is a dish made equally aromatic and loaded with iron and protein. A complete meal on its own.For dessert, we ordered Firni, which was rich and creamy, with the right amount of cardamom and nuts (almond and pistachio).

Sarposh was in my bucket list for long for their speciality in Kashmiri cuisine. Due to covid it was long due, so decided to order a Mini Traditional Trami. It is a meat lovers paradise. The dishes had lots of gravy items but the packaging was top notch, no chance of leakage. They take care of all the hygiene related concerns. Coming to food, our food journey started with hot Zafran Kehwa which is a signature sweet beverage flavoured richly with saffron, cardamom, almonds. Then in the starters we had Waza Kokur and Mutton Seekh Kebab. Waza Kokur is succulent full leg piece of chicken (or Kokur) infused with spices and served dry. The juicy Mutton Seekh Kebabs go perfect with hari (green) chutney and onion rings. Its absolutely melt-in-mouth and the spices diffuses through every pore of your tastebuds. In the main course, it was Rista which welcomed us with its hand-pounded velvety textured mutton balls cooked in a red saffron and fennel gravy. Then we had the Mutton Rogan Josh, cooked in Kashmiri spices and Cockscomb. The gravy is so appetizing. After that we had Zafraan Batte ( long grained flavoured rice) with Marchewangan Korma, which is a fiery hot korma cooked in rustic spices. Before going to dessert there was Gushtaba as per the Kashmiri Wazwan tradition. In Kashmir they call it Dish of Kings. Mutton balls cooked in a yoghurt and mint based aromatic gravy with authentic spices were super smooth. Finally encountered the Gazri Halwae, where there were loads of nuts / raisins and the texture of the halwa was the best I had in recent times. Definitely, will go there once again. The best Kashmiri Food in town.Food -10/10Packging - 10/10Value for Money -9/10

I have been a bit shy of trying out Kashmir food here in Bangalore, I braved ordering from a couple of famous places and did not enjoy the food much, though I was not sure if they were authentic and I did not like it or otherwise. When your neighbor messages you just after a lunch at Sarposh heavily recommending the meaty flavours, what do you do? Order your dinner from Sarposh – The Restaurant & Tea Room, serving fine Kashmiri cuisine that is as authentic as it can get in namma Bengaluru. In Fact the people who run the place are from Srinagar and source some of the non-perishables from the Kashmir valley, directly. No wonder, they won the Times Food & Nightlife Award in the Kashmir Casual Dining & Delivery category.Coming to the food, I had chosen to order the Meal For One – Mutton Meal, a four course special that is priced at Rs. 649, that lets you pick from four categories of Main Course Gravy, A selection of Kashmiri Rotis or Saffron Rice, a decadent dessert and a traditional drink. Though I would have preferred to add in a starter pick instead of a dessert or drink option. My choice was the Mutton Rogan Josh, Girda Roti, Zafraan Firin and a Leymb Babri Byol.Mutton Rogan Josh – For someone who has always had a rogan josh in buffets, the real deal from a restaurant celebrating Kashmir Cuisine is such a change. Now I absolutely understand why a Mutton Rogan Josh is celebrated as one of the top Indian curries. I loved the flavours of the mutton beautifully rendered into the gravy through the fat, the spices are something very new to my palate and it was fabulous with the fluffy Girda. There was a single large mutton piece that had been tender cooked and beautiful meaty flavours, possibly because of all the slowcooking in its own juices. A top notch classic that is a must try here at Sarposh. I was specifically asked to pick the Rogan Josh and not the Hind Rogan Josh, so I recommend that you follow that too.Girda Roti – This medium sized, fluffy yet hard roti is a celebrated breakfast dish enjoyed with butter, jam or both. Because of the distance, the bread had become cold and hard, nevertheless I loved the fluffy bread that just absorbed the rogan josh beautifully and completed my delicious meal. I was told this is a bread that you dip in your morning chai and make breakfast out of it, I must try that sometime. I wish I had added another roti to my meal.Leymb Babri Byol – Simply a Kashmiri lemonade infused with mint and basil seeds, a refreshing drink, perfect for this summer, though it was way more tangy for my palette.Zafraan Firin – This Saffron infused phirni is something that was a beautiful mix of rice, milk, saffron, with a balanced sense of sweetness and understated richness. I did not get to eat much thought, as wifey devoured most of it.I called the restaurant immediately after placing the order through Zomato to clarify a few things, and I was pleased with the polite and pleasing response, requesting me how to reheat the meal properly, especially the Girda, and loved the care and attention to detail.A highly recommended place for enjoying authentic Kashmiri Cuisine, for me this was just a start and it is going to be more visits to devour the other deliciousness that Sarposh has to offer.

