Costa Mama already famous for its food prior to COVID lockdowns are still trying to keep up.Combos & sanna (Manglorean Idli) was not available on the menu. But had a good range of choice on menu. Tried Chicken Sukka , Squid 🦑 roast , Neer dosa , Bangda Tawa Fry, Carrot halwaChicken Sukka was amazing 🤩. I recommend it. Squid was spicy 🌶 and mixed with variety of flavors. But a little too powdered gravy still taste was ok. Bangda Tawa fry the marinate was excellent and well cooked. Carrot halwa good choice to bring the spices to a balance.Neet dosa with Chicken Sukka is a must try !!!! Consider a small wait for food as fish on menu takes time.Neat presentation, good polite service, light background music , place was not crowded and seating was spaced well with concerns of COVID care. Overall good , pleasant dining experience.

Quaint place for a down to earth experience. Good food served in good portion sizes make it a must visit. Ambience is casual. The courteous staff and the authentic Mangalorean style food makes it a place I definitely would recommend to sea food lovers.

Highly recommended for an authentic experience of Mangalorean cuisine. Good value for money, decent ambience and courteous staff make it a really good place for trying out sea food. Place is on the second floor though and there is no lift. This withstanding, I would recommend it to everyone. Parking is available on adjacent streets.

I am unable to upload video I have proof for what I am going to describe below,Just ordered Kori roti and when I opened the roti container I just see several small cockroaches playing hide seek game in between the roti wat a sight it was since I unboxed the container they started spamming out I had to literally smash them with my bare hands so that they dont litter at my home. I immediately took a video and not able to upload the same here.( Order was through Zomato) This is serious food and safety issue you guys are just playing with peoples health? Make profit do business charge more but do not play with health. Pathetic I will be sharing the same with video in social media as well have escalated to Zomato as well.

Food with reasonable price

You can experience authentic kerala coastal food (i guess) overall we tried couple of fish varities and they taste awesome. But if you are some one who eats lots of biryani form andhra/TS. A serious advice to avoid ordering any type of biryani as it contains lot of onions which tastes sweet every bite you take and you wont be happy with that for sure. But fish starters were 👍.

This place serves Mangalorean and Konkani cuisine. My favourite here was chicken ghee roast and neer dose. But last night i think they did not serve the freshly cooked one as the chicken and the masala both were very had. Their starters are really good. The anjal green chutney fry was really yummy and the Bangda tawa fry was really tasty. I am not a fan of their curries. The silver fish curry did not taste good at all. The corriander rice was very bland and oily. We thought it was ghee but it dint taste like ghee. You can give this place a try.

Simple place, no frills, food is super, silver fish, mutton ghee roast, prawn gassi, Appam and neer dosa is what I had, could do with some more, but like I always say, you gotta keep something for the next time as well.Felt so complete after having this meal, sure visit when in Bangalore.

I went to this place with family expecting good coastal cuisine. The food here was coastal but the coastal flavor was not at all there. The fish was okayishh I felt. Yesterday we visited this hotel after this pandemic. I was very happy after seeing the disinfection of table right infront of our eyes.. Also about the food I felt like I am having food in Goa🙂 and about service they were really good. I appreciate them completely😊 It was my date with my husband after long time.. I used to love this place and ordered regularly from here. But the last two times Ive ordered from here Ive gotten Cockroach in my Daalithove and fish curry. Change your name to Cockroach mama. Absolutely horrified with the food. Dont order from here if you value hygiene.

The Best place.. I repeat, the best place for sea food in Bangalore. You can blindly order any food and u would most definitely love it.. we tried quiet a few dishes starting from neer dosa, prawn ghee roast, squid fry, chicken green chutney masala, seer fish masala fry and pomfret tawa fry. Trust me, I have never liked any other food more than what I tried in this place. Definitely worth a visit. Pocket friendly and very neat and clean place. Quick service. I did read negative reviews about delivery food, but can’t comment on that as I visited the place for a dine in. Highly recommended place.

The food was amazing and finger-lickng...we had an amazing time....plus their decor is non-chic which i feel is more enticing, their servers were very friendly but their service was extremely extremely slow....and that was a little put off becoze we had to wait between our dishes

Had a really bad experience in terms of service. The food, I admit, was really good. Waiting 1 hour for it, was not. Especially when you have your family visiting and everyone was really hungry. When I asked them why its taking so much time, the answer was shocking - there are some swiggy orders that we have to serve first! If you know that you wont be able to serve us in 20 mins, why tell us that ? Just tell us how much time itll take and well decide accordingly. Never again will I visit this place. If you HAVE to have food from here, I suggest that you order from swiggy. At least youll avoid having to deal with the horrible wait staff.The photo shows us waiting for the 2nd curry having already finished all the neer dosa we had ordered (the first set of food came 1 hour after we ordered)

The food is okay but the ambience is not that great. The speed of service and hospitality tests your patience a lot. Its a decent place though not economical which you can choose when you have plenty of time and patience. There is no parking available.

I liked the ambience which is really I traditional traditional. Main attraction or I can say interesting area is hand washing basin. Visit once and say their creativity. Coming to the point of food which is very delicious and its worth for money. Even though we were visited at the closing time we got really really a good service. The one who loves coastal food should definitely visit this place once. If you are visiting this place with two wheeler then parking is not a problem otherwise you have to park your vehicle little far distance. I recommend this place 4 delicious coastal food. If youre looking for tasty mangalorean meal, you should treat yourself at Coastal Mama. It takes a slight effort to find the entrance. You walk up a staircase to get to this establishment. The decor is rustic and has a very seaside shack vibe. I dont think the vibe was intentional.The service is okay. Nothing exceptional. What matters, is the food, which is pretty dang amazing. End of story.

Such a nice place located in JP Nagar.

I would not advice to come here in the afternoon, because the roof is aluminium and on the top floor just heats up your head. The fans dont do any justice. The food is over all good , but then the experience is taken down by the heated roof.We walked out with a head ache.

The seafood platter is pretty good for the money. Individual items a tad bit pricey. Nice ambience and a very nice restaurant with good service. The fish items are not the best that I have had. They need to soak the meat in salt for a bit longer to get the right taste.
