Lost my pet recently. I had coordinated for her cremation through a pet hospital and they had got the cremation arranged here. We had also requested for her ashes. That too was arranged.Firstly some points that all other reviews are talking about :-Efficient and kind staff, clean surroundings, well maintained, reasonable prices.Great work BBMP!Now, the STAND OUT stuff:-Right next to the animal cremation facility, is the human one (where we went first, by mistake). It was shabbily kept, smelly, puja stuff all around....!!! Dont know if I was glad that my pet had a great facility, or worried about what awaits us humans!?!On a spiritual / karmic level, perhaps we are getting what each of us deserve???Nevertheless, I was glad that my pet was cremated here. Once again, good job BBMP.

We had been here to cremate our pet few days back and we didnt know anything about the rituals and stuffs however the management and staffs were very helpful in terms of providing a bamboo structure and they also did the required rituals and also assisted us as in what has to be done next .For the cremation they would charge you depending on the pet .And for the bamboo structure they would charge 500rs and if you want the ashes to be collected in a earthen wear 100rs extra would be charged.

Today we lost our FD family member from my home . We called him Tommy and who served us for more then 17 year. I search this place from Google and call the contact person. He was good and he told us to come. Once we went there. Every thing went well and thanks for all staff.In case if you want save money. Take bamboo before going there to support your loved one body.We are going to miss you Tommy ❤️.

Im truly happy with this place... The people here are very kind ... i lost my best buddy .. brother of my life ... Puffy .. who was 13 yrs old and passed away naturally at home at midnight... i was heartbroken n didnt know wat to do ... then got to know about this place in google search ... saw others reviews and was convinced n decided this might be the best place for my pawfriend to say final goodbye to the best dog ever... he was a member of our family and m truly happy that i did all the rituals and gave him a good sendoff .. i recommend this place to all pet lovers ... it is much more respectful and dignified place... We had a good experience when we went for the cremation of a street dog for which we had given shelter in our house. The staff members who are maintaining this place were very courtioues to us and we could finish the job very quickly without any hassles . I would recommend to all the people who are maintaing their pets to use this facility when your pets die. I also request the BBMP Authorities to open such facilities across Bangalore where ever possible.The cost of cremation is very nominal, the private funeral parties are charging very heavily ranging from 3.5k to 5.5 k.

Finally it is time to say good bye to one of my family member pet Bruno. Really worried of how to complete the final rituals, finally found good place to do all the final rituals of my love pet. Really appreciate the good work from BBMP.

Our Pet Dog Rocky who was with us for 13 years passed away this morning. With great sadness we were parting company from our Loved pet and on reaching the cremetorium Mr.Penchaih from BBMP a very considerate human being spike with compassion and soothing words and said that the Pet shall have a peaceful journey. The staff there were very kind and after performing a small POOJA and lighting camphor our dear pet was to undergo his last journey. Tour Pet was made to rest on the wooden Chatta and it was put on to the incernator. We saw the pure of flames for the last time and after praying for his soul to be on peace we offered our prayers.The staff ate really nice and are it easy for all of us in our Family present there.I thank the BBMP for this great facility on ensuring that Pets and loved ones are the same always and to be treated like that.I request BBMP to open this Faculty In North East and West of Bangalore on order to facilitate the so that lot more people could use this facility and give their pets a safe journey.

I am writing this just after having cremated my guinea pig. In all the pain of loss, the only thing I can feel content about right now is my decision to come all the way to this place (Over 24 km away) for giving my fur baby a proper cremation. This place and every individual working here are angelic. They gave my baby such respectful and proper cremation... Seldom people give same respect to other animals as to humans. These people are so kind, empathetic not only to the people bringing in their pet babies but also to those fur babies..in fact it felt they valued him as much as i did. Thank you so much for giving my baby such respectful departure from this world. May god bless you all.

State of the art electric crematorium. Staff were cordial. Fees are displayed in the office. But they took extra money for the logs.

Its been my strife and endeavour as an animal rights activist to get BBMP to create this place many years back 👍🏽I am totally proud of it..good place.

Nice service run by a couple of nice staff. You can drive a car inside. They perform some small last rites before sending the animal in for cremation. Charges vary based on the size of the animal, and they charge a fee for the supporting wooden structure on which to place the animal (I think they take only cash). Its a good way to send off a beloved pet. They are open on Sundays too. The phone number listed on maps works.

We visited this place to Cremate our pet dog. Really took us by surprise to see such a neat place and very friendly staff who assisted and fulfilled all the requirements for the cremation.A nominal fees of ₹300/- with receipt is charged for dogs and ₹500/- for the mandatory bamboo bed/support that is provided by the staff. Rates for cremation are displayed and vary depending on the category of pets.I just glanced the register and found that even birds are brought here and cremated.... ( A big salute to those who have done this ).One can bring along the no longer required beds, towels etc used for your pets and dump it here, where the staff will dispose it off accordingly.Grieved but totally satisfied that we could give our loving pet a good ritual.Thanks to BBMP, staff and support team for this Good Cremation facility for animals.

