I love idlis, we make excellent idlis at home but I had heard a lot about the idlis from @iyeridly and I decided to give it a try on Friday!The idlis came neatly packed with the @iyeridly tag on the packaging... everyone at home loved the idlis...soft yet firm!👌@iyeridly is also known for its thick 🔥 chutney that goes with the idlis...it was nice but I was expecting it to be more pungent!😋The vadas, khara bhath and kesari bhath were amazing too!😋Very prompt and courteous service from the owner Krishnan Mahadevan...very articulate and clear instructions! The place attracts queue on any given day. Idlis are good. But Somehow dont understand all the hype for the place. 90% of the places have nice idli. May be I am unaware of the legend of the place. But not worth losing time at the place. Just to tick the box , one can visit it.

The idli and vade along with the chutney here is perfect for a good breakfast. Usually the later you go you ll have stand in a queue but they serve pretty soon so it is fine.

Fantastic piping hot idly served here, with tasty chutney. The taste gets better with every bite. This is a comfort food, keeps your tummy real happy! Theyve new addition to their menu as well, one should definitely give them a go.

This is a very good place with limited menu. Chatni is little bit spicy than the normal chatni which you find, which is very good

Decent place, not the best Idlys I’ve had though, their chutney tastes really good. One of few issues is the spice level of their Chutney is very inconsistent. On 1st serve you get get really tasty and spicy one, the moment you go for 2nd serve it’ll be all bland and tasteless.

Iyer idly serves one of the best idly’s in Bangalore. The idly’s are served piping hot which are very soft and fluffy. A must visit place for all the idly lovers.I also request the customers to exercise CAUTION before placing an order through DUNZO as there were a couple of times where the food was delivered from a different restaurant to me.Please do accept only those packages which have the sticker of “ iyer idly “.this is a small step taken by the restaurant towards authenticity of the product.Happy eating.

Iyer idly is familiar for its mushy idly. This place is a quick eatery and serves lots of idlys per day.Idly just break like a sponge and gets soaks in chutney. Every bite of idly is heaven. You feel like, you are tasting butter. Chutney is quite spicy, but goes really good with these idlys.Max 3 people can stand and eat inside this eatery. However, people stand on footpath or on the road and savor these idlys.They follow two queues, one for takeaway and another to savor there itself. Many people prefer for takeaway, though few people prefer to eat there.Price is pocket friendly. They are open during evening time as well. They have extended their menu, by adding udin vade. I have not tried, but sure in some day.Altogether, a great place for great idlys!!Note: Due to COVID-19, kindly visit if you feel safe. Wear mask and carry sanitizer.

Iyer Idly used to be my favourite breakfast spot when I was residing at Vignan Nagar. Thanks to their piping hot idlies and spicy chutney, their food have always been flying off the shelves and you can always trust them to serve fresh and hygienic food. Recently, they have introduced Vadas, Kara Bath and Kesari Bath. And, I am a big fan of their crispy and hot vadas. Even though I currently live at a place 12 kms away from the shop, I continue to order from Iyer Idly at least once a week via Swiggy Genie. The owner is very friendly and accomodates our requests while packing the order!I hope Iyer Idly opens many branches across the city so that everyone gets to taste their awesome food!

Best pocket friendly eatery in the surrounding.One thing to take note while ordering from apps, please use Swiggy only. Having tasted their dishes two weeks in a row, I once ordered from Dunzo and was doubtfully surprised to see sambar and red chutney given which was stale and almost spoilt. When i called Mr. KRISHNAN to talk regarding this issue, I learned that the order I received was from another restaurant and he has been receiving a few complaints of the same nature where Dunzo guys used to pickup food from another restaurNt to save their delivery expense. I was also directed to their Instagram post addressing the same.Cheap move by the Dunzo guys and very very shocking.If ordering from Dunzo, please look out for the navy blue stickers on your packets to make sure you are receiving the order from Iyer Idly.

With lots of hopes and excitement I visited this eatery after seeing it on a Food Blogger review show. But I felt that there is nothing but the hype on the social media. The chutney they served was so diluted that I didnt feel the essence and flavours of chutney. Upon approaching the workers there, they said they give thick chutney only for parcel and though I requested them, they didnt give me some chutney. They said if they give it to me other patrons would also ask.. The workers were so arrogant and their owner was just a silent spectator though he was around. They should be ashamed of themselves for this act. I would not suggest this place to someone who wants to have authentic Idli.

Attitude of the hotel people is too worst. You need to eat on the hotel person decision not how much u feel to eat. Pls avoid as the idli quality is also not upto the mark.

