The place is downright dirty and unhygienic. There were flies everywhere. The sever Pramod was a seriously disinterested person. Serves the Raita and the raw onions / lemon almost 30 mts before the Biryani. Till then the flies had made the most of the Raita. Did not dare to even touch either the Raita or the onions. The Biryani was the only bright spot. These guys are not aware of Rezzala at all. Served some dish from some other planet. They do not understand what Kosha means as they served the dish with huge amounts of gravy. It was a total letdown after having Rezzala and Kosha Mansho at Arsalan Kolkata. For everything Corona was the excuse given. Seriously the mangement needs have a rethink whether they want to continue like this.
Place is very unhygienic.Coming to food quality biriyani, paratha and chicken rezala was horrible enough to spoil our nabami dinner.Paratha was too much oily like oil was dripping from it,rezala gravy was just like running water ,and biriyani what we had 2 years back is no where similar at all.
The hunt for kolkata style biriyani brings a lot of Bengalis in Bangalore to this place. Even in the dearth of availability of Kolkata style biriyani I would suggest to skip this place. The biriyani tastes like those sub 100rs biriyani that you get in the streets of Kolkata but you will be charged Arsalan rates.
Mutton biriyani is too good. But the service could have been better
Chanced upon this place during a Durga Puja visit to Koramangala pandal , approached this place assuming it is the well known Arsalan biryani franchisee of Kolkata . Was thoroughly disappointed with the hygiene , decor and quality of food served . Even the mineral water served was of some dubious brand which none of us had heard off .. only positive is the qty of food (one biryani ordered easily served two ) and price which was reasonable . The level of service was poor and the decor is from the 80’s . Best to avoid
Lower than expectations. Not got that real taste of Kolkata biriyani. Also disappointed on the mutton.
If you want to have biriyani with aaloo & potato then you can visit here. For sure you r gonna like it which is less oily & with reasonable price.
Biriyani and Khuska were fabulous
Ambience not so great .... Food is OK.
The food is good specially the Bengali style biriyani.
Located in Kormangala, offers good quality food. Quantity is more than enough.
Getting to have decent Kolkata biryani is a task in itself. Lazeez is a sore disappointment. So after checking out the reviews we went to Aalishan.Ordered chicken tandoori and chicken biryani for me and hubstar had mutton biryani. The tandoori was juicy and soft. The biryani was great. Aloo cooked to perfection. Portion size too is a lot for one person.Definitely going back here again whenever the craving for Kolkata style biryani kicks in.
Must visit for folks missing the Kolkata style biryani!
Had worst experience in this hotel. The front desk is on the ground floor but dine-in space is on 2nd floor.Ordered Chicken tandoori and got a half cooked chicken pieces. The pieces were hot only on the outside and were over boiled long before we ordered it I suppose. When asked about it, the attender told tandoori comes that way there.Worst food I ever had anywhere in India. We were denied any deductions on the bill. I will never go to this hotel again and nor recommend to anyone!
This 5 star is for Biriyani... because I havent tried other dishes yet...if you are a lover of kolkata special biriyani then must try it...taste of the biriyani is just awesome...
Not so much variety of Bengali food...biriyani is good
The best version of Kolkata style biriyani that you can get in Bangalore is here. If you love potato in biriyani , this is your place to be!Also Malai Kabab is really good here. Must try!!This place is pure love for all biriyani lovers ( Kolkata style)!
Awesome biryani in all over bangalore after having mutton biryani definately makes me remember of arsalaan in kolkata I know not like arsalaan but some of the expectations meet here. Firni rolls biryani woww
Good if you realy like very oily mughlai flavoured lakhnowie biriyani ..
Had a massive craving for the Chicken chap of the one I had in Arsalan in Dubai... though not of the same league but it was better than the other Calcutta restaurants in town. The Biryani and the Chicken chap were good. There was just one Other customer apart from us in the restaurant - during weekday lunch , generally tht is a sign not to enter th place but surprisingly the food was delicious and the service promt. I would visit again if not for the distance.
