This please was fantastic. It was so good and the food was so delicious that I actually messed up taking photos of the food. All I wanted was when the food arrived at the table was to taste it. The place is located on the main street so it’s very easy to locate they they have a valet service. It’s not a very big property but is decently sized the decor does give you a feeling you’re in the far east. As for the food it is just perfect! That day we started with Tom Yum soup and the duck preparation as a starter. Duck being authentically very chill repeat ended up being something extremely soft and very tasty. This is probably one of the best places I’ve had a duck in my life. After that we went for the dim sum and the dim sum was generally done with fresh vegetables and a proper amount of meat. Then we hit the main course we ordered some rice and noodles and of course a flurry of curries with Thai green and chicken redang curry.I was a little skeptical of how they would make the redang curry especially as there was no beef but it turned out to be amazing. The service is excellent and the waiters were explaining to us what each dish was made of which does make the choices easier. The place is on the expensive side but then again I think it’s value for money. I will definitely go back there!

I had been to Thai Chy a couple of days ago for dinner. Thai Chy serves Asian delicacies and heres how it went for me.Started off with Tom Kha Soup, a coconut spicy soup with chicken bits. I had a sore throat and this gave me a much-needed relief.Next up - we ordered Som Tam Jay, Chicken & Water Chestnut Sui Mai and Veg Crystal Dimsum. I love raw papaya salad and this place didnt let me know on that end - a little on the spicer side, but loved it! No complaints on the dimsums either, best paired with their sauces.By this time, we were quite full and took Chilli Chicken Bao & Veg Thai Basil Noodles. A bonus point for bao being fluffy while the noodles turned out to be a little oily, tasted good nonetheless. Finally, finished it with Coconut Panna Cotta with Berry Compote& Water Chestnut Rubies in Sweet Coconut Milk - this was a cherry on top.Def going back for Water Chestnut Rubies in Sweet Coconut Milk! Staff are friendly and suggest dishes based on your preference.

Review by our Team GhatotkatchaThailand in Bangalore! Thai cuisine or authentic Thai food is found very rarely in Ooru. Undoubtedly, Thai Chy has been one amazing place for a pure Thai meal and just not Thai curry and Jasmine Rice. Tucked away in the lanes of Indiranagar, Thai Chy has  a beautiful setup and soothing Asian ambiance with Budha sculptures and pleasant pictures form the countryside of Thailand. Thai Chy uses pure Asian Ingridients or rather say Asian brands of high quality and get the right flavour, seasame oil to shallots, dry mushrooms and spices galore.Well the food, we began with a Tom Kha and a Tom Yum soup. Tom Kha soup is more famous in Indonesia and Thailand, famous for the infusion of coconut milk in the broth, chicken and wheat grass with the coconuts, gives you a distinct flavour of sweetness and the use of Thai Bird eye chilli balances on the palate. A perfect start is what I can tell you! Tom Yum is when you prefer a clear soup; You can choose meat or vegetables adn the spice makes the magic later. You will probably not beieve in what I say next, the salads here are absolutely tasty and you can enjoy them. Yes, that is true. Som Tam was made with Perfection! Raw papaya, peanuts and sourness, every aspect balanced in the right way and given a perfect taste. The punded sourness is very well felt and that is how it has to be. Crispy Lotus stem is a bunch of awesomeness and cannot be missed here. Lotus stem is a very well used ingredient in Asian cooking. The stem is diced, shallow fried and tossed on a wok with red chilli based sauce of golden garlic, red onions and caramelised red chillies.Let us talk dimsums! Dimsums came to Thailand along the Chinese settlements in the Island, hundreds of years ago. The Chicken and Waterchestnut Sui Mai or dimsums is clear. Chicken is shredded and the use of slight spice is quite refreshing. Vegetable crystal dumplings are purple in colour because of the betroot, carrots and cabbage is stufeed and steamed. The sight of prawn dumplings entices your eyes.Who doesnt like a Bao? Here, the bao is stuffed with chicken, infused with a bit of the bird eye chilli, is just melt in mouth, there is a hint of local chillies to balance the taste.Thai Namprik Chicken! Namprik is a Thai spicy chilli sauce used all over Thailand, Indonesia adn Japan. This beautiful sauce is put to a good use here. Soft chunks of chicken is mixed well with chicken, tossed on the Wok! The Chilli oozes the flavour and the chicken would have lost the moisture, tossed again with bell peppers and basil, this is amazing. Shallots would have given a better flavour instead of the Onions, but it is fine. For main course, we had the vegetarian version of Nasi Goereng and this was pretty much Indianised. Panner was grilled well and served along. The sourness was a bit felt along the soy. Instead of choosing the traditional Thai curry which was exquisitely beautifyl from my previos visit, we had the Indonesian Redand Curry! Mutton was well cooked with coconut milk. Here mutton is used instead of beef and that really blended well. The flavours of of the spice is quite radiating. The dryness is preserved to make it authentic, it is served along jamine rice.Coconut panacota and Coconut milk with waterchestnuts cannot be missed for desserts.

