This place is owned by the same house of restaurants as Farzi Cafe next door, so went in with expectations as high. And it did not disappoint! The food was excellent, perhaps one of the best Thai places in town, and my only complaint would be that it didn’t have the amount of innovativeness I was expecting it to have given its modernist Asian philosophy. And the ambience if the restaurant of course looked too much like a make shift arrangement and perhaps left quite a lot to be desired, especially given where it’s located. Overall a nice place if you’re looking for some really good Thai and Chinese- even the prices are reasonable enough compared to other restaurants located in star properties.

Went there with a group of 8 for a brunch. We were told about the different packages and we chose the premium package costing INR 3600 each.We were not happy at all with the way we were served. Each time you want something you need to keep looking around until you find a waiter as if you are searching . Though we were sitting right in front of the bar each drink would take 15 min to come after ordering . This is atrocious or maybe it’s a technique to slow down the liquor since it’s a package. We were there at 1.00 pm but by the time we were served main course it was 5.00 PM. Not that there was many courses or many dishes they simply don’t have an idea on how to run a brunch package served on table.Food wasn’t particularly bad, but very average. Not the authentic style cuisine you’d expect at a luxury hotel.Lastly, let’s not to forget to mention the accumulating used glasses and starter plates that were not cleared up leaving the table to look messy.Overall, a very bad experience. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this place if there isn’t a change in terms of service.

Bo Tai is added to my list of favorite places in Bangalore now. The place is amazingly decor with a mix of indoor and outdoor and lots of greens, the ambiance is 5 star as expected from JWMarriot and the decor adds up to it more..!!Now coming to the main thing that is the food. I just loved the food here. My personal favorites are:**Braised escalopes of lamb, palm sugar, Shallots**Beijing style prawns**Barbecue spare ribs - best in town**Belgian chocolate tart, coffee mousseHonestly speaking all the food I ordered actually tastes great. The best part of this place is along with the 5 star ambiance it cost reasonable like any other fine dine, which makes it best for everyone to go.The drinks were also extremely nice specially the half moon festival..!! The presentation is super amazing and the taste is just so smooth..!! Need to try this for sure.

Birthday celebrations need to be special and we choose to celebrate at Bo tai this time. We thought it were a part of JW Marriott but its actually a stand alone restaurant right next to Marriott. A great places for celebrations like these with good music and food. The menu is vast with a variety of veg and non veg dishes. I would recommend:- the Avocado salad- the purple dimsums- the corn curdThe food was nonetheless delicious. The only issue was with the waiter who served us. He was sweet to check upon us every now and then but it was a little too intruding for us because he would not even let us choose our menu.

It was a horrendous experience dining at Bo Tai at J W Marriotfor lunch. The service was lousy. No staff paid attention. The orders were placed online at the restaurant after scanning the QR code. They served few starters and then it took them 2 hours to serve the balance starters and the main course. The entire experience of going and dining at a 5 star restaurant was ruined by the lousy service and lack of attention from the staff. They first cited system problem for the delay in serving, citing that the order did not go thru. My contention was in that event their staff should have checked with the guests. Then the Operations Manager cited lack of staff for the delay. My view was if they had less staff, then they should have limited the no. of guests if it had reached peak capacity. The staff apologised, but they need to understand that it has messed up with someones experience and their emotions. I will never recommend anyone to visit this Bo Tai restaurant. While I was waiting for 2 hours for the starters and main course, I was generally observing around and I never saw an instance of the staff, supervisors and the Owner connecting with the guests. They did waive off the service charge, but they need to understand that the moment is bygone. I

Bo Tai, in JW mariott bengaluru which is situated in an open area has an amazing ambience and good seating capacity. They serve pan asian cuisine with amazing variety of cocktails.I tried their full moon cocktail which is now my favorite from their menu, decorated with edible flowers, its just amazing. Other than that the naga fire ball cocktail which is closed and smoked to attain a smoky flavor is also one of the must try. You can also try the cool heart cocktail which is served in a pineapple fruit shaped glass. For food, we were first served the charcoal chicken dumplings which was just amazing. Very fine flavours. Then I also tried the veg pizette which is made like a pizza slices which thin bread, cheese and sauces. Perfect place to visit anyday after work to relish their cocktails