Purchased both mutton & chicken biriyani and chicken chaap. Mutton smell is there(its not Calcutta goat mutton- khashi but local mutton used) and chicken its not at all tender and bad smell in chicken chaap. As they used some burnt oil or ghee in both biriyani and chicken chaap. I would rate 1 out of 10 and its a disgrace if we compare the quality of their Kolkata branch food taste and Bangalore and I wasted rs 1200 . Please avoid this place as they offer worst quality biriyani.
Excellent Chicken Roll. Best one is Double Chicken Double Egg Roll.
Good food but price is little high. Friendly staff.
Aalishaan is a Bengali roll, biryani and kebab place; the rolls are made on refined flour based Kathi rolls finished into anda parathas and then the filling is put in... The rolls are delicious and food can be re-ordered blindly.
Cheese kababs are worth trying.
Nice food and good service...it is a good place to grab a good delicious meal and catch up with friends with a nice ambience
Costly and the quantity is too large, take a biryani and two can eat, dont waste ok buying two biryani, you cant complete
Best & authentic kolkata roll and biriyani 😋
Came to this place on 25th Oct 2020 for dinner. Ordered three special Mutton biryani and one special chicken Chicken Biryani. But to my surprise all meat piece are majorly bones laced with fats. Very poor in terms of quality but quantity is alright. Wash basin and restroom are very unhygienic. This place is simply no no for my repeated visit.
Insects in biriyani
Do not take Biryani from this restaurant, I have ordered and found waste in quality and taste.
Great place for Kolkata style biryani, tandoor and mughlai.
Khushka was really good and feel was also really awesome
I will give one star or if possible I could have 0 to them, food quality is too bad. I bought biriyani which cost me Rs.550 ( which is overpriced) . They mixed rotton biriyani, the smell was really bad lastly I have thrown it out. I will suggest everyone please dont go there. They are too bad now a days...
Good food...but quality degraded from before
One of my favourite place for biryani, I love the taste.
Price suddenly they increased to 30% after lockdown but quality reduced to -30%. Means quality is inversely proportional to price for them. 🤣🤣🤣. Lol.
Being away from your hometown you miss a lot of things but this place food taste exactly like Kolkata my hometownBiryani and roll taste very goodA must visit place according to meStaff are also very friendly
Not all recommended...just waste of money
Visited today, biryani and starters wasnt good. May be due to corona. Not coming back soon.
Never order any food from them , I ordered on 27th sep biriyani and chaap , they send me food which smelling bad ,, its 2-3 days cooked food and make it hot however earlier it was nice restaurant.. Never try during this time ,, Its very bad experience
Too good..specially the service of the manager..so humble and kind..and the food was superb..
In love with their kolkata style kati Rolls ! Just wow ❤️
Expected a genuine kolkata biriyani. But biriyani is too much soaked in oil.
Everything was pretty average and I didnt find any Bengali touch.
Best place to have Kolkata Kati Rolls. So yum 😋
They had a very good food quality which has substantially degraded over the years.last time had briyani which had so much salt and no taste at all. Disappointed and will avoid
Food quality n quantity has gone down drastically over years, & they dont even bother about it I complained - thats really sad.....
Kolkata roll ,biryani ,chanp .... Minus the oil and dalda.this is how I would like to describe this place.never experienced acidity (bodhojom).the biryani has very mild keora.the chanp the next day also tastes equally good...rather better.while ordering , ask for a thin paratha with less oil fry.that wld b good....trust me
The curries are too good. Price is also very reasonable compared to other restaurants. Overall its nice.
Aalishaan is known for its biriyani and they doesnt disappoint. Its always a new flavour of mutton or chicken I try whenever I go there and offers a heck lot of to choose from.
For the food these guys should get 4/5 but putting it up as 3 as they realy need to work on customer experience
Very good bengali biriyani... visited this place after long and found they have changed for better 👍
Lovely bengali cuisine. Must have dishes in lude their Kolkata style mutton biriyani, Chicken chap, cutlets and Rolls. And how can I forget Phirni
This place serves Biriyani of tastes from all over India.. Be it the Lucknow - e, hyderabad - e or pure Bengali style... I enjoyed the Bengali style... But the other tastes are worth trying as well..