If you have been to an Indian cuisine restaurant, you know that you get those onions marinated in vinegar that are either too fresh that you taste the acidity of the onions or so marinated, the onions no longer have their own taste? Well, this restaurant had them perfect! And the story only gets better. A very hearty and well deserved thanks to Mr. Talib, the host. He helped us get the best order. The platter contained 4 different preparations of the mutton and also a chicken and mutton starter. It had one saffron rice bowl and also a dessert, phirni. It was priced at 2000 and the value in terms of taste and quantity far exceeded that. My favorite was the Gasht Bakth(I am obviously not writing it correctly), a preparation of mutton in yogurt curry, also called the Yakhini. One of the main dishes in a Kashmiri celebration. Just finger licking good, literally. After taking up the suggestion for one bread apiece, we were full. I mean full. We couldnt even think of having one single bite more. The ambience was spot on and we loved it. The fact that the restaurant serves Kashmiri cuisine is apparent the moment you walk in the door. The décor, the tableware everything is reminiscent of Kashmiri vibes. One of the very beautiful restaurants I have been to in Bangalore. A must visit for every foodie in Bangalore.

Ordered some authentic Kashmiri food from Sarposh-Restaurant & Tea room. They source many ingredients all the way from kashmir keeping it as close to the authentic taste as possible.I ordered the following delicacies:Kokur Marchewangan Korma(chicken)Ruwangan Tchaman(paneer)Girda and Lavasa(breads). The food was spicy and mouthwatering and the fat content was very high which is a necessity in kashmir but it was a bit too much for Bangalore condition. Overall I liked the food but would suggest to eat it when hot otherwise the high fat content makes the gravy a heavy or else you could always reheat the food at home. The texture of the gravy was very intense and full of warmth and I was transported back to my days in jammu.

One of the very few places in bangalore to have a Kashmiri cafes. The most famous combination being Girda with Nun Chai (pink tea). This is a sought after evening snack for the kashmiris. Although, the menu here is not extensive, they provide every item with so much attention that its the closest we can get to Kashmir. The ambience is amazing as well. You can play board games if interested. This would best suit small or even big gatherings as there is a lot of place to accommodate many people. However, there isnt much parking space available. So plan accordingly.

