Not the Original Rice Bowl anymore. Dirty vessels. Waiter’s are confused about the orders. Wouldn’t recommend anyone. There are many new places 100 times better than this. Hope they improve soon

The place feels its authentic Chinese however, I was.not satisfied with the food taste as we were expecting a spicy twist to the dishes ordered. Please suits for people who want to taste pure Chinese without any India touch to it. Had ordered chirpy veg, veg spring role, veg fried rice and veg ball curry - out of all these items we were satisfied with chirspy veg. Then menu is long and has quite dishes for non veg item. The price is high and average 1200 for 2 people if we take 4 dishes.

I visited here with my sis for lunch and the food we ordered wasn’t up to satisfaction.The order took such a long time.We enjoyed only mango cheesecake..

In this COVID situation, the management have done their best. Food was good. We ordered chicken meatballs soup, which was clear soup and tasty. Then spicy chilli lamb, schewan fried rice, Cantonese noodles and prawn gravy. All tastes great and quantity was abundant. Four stars for charging Rs70 for water.

Quite well established within the Bangalore food scene. The ambience is good along with the prompt service makes for a good package overall. Food is really good and portion sizes are quite ample. Good variety of poultry and meat items are available on the menu.Few of the dishes like spinach chicken really stands out.

This use to be one of the very few Chinese restaurants couple of decades ago but as time took its toll it’s quality started deteriorating so after a break and a well deserved makeover its back with a bang.The food was just how I remembered it great quality, huge portions and the pricing though might seem a little high is definitely at par considering the quantity served.Before I get to the food A special mention first to the absolutely incredible service provided, their hospitality was flawless and filled us with so much joy.While their food offerings are fast here are some of my favourites;Salt and pepper prawns: this was a perfect way to start my meal, pleasing to look at and tasted great.Crackling spinach with chicken : definitely my best dish here, I have always like crackling spinach and any place that serves this can guarantee me being a regular already.Prawns Sui Mai : another great dish, so subtle in flavour as it should be and absolutely fresh.Mixed meat fried rice: you’d think this to be just something you have as a given but honestly I don’t know how they do it but you can eat this just as is and it tastes perfect.Make sure to save some space for dessert as you would really want to try their ‘Mango Cheesecake’ surprisingly it’s one of the best ones in town.If you’re looking for spectacular service, Good food, great quality accompanied by huge portions I’d head here.

I visited the rice bowl after a gap of ten years. I really loved this place. Food is excellent and the quality of service is awesome. This should be one of the finest Chinese restaurants in the town. Ambience is is perfect. Best thing is the beer, which was perfectly chilled and crispy. Cant wait to visit this place soon.

My review is for takeaway. The food was packed well. This is one of the well known Chinese restaurant from decades. Chicken starters are the best and the spicy levels are perfect. Fried rice with chicken dishes tasted too good. Prawns dishes are must try. Most of the dishes tasted good. Will soon dine in, once there is relaxation in lockdown. Each dish will easily serve 2. Visited with friends and kids after long time. Food tasted good. But to serve a two course meal of starters/soup and rice/noodles, they took more than two hours.Kids were starving. Felt like we had starters for lunch and main course for snacks. Started at 2pm and when the main course was served it was 340. What a patheic service! Had to wait for 15 min even for a bottle of water, which theyve charged 70Rs per liter when the MRP is 20Rs.

Been there after 20 odd years, still has the same charm, except for the slow service, golden fried babycorn, springroll, haka noodles and veg fried rice, all fav of Chinese veg is still good.

Good food and good ambience.Unlike many restaurants this place is marked with silence and calmness. The staff and service is beyond satisfaction. A perfect place for family lunch/dinner.But the price are slightly higher. A glass of moctail/juice costs around 250.

Ordered for Tawa coconut chicken rice bowl for 124₹ via swiggy, can say the taste didnt disappoint me but the quantity delivered was a big shock. Its so less that even a light eater need minimum 2 bowls. Over all a descent try & wil order again next time.

The Rice Bowl used to be one of my favourites as a child and even till a few years back. Revisited this place after so long for the midnight buffet, but was quite disappointed.The staff was good and the service great, but the food (the buffet) was quite a let down. The food was rather tasteless and the spread wasnt great.