This place is great for all deceased pet cremations. They open promptly at 7. The staff are courteous and helpful. They also perform a mini funeral last rite for your pet before cremation. Their service is much needed and a consolation for anyone whos lost a beloved pet and want to give it a proper sendoff.

We had to cremate our laborador of 9 years and were looking for a place and chanced upon this facility at Bangalore near kamakshi palya and enqueried over phone , the staff were extremely understanding and courteous and guided us for the entire process .Must say though it is government set up , the procedure were top class. You just need to pay a nominal fees and the entire process is taken care . For all the animal lovers who are looking for decent funeral for your loved pets this place really stands out.

My elder brother and I had visited this place on Aug 01, 2020 on the death of our loving dog - Pinky (16 years and 2 months). The facility charged us INR 300 for our dogs last rites and provide a receipt for it. If you carry along with you the required wood/bamboo there wouldnt be an additional charge, else they charge an additional INR 500 but dont provide a receipt for the same. We drove in and parked our car just outside the crematorium.. ample parking space available too. Overall a decent facility.

We lost our furry baby Casper, Japanese Spitz...of 19 years & 2 months.. as suggested by the doctors at Cessna Vet hospital we performed his last rites here on 16 January 2020. Mr Rao and his team .. very kind and supportive. Thank you BBMP for this thoughtful initiative.

Very well-maintained, professional facility with kind and helpful people running it. We were attended to with empathy from the time we got there with our dog, to the time we left without him. Very grateful that we were able to give him a dignified and peaceful cremation. Very responsive staff. We called in advance and didnt have to wait. The costs were transparent - no extra charges, and we were given a bill. Very impressed by the service overall. Efficient and sensitive, like all end-of-life services ought to be.

I lost my furry daughter today (21 Feb 2020) and after much deliberation between Whispering Kennels Burial grounds and this BBMP Electric Crematorium I finally decided to bring her here for her last outing.I spoke to them over the phone and took her over. Some nice people who were compassionate enough. While I was doing the paperwork they had already made a small Bamboo Raft structure and for a fee did a bit of last rites ritual as well with a promise to give me the Ashes the very next day in a earthenware Pot. (For an extra few of course)It’s okay if you don’t know Kanada language. I’m just glad that such a thoughtful service exists and that people out here were kind enough.

This is one of the best services offered by the Government of Karnataka. The staff people are polite and very professional they helped us to send our beloved pet chinu (adult dog) last farewell in a good manner. I would recommend pet lovers to visit this place to complete their last farewell.They provide ashes and charge 100rs only for the pot. We have noticed that even people come from different states to finish the ritual rights.

At a very unfortunate situation, I had to visit this place, to cremate my 11 year old Lab, Dollar.. The place is calm and composed. To be very frank, it didn’t seem like a crematorium from outside. Lush green ambience. Very cleanly maintained, very reasonable amount charged. Two Extremely polite gentlemen were at the office, and they made a pyre for the dog, in no time. They helped us then bid a decent farewell to our dog. They helped us in offering some flowers, clean water, liting incense sticks and finally some camphor.In case you are to visit here to bid adieu to your beloved pet, (I pray none of you should), be assured of a dignified funeral, for it!

Great people who run this place. The service is respectful and touching. Ashes are carefully put in a pot and numbered for you to take away if you like the next day.

We cremated our dog, they charged Rs.300 for which they offered a receipt too.However, for the Bamboo ramp they charged Rs.500 instead of Rs.150 (for which we did NOT receive a receipt) as mentioned on the website. This needs to be rectified, if not, proper information needs to be provided on the website.Other than that, were really grateful for the facility that is being provided.

My furry friend Nano passed away in 3rd June, 2020. We went to this center the next day to cremate him. I was really surprised and glad with the way they did the rituals. They allowed me some time to spent last few minutes with Nano. They themselves did puja. I took Nanos blankets and some flowers and they allowed me to lay Nano with all these. Very compassionate people. They assured me that the ashes with the kept separately and then 2days later I took Nano in a different form now from there. I am very glad that Bangalore has this facility.

My dog was laid to rest at this crematorium. The facility is clean. The process is quick. The staff are kind and provided a respectful last rites to my pet.

We had to say goodbye to our 4 1/2 year old golden retriever Kenzo, our child yesterday. We took him to the Animal crematorium managed by BBMP upon the recommendation by one of our friends. We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the place and the pleasing attitude of the staff. The place is impeccably clean and neat and the staff is unbelievably helpful. It was a touching farewell when they they Performed a small Pooja with haldi, kumkum and flowers. With their help we bid adieu to our precious fellow with dignity that he deserved. A well run place which eases the transition(a bit) for a family who has lost a loved one. A minimal govt. fee for the process and person on stand-by builds an optional pyre for a fee.Appreciate the people who have thought of this and have been running this place. A whole hearted support for them in their expanding endevaours across the city.

Well maintained, neat and clean. Affordable too. Here you can bid final goodbye to your beloved pets. They even cremate large animals like Horses.

Mr. Dasaratha Rao & his assistant are very prompt and care for the relatives of the pet. They have maintained the premises well. They are very soft spoken and need to be applauded.