An authentic Kashimiri Restaurant in Bangalore. The dishes here are cooked in pure ghee, and the ingredients are brought all the way from Kashmir. It is like a tiny peace of Kashmir is situated in Namma Bengaluru.I had ordered,-- Kashmiri Pulao : Filled with lots and lots of cashews and raisins. Which gives the rice a different sweet flavour. The smell was also great.-- Kokur Shami Kabab : Perfect in taste. Very soft and the kabab gets melted in mouth. They served two pieces of kabab with some chutney in a plate.-- Zarfaan Firin : This is one of the finest dessert I ever had, taste of saffron was felt on every bite but I feel the quantity was a little less. The food was very neatly packed and delivered right on time.Sarposh is a hidden gem in Indiranagar. Tried out authentic Kashmiri food for the first time and loved it!Sarposh (which essentially means the ‘lid of a vessel’) is a restaurant and tea room in Indiranagar that serves up some delectable ‘wazwan’ (a multi-course meal made on special occasions) delicacies, traditionally cooked in copper vessels, native to Kashmir. These dishes are prepared by their native, traditional chefs called ‘waza’ and require years of expertise and experience!Right from the ambience to the decor (which are again works of art by Kashmiri artisans!) to the food presentation and the taste, will transport you to a different world! The owners and staff were extremely hospitable and explained about each and every dish that we tried, right from how it’s made to the ingredients used and how it is traditionally consumed in Kashmir!Started off with the famous Kashmiri Kahwa - Zafraan Kehwa and then moved on to some Shami Kebabs - Kokur Shami Kebab (kokur meaning chicken) which we totally loved as these were basically minced chicken patties with Kashmiri spices!Tried the mushroom (Waza Heddar) and paneer gravy (Ruwangan Chaman) along with their traditional breads like Girda (medium sized round bread with a golden crust) and Lavasa (thin, large unleavened flat bread like Naan) both of which were very distinct in their flavours and taste! Also tried the famous Kokur Rogan Josh and Kashmiri Pulao and you could simply make out the stark difference between the taste we’ve been used to in other places we would have tried these and the actual, authentic one made here!Topped it all off with some Leymb Babri Byol - a cooler containing mint, basil seeds and lime in water and some amazing dessert in the form of Ale Halwe (Kaddu Ka Halwa) sprinkled with almonds! So. Good.If you love trying out different cuisines, have always wanted to try out Kashmiri food or love exploring interesting outlets - this place is a must visit!Trust me on this, if you don’t already dream of a vacation in Kashmir, you will after dining here! ♥️Recommended ✅

Sarposh - Experience Kashmir is an authentic Kashmiri cuisine restaurant by Ms. Azmath. One of the most beautiful restaurants I have visited in the recent past. The food is exquisite and made by ingredients sourced all the way from Kashmir. The food is so good that it touches all your taste buds.Hospitality is extremely good making you feel like royalty. Tasht and naari is used to wash hand before and after. They dont let you get up from your place. The sequence of food is as follows:We started off with- Zafrani kewah (Saffron Kahwah/tea) which had almond, saffron, cardamom and honey.Next we were served the wazwan on traami and covered by Sarposh.- Wazwan is a dish which is served with rice and can be had with 73 different meat based gravy and dry delicacies. We got a half size traami which had following delicacies- Mutton Seekh - minced mutton with Kashmiri spices- Waza chicken - its cooked in gravy but served dry.- Rogan Josh/ Ghosh (which ever way you want to call it) - Made in kashmiri style giving authentic taste with less spice as it should made.- Mirch Korma / Martchwagan Korma - cooked with Kashmiri red chillies and chicken. Was spicy and suited the perfect cold weather (it rained the day we visited)- Gushtaaba - curd based gravy with minced meat ball. This was perfect ending for the wazwan meal. This balanced out the spicy delicacy which preceded this.In dessert we were served one of the best firni I have ever tasted. This place is one of the recommended place in my list for all the food lovers in Bangalore.

