Good Maharashtrian food but definitely overpriced. The biggest issue I have with this place is the setup and cleanliness. Its a tiny place which is pretty cramped and cleanliness is not the best because its kind of open dining with shaky chairs. Two insects ended up in my Solkadhi because of this. I got the Missal Pav here which was good. Sabudana Vada was standard. Nothing mind blowing. For drinks we got Kokum Sharbat and Solkadhi. Cannot recommend this particular branch because of the way it is setup and considering the price charged. That being said I am yet to find a great place with Maharashtrian food near Indiranagar. 2 wheeler parking is manageable near here and you can keep an eye on your vehicle while dining.Avoid this place if:1. You are looking for good ambiance .2. You want value for money food.3. 4 wheeler parking is a must.4. If you dislike oily food. Maharashtrian food is mostly oily.Visit if:1. You want good authentic Maharashtrian food.2. You are Maharashtrian. LOL.

Theres a small piece of Maharashtra sitting here at Indiranagar, Bangalore! With true authentic flavours, this tiny little 4 table restaurant serves Maharashtrians and others with some Extremely delicious food! The preparation style is slightly affected by their Kolhapuri origin, however everything here on the menu is lip-smacking & finger licking worthy! The Missal Pav & Vada pav is one of the popular must-try items on the menu. If youre in time for lunch or dinner, then please do try out the Zunka Bhakri thali...Note: unlike my other reviews, I dont think its fair to rate this place for it ambiance, music & service! Its a simple no-brainer restaurant with a decent seating and theyve got the bare necessities right - ESPECIALLY TASTE!

Nice place for a quick bite of Vada Pav in the evenings or to have a complete meal in the noon and at nights.A small, simple and nice place.Have not tasted the food here, but I am sure it should be good. Located opposite to Indiranagar ESI hospital and easy to locate.Available for service and take away. Steps to be taken as no wheel chair assistance ramp available. Could not see a rest room so not sure about the same. Parking available at the crossroads near the restaurant.Courteous staff, clean place, with limited seating but sufficient seating and a nice view to just chill and enjoy watching life at the crossroads 👍🏽Give it a try and help establishments bloom again.

When it comes Maharashtran cuisine, suryawanshi is one of the prominent names which comes to your mind. I have been to couple of other outlets in Bengaluru and recently been to their first Suryawanshi outlet in Bengaluru with my friends and liked it.🥕🍆🥦🍖🍗🥚🍚🍤🍹🥭🥗PS. I have rated this place only on the basis of food. No ambience is considered here.🇫🍽️ What I ate❓🌮Misal pav ➡️ There are certain things you must try when you go to Maharashtran restaurant and Misal pav is one. The Misal pav was very good. The gravy along was hot and tasted good.🍡Sabudana vada pav ➡️ Another good snack which is made up of saggo and provided with a chutney. It tasted good.🥓Mutton kheema pav ➡️ The minced mutton along with the pav was very good. The minced mutton was on a spicier side.🍤Prawns rava fry ➡️ This was served hot. The rava was well garnished on the prawns and they tasted good.🐟Malvani pomfret fry ➡️ It was a nice decent fish fry. Which had the essence of the konkani style.🥐Malvani prawns sukha masala ➡️ This was one of the favourite. I loved the sukha. This can be considered while eating the rotis.

A small food joint, when you pass by it you might not understand how good food they serve. But honestly speaking Suryawanshi has become one of my favorite place to eat non veg food. I went on a Monday so they did not have all the fishes available. The prawn Sukha they serve is just out of this world. This place serves close to authentic Marathi cuisine..!My favourite and most common snack at any Marathi household is the Sabudana Vada...We then moved on to some mutton keema and egg burji pav.For the main course we had to order the grand mutton thali..!! The mutton thali comes with 3 different type of mutton, rice and roti. But what is life without seafood right..!! So we ordered prawn sukha and Bhagda fry..!!The best thing was the two rassa... One was a spicy red scrumptious Tambda rassa and the other was peppery Pandhra Rassa... Both can be jus had on its own like a tasty soup... I had it with rice and it was just soo yummie..To end the dinner we had a puran poli and Srikhand.. I loved them both.

