Encountered this restaurant a few days ago for dinner.Started with their complementary in house chips and dip platter. Which was quite good to start with.We ordered a chilled lassi which much to my surprise was very thick in consistency and topped with dry fruits and rose petals. Totally loved it!In mains we ordered their specialty i.e shinwari kadai chicken with ulta paratha and naan. The chicken gravy was delectable! Also, ordered dal makhani which tasted a bit like dal bukhara. So creamy and thick in consistency. In dessert we tried husn e ara, resembled a bit like shahi tukda with a pineapple filling.Overall I can say it was a five star restaurant food experience on a budget.

After seeing their Ads so many times in Instagram, finally visited this place on a Saturday afternoon. Located in the second floor along 80ft road. There were only 2 patrons present when we visited and we got a seat of our choice. The restaurant is on the theme of Afghan/Pashtun cuisine, as suggested by the restaurant name. We ordered the following:Murgh Jahangiri Shorba; Non-Veg Platter; Chicken Dum Biryani. The platter would contain fish, prawn, chicken and mutton, however, we requested to replace the fish and mutton with two other types of chicken Tikkas. Each type of tikka has 2 pieces. The biriyani portion is sufficient for 2 people and has 4 pieces of juicy masala infused chicken. For beverages, we ordered Nariyal Shikanjvi and aam ka panna. The service was really quick with friendly staff and all the items were very well cooked. They also gave their in house prepared papad with mayo like dip which was amazing taste. To end onna sweet note, Samak ke Chawal ki Phirni was served, on the house. They also have in-house offer of unlimited kebabs and biryani, which is not present on menu. Theres also thalis available - Veg, Chicken and Mutton, on weekdays.Ambience is also good with the preparation in the kitchen separated by a glass wall. Nice music is also played.Although the price is slightly on the higher side, the taste is so good that you will be content with the taste and experience. With Zomato Pro, you get 25% off on the final bill.

When we entered we were wondering if we were in the right place because there was nobody except the greeter who turned out to be our server later. The kitchen which is completely visible had lot of people working inside. We started with Aam Panna and Nariyal Shikanji. Home made Nachos with non-mayonese dip were served on the house. The dip needs a special mention and we got one more bowl later. We moved to a non-veg kebab platter which comes with 8 pieces of 4 type of kebabs. We changed the Chapli Kebab for Chicken Behari, ordering a separate plate of Chapli Kebab.By this time the other tables were getting occupied.Chapli Kebab is fantastic and we wanted more of the jeengha. We asked for the signature dishes and then the rabit came out of the hat. Murgh Zaffrani Tikka, Dahi Ke Kebab and Hari Mich ke Jeenghe et all were extraordinary. Followed by the Rogan-e-Nishat curry and Ulta Tawa Paratha were just out of the world. Its just rightly cooked meat with the flavour of the protein intact, spices and the cooking medium appropriately used so it never becomes heavy for your digestive system. The partha melts in your mouth and the taste of the dishes explodes inside as soon as you start your jaw movement. We wished if the nalli had a little crack so that we could open it to go down to the end of bone looking for more of the marrow.By now all the tables were occupied and the place has transformed to a very busy restaurant as it would be in a Sunday afternoon. We ordered for the bread pudding desert, Husn-e-Ara. Not too sweet, a hint of pineapple and delectable reduction of milk in pistachio and other dry fruits. Ideal way to give a happy ending to your palate.I wont say that the pricing is too expensive, comparable to any of the branded restaurants. We will definitely revisit as and when we get an opportunity. Mr. Tyagi was traveling hence we could not meet him, hope we will be able to do that in our next visit.