Hi All!Last week I had the opportunity to visit Thai Chy along with my family. I had taken the lunch buffet and a dimsum platter there and it was incredible. The manager there, Mr Mushtaq was very gentle and with a smile went an extra mile to make our day! The crowd was a little less that particular day and he changed the buffet menu a bit and added 2 more cusines to it just for us!!Not that he added all these and so i am praising him, but the food quality was really good and very decent priced. Also the staffs there are pretty helpful. Overall it was a good experience for me. I will leave a few pics for the readers. Thank you!

I recently visited Thai Chy, a pan asian, Thai restaurant in the midst of Indiranagar on a friend’s recommendation. First of all, talking about the ambience, the restaurant is very cute, spacious and had great crowd, the choice of music was good too. The staff was very courteous and explained about every dish very nicely when asked. The food is a must try. I tried Thai food for the first time and I must appreciate it too. The food was tasty, Bong chilli paneer was my favourite among everything. Both of the desserts we tried were different and yummy too !!! If you put up near Indiranagar and want to go out to try something new out, this is where you should go right away. You won’t be disappointed 😍 This place is worth a try 😍

Craving for some exotic Thai and Asian Cuisine?? Thai Chy is the solution to satisfy your cravings. Located in the hustle and bustle of Indranagar, it is a medium sized restaurant with a sitting capacity of around 40-50 people at once. The decor is elegant with tables for different group sizes. The staff is humble and courteous.Being a fan of coconut, Tom kha was my choice in soups. It had a rich creamy flavour with a lot of veggies like mushrooms, carrots and aromatic lemon grass. Som Tam Jay is a great choice for salad. It is healthy as the main ingredient is raw papaya and yummy as it has a tangy taste with lots of peanuts. Dimsum platter lets you taste all varieties in one go. Veg crystal dim sum and Spinach corn cheese gau were my favourite in veg. They are soft and ready to melt in the mouth. Do try all the sauces served along with Dimsums as they enhance the flavours.Water chestnut is one of my favourite fruit both in raw or fried form. That made me opt for fried water chestnut and bamboo shoots starter. It is tossed with black pepper and lemongrass making it a simple yet delicious dish. We also tried pan fried noodles with Cantonese sauce but found it to be a bit bland. Wont suggest it if you are a spicy food lover.