Bo-Tai located in JW Marriott, Lavelle Road is winning hearts for its sophisticated modern Thai and Chinese cuisines served and also for the beautiful ambience. Their Al-fresco seating under the 200-year-old tree is soul-soothing. You don’t feel like you are actually sitting in a 5-star property. The surprising part comes when they present you with the menu which I would call β€˜affordable luxury’.Bo-Tai’s bar menu is done by a team from London and the bespoke cocktails served are treat for your senses, both visually and flavor-wise. β€˜Full Moon Festival’ – a cocktail inspired by the popular Thai festival Loi Krathong is made of Beefeater, Strawberry and rose syrup, inhouse spiced vermouth, grapefruit, spiced orange syrup, pandan tincture, lime, and edible flowers.Bo-Tai’s food menu is brilliantly done. We started our beautiful afternoon with Preserved Raw mango, Avocado salad which was so refreshing. One of the best Avocado dishes I had recently. The Raw Mango, soft shell Crab is something you shouldn’t miss if you love Crab. Being a Keralite, I love the way they garnished a few dishes with fried coconut pieces. Other interesting appetizers from the menu are – β€˜Corn curd pepper salt’, β€˜Crystal Radish Dumplings’, β€˜Beijing style Prawns with Lantern Chillies’, β€˜BBQ Pork Spare ribs’ and β€˜Crystal Pork Dumplings’. Each dish served with different fried toppings and this added an extra oomph factor to the delectable dishes. For the main, I tried Stir-fried noodles with Duck Massaman curry and Tofu in Thai Basil sauce. The noodles had such immense flavors, it didn’t really need any side dishes. They served us some piping hot Jasmine rice with β€˜Thai Green curry’ and β€˜Grilled Snapper with Chilli Jaggery and lime’. The Grilled Snapper was amazing. After a wonderful meal, it was time for desserts and we tried their β€˜Coconut CrΓ¨me Brulee’ and β€˜Chocolate Tart’ (They should name this 50 shades of Chocolate :P ). I really enjoyed every tiny bit of the beautifully presented, lusciously rich desserts.Overall I had a great great time at the newly launched Bo-Tai. I will surely visit again for some of my favorite dishes.

Bo Tai - JW Marriott - a fine dining Chinese and Thai cuisine place. The ambience is totally serene and the table set up is so beautifully done. It makes the place so perfect for outings. Was greeted well by the staff with happy face and was assisted to the table. The place is known for its cocktails and food. For food has ordered for two vegetarian dishes – Avocado Salad and Pizza. The avocado salad needs a special mention. The tangy and crunchy taste really caught my buds. The thin crust pizza was perfect along with the cocktails. The Cocktails which were tried were made in a very fashionable way. The ingredients of the drinks were all original and natural. The best cocktail was Full Moon Festival which was made of Beefeater Gin, Strawberry Rose Syrup, Spiced Orange Syrup, Lime and Flowers. It looked beautiful and also was smooth in taste and gives a slight high. The drink named Naga Fireball was made with Chivas 12 years, Cold brew coffee ginger, thai red syrup and smoke. The making was really fascinating and the Chivas tasted really good to the buds. Its goes perfectly with the vibe of the place. This is slightly on hard and will give you a good start for sure. The other cocktail which I tried was Cool Heart which was made of beefeater Gin, Pineapple, Thai Green Syrup, Lemon &Tonic. The drink looked quite appealing and can be enjoyed by people who like fruity taste to their cocktails.Overall my experience was good and I am surely coming back for the ambience and great cocktails. The music played too was rocking.

Located on the Lavelle Road, Bo-Tai is a Chinese and Thai bar and grill restaurant which is opened on the ground floor of JW Marriott. It has a beautiful indoor as well as green outdoor seating with two huge bar areas. I visited this place on a Friday afternoon to have lunch with few of my friends. We started with some amazing cocktails which were a blend of some unique mixers and alcohol and I must say they were prepared strong enough. I tried the Naga Fireball which has a base of Chivas 18 years and a mix of chili and coffee, have this only if you like a bitter side in your drinks. Another interesting cocktail that I liked was the Temple Of The Lion with the base of house rum and vermouth, Thai red syrup and lime to go along.Heading to the starters, we tried a mix of veg and non-veg items among which the Corn Cake Sliders were the best, so soft and perfectly spiced. The Crispy Caramelized Thai Prawns and the Braised Escalopes of Lamb were other few must try starters here. For the main course, we had Vegetable Pad Thai, Red Thai Curry with jasmine rice which was again very delicious leaving a great taste on our palettes.Ending our lunch with the desserts, we had the oh-so-yum Belgian Chocolate Tart and the best Coconut Creme Brulee ever. :P

Otherwise, the classic Tiramisu is always there to relish on.The quality of the food, drinks and the ambience of this place, its worth to spent your bucks on here. The staff are courteous and kind.