Very patient and cooperative staff with a very good facility for cremation of pet or stray animals. They charge around 800-1000 for a pet like dog, cat or a rabbit and around 2000 for bigger ones like cows and horses. 800 is inclusive of cremation and the bamboo used to carry the corpse. Very supportive staff and 2 cute pomemranians that some owner ditched is being looked after by the official there.

The process was rapid and silent. There was no more extra words needed. The two men was fast and professional at the work. I think they knew that I wouldnt even be able to see the process,they did not ask me wether i will see my pet for the last moment. They knew how to react and that made me calm down and then i could bid farewell. Really good place and reasonable price.

Very nice people here, they understand the value of your pet. The cost is 300rs only for cremation. 500 for the wooden plank. And a bit more if you want to take the ashes home. You can wait here for about an hour and they will hand you the ashes. RIP Ginger.

18-04-2018 our family lost a member who was with us for 15.5 years. My brother from other mother, Chintu. This place is well maintained and helped me bid him final good bye respectfully. The Clerk was also very responsive. Thanks to BBMP for maintaining this facility.Fees:Bamboo to carry till crematorium - 500BBMP Fees - 300 (varies based on animal)They cremate almost all pets from love birds, parrot, pigeon to cat, dog to horses,cow.They also provide ash if you want and tell them prior the process.Miss you Chintu, I have managed to fulfill my final duties towards you in a better place than backyard or garden.

Really happy that there is such a lovely place to cremate our pets. The place is very clean. The caretaker is very helpful and sensitive. Simply thankful to the officials for this gift to animal lovers.

Been here multiple times as I am a non-corporate rescuer.The actual charge for a deceased dog is 300. But the bamboo sticks used for electrocuting does not go to the records without a receipt. No one knows if that bamboo charge is included in the Rs.300 receipted bill or these guys sharing. Plus some monetary consideration for the operator and the undertaker.But then again, it is indeed one among the deserved souls peace is what we look for so these charges of money will not be a point of debate while vet hospitals charge triple time the money these guys charge a 1/3rd of it. Ambulance service into the city is still in progress of implementation as per the office.Timings are from 7 AM to 6 PM 365 (366) days a year.

We lost our Beagle to cancer and cremated him here today.Absolutely fantastic service & staff. Very clean ( including the toilets/restrooms).Steps- Register in the office- The staff will pick up your pet from your vehicle.- Set up on a bamboo base ( they arrange it) & perform a short Pooja paying their respects & then the cremation process is mechanised.- Pay ₹300 ( fees with receipt) & ₹500 for the bamboo base. Tips are expected but given the dedication & genuinely helpful nature of the staff - you would not hesitate to be generous.- Ashes ( if needed) can be collected the next day for an additional fee ( very reasonable)A good feeling that we could bid our boy a respectable farewell to an otherwise sad day for us.

My pet died at their closing hours. I called them and they assured that theyll stay open until I come there. Not too costly either.

The facility has been renovated as of September 2017. The facility is clean, staff efficient and courteous, and the process quick and sensitive. Highly recommended.

We can bid a good final farewell to our beloved pet peacefully without having any concerns about what happens to their body after we leave the place which most of us are very concerned about.The staffs are very kind, good and would help by extending their arms to ensure that the departed soul would rest in peace. Really appreciate Mr. Penchallia and his two associates who maintain this crematorium for a noble cause. They even do a small ritual before we bit the final farewell to our beloved, which gives us so much comfort that even the departed soul would feel good if it happens to see from the place it would have gone to as they treat these loving beings with a human touch.Last but need to mention this, they do not expect anything apart from the government fixed charges which says these people are noble people for the noble cause.Hope this helps some other pet owner!Thank you Rocku for being with us all this while, we really miss you, you are the best. Our beloved family member Sweety passed away yesterday 8/4/18. She was with us from 10yers because of unhealthy. We tried a lot to save her but god as written her fate till yesterday. Everyone as to leave this life one r the other day she went so early. At our home eeveryone were worried about her cremation, but finally we came to know this place. Really hats off to the BBMP team for giving such a place for our beloved ones. All kind of facilities u will get here. The person who responded for us is a good human really thankful to him. My only suggestion is if government open Animal Electric Crematorium in all the BBMP limits. It will become very helpfull and all the pet owners can stay peace of mind. Said goodbye to my beloved dachshund Bholu at this crematorium today. The process was smooth and quick. The person incharge helped prepare the bamboo structure and the body was put into the incirenator within 10 mins. Paper work and money exchange was done after the process was over, which was a pleasant surprise as well. The ashes can be collected on next working day and will be retained for 12 days only. Goodbye Bholu, you had a good life ! Will miss you.

Though not a place for someone to be at, but thats life and its good to be prepared. Highly recommended for their professional approach though its a Govt run place. The person incharge was very empathetic from the time we called him to enquire about the place to cremate our boy. He was very polite and cordial. Once at the place, its a very simple process and the entire ritual was over in 30 mins max and we also have the option of collecting the ashes anytime within 30 days. Its great to see one dedicated for animals and i believe there are only two in the entire country. If only we can have more. For all the emotional trauma we went through with the passing away of our dear child, it was a pleasant end to the ordeal. Highly recommend the place.