This place is located extremely near to Indiranagar Metro Station thus making it very easy to reach this place. The ambience is good and cozy but seems more like a family restaurant. The music collection is good and not that loud.About the food - Well, we tried multiple food items, the best of them are listed below -1. Mocktails - Yellow Fellow is one of the best mocktail they have. Made with peach elder flower and lime.2. Soups - Tom Kha soup is the best one here. Made with coconut cream, it will definitely taste unique when you have it for the first time.3. Starters - They have a star studded collection of starters -a. Chilli Paneer Bao is a must try. Its the one in the photos that looks like tacos with a soft bread.b. Bong Chilli Paneer - The Paneer is soft. The masala is extremely lip-smacking.c. Crispy Chilli Potato - The potato wedges are very crispy indeed and again the masala coating is lip-smacking.d. Crispy corn chilli pepper - One of those corn items which everyone on the table would like. The chilli pepper masala is delicious.e. Dumplings - Tried their dumplings platter. You get 2 pieces of each variety. Its a must try for Dumpling fans.4. Main course -1. Thai Green Curry - One of the best in town. True authentic Thai taste. Served with steam rice.2. Hakka Noodles - Authentic plain Hakka Noodles . Tasted amazing.5. Desserts -1. Coconut panna cotta with berry compote - Wobbly and creamy coconut panna cotta served with a delicious berry compote. Must try.2. Lemongrass ceramic brulee - Cream Brulee topped with glazed lemon grass. Very very creamy. Must try this also.Overall review - Thai food here is amazing and delicious. Mocktails are also good. Its the food that really stands out. Must visit place for having Thai food.

A decent place which serves some flavorsome Asian cuisine. They have spacious interiors and ample number of tables. In starters, CRISPY LOTUS STEM drew its attention from us. It was crisp, brittle and thin; it had a balanced flavor. BAMBOO SHOOTS with WATER CHESTNUT was another noteworthy dish.TOFU CHILI was soft from inside and spicy from outside. It was indeed a explosion of flavors with every bite.Usually we dont order Bao, but here it was one of the finest Bao every had. The bun was very soft and the Paneer chunks with other ingredients went so well that it was finished in seconds. For main course, they suggested us to go with HONG KONG STYLE VEGETABLES WITH SESAME and KHAO PAO. The stir fry was filled with chucks of crisp veggies and the rice was apt for it.To end it we had some classic Panna Cotta and SWEET COCONUT MILK WITH WATER CHESTNUT RUBIES. A delightful way to end the meal with satisfying food.Cheers!! #BurpOutLoudly

I had recently visited Thai Chy along with a good friend of mine. The restaurant is quite easy to locate and there’s two wheeler parking but if you’re planning to get your car, you have to park elsewhere and walk down. The restaurant is dimly lit like any other Asian Restaurant. The seating is comfortable and spacious. The service was good, Mr. Joy took care of everything. We ordered the Thai Chy veg dim sum set to start the meal. It consists of 8 dumplings (two of 4 varieties). It included the mix vegetable dumpling, the veg crystal dim sum, the spicy soya dim sum and the spinach, corn and cheese dim sum. My favourite was the spicy soya. It had the right balance of flavours with a hint of spice and the soya wasn’t too rubbery or over cooked. The corn and cheese dim sum has a unique taste to it. It’s very subtle and on the sweeter side. The other two vegetable dumplings were quite mediocre as they were pretty bland. The spicy red dipping sauce was my favourite. The herby green sauce was refreshing. We moved on to the Chilli paneer bao which tasted like a paneer manchurian inside the bao bun. Bao bun is essentially a steamed bun. Taste wise, it was tasty. It had the essential sweetness, tanginess and spice. A little messy to eat but worth it.To finish the main course, we ordered the Malaysian Kwayteow which was flat rice noodles tossed with veggies like broccoli and bean sprouts and a sauce. This tasted good too.On the whole, it was a good experience. The food and service were both good and if you’re having zomato gold, your bill will be lighter on the pocket!

You can feel the authenticity! Spring roll, was too good! Loved their crispiness! This place had me as their fan from my first visit itself. I am a huge fan of Thai and pan Asian food. They have a great veg and non-veg spread. I love their dim-sums, and typical Thai basil rich starters and coconut based curries. I am still a huge fan of their Sri-lankan curry (which you all should try and paneer bao.Second aspect I like about them is their pricing, I find them very aptly and reasonably priced for the portions they serve. They dont just win you because of their food and pricing, they have an amazing staff too, true mark of quality service is not just courtesy, it also sharp memory. The staff remembered me upon my consequent visits even if there is a long gap between those visits, and it was such a delight.