Great food! First of all thanks to the staff that even though we arrived pretty late in the night, they served us without hesitation.Food was delicious but it wasnt much spicy. We questioned the receptionist about the same and he gave us a logically correct explanation that the food is made as per the cooking style of the northern border regions (e.g. peshawar). So the food is generally less spicy. But apart from that, food was delicious and the customer service was much better than expected, will surely visit again to try the rest of the dishes

There are many fables and legends which adorn the beautiful city of Bangalore. One such legend is the man himself, Michelin Star Chef Sanjay Tyagi. We had heard loads of good things about his culinary prowess before getting a chance to visit Northwest, Kebab & Curryhouse. The restaurant is located right in the heart of Bangalore- Koramangala. After being warmly welcomed by the staff, we got all set for the lip smacking meal that awaited us.To set the ball rolling, we ordered Aam ka Panna and Nimboo Soda. Both drinks were refreshing and lightened up our senses. The staff suggested us to order Veg and Non Veg Kebab Platters. We took their suggestion and they didnt disappoint at all. The Chapli Kebab and Chicken Behari were well cooked and succulent. The Dahi Kebabs had a melt in mouth texture which added to the magical chorus of starters on our plate. We also tried Bhuttey ke Kebab, Tandoori Broccoli and Subz Mewe ki Kakori, all of which were absolutely delectable. We were in awe over the taste of our magical starters after which our main course arrived at our table. Nargisi Qofta, Nihari Gosht and Paneer Kadhai were next in store for us. They were served with Northwest, Kebab & Curryhouses signature Dal Makhni. Ulta Tawa Parantha and Butter Naan were opted by us in the breads. The Nargisi Qofta was a unique Mutton based rendition. It had a mutton shell and an egg based centre. The gravy was creamy and complemented by authentic Lucknowi spices. The Nihari Gosht was soft and chewy. The Ulta Tawa Parantha was going very well with it.Infact, it wasnt only Non Vegetarian, we were delighted with Vegetarian delicacies as well. Paneer Kadhai stole the show. Adhering to its name, it was served in a Kadhai itself. The paneer was oozing with juices of the gravy and was very inviting. The Butter Naan went hand in hand with the Paneer. After relishing this soulful meal, we ended it with a Samak ke Chawal ki Firni. It was the perfect sweet note to end our experience on.All in all, the ambience of the place added a near perfect grace to it. Do visit this place for a wholesome Foodie experience! It would instill your taste buds with a Nawabi pleasure for sure!

Picturesque ambiance, delectable food and warm service is what Northwest Kebab and Curry is.This place is definitely should be out there, the food is top notch and even though the space is minimal yet very pretty and the service is quick. My husband and I tried Behari chicken, Chapli kebab, teekhi macchli and paneer for starters and the kebabs taste delicious and juicy. You guys should definitely try their own take of Nachos and its definitely my favorite too, goes well with the dip. Btw their Aam Panna is so refreshing good.In Main course, we just had Murgh Methi malai and Paneer lababdar with assorted breads, no complaints at all, taste is upto the mark.Ending our lunch with some phirni, very content with the food and service.I just wish and hope the best for this place. Will be back for more.