Being a half Maharashtrian. And spending all summers in Mumbai. My love for its food never died. After relocating to Bangalore. It was very difficult to settle in and being a foodie. It was difficult to find places that serve food to my taste. After some suggestions I tried the food here. The best misal pav and kheema pav Ive tasted. The kheema pavs aroma took me back to Mumbais lanes and got back umpteen memories.I also tried the sea food. Loved the fish fry and crab fry was a steal deal. Super spicy and yet finger licking good. Also loved the soul kadhi. Was a tad bit spicy for a drink. But went really well with the thaali. Also not to forget the crispy and scrumptious sabudana wada. And the wada pav. For me the garlic dry chutny was the best :)Head to this place to try some lip smacking thaali and some tasty starters.

Not My first time to Suryawanshi, definitely not my first time to this outlet, this place has been my go to place when I crave for some authentic Maharashtrian cuisine. It have been to other outlets in Sarjapur and Whitefield, which are a little upmarket in terms of space & seating. But nothing compared to this outlet, which is as rustic as Mumbai is, a little cramped but still serving the most delicious cuisine, transporting you to Maharashtra.I have always been a vegetarian when I visited all the times before, but this time I went on my non-vegetarian day, for a nice lunch in a mildly warm Bangalore afternoon, with a friend.I bet some interesting and curious conversations, we managed to devour a plate of Misal Pav and Keema Pav.The Misal as always was fantastic, fabulous, flavoursome, simply retreating the best of Maharashtra in Namma Bengaluru. The Sol Kadhi is something that I love across all the outlets, this one is no exception, beautifully made, slight sour, delicious pink drink that I gulped a couple down throughout the meal.My first time trying Keema Pav, it was just perfect. Beautiful meat flavours, accentuated by authentic maharashtrian spices, a little too hot, but I absolutely loved the heat, with the bowl almost getting slurped down with the pav. This is the recommended dish for Keema lovers, and am already dreaming about what other combinations I can pair with this delicious Keema, maybe rice, chapati, or with a take away some Kerala Parota, Pulao, Roti, Naan, and what not. Both the portions were huge, that we could not go for their signature Thalis, after this heavy snack. So decided to order a couple of starters with chapati. The vegetarian selection was a Baingan Masala and Jowar Roti. For my non-vegetarian selection, I opted for Chicken Sukka and Prawns Sukka with a chapati. The Baingan Masala was very well made with the eggplant being celebrated in a great Masala, with the gravy going well with the slightly dry Jowar Roti. Both the Chicken Sukka & Prawns Sukka was absolutely well made, beautifully seasoned, the prawns extremity fresh, if I wasn’t full, I could have easily ordered some rice and mixed up the semi gravy and devoured it in seconds.Offcourse we ended up with a Amrakhand and shared the delicious goodness. Absolutely rich and creamy cold dessert that can represent the best of India to the world, especially this version here at Suryawanshi. If you crave for Maharashtrian cuisine, Suryawanshi is probably the only place you can get some authentic goodness in Namma Bengaluru. Suryawanshi is where I head for my Misal cravings and now Keema cravings, and you should too.

Everytime I get craving for soul food, I head to this amazing place 😍The place is small, but has amazing food so the phrase Chota packet bada dhamaka describes it perfectly. The place specializes in maharashtrain cuisine which is rare in bangalore & for a mumbaikar like me its heaven. The place is small, with simple yet comfortable interiors. The servers here a humble, but need a little training professionally. We started off with the sol kadhi & the lime sharbat, but refreshing & yummy. Specially loved the sol kadhi. Then we went on to try out their vada pav which i felt was a bit dry & could have been much better. The mutton sukha & the chicken keema is what totally stole the show with its spice taste. Also loved the bangda fry & the prawns rava fry.The gala chicken thali was a beautiful huge plate of godness. Loved the teecha, chicken sukha & the padhra raasa. For desserts we tried the shrikhand & the gulab jamun both of which were amazing. So overall it was a soul satisfactory meal.FOOD - 5/5SERVICE - 3/5AMBIENCE - 4/5