I had been to this restaurant a few days ago with my friend. The restaurant is easy to locate as its on the main road. I walked to the restaurant as it was near to my learning academy then. The restaurants interior was calm as the walls spoke more of paintings and dim lit.Coming to the service, Mr. Joy took care of it very well. I was feeling very cold and asked him to adjust the ac and he did a very good job.To start with our meal we ordered Thai Chy veg dimsum which has 8 dumplings viz. Mix vegetable dumpling, veg crystal dimsum, spicy soya dimpsum and spinach corn and cheese dimsum. We liked the spicy soya dimsum which had the right flavors such as spiciness and soya was not rubbery and overcooked. The spinach corn and cheese dimsum were good too with a different taste. The rest of the dumplings were bland and oily. The red and green sauces were good enough to taste! I liked the green sauce.Next we moved to the chili paneer bao which tasted more like a paneer manchurian inside the bao bun. The bao bun was sweety tangy to taste and as it was the first time i had to eat with huge mess 😋😂. Otherwise the taste was good.Further we ordered Malaysian kwayteow which was flat rice noodles with veggies such as broccoli bean sprouts and all.Overall we loved the food and the service whicbbwas provided there. Food is symbolic of love and unites people. The Culinary world has no definite national boundaries but the elements of different world cuisines have a global influence in inspiring the gastronomy of a country. So now you needn’t book your flight or apply for visa in order to travel to a particular far off place to satisfy your cravings but just just hop, skip and jump in your local neighborhood to find the dish you are exactly looking for. Thai Chy is a relatively new restaurant opened on the posh district of Indiranagar. As the name aptly suggests it serves some exceptional and extraordinary Thai/ Pan Asian delicacies. This place will leave you with a smile no matter what your mood is and surely become immensely popular in the near future.Food- Fantastic. Impeccable Quality. Impressive Presentation. Mocktail drinks are splendid. My top pick is the Mandarin Feast which has a refreshing orange essence. To start off, raw papaya salad was Light and appetizing.Banana Leaf Chicken was Remarkable. Juicy, Marinated well to excite the palate.Chilli Chicken Bao was Commendable. Succulent, spicy and Perfectly done to melt in the mouth.Prawns in long beans were Incredible with an explosion of flavours. My favourite. Highly recommended. One delightful vegetarian item that I couldn’t stop munching on was the crunchy lotus steam.A special mention to the fabulous soft and delicious Dim Sum platter.I absolutely loved the Outstanding Thai Green Curry Prawns which was Rich in taste and texture.Noodles were unique and had superb seasoning. However the sauce of tamarind duck was too strong overpowering the meat which I though could be better. Garlic fried rice Was average and can be improved.Apple Fritters with blueberry compote and ice cream for desserts was brilliant. With the crispy and puffy deep fried outer layer and stuffing that had the right balance of sweetness, it was an outburst of goodness that was a pleasure to indulge in. This is a nice little South Asian joint in the restaurant hub of the city. Visited this place for lunch with a couple of friends on a Sunday. Nice and simple decor with very good Thai food at an affordable price is how I would define this place. The food here is very good and has quite a bit of variety. We ordered Baos, squids and dimsums for starters. The squids were a little hard and chewy but the dimsums and Baos were very good. I particularly loved the Baos. For mains we ordered Thai chy special noodles, fried rice, Thai ginger chicken, chicken grapow, Thai green curry and a couple of dishes and all of them were absolutely delicious. The best part is the affordability. The place is very cheap for the food it serves. Also, the service here is pretty good. The waiters take very good care of you.For desserts we ordered water chestnut rubies but they ran out of it so skipped dessert. All in all, it was a great experience. Would visit this place again and would definitely recommend it.

Newly opened restaurant beside Nagarjuna in Indiranagar. Came for a family dinner. Good food. The music played in the restaurant is really amazing. Our server Joy was very attentive and food was served on time. Loved the Tom Kha, is a must try at the restaurant. The honey sesame chicken can be a bit less sweet. The dimsum non veg combo was very good. Juicy and fresh dimsum. The green curry comes with a portion of rice. Quantity is sufficient for two persons.