She has shared the significance of the food in the kashmir and how it relatesto their day to day life, Also the effort behind getting the ingredients from kashmir to the restaurant. We have started with Zafrani kehwa which was good kashmiri chai to start with. Then it was followed by Babri byol whichis lemonade with basil seeds. Then we moved to the starters, firstly Waza chicken (Waza was named after the chef who prepared the dish). The chicken was softand it was very well minced with spicyness and taste was awesome. it was followed by Mutton shami kebab, mutton was soft and tender andit taste was good too. Then we have moved on to the main course, we were served assorted kashmiri breads, Zafrani rice along with Mutton Rogan ghosh,Chicken Mirchi korma and Mutton Gushtaba. Mutton Rogan ghosh was the show stopper among three gravy items. All the items werein good taste. There is nothing like these dishes...FYI on the house treat menu had : Rice, kokur murg, rogan Josh and Aloo dum, firni. In comparison to chicken vs mutton. I being chicken lover i couldnt resist the Rogan Josh taste...The kashmir lal mirch flavour and taste you can sense in these dishes.I wish they open few more branch in Whitefield or other parts of Bangalore to serve the residents. !!!I was impressed with the fact that owwner took the feedback in postive way rather then replying on the review !.. much much APPRECIATED EFFORT 😀Aloo dum prepration was out of the world it was not like regular...Definitely waiting for occasion to order from them again....BELOW experience was could be a exception....Below is the update on August:Rating of 1 star due to below lack of serviceWell i had heard a lot about kashmiri dishes so did some google and decided to try this restaurant.Well due to covid saftey concern i planned to order for takeway. I faced number of challenge in it.1. Swigy of Zomato doesnt deliver if resturant are 6-7 km away.2 i decided to dunzo it once resturant confirm the food from my own expense.I called up there reception to place the order and to know how to make the payment. They conveyed me to place via website. The website name is very absurd and its doesnt work for me as distance is far. Now i told i will do a take away on my own expense despite that fact the receptionist was talking politely but it felt she is not instrsred to take down the order.Once i stsrted to dictate my order she asked if i can hold so that i can confirm the food item sre avaliable or not ?!!.. i was thking like are u running on mintuante basis grocery bor what ??Well she came and i asked what type of bread are available like lavasa and Gridi.. she said we dont have any bread... As party bis going on Saturday 5 September... It was really disappointed that a resturant in Indiranagar want to do business and they dont have a option for bread despite that fct consumer is really ready to shell out extra charges for delivery.I asked if the bread will be there on Sunday can u confirm with chef. I never heard from them after that. They arr least instrsred in customer service.. my order was not a party order it was nominal for two persons just because wanted to try kashmiri cusones...Thank God I did not go to pick up riding as i had planned this as well.. such a waste customer service !!

The place has a Kashmiri vibe. Good aesthetics you can sit also if you want I think although we didnt do that because we saw that option later and no one told that was available too. We ordered tujj, Rista, Yakhni and Shami kebab. Tujj wasnt like authentic one Ive had on Dal many times it was more like a Chicken kebab honestly. The most disappointing dish was Shami kebab after eating it all my life I know how it should taste and this one was nothing like that. It was like a tikka too crispy on the outside. Yakhni was the only dish I really liked. In rista the mutton is supposed to be softer but in this case it wasnt. It was hard specially on outside. The place is quite expensive also. All these dishes cost us 2k where as in Srinagar it would cost half of that or even less tbh so if youre trying to increase the price please try to mantain the same taste at least would be my advice.

Good place, calm and we could get a table on a Sunday. The traditional bread is good. Lamb and mutton is good. Not a place for chicken, their chicken dishes are not that great. The staf attitude is a little reserved. Probably the only authentic Kashmiri food around. So dont miss if you like it.

Visited this amazing restaurant, on a Saturday night. Entering into this restaurant, gave me a feeling being into a completely different place. I could get the Kashmiri vibes, looking into the beautiful arrangements, paper maches, carvings on the walls and everywhere. The traditional seatings, those beautiful cushions, and hand made embroideries every corner. And coming to the service, people are really awesome here, very friendly and warm hearted. This was my first time trying Kashmiri food, and this place left me wanting more. Tried the Kashmiri Kava, Yakhini, Firni, Seekh Kabab, waza palak, Gushtaba. Every dish was at its own best, not even single dish disappointed me. Loved the overall experience, would surely visit again.

We had ordered food earlier but wanted to experience the dine in.Ambeince is good. Hosts are very friendly and very involved with the guests. Enjoyed the food and the Kashmiri songs being played.Only suggestion is that Mutton Roganjosh was not spicy at all, it would be great if you make it a bit spicy.Even though on the costlier side but I found it worth every penny.

