Biriyani is awesome. Overpriced for sure. The Pepper lolipop chicken is Out of the world. Must try!!In biriyani if you could bring same flavour of rice to the chicken it would be grate. The chicken in the biriyani was not so flavourful, like it was standing out from the rice. If there is a. Way to blend the rice and chicken together it would add up the quality of the biriyani.(Maybe I havent had enough thalapakatti biriyani, But this is my suggestion)

Nice place. Known for its biriyani and non veg. Veg food is not so bad after all. We had panner tikka, veg biriyani and veg curry with roti. Panner tikka and veg curry were good but the biryani had too much masala for our liking. But overall had a very good experience. Typically on a weekday their is a wait of about 10 to 15 mins One of the best biriyani in south India is now available in Bangalore. Amazing taste of biriyani and varieties of starters. Price is high but the quantity is also good. Mutton dishes are good. Weekends are crowded. Biriyani and mutton starters are must try. Soon will try with other dishes. The food is really good and would suggest to anyone who is looking for a nice Biriyani or any non veg for that matter. The food also has a nice traditional taste to it.The place was a little cramped and as crowd gets higher the staff try and get u out of there as soon as possible. This is a slight inconvenience to groups who want to relax after their meal. Also some of the staff in white shirts were just standing around leaning against the pillars which was blocking the walking paths for any customer in the already cramped spaces. They can be a little more aware of who is around and whats happening.

This legendary chain of restaurants has been up and running for about more than half a century now. Serving some delicious Tamil Nadu style biryanis, they have surely created their mark in the culinary map of India. I was surprised to see how popular this restaurant is even in foreign countries. It was my first time trying out some Tamil Nadu style non vegetarian food and I absolutely loved it. The gunfire chicken had the right amount of spice to begin with, which was then followed by the famous drink from Madurai called jigarthanda! It was an absolute treat. Then came the legendary Thalappakatti Mutton Biryani and it was absolutely delicious! It was way different than all the biryanis Ive ever tried and was delicious in its own way. Light on spices, flavourful rice and succulent pieces of lamb made this Biryani a perfect treat to relish! However, the service experience was slightly putting off. The service staff were clueless while taking orders and the order took slightly more time than expected. Im glad the delicious food compensated for it!Overall, the place almost lives upto the hype around it. Really looking forward to visit again soon, especially for the refreshing jigarthanda 😍Food: 5/5Ambiance: 4/5Service: 4/5Overall: 4/5

I have heard a lot about Dindigul thalapakatti and was very eager to try the same. Age old flavours, surviving the test of time had to mean something for sure. I was at the outlet in brigade road which is very spacious and there is a lot of family crowd here. The hygiene was very impressive as l staff were in masks and gloves and temperature checks are conducted before youre let in. Youre made to be seated at properly distanced spaces which makes it easier to decide where to be seated. To begin with I had a pallipallyam chicken boneless roast which is a style of chicken fry recipe made by sauteing chicken pieces in a spicy onion- garlic masala. It is popularly called as β€œChinna Vengayam” and the onions are ground along with garlic and then sautΓ©ed well with basic Indian spices - this turns out to be way more flavourful than you can think of! The portion sizes are handsome too. I ordered the chicken biryani which comes with an uncompromised piece of chicken and an egg and the rice is incredible delectable. Not just that, the salaan and raitha just add so much to the flavours of the very same biryani. They have biryanis for delivery in various sizes too including a huge bucket that is enough for 3-4 people. The hospitality was indeed incredible and I cant wait to dine in again!

The moment I walked in to this very outlet of Dindigul thalapakatti, I was super intrigued to know how they stood the test of time over almost 6 decades. Started in 1957 by Mr. Nagasamy Naidu under the name Anandha Vilas Biriyani Hotel in Dindigul, they now have 50+ outlets in India. To begin with I ordered the peri peri barbeque chicken - wholesome pieces of chicken in bone marinated well and cooked to perfection, the evenly coated spices on the chicken and the many condiments alongside made it my favourite!I followed it with mutton biryani and recalled how once I had ordered it in and loved it, but having it hot and fresh at the outlet just enhanced the flavours by leaps and bounds for me. The best part was the fact that the mutton was boneless - this is one of the things that keeps making me want to be here! The portion sizes are exceptional, for someone with an average appetite - one small biryani is enough for two and the starters come in good portions as well. Not to forget the impeccable hospitality and incredibly knowledgeable staff who make the experience an outstanding one!

Though the prices are bit higher -- given that you can get some really good Hyderabadi dum and Andhra style biryanis at around β‚Ή200-β‚Ή250 -- the taste and quality of the food here is commendable. I went with the mutton biryani and Pallipalayam chicken. Both tasted really nice and easy on tummy as I didnt find any artificial colours or flavours in the food. Can easily add to the list of restaurants to frequently visit.Happy that an Indian restaurant chain is spreading its tentacles across the globe.

If I had the opportunity to derate the hotel I would have done it. such a pathetic condition of the food. Place ambience is good but the food is not fot for human consumption. This place willl be reported to the concerned authorities and shut down as soon as possible. Coming to my actual account of experience there. We ordered for starters :Chicken kebab whos size was as big as a medium sized clam.Taste wise ok nothing great. Main course was ghee rice and 2 mutton biriyani. Ghee rice was made with stale spoilt rice since it was warm it masked the actual after putting the first morsel into the mouth , felt like throwing up immediately,we complained about it to the waiter & they in turn told us to speak to the chef who never came out to face us.. Coming to their famous mutton biryani , first of all it was served cold and then when tasted it made every one nauseated & sick.Never tasted so horrible food. Even stray animals would refuse to eat such food.We informed this to the manager who himself was struggling & fighting with the management to relieve him from the job(over the phone). Hoping that concern authorities take action & seal down the place soon.