A cute warm place in Indiranagar serving some delicious south east Asian delicacies. The interiors are minimalist yet welcoming. We started our meal by ordering some of the mocktails. I ordered for Chilly Tamarind Mojito. It was quite unusual but they had done a good job at it.Coming to the starters, I totally loved Spicy Lotus stems. They were crispy and a perfect combination of sweet and spicy.Another dish which I relished the most was Roasted Duck baos. Freshly steamed bao, filled with delicious roasted duck was a delight. We also tried some dimsums. I actually liked the vegetarian dimsums more than the chicken dimsums. They were simply delicious and anyone who loves Dimsums, should go there and try their variations. For Main course, we tried Prawns in Thai NamPrik Sauce and Malaysia Family Style Chicken. The prawns were a great hit on the table. Paired them with thai fried rice and totally relished the combination. I also liked Malaysian Flat noodles. For dessert, we ordered Water Chestnut Rubies with Coconut Milk. The dessert was not too great. It looked beautiful though but failed to impress us.The service was great and overall the meal was enjoyable. We had a nice time and will surely head back for the baos.

There is a saying the more you eat, the less favour, the less you eat the more favour Thai chy is one such place which provides you with excellent Thai food. I visited this place on a weekend for dinner along with my friends and loved their authentic Thai cuisine and presentation.🍄🥦🌶️🍖🍗🥩🥓🍲🥣🥗🍱🍘🍚🍣🍢🥗🍤🍡🍧🍨🍹🇦The ambience of the restaurant is pretty good. Seatings and lightings are pretty good. They can accommodate between 50-80 people at once.🇸Service at the restaurant is good too, the crew members are pretty well aware of what they are serving and are very courteous.🇫🍽️ What I ate ⁉️🥟Mix vegetable dumplings ➡️ I simply loved the detail presentation of dumplings. The dumplings inside the shell was cooked well too, but the presentation was the real winner. However I loved the non veg dumplings over the vegetarian.🐥Roasted duck bao ➡️ The rosted duck was grease and tasted amazing. I just loved the roasted duck meat which was cooked well. It had all the essence of the Thai cuisine.💮Lotus stem with honey chilly ➡️ The lotus stem was a conventional starter which was pretty average.🍗 Malaysian family style chicken ➡️ It was a nice mixture of butter, spices along with ginger on mostly the chicken breast. The quantity was pretty good and I loved it.🍖 Chilly chicken ➡️ This dish was truly spicy boneless chicken which was pretty juicy and tasted amazing.🍨Water chestnuts rubies in coconut milk ➡️ This dessert was pretty average, the chestnut rubies were pretty good, but felt that coconut milk was tad not upto the mark as a result of which the overall package became an average one.🍹Asian Mary ➡️ This mocktail was one of the best, it had a nice mixture of guava juice with pepper and lime extract along with masala in the circumference of the glass. It was perfect mocktail to gulp down. All in all Thai chy is one good restaurant if your looking for a Thai cuisine in Indira Nagar. Their presentation and service at the restaurant is remarkable.🇷📣 Recommended food📌Asian Mary 📌Chilly chicken 📌Roasted duck bao📌 Malaysian family style chicken

Superb and beautiful aromatic green tea that has a wonderful flowery fragrance and taste.Spicy raw papaya salad with cherry tomato: this was perfect and healthy starter I have ever had. Prepared with perfect amount of spices.Baby corn with roasted chilly paste: this is certainly a must try for vegetarians out there. Visited this place only to eat dimsums. Omg I must say they are pro at making dimsums.📍 The smart way to choose which dimsum you would further like to eat in a much better quantity is too first order the dimsum set. You get total of 8 dimsums (2 dimsums of different fillings). After this you can choose which is the most favorite and order only those 🤤🔸I tried out their veg dimsum set. Out of these 4 different fillings firstly I loved the 👇🔸Spinach corn cheese gau- 1st favorite,-This was so tasty, that we ended up ordering a separate dimsum set of these 🤤 ( White color) 🔸Veg crystal dimsum- 2nd favorite-This dimsum was so good. These dimsums were translucent filled with water chestnuts, vegetables, celery and shitake mushrooms. ( Red color) 🔸Third favorite- Mix vegetable dumpling. 🔸Spicy soya and basil dimsum- 4th favorite. I dont like it when food is too spicy. But for those who love spicy food this is the best choice. (Green color)🔸 Shanghai Chicken dimsum- this was also delicious. But I prefer veg dimsums.✔️ Must try veg assorted dimsums, spinach corn cheese gau dimsum, veg crystal dimsum❤️✔️ Courteous staff.✔️ Zomato gold on food.(1+1)