Sarposh – an ode to everything Kashmiri! The cuisine from the paradise on earth, Kashmir in India, reminds me of its simple yet rich and distinct flavours. Though it has been invariably influenced by various cultures over the centuries, the cuisine dates back to 14th century, when people from Samarkand migrated to the valley during the Mongol invasion. And their descendants, known the Wazas or cooks, prepare the traditional Wazwan, a celebratory meal for the special occasions such as weddings. In Bangalore, this cuisine is not easily available, though there are few places who serve the Kashmiri food. Sometimes, many five-star properties do host the Kashmiri food feast. Recently, I visited a brand-new place, called Sarposh - Restaurant and Tea Room, that serves authentic Kashmiri wazwan in a Trami as well as à la carte. They also offer a host of Kashmiri teas and Kehwas served with traditional breads and bakery items.Owned by a Kashmiri living in Bangalore, Azmat Ali Mir, who is very passionate about her cuisine and culture, this place serves authentic Kashmiri Wazwan. According to her, “Sarposh is not just about authentic food, but is an overall experience of community”. Situated on 80 feet road, Indiranagar on the first floor, the ambience has vivid glimpses of Kashmir through its artefacts and décor. For the near authentic experience, we opted for the traditional Kashmiri community style seating. Our hands were washed with a Tasht and Naari in the traditional style. Food was then served on a Trami which is a large copper platter, covered with a lid called the Sarposh. For the starters, we were served mildly spiced minced mutton threaded on a skewer and grilled to perfection, Maaz Seekh Kebab, on the bed of rice. It was followed by Waza Palak te Rista, finely hand pounded, velvety textured meatballs cooked in an aromatic stew made of spinach cooked in traditional Kashmiri spices. The three vegetarian dishes that followed, were the Waza Heddar, a succulent mushroom dish with rich curd based red Kashmiri gravy along with the famed Dum Aalu, a whole baby potatoes, cooked twice in a rich Kashmiri curd based gravy and the Ruwangan Chaman , chunky paneer simmered in a rich tomato gravy -sauce, flavoured with fennel seeds and Kashmiri spices. Then came the chicken dishes, Waza Kokur and Kokur Daniwal Korma. While the first one was a quarter Chicken twice cooked in an aromatic red gravy and served dry, the later was a chicken korma, cooked in a yogurt based white gravy flavoured with generous helpings of fresh coriander. Some of their signature condiments served to us included Pudne Chetyn, a light chutney made out of green chillies and fresh mint and Gande Chetyn, a crowd favourite, spicy thinly sliced onion chutney with green and red chillies, mint and coriander leaves and Vinegar. Leymb Babri Byol, a Basil seeds, lime and mint based cooler was also served during our meal. For the desserts, we had Zafraan Halwe, a toasted semolina cooked in the flavours of saffron, cardamom and clove and their best seller Zafraan Firin, a creamy and delicious pudding made of rice, milk and saffron and garnished with dry fruits and nuts.As no Wazwaan is complete without tea, we too had our share of Zafraan Kehwa, signature Kashmiri hot and sweet beverage flavoured richly with saffron, cardamom and almonds. This place imbibes the true spirit of Kashmir through its food. It was really heartening to know that to maintain the authenticity of the cuisine miles away in the city, not only their kitchen team consists of Wazas from the valley but also their majority of non –ingredients are sourced from Kashmir on regular basis. Indeed, one of the best bets to have an authentic Kashmiri meal in Bangalore.

I was longing for Kashmiri cuisine and came across Sarposh on Zomato today. I ordered Kokur marchewagan korma which was pretty spicy, a korma cooked in fiery hot kashmiri chillies & spices which I ate along Zaffran batte a long grain aromatic white rice flavored with saffron tasted perfect as I ate it with Waza kokur - succulent full leg of chicken that was well cooked in an aromatic red gravy & served dry. They gave Mint chutney & Gande Chetyn (spicy thinly sliced onion chutney to taste it) along with the main course and starter. Overall I really liked the taste, packaging & quantity. Rice and chicken was well cooked! I would love to try their variety of Chais next time for sure!

The food was good, this was the first time I was introduced to kashmiri cuisine. The spices where aromatic. But most importantly the food did not live up to the cost. Still the ambience and hospitality was good. And dont mistake the gosht As mutton its lamb( just for mutton lovers). But the price again is high.

A little bit of Kashmir in Bangalore!! Kashmirs emblematic cuisine Wazwan, sumptuous platter from melt-in-mouth Mutton Seekh kebabs, to spicy rogan josh with Kashmiri Pulao were representing the authenticity of Kashmir. Gustabha, Dish of Kings with Girda were the perfect blend.Beginning of our lunch with Kahwa, special Kashmir tea and ending with phirni successfully complimented our lunch date❤❤Best Kashmiri cuisine I ever had and the best customer service with special mention t Talib, the manager of Sarposh, I ever experienced.