The North West Frontier Cuisine is clearly defined by a preparation that is very simplistic, involving meat and vegetables, sparsely marinated and slow cooked in a tandoor. It is almost an unwritten rule that the spices do not overpower the flavor of the meat or vegetable, instead its existence is to preserve the original flavor of the protein, if not only compliment or enhance and never alter it. Yellow Chili powder, Kashmiri red chili, Dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi), Mace powder (javithri), a milder Indian all spice powder or Garam Masala, Cardamom, and Cumin. On a recent invite to Northwest Kebab & Curry House, located in Koramangala, I got to sample some of the beautifully curated Northwest Frontier cuisine from their wide menu hailing to celebrate the food from that region. Chef Sanjay Tyagi is the celebrity chef behind this brand and I happened to meet him at the restaurant and sampled some of his personal recommendations. On a warm Bangalore afternoon, I started off my Northwest Frontier journey with a traditional shikanjvi, the quintessential Indian lemonade with a twist. The version here was infused with tender coconut water with a serving of coconut malai afloat. It was a perfect start and kept me company throughout the fabulous meal that followed. While I waited with a bowl of house made chips and a decadent yogurt dip, the appetizer platter with a plethora of the popular selection by Chef Sanjay Tyagi, arrived. It was a beautiful platter with a central salad on a papad bowl with four top selections that Chef Sanjay Tyagi personally recommended.- Paneer Parathdaar – superbly cooked tandoori paneer with a thin genius-layer of sun dried tomato confit, simply outstanding- Dahi Ke Kebab - A beautiful yogurt patty with a tinge of saffron & pistachio with a superb raw papaya relish, in fact the relish went beautifully with the kebab that I asked for an extra portion - Saundhe Aloo - A beautifully roasted whole baby potatoes with a wonderfully layered smokiness with yellow chilies & cloves- Mewe Aur Subz Ki Kakori – a beautifully seasoned and a well-balanced kakori kebab, another stellar creation by Chef Sanjay TyagiAs in most of the Northwest Frontier cuisine, the number of ingredients used in this Pashtun recipe is very narrow, but the resulting flavor profile is something that is extremely unique. The dish is primarily made with your choice of meat or in this case, paneer, tomatoes, green chilies, black pepper, ginger, and coarsely crushed cumin. This Signature Shinwari Kadhai was an absolutely fabulous dish. Chef @sanjaytyagi had achieved a perfect balance of sourness and sweetness from the tomato, with the occasional green chili hit, and the crushed cumin and ginger flavors beautifully trying to take over your palate. A top notch dish that was wonderfully paired with ulte tawa parantha. For the love of heat in my food, I personally preferred it with the flaky lachha parantha with an overload of chili flakes, also served here at Northwest Kebab & Curry House. Some of the other mains that I tried were equally fabulous, starting with theDal Makhani - A Punjabi cousin of the Dal Bukhara, the Dal Makhani does not use the tomatoes as a base and hence the absence of a tangy aftertaste. It is deliciously creamy with a melt in your mouth texture due to the generous amount of butter and fresh dairy cream.Panch Saag – As the name suggests, this dish is made with five different types of greens including the palak, but the overall dish was true to celebrating the original flavor rather than adding anything that will overthrow the earthy greens. That mild garlic hit and maybe a tinge of ginger is something that underplayed to make this dish a raving success.Aloo Ki Katli – This potato dish was superb and nothing can get more homely than this, beautifully seasoned, cooked to perfection to ensure that the potatoes are firm, yet cooked and not mushy. The flavor profiles were simple yet unique.

@northwestkebabcurryhouse Located in Koramangala, Bengaluru, this place is inspired by the flavours and cooking styles of the North Western regions of India and has a good ambiance & classic decor. We tried:-🔸Nachos🔸Nariyal shikanji🔸Mewe Aur Subz ki Kakori🔸Tandoori Broccoli🔸Paneer Parathdaar🔸Bhuttey ke kababNariyal Shikanji was a perfect refresher to beat the heat, It is basically tender coconut flesh and water with lemon juice .Then we had Mewe Aur Subz ki Kakori, this is some extraordinary cuisine, it is made from roasted vegetables and dry fruits. Then we also tried Tandoori Broccoli, the taste so perfect and was loaded with cheese.Following that we had Paneer Parathdaar, It was two layer paneer with stuffed tomato confit. This Paneer was completely melt in mouth. Then we had Bhuttey ke kabab, it was a babycorn which was cooked in tandoor and was simply amazing..After that we had the main course,We tried Paneer Kadhai, Banjan Borani and Dal Makhani along with Ulta Tawa Paratha and Laccha parantha.Paneer Kadhai was a Pashtun delicacy, which was cooked in a small kadhai and served straight in that hot kadhai placed on a wooden base. It has perfect north indian flavours in it.Banjan Borani is completely new for me. It is Grilled eggplant which is dipped in a mint and garlic yoghurt sauce. Dal Makhani was enriched with the rich flavour of cream and was perfect. At the end we had Husn-e-ara, it is pudding made on bread as a base with some pineapple in between and dipped in rabri.Meal had a perfect end with Husn-e-era.Believe me, the food over here is indeed great and certainly best with respect to quality & taste. This place is suitable to go with friends and family without thinking much.I would certainly recommend this place!