Thai Chy was the recent delectable find for us last weekend based on recommendation of a friend, who is a connoisseur of South East Asian food. At a walkable distance from the Indiranagar Metro station, and located on the double road next to Nagarjuna, Thai Chy is a must visit place for authentic & flavoursome Thai & South East Asian food.I was wondering if the name Thai Chy had its origins from Thailand & Chinese and couldn’t hold asking the question to the manager, who responded in affirmative. Manager in-charge suggested that “Thai” signifies the existence of Thai cuisine as the main component of menu and “Chy” to the existence of Chinese and other South East Asian cuisine. He further alluded that the management has crafted the menu to fulfill the desire of local Indian palate, ensuring that they do not lose the authenticity of the dishes as well. With a very simplistic decor and warm lighting, the place is gifted with a perfect environment to spend quality evening with friends & family. Warm lighting, pastel shades of interiors, light cream colored wooden tables & chairs, and greyish wall sofas endow a perfect setting to the place. On top if these, the Buddha paintings on walls blend perfectly well with the South East Asian theme and decor, also providing an overall soothing and authentic feel to the place. We decided to start our Thai Chy journey with an order of refreshing mock tails and a few starters. Must say the menu is very exhaustive with a wide range of carefully selected options from Pan-Asia. We decided to order a Mandarin Feast & Watemelon & Mint Mojito in drinks. From the wide choice of available appetizers and salads, we ordered a ‘Som Tam’, ‘Thai Chy Special Veg Dim Sum Platter’, ‘Chilly Garlic Lotus Stem’ & ‘Banana Leaf Tofu’. Having been to Thailand & a few other South East Asian countries myself, can vouch for the authentic flavors in the dishes that were reminiscent of the food I have had during those visits. ‘Som Tam’ is the Thai authentic spicy raw papaya salad prepared with cherry tomato, long beans and peanuts. ‘Thai Chy Special Dim Sum Platter’ was a delight and comprised of Spicy Soya & Basil Dim Sums, Crystal Vegetable Dim Sums, and Spinach & Corn Cheese Dim Sums. The ‘Chilly Garlic Lotus Stem’ was more on the sweeter side (resembling more like honey) and seemed to be apt for the Indian-ised Chinese palate. On special demand, the Chef prepared the ‘Banana Leaf Tofu’ for us (a vegetarian alternate to a similar dish they offer in Chicken), marinated with Sambal Oelek (which is a blend of chilies, garlic, ginger and lemon grass - a staple in Malaysian & Thai cooking) and tasted so delicious & fresh. In mains, we went with the basics and ordered a ‘Thai Green Curry with Boiled Rice’, ‘Garlic Fried Rice’ with Broccoli’, accompanied with a ‘Stir Fry’ comprising of assorted mushrooms, tofu & broccoli tossed with garlic soya sauce. The highlight of the experiential food journey were the desserts which comprised of an ‘Apple Fitters with Blueberry Compote & Ice Cream’ & ‘Guava Chilly Ice-Cream’. Not exaggerating even a little to say that both of the desserts are one of the best desserts I have had in my entire life. The Apple Fitters were so delectable, fresh and light and the Guava Ice-Cream with a tinge of red chilly was an amazing “Thai Chy” special as well.A must visit place in Bangalore for a super awesome and authentic Thai & Pan-Asian experience !!