Food is good but staff members were poor. It seems like the staff ppl r forcefully asked to work. Without looking at the staff members around the food is nice to eat
This type of food cannot be made on coconut oil.. order Chicken chaap on 1st Aug 2020 and was extremely disappointed
Nice Bengali authentic biriyani. 👍
Its too bad , and late service , too dirty bad quality food and much more
They have improved the quality of Biriyani. However do note with normal mutton biriyani boiled egg is not served. But thats okay as far quality and taste is intact...
The food is good, however there is no ambience in this place so, the cost seems little bit on the higher side considering its just a normal eatery. The place is neat and clean but not fancy.I ate kebabs and Lucknow biryani and both tasted great. The decoration of the food was good. You can try this restaurant once if you are in Kormangala.
The food quality as well as taste are superb....we liked very much paneer kofta...its very soft...
Nice bengali biriyani and chaap. Do not expect the same as kolkata but the taste is close
Worst service
We gone for take away, ordered mutton biriyani and Alishaan special kaabab. It was just awesome, chicken kabab was so tender and biriyani was awesome... in Bengali what we say kono kotha hobenaPeople who are craving for Kolkata style biriyani should try this. You will get exact taste like kolkata.Keep this up guys !!! Keep this same quality and taste that we get in Bengal.
Pathetic food, if they are claiming its Kolkata biryani, then they must stop propagating the same. Its bowl of oil with some yellow rice n a stale piece of mutton, yeah only thing that has a similarity is the potato. THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED, POSITIVELY DO NOT VISIT!!
Superb quality food..
The food quality has drastically changed..Aalishan was famous for Kolkata style biryani..But on my last visit I found the taste of the biryani is no where like Kolkata biryani..The flavour of the aloo was also different..The quantity is great though! But that doesnt matter when you are in search of Kolkata style biryani here in Bangalore!
Aalishan provides you an aalishan bengali biryani at Kormangala, Bangalore. I will always tempt to come back here again for their biryani. Reason for giving four stars is that I hope in the near future they will add more spices of Aalishaaness in their Biryani recipe.
Very bad services by the staffs , yes only for Biriyani it is worth coming
Authentic Kolkata Biryani
You will get biriyani in north Indian flavor but staffs are not trained and not polite at all. Wait time is too much for this type of over rated restaurant.
This place serves quite authentic Kolkata style biriyani and rolls. My personal favourite is the Mutton Spcl Biriyani and Chicken Chaap. Their Mughlai chicken dishes are also very good.
I loved the food, the staff behaviour, and the entire ambience!I would genuinely recommend this place to everyone!
Its probably the best place to find authentic Kolkata Briyani..
Food is very tasty 👌 and reasonably priced as well. Good service 🙏
I visited it on 4th jan. And it was not a good experience. I ordered veg biryani and when I tested, It was not good and also waited several minutes for food.
Place is shady but the food quality is very good.. Serves bengali style biryani with potatoes😉( Quite rare in Bangalore)
Good food quality. Quantity is sufficient for any giant. Complete Kolkata style biryani essence. Chicken pieces are also good and soft. Recomend to all bengali biryani lover must try Aalishan for varities of tasty foods. Keep it up Aalishan Restaurant.
I havent tried restaurant as I always go for rolls. The rolls are good and reasonably priced. Good Bengali roll
Everything here is very expensive. I dont mind paying if the food is good, but the taste was awful. My friend and I ordered a hyderabad chicken biriyani and tandoori chicken. Tandoori chicken was okay okay. I think that was the only good point here. But the biriyani was terrible. Never in my life have I tasted something that bad. Not to mention there was no sherwa given with the biriyani. The quantity of one plate was too much as well. I think 3-4 people can eat from that plate. But i still wont recommend it. Theres also no softdrinks or juice available( I think there might have been lemonade though but Im not sure). Service was also slow and the people there only seem to know Hindi making conversation though. Overall I wont recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Motton cubab is soo tasty
Great food! Great service! Amazing taste.
Tried biriyani. The staffs felt they were busy but customers were less. Biriyani tasted good. Portion was good enough. Felt nothing wow experience. Seems need to work out a bit so can earn 5 stars.
Food is excellent and to our palate. But place super dirty
The ambience is not good but their chicken roll is good.