Suryavanshi has been on my bucketlist for a while for trying out Maharashtrian food in Bangalore for a while. Eventually had a the opportunity with a group of friends.StartersSabudana Vada : Authentic and crunchy just the way i like it alongside served with sweet curd. This is by far the best sabudana Vada in the city.Misal Pav - This wasnt as spicy , yet i enjoyed the taste the sprout beans made it taste even healthier. Pretty good soft pavs too.Spicy Prawns Starter : This was the highlight of the dishes for me that day, never tasted prawns this good in ages. Spicy and tangy loved it.Bangda Fry : The fish was perfectly cooked the marination was just the right amount , prepared in traditional Maharashtrian way of cooking.Mutton Kheema Pav : Spicy Kheema served with cut onions and lime. Goes very well along with soft pavs made here.Crab Sukka Masala : As delicious as the dish is it can be complicated to eat it. But extremely well made.Chicken Fry Thali : Served with Chicken curry, egg masala , chicken fry, 3 rotis , dal, sol kadi, gulab jamun and one veg sabzi this was a hunger filler. You wont regret ordering this if you are really hungry. Highly recommended.SweetsPuran Poli ; as traditional and classic dish to order. They got it perfectly cooked with right texture. Only wish the filling was a little softer and not completely dry.

Most of the people in Bangalore might have heard how famous the suryawanshi restaurant is. So I decided to try them out. Its a very small place with very friendly and courteous staff. First, I had the sabudana vada which is cooked sabudana made like a tikki and fried, which is very great. Then I had the misal pav, which is served with Freshly chopped onions and lemon wedge. Its really spicy though. Then I had the rawa fried prawns which is also just amazing and a must try dish here, the seasoning of the crumbing is also on point. Also, I had the river pomfret fry which was perfectly marinated and had amazing flavours.Moving on, the mutton keema pav which is basically minced mutton in a thick gravy served along side pav Or buns was also very nice, hot and fresh. To end the meal, I had the puran poli otherwise known as Holige in kannada which is like a sweet chapati with loads of ghee. It is just fantastic. Anyone craving for Marathi food, this is a place to visit!

Suryawanshi was in my bucket list for a long time as there is a scarcity of authentic Maharashtrian restaurants in the city.  So one fine evening 3 of us went for a casual dinner after work. This Indiranagar outlet is a tiny one with 4-5 table, with a maximum capacity of 20 people. So if you are planning for a group outing, reserve in advance. Now coming to food, we started off with one of my most favorite and quintessential Maharasthiran snacks Sabudana vada. It was served hot and the fine texture of sagu with a tangible crispness made it one of the best dishes we tried here. next up, we had spicy and mouth-watering egg bhurji pav. We were so overwhelmed that we ordered one non-veg derivative of it: keema pav. a tad bit disappointed with the taste of the keema. It was somewhat undercooked and didnt please us at all.For the main course, we ordered Splendid mutton thali, my favorite Prawn sukkha, and masala bhagda fish fry .. Succulent prawns were perfectly cooked in rich coconut-based gravy of sukkha ... Thaali was a hit, we loved the mutton dishes viz.  Mutton Keema, Mutton Kholapuri curry and Mutton Sukkha. last but not the least, two surprise item in store for you which come with the thaali, i.e:...  two most famous rassa. One was a spicy red  Tambda rassa and the other was fiery white Pandhra Rassa. Both of them had the potential to be the just had on its own like a tasty soup.We ended our dinner with a huge Purranpolli and  Shrikhand... both of them were pleasant to the pallet.