What a place!!If you are done trying the same cafes/Indian restaurants and your taste buds are craving for something different then this is the place for you. Also if you think that and Indonesian cuisine are not meant for you, trust me once and try this place and you wont regret going here.We started with basil and cucumber ice tea, which has chilli, cucumber and basil in it and was yummy. The watermelon mint mojito was also nice. They have a variety in mojito , so order according to your taste buds. For starters we ordered papaya salad, chilli lotus stem which is a must try for vegetarians (was not overly sweet, perfectly made), baby corn in roasted chilli paste and prawns in long beans. All the dishes just won my heart and tummy 😂😍 dimsums were quite obvious good this being a pan Asian place :)STAR OF THE EVENING : chilli chicken bao, you have to try this, if you are not in a mood to have a full meal, go and try their baos, which are amazingly good.Note: for all the folks who have not tasted baos, start it from Thai Chy :)Finally we ended the roller coaster of our pan Asian journey with Apple fritters and Jasmine tea 😊😍..Kudos to team Thai Chy , you guys are doing an amazing job!!

Thai cuisine my current favourite now.The aromatic flavour, the strong edge of ingredients and the exact spice makes me crave anyday. So been to this place with foodie friends.Thai Chy located at the double road stage 2 Indiranagar. The ambience was perfect for dining with a open drinks counter and the walls with portraits of a Chinese girl welcoming, the buddha and dragon.we started with a drink.1) Mandarin twist : The drink was so refreshing and went perfectly with food, had two of these.2) Veg dumplings : The finely chopped veggies stuffed inside with a little garlic and ginger flavour, one can easily love to have.3) Roasted duck Bao: OMG, this was so delicious. Tried Duck for the first time and lost. The roasted duck with chilli paste and basil was absolutely yum. MUST HAVE HERE.4) Lotus stem with honey chilly: Lotus stem with flour tossed and fried to crisp and garnished with sesame seeds. Best appetizers for vegetarians to start.5) CHILLY CHICKEN : Not a regular chilly chicken we have in our desi hotels, this was batter fried chicken tossed with chilli sauce and dried dandi cut red chillies with peanuts to crunch.6) Water chestnut rubies in sweet coconut milk with crushed ice : Got confused first by seeing the chestnut I thought they were litchi. The COCONUT milk flavour was so satisfying.

The chef offered a Mandarin cooler that he whipped up to cleanse the pallet and refreshing cucumber drink. You should try the digestive candied ginger that come just before the bill!!! A pleasant experience overall. Theres more on the menu that I will definitely go back for.If you happen visit, Ranjith is the guy to talk to! :)

One of the many south east asian restaurants in Indira Nagar, but it does stand out on its own. I loved every bit of food we tried here. We started our meal with the drinks, got the Asian Mary which was an ever spicer version of the Bloody Mary we are use to and it was amazing.Being a hardcore Non Vegetarian we did not try too many of the veggie options. For appetizers we got the Pan Fried Chicken & Chicken Pot sticker, soft on the outside and succulent on the inside. The other thing we got was the Roasted Duck Bao and it was brilliant as well and probably the best dish of the evening. Some of the other starters we tried were the Chilli Chicken & the Lotus Stem in Honey Chilli Sauce. Chilli Chicken was pretty nice but it was the lotus stem which was such a surprise and totally amazing. For Mains, we got the Prawns in Thai Nam Prik Sauce, Malaysia Family Style Chicken, Malaysian Flat Noodles & Thai Fried Rice. Prawns were to die for and the rice and flat noodles paired well with it. Malaysia Family Style Chicken was too strong a flavour for my liking and did not like it much.Dessert was a bit of a disappointment, we ordered the Water Chestnut Rubies with Sweet Coconut Milk. This looked like a picture perfect dish, but the taste was pretty bland and texture of the chestnut was not something I was use to, hence it could differ for others.Overall, I really liked the meal and would be going back for much more in future.