I wanted to visit sarposh coz of its high ratings and also its awards... So finally I booked for my entire family and went. Being a hotelier myself, I was not much impressed with its ambience, its looks great in social media but once I went inside it was dull... Full empty and only one table was there.I ordered, their signature dish 7 seyn trami and was expectation was very high.. But to my disappoinment to start off, cawa was not hot at all to start off.. Then came starters, that too were not as fresh, and it was kind a dry ones. Main course I thought they will serve in platter but they gave in bowls separately. Overall it didnt feel like I had ordered trami... To my surprise, they didnt give bread along with it, but has many gravy itmes in it, so ended up paying extra for breads.. Taste was ok, but very heavy on stomach, I have visited kashmir, and had their cuisine there, there is a lot ofdifference as they call it original kashmiri cuisine and import spices from there.. Cawa what I had in kashmir doesnt match at all.. Overall one time visit place, my kids enjoyed few games playing there. To my surprise, they charge service charges as well keeping the prices on higher side. So I ended up paying 9500 for a 7500 sath seyn trami... Could have dined in a 5 star hotel itself... At last, outside lights were off wen we came out and my sister in law ended in twisting her leg on stairs... Highly rated place, may be by owners friends, group or social media associates...was

The good: The moment you enter you feel that you are in Kashmir. The decor takes the cake and the service is also good. The owners make you feel comfortable and are very pleasant to interact with. They have a very thought after menu which caters to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Some of the dishes were very goodThe bad: I feel its quite expensive and the value for money is not realized. The mutton in the rogansjosh could have been softer and less chewy.

As the name itself suggests that delicacies arent open. They are covered sacredly. Since food is a blessing in itself from the Almighty(Annpurna Mata). It must remain covered which is spiritual as well as scientific.Though havent been to this place so far but would love to be there as and when I get the opportunity.Pics speak for themselves. Must be Deliciously Great.God bless . Best of Luck👌

Worst first experience ever!!!To begin with the order came 10 -15 minutes late; even though it was late I didnt receive any proactive updates on the delayed order. I literally had to ring the incognizant store staff on my own informing them about the delay.Furthermore, adding to my frustration was the Manager (whoever rung me post delivery), he had the audacity to ask me to get used to the idea of stretch time next time onwards, instead of fixing their App (whatever tool was helping me track the order). I wouldve still been okay with all the unpleasantness as long as the food delivered was of premium quality (as its priced relatively upmarket). However, to my dismay, it went from bad to worse. Godawful Methi Mazz Ive ever tasted in my entire life; instead of Methi Mazz they should name it Teele Sraan (oil bath). I could hardly find any Meeth in it; I almost chundered in my mouth. Same thing goes for Rogan Josh & Marcewangan Korme, it was all loaded with excessive oil.Bottomline, appalling customer service and dreadful quality of food = One less customer.

After visiting Kashmir couple of times in the past and trying their traditional cuisines, I always wanted to see something similar in Bangalore and then i was referred to Sarposh by a friend. The whole ambience of the restaurant is done really beautifully. Now talking about the food having a great prior experience with Kashmiri Wazwan, I placed an order for Kokur Shami Kebab and Tabak Maaz as starters, Rogan Josh and Rista as mains which is served with traditional rice. The Tabak Maaz bought back the memories as it was exactly the same in fact a lot better that what I ate in Kashmir, it was crisp well made and the presentation was amazing. Same is with Kokur Shami Kebab, it literally melts in your mouth.Moving on to mains, I recommend you to definately try this. The Rogan Josh with Kashmiri spices was delicious and so was the Rista.Overall I had a great experience with this restaurant and even the staff are so welcoming who would remind you of the real hospitality of Kashmir. Well done to the owner for coming up with something so real. Now I know where to go when I crave for authentic Kashmiri food.