Idly is a big let down, it was sour bcos of the batter being old. Vada is ok. Khara bath is ok. Kesari bath is good. They serve only chutney. No sambar. Overall its an ok place. I must mention, despite the crowd the people who serve are customer friendly

I know a lot of you might disagree with me but this is what I feel that this place is over hyped. Of course the idlies are fantastic in its form, however, the whole character of the idly is enjoyed with its accompaniments but your options for that is limited to just chutney. And I hear most of you talk high about the chutney but maybe it was runny when I tried it and the person at the counter refused to give the thick version of it even when I was ready to pay extra for the chutney. Any comments for my opinion is welcomed.

Definitely a good competitor for Brahmins cafe.Pros :1. Good soft idlies.2. Yummy coconut chutney.3. People who serve / owner is very polite and professional.Cons :1. very small shop road side. Lot of dust around.2. Over crowded and long wait time for getting your plate served.3. Only 4 chairs to sit. Mostly one will end up standing and eating.4. Self service. Once you are done with 3 idlies which comes on one plate, you need to wait again in queue with dirty hand.

The family owned business makes the freshest tasting idlies around. The combination of the chutney and the idly makes it worthwhile in the line before you get to your turn to buy the idli. Their vadas are unpopular but yet simply amazing. The experience would have been better to enjoy the steamingly hot idlies pre covid at the venue.The venue is hidden from the main Street so pay attention but you will recognise by the crowds waiting in line to get their mornings started with a homely tasting idlies.

The food served here has the authentic taste of iyer household food preparations, its healthy and the taste is heavenly . The idlis are soft, fluffy and when eaten with the spicy chutney it just makes you crave for more. The new additions to the menu like vada, kesari bath were equally good.

My go to place for breakfast, even if it means travelling that extra 7 kilometres before 8 am. My favourite spot right now for a morning munch!

As usual, the idli chutney combo here is the ultimate comfort food experience one can have outside of home. However, I have one grouse and thats growing by the day. Idly is good. I had wada also which I enjoyed well than idly. Unfortunately we missed the other dishes as we reached here post 10:30 a.m. If anyone dont want to miss the other dishes, then better reach a bit early.

Heard a lot about this place and looking at the crowd here I was curious and ventured to find out what the fuss was about. The idlys are really soft but are the kind that stick together, the vada is soft on the inside and crispy on the outside and is really tasty which is served with a very thick chutney which is extremely spicy I usually water it down to keep the spice of the chilli in control. The idly and vada both cost ₹10 each. Overall taste and quality of the food is top notch but the lack of a sambar or gravy is a bummer for Sambar lovers. Do go as early as possible to avoid waiting in a long line of hungry customers!

Humble idli paired with a simple yet tasty coconut+ Chutney. Vada is simple fluffy udin vade witha touch of curry leaf and peper corns do pack a punch. The latest addition is the chow chow bath. The Khara bath had a nice sprinkle of veggies and had perfect consistency. The Kesari bath had perfect taste but had a slightly sticky texture.

Dont know why this is so much hyped. They serve just like others. Didnt find anything much difference in taste.

They offer only chatni with Idly, I like to have sambhar also.Better to carry your vessels for carrying Idli and Chatni. Also there is a big queue which will take at least 20-30 minutes before you get your turn.

Hi IYER IDLY team,sorry for the 2 stars , i really love your idlies and vadas ,ill give 5 out of 5 for the taste infact 6 if i can but the one thing that hurts me is your price ,10rs for one idly is ideal as thats true ,since most the people in that locale are IT croud is no big deal for them to pay that much but there are some POOR PEOPLE who buy from your shop ,so considering them you can reduce your price of IDLY and VADA price to 7 or 8 ,please dont take me wrong but just a humble request and the VADA for 10rs the vada should be slightly bigger I feel , I HOPE you will consider my feedback

Drool worthy idly. The idly is so soft that it falls on its own weight. Mildly spiced chutney paired with idly rejuvenates taste buds. Do try it out early in the morning for next level experience.

Idly are good but without sambar

Really good quality food. The menu is really simple with only 3 items - idly, vada and chutney. All are really tasty. Not the best idly vada Ive tasted but it certainly is one of the top 5. Its really popular in the area and the shop is open for only few hours in the morning/evening so expect a large crowd and long queues. There is no seating place so if youre in for a quick bite youll need to stand on the footpath which is why I prefer takeaway. Best option for a Sunday breakfast!

Healthy, tasty, clean and maintains same quality for years.

Idlys were a little bit sour, could not enjoy the taste. The staff was rude about thick chutney too. I think the success has slowly getting to their heads. Morning ride all the way there was a disappointment!

This place has the best idly and vadas... Loved it... But however its ok to go once in a while unless you are a idly lover.. else its ok...