I dropped in at Thai Chy recently for dinner, along with a bunch of friends. This is a new Thai food place in Indiranagar, and we wanted to check it out. We werent disappointed. This eatery is located in Indiranagar, but slightly away from all the popular hotspots like Burma Burma, Bombay Brasserie, Sly Granny, et al. It wasnt difficult to locate at all. Valet parking is available, which definitely makes life in Bangalore easier. There are a lot of Asian foods and desserts on offer at Thai Chy, a lot to choose from for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Thai cuisine is the mainstay here. Here is what we tried out.Thai Mushroom Satay: This satay was very well done, the mushrooms well-marinated and perfectly grilled, the Thai flavours coming across beautifully. I loved this one!Thai Paneer Satay: I found this satay decent. The paneer was very soft and well marinated, but taste-wise, it wasnt as lovely as the mushroom satay.Vegetarian Tom Yum Soup: I absolutely loved the vegetarian version of the Tom Yum Soup here - it was just brilliant! The soup was the right amount of salty and sour and spicy for me, and I happily slurped up every bit of it.Raw Mango Salad: The Raw Mango Salad here was lovely too, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was just the right blend of spicy, salty, sour and sweet, perfectly balanced.Raw Mango Panna: I opted for this drink from the extensive mocktail menu at Thai Chy, and was quite happy with it. It was very well made - raw mango juice perfectly blended with Indian spices, and I loved it to bits.Spicy Soya Basil Dimsum: These dimsums were just about okay, in my humble opinion. The soya filling could have done with a bit more flavour. The outer covering could have been thinner and less chewy.Lotus Stem Honey Chilli: This was one of my most favourite starters at Thai Chy! Thinly sliced lotus root deep-fried and tossed in a spicy-sweet honey-chilli sauce - whats to not love?Khao Phad: This Thai fried rice was strictly okay. It was quite bland, and I felt it could have done with some more flavour.Hong Kong Vegetables: We tried this dish out with the Khao Phad, and quite liked it. Assorted vegetables were stir-fried and cooked in a sauce flavoured with soya and sesame - this was well done and delicious.Phad Thai: These Thai-style noodles were really well done, and I absolutely loved them! These sweet-and-sour noodles cooked with peanuts, tofu and bean sprouts was just lovely - highly recommended!Ohn No Khao Swe: This classic Burmese dish was very well done at Thai Chy, and I loved it to bits. With a slightly tangy taste to it, the coconut milk broth was simply awesome!Coconut Panna Cotta: This dessert was strictly okay. The coconut panna cotta was jiggly, just the way it should be, but it seemed to lack any real taste. The berry compote it was topped with was tangy and quite nice, though.Tub Tim Krob: This is a traditional Thai dessert, with water chestnut jelly rubies served in sweetened coconut milk, with a few pieces of lychee. This was very well done, a simple yet classy dessert that I enjoyed. The crushed ice the dessert is served with could have been avoided, though, as it tends to melt and dilute the coconut milk in a while.Chocolate Brownies with Vanilla Ice Cream: This has always been a classic combination that I have loved. At Thai Chy too, I liked this combination. This is a good place to visit with your family and friends, to try out the diverse Asian cuisine, especially Thai food. The quality and taste of the food is great, considering the reasonable prices they offer. Service could have been a bit proactive, but there were no real complaints.

I have been to multiple Pan Asian cuisine restaurants and have always been let down. So I did not have any high expectations when I came here. But boy oh boy did I enjoy myself. We were suggested a started name Malaysian Prawns or something. DELICIOUS would be an understatement. It was some of the best Prawns Ive ever had! It wa sad that the quantity was so less because I wanted more! Then we proceeded to order three different dishes and shared it all among ourselves. All three dishes were amazing. I also enjoyed the Nasi Goreng which I last enjoyed in Malaysia so it brought back memories. Overall the food here is authentic, very tasty and the main courses are good in quantity. Despite the starter quantity being less the overall taste and experience make me settle for a 5 star. Do visit this place!

Being vegetarians and not experts on South Asian cuisines, and also going out with a 6 year old, we were not sure on what to order but the staff were very helpful in recommending less spicy items suitable for kids. Most of items we ordered were delicious especially Tom Kha soup, Crispy Vegetable Kanjeenaro and Cambodian Yellow Curry. Nasi Goreng was just ojay. In desserts, Coconut Panna Cotta with Berry Compote was just mildly sweet but a perfect end to meal. I would give Thai Chy 4.5 out of 5.