Recently we visited Northwest kebab & curryhouse located in kormangala. This place has great ambience and it serves the best northwest food.We started of with nariyal shikanji which is basically shikanji with some tender coconut in it. Then we tried a non veg platter which was just amazing. They even have this amazing housemade nachos which was very crispy. Then if we talk about main course we tried paneer kadhai, nargisi kofta and dal makhani with some ulta tawa paratha. Kadhai paneer was served straight in a hot kadai placed in wooden base which kept it hot and in every bite of it you could taste all of its flavours. Nargisi kofta was something different which we tasted that day. It is an another rich exotic mughlai recipe, which is a combination dish of mutton keema and boiled eggs. Dal makhani was creamy and tasty.Coming to dessert we had Husn-E-Ara. Bread and pineapple pudding layered with nuts and thickened evaporated milk.It was amazing visiting this place. Would highly recommend this place if you really want to have yummy and delicious north west food.

Had a wonderful dinner experience. Started with the Saunde aloo, Baby potatoes with Fennel infusion grilled to perfection. main course was Paneer Shinwari Karahi with Butter naan. The paneer Shinwari karahi was simple rustic and taste great with flavors of tomato ginger, green chilly and black pepper. The Naan bread was nice and thick after a long time in Bangalore. We tried the Nizami Tarkari Biriyani an pilaf with medley of vegetables mildly spiced, it was served with a Palin raitha and brista. Finished our meal with a Husna-e-Ara, a fried bread and pineapple dessert finished off with mildly sweetened rabadi and nuts. All in all a very fine meal with very good service.

A cosy restaurant serving Northwest Frontier cuisine. Have a big glassed kitchen wherein you can see your food being prepared. Fast service and tasty dishes. We tried their veg and non veg starters, parathas and currys for the main course along with biriyani.. Every dish was very good, except biriyani which was ok.( Have had better biriyani elsewhere)Since it is on the 80ft road in Koramangala- parking will be an issue and no valet parking is available. All together a good experience. Cost wise little on the higher side.

‘Northwest Kebabs and Curry House’, brings to the forefront, the ‘Shinwari’ cuisine from the Northwest Frontier of the Indian sub continent. The delicious ‘shinwari’ cuisine uses the same spices as the Indian cuisine yet tastes pleasantly different. We had a lot of food and loved everything. ‘Signature Shinwari Kadhai’ mutton with the marinated meat cooked to perfection. There are vegetarian variants fo this curry available as well. This dish is the show stopper here! The starters such a ‘Mutton Behari’ and ‘Dahi Kebabs’, the flavours are bang on. For mutton lovers especially, this diner has an amazing selection of dishes. Each dish posseses distinct flavours that will keep you wanting for more. But not just mutton, we even found some amazing Chicken delicacies such as the perfectly grilled ‘Chargha Murgh’ and the completely melt in the mouth ‘Chicken Haleem’. Also the ‘Zafrani Pulao’ is not to be missed at all. Do try the ‘cheese naan’ if you happen to be a cheese lover. For dessert Definitely try the ‘Sheer Khurma’ which will be the perfect finale to your dining experience. You can even ty the signature ‘Husn E Ara’ if you like ‘shaahi toast’. It’s a nice twist to the bread dessert. ‘Samak ke chawal phirni’ is also a milk based dessert that is rarely served in restaurants. The location of the restaurant is pretty central and street parking is available.Meal for two shall cost INR 1250 onwardsHighly recommend!

Visited this amazing place recently. I must say the food is really amazing, from presentation to cutlery from taste to hospitality its remarkable. I loved their food and omg dont forget to try their pineapple rabri pudding and Kashmiri kahwa tea. Absolutely loved it. Kudos to their entire management. Loved the service.