One must try this place if they have Maharashtrian cuisine cravings. This restaurant serves some beautiful authentic Maharashtrian dishes which are lip smacking! They have four outlets in Bangalore. I had ordered many times from their Sarjapur road branch but did visit their Indiranagar branch quite recently for Lunch with one of my friend.Started with some Sol Kadhi and Buttermilk. Sol Kadhi was delicious and perfect. My friend did love it. Buttermilk was very delicious with right spice and flavour. We started off with Misal Pav and my friend ordered a Keema Pav. Misal Pav, spicy curry made sprouted lentils topped with Farsan or sev, coriander leaves, onions was delicious! Portion size was good, they did serve 3 Pavs to go with it. My friend did love their Keema Pav and highly recommended it.I also tried their Baigan Masala with Jwarichi (Jowar ) Roti. Beautiful combination as Jowar roti is quite dry, Baigan masala gave a good blend to it.We were almost full but couldnt resist trying their Amarkhand. Very creamy and smooth with beautiful subtle flavours and absolutely not overpowering sweetness.Overall had a very good experience, if you want to try some authentic Maharashtrian cuisine this is one of the places in Bengaluru.

It was long due. I was waiting for Suryawanshi to come on Swiggy. I had heard so many conflicting reviews from my fellow Marathi friends, that I decided to taste the food myself and went ahead with 2 items I wanted to turn out best. Batata (potato) vada and Tambda (Red hot) Rassa. Had they turned out disappointing, I would never have ordered again. But, fortunately the food was THE best.Vada was perfect on many accounts - size, mushy filling, taste and crispiness. Red chutney was also appropriately hot. And Tambda Rassa was so mouth wateringly and nose wateringly delicious. Now, since the basics are covered, I have confidence to go ahead and order many other items. तांबडा रस्सा छान झणझणीत होता!Only thing that disappointed me was the packing. Rassa package was leaking profusely by the time it reached my place. Maybe they could look into it.

I was a huge fan of this restaurant for its taste and value for money till today morning. The taste remains intact but no value for money at all.I actually travelled from bannerghatta road to indira nagar for this food. This is 4the time in last 45 days. 2and and 3rd time the experience was same as the below 4th time experience.I took sukha mutton, mutton thali and few chapatis for parcel....I usually dont check the content. So when I went home and sat for lunch....to my utter disappointment, the quality of mutton pieces were like literally 6 pieces of only bones....no meat at all....no gravy at all....all the masala was marinated to the bones.....so if anybody can explain me what do I do with the 6 pieces of only mutton bones and chapati, Ill be grateful. The same types of pieces were in mutton thali as well. The same experience was for 2nd and 3rd time as well.I am literally disappointed with this and would never take parcel or return to this branch. Hopefully we get a better experience in whitefield branch. When I gave the feedback with a picture to cashier person...he says he will change the vendor. Im not sure how can he say that he will change the vendor. Whereas I know that the food comes readily made from whitefield every morning.

First and Great Marathi Cuisine Experience!Got recommended by a food expertise Marathi Friend.Ordered a Mutton Thaali which includes3 Chapathi (Very soft and thin),1 Bowl Rice (Small quantity but enough actually),1 Mutton Sukha (Boneless Mutton Semi Gravy),1 Mutton Gravy (4 to 5 Pieces with Bone ),Tambda, Pandra, Solkadi,Egg Curry (1 Full Egg cut into half pieces),Papad Of course, and Gulab JamunUnexpectedly, the Egg Curry damn good. Goes very well with Rice and Chapathi. Very thick due to more coconut is added. Loved it really.Mutton Sukha was so good. Very tender boneless mutton pieces. The semi gravy was properly cooked so that spice and other ingredients were equally balanced. Mutton Curry was a light dish with Mutton Bone Pieces to enrich the currys flavor. Perfect match for the rice even for Chapathi but I would recommend Egg Gravy for Chapathi and Mutton Gravy for Rice.Tambda and Pandra were amazing new things I have tried. Tambda was more into soup kind of a dish but Pandra was tasted like a strong Stew. Both uplifted the total flavor and experience. Finally Solkadi which soothes your tummy after all these heavy dishes. Little sour and more into Rasam flavor as name says.Totally an amazing and exciting experience. Really liked to visit again to try remaining dishes.
