Located on the residency road, down town pub is a good place to enjoy beer with friends and dear ones. The interior and ambience is good. Quality and quantity of food/ snacks served are good and priced reasonably. Happy hour offer 1+1 on draught beers. During the IPL the atmosphere is totally different, similar to a cricket ground with all cricket enthusiasts cheering up for their favourite teams. Parking is available on the main road.

I heard they brew their own beer here. They have one plus one during happy hours too ! The draught beer was the best. Probably the best Ive ever tasted. Its smoothly brewed beer thats not diluted like they do in other pubs. Doesnt have the environment of a party kind of a pub with a huge screen TV, EDM music etc. Its quiet, dark and dingy and personally, thats the kind of place Id go to with my buds. The food is good too. For the price they offer, the starters always tickle your tongue to order more and its not going to cut holes in your wallet. Definitely recommend this place if you like a quiet, private place to have the best beer ever brewed and order some munchies while talking about good ol times !

Best place for people looking to go back to the 70s 80s feel. The ambience here makes you feel like youre back to old days. The staffs here are elder by age and they greet you very good and be friendly with you. Been visiting the place since 2011 (my college days) And please try avoiding any conversation here with any unknown people as you might find those kind of people even (our personal experience what we faced here) Incase they do try ignoring them in a nice way or alert the staffs if it is going beyond. Otherwise a wonderful place affordable by price and lovely food. Please try the lamb pepper or shredded lamb here with a beer (when available) Theres no valet parking here so you might have to drive few meters away to find your car parking or anytime better to park it at pay and park basements due to tow away zones at this particular road.

Probably one of the oldest pubs in Bangalore. I had been Im guessing before 8-9 years. Back then though, the music,. ambience and crowd was really good! At present though, it just like an old tavern - random crowd come in. I like to visit here though, as it is very pocket friendly during happy hours.

Staff is not friendly, he doesnt know how to talk to a customer.The place is very small.But happy hours are good where you get one plus one.

Down Town Pub pub takes the term downtown very literally, by having its establishment in the basement. We actually missed it while driving past.A quintessential old Bangalore pub, it retains all the elements from the era gone by, including the waiters.The crude behaviour of the waiters was also an authentic experiences.The artwork and personal etchings in the smoking room evoke deep thoughts in the mind of the non-smoker who visits the room just to accompany his friends.Overall, a place to visit if youre on Residency Road.

It is one of Bangalores very own old hangouts, used to frequent the pub in my college years. They are revamping the place and are going to hold many interesting events in the coming future. Its a place to visit for old Bangaloreans if you want to go down memory lane.

Its a budget pub... u will have all pub facilities within a small budget... they would also happy hour facilities...

The Fosters beer is great. The waiters are not helpful and the ambience is dead. Theres no crowd. If youre depressed and want to get a drink as a loner, look no further. 👌

Came here after a gap of about 15 years...had some great times earlier. Stupid changes. No smoking...in a pub for Godsakes! And you cant take your beer to the smoking zone. Speak of stupid. Not to mention the filthy toilet. The staff would be at home in the twilight zone.

One of the old pubs in downtown Bangalore. Its for a causal beer catch-up with friends or for the hard drink. Its bit old time place, but if the mission is for talk with friends, it shouldnt matter. Dont expect great food or service, but its a cheaper option in the heart of the town.

Drink is good....but when I ordered panner 65 I got chilli panner and when I told this to barrier he again and again says that what he served is called panner 65(added photo) in the Pub.