Good old Indian Chinese!While West is running everywhere to taste the new fad In-Chin the Rice Bowl serves one of the finest examples of it, that too being very cost effective. We have been here years back. Had to come back to try out after it underwent renovation.We tried the Tequila sunrise, Cosmopolitan, Mocktails Tender Litchi and Tornado twister. The drinks were quite authentic and tasted good.We tried the Lemon coriander veg soup and the Manchow Chicken soup. Loved the Veg clear soup. Manchow soup was not far behind. They have a whole gamut of starters and my favourite were the Crackling Spinach Chicken and Salt and pepper Prawns. The dumplings they serve are some of freshest and tastiest. Their chicken momos feels more like a main course with presentation, taste and quantity. Thought the Prawns Sui mai (open dumpling) was unique. Did try the Fried Tofu and have to admit they are doing their best to come close to authentic Chinese food. Thumbs up to you.The star attraction of the evening the Rice Bowl main course - The mixed meat fried rice,which has every meat in the menu. ( if you dont want a particular meat, please let them know )and like I said the portions are amazing. This was enough for 3 of us. As sides we ordered the Hoisin Chicken and Chilli Pork (signature dish). Simply delicious.For desert, recommend the Mango cheesecake. Probably the best in central Bangalore. Have to mention the service that made us so comfortable. Mr.Anupam was our server. Mr.Bryan the manager did check on us, and suggested their signature dishes. It was a lovely evening at the Rice Bowl for us and our palates.

Valet parking available. Though little upset initially, it was made up. Will come next time again keeping in mind about the staff constraints..When they saw I was disappointed they gave my son a free Brownie....Very good staff😃

Food is good. Worst on charges. Water bottle cost is 70, for a regular Bisleri water bottle of 20. Its not any special package. I agree to the fact. Charge additional, but not to this extent. I have experience dining from 5 star to a normal restaurant all across India. Worst of its kind. Service tax extra. Gst additional, you making your money by means of these. Why additional levy on customer on basic water bottle. Service either not that great. Really disappointed with the hospitality and hosting.

Best Chinese in Bangalore since past 30+ years

The Rice Bowl reminds one of the times when chinese food was celebrated as one of the best cuisines of the world, when times were simple and food even more so. The staff here are extremely courteous and concerned to give us the best possible experience. We were taken care by Anupam and Merci, who were very helpful and kind.The food is simply delightful. The vegetables are fresh,the dishes are heart warming! Keeping our taste in mind, the staff served some exquisite food, such as the Honey Chilli Chicken, Spinach Chicken, Chilly Prawns and Cantonese Noodles.The quantity is also excellent and absolutely value for money.All in all, The Rice Bowl is one of the best chinese restaurants in town and if youre looking for a good ambience and tasty food, this is the place youre looking for.

We reached their by 9.10 pm They said they are closing at 9pm while it says at 10.30 pm in their website we requested we are coming from far just to have food in their restaurant but they denied to take us just 10 mins late still not acceptable very disappointed will never visit again

I / friends / family have been visiting Rice Bowl from the time it was on Brigade road. Location changed and so did the management, but the quality of food and the quantity, remains uncompromised, which is why we still continue to visit this place. Very family oriented place and for those who can value their upbringing, can always indulge in trying out the liquor options. Would have given 6 star rating if they served draught beer, alas.The only hiccup is the parking availability.

Terrible tasting food. Just terrible. Slow service, so slow that you will lose your appetite. The roarside joints make more tasty Chinese food than here. The fried rice and noodles and chicken Manchurian were definitely old.

Very unhappy with the service and the food. As we are regulars here and now seeing this kind of a restaurant loosing its consistency like this is very unfortunate. The change is noticed repeatedly after the covid lockdown. If you want really authentic Chinese cuisine then Rice Bowl is the place. Located in Lavelle Road, this place offers valet parking. The ambiance is cosy and staff are very enthusiastic and helpful. The Tom Yang sea food soup was authentically Thai cuisine. The only surprise was Bacon wrapped Prawn, which was deep fried. Usually, I have had Bacon wrapped Prawn, which is not deep fried. The fried rice, fish gravy all tasted very good. To sum it all, it was a good experience and great food. Will surely revisit. By the way, Rice Bowl is one of the oldest restaurant in Bangalore and it still continues to uphold the legacy and authenticity.

The restaurant has been in Bangalore since ages and has always been a synonym for Chinese food in the city.. The decor of the restaurant is simple, clean and tidy.The restaurant is very welcoming and the stewards too take good care of the customers which is an added advantage. The food is totally authentic and is really tasty complimented by generous amount of food! Due to its sheer authenticity and taste, the hotel definitely deserves multiple visits.Overall a great experience and one must visit this place if you are around MG road and you desire to have good Mandrian food!

The best restaurant Near M G Road, the best Chinese I ever had. The quantity of the food is unbelievable🤩🤩, as one plate is sufficient for 4 members, will surely make each one full. Customer service is awesome 💓💓. They will choose the best dishes if one is confused with any. Ambience is also cool😍. Taste of the food is soooooo Good😘😘😘😘. They have a wide variety of desserts, which makes one crush on it🥧💘. One must pay a visit to it. I will guarantee you the best experience. They wont cheat you on quantity or bill, its damn reasonable when the quantity is concerned.