This place is inside JW Marriott but not connected to the hotel πŸ˜„, try figuring that one out. We ordered the signature salad with arugula, avocados, etc. My fellow diners really liked it but I thought it had a bit too much dressing, but it tasted good nonetheless. For dinner we ordered Mala chicken, a dish made with soya chaap (sorry forgot the name) and fried rice. The chicken was decent, had a good smoky sauce and the rice excellent. However the soya chaap dish was too spicy and didnt particularly stand out. Maybe if it wasnt so spicy we could have tasted the other flavors. The staff were friendly and attentive. Im surprised some of the reviews mentioned unfriendly staff. I think the owners have a bunch of other high end places in Delhi and Mumbai. Anyway to make up for the spicy dish they gave us free desserts, first they were terrific and even more so because the staff wanted us to have a good time. But make sure you wear pants, I was in shorts so I had to go back to my room to change. Id definitely recommend the place for dinner!

I was looking at a few dining options around town to take a few out of towners to, chanced upon Bo Tai at the JW Marriott and the menu looked like something i would enjoy.I was not entirely sure of the ambience. When we landed at the place - it was mostly alfresco and i dont really enjoy alfresco any more - since the weather is so unpredictable.Unfortunately Eazydiner had hogged the closed seating and we were left to the alfreso area only. Only then did i realize the alfresco area is bang adjacent to the main road and a cursory swipe of the hand showed how dusty the place was. There was no chance for us to get inside and everyone else who came after us made do with that we had.For a 5 star property or for a property in a 5 star, the service was very patchy. Bo Tai may be new in BLR but it comes from Zorawar Kalras stables so ide expect standards which were absent yesterday - forget about meeting them. A lot of flagging down of wait staff to take orders was happening. Clearly EazyDiner was getting better attention at our cost.As the night progressed there was gentle breeze and the lounge music track list was pretty nice , it did help build the mood to a certain extent. For starters - we ordered frangible mushrooms πŸ‘πŸ» , chicken gyoza, chicken satay , crispy prawn with caramelised thai mango πŸ‘πŸ», with baked avocado and stuffed crab tartare.I also ordered a Pom tam cola - this is a liquid version of Rola Cola from Parle - pomegranate - tamrind - housemade thai red syrup - lemon - cold brew coffee. It seems wierd but it gives you a very happy high.... For mains we just had stir fried noodles and chicken in butter pepper garlic. The mains very extremely subtle and πŸ‘πŸ» For Desserts it was Kabocha custard with mango ice cream and coconut creme brulee. Kabocha is a japanese squash - roasted Kobacha with warm spices is apparently thing in Japan. However in the Luru, it paired well with the Mango ice cream. The coconut creme brulee , was well - very flatBo Tai for me left a lot to be desired.

Bad quality food.Really disappointed by the experience. From the service to the food. The servers seemed to be talking straight off a pre decided script. The responses to questions seemed scripted so anything off the script was met with a totally off centered response. Also our server would get uncomfortably close to the individual while talking.Just the presentation was good of both the food and the cocktailsThe food gave us a stomach upset. We were 4 of us, and all 4 had a bad stomach the next day. And I for one have a really tough stomach.Bo-tai was the only common meal we had had in the last 24 hrs and the next 15 hours at least. Then there was a problem with the card machine and it wasnt accepting visa cards and the owner was asking us how we intented to settle despite it being their machines fault. It didnt accept 3 different cards that had been used just upto a half hour back and we used again. So they reluctantly sent someone to their other restaurant (Farzi) to get a machine. It magically worked.Bad attitude. Bad food.I dont think Ill visit again. Ill stick by my review.

Cocktail Tasting sessions are a delight! Cocktails are a work of Magic, some Alcohol, some spices and something special to make the drink standout. Bo Tai does that the right way. They make their Cocktails not only taste delightful but ensure that they look beautiful enough for all the shutterbugs out there. They are located at the outer Courtyard area of JW Marriott and offer an awesome ambience, lots of seating options and two bars to serve the endless crowd. For the tasting session, we tried:1. Full Moon Festival - This is the most beautifully served drink that I have ever tried. Some Gin, Some vermouth, some strawberry and rose syrup, lime and lastly flowers for the fragrance. Its an elegant, subtle yet very exquisite drink to try, something which you should not miss if you visit Bo Tai. Its served in a Fish Bowl glass which makes it resemble a Basket of Flowers.2. Naga Fireball - This is my kinda drink, Im a scotch person and Chivas 18 years delighted by tastebuds for sure. It was a definite fireball with the Scotch, chilli bitters, some coffeeginger and was smoked at the end inside a glass cloche to infuse a smoky flavour into the drink. Scotch lovers should definitely try this!3. Cool Heart - Served in a Pineapple shaped glass, another Beefeater drink with some JΓ€germeister, lime and tonic water. It does have the right flavour and essence to cool your heart down!4. Bangkok Boulevard - Insipired from the Khaosan road in Thailand popularly called the Bangkok Boulevard, Chivas does the magic for this drink, served in a regular cocktail glass, it packs a punch because of the scotch and some sparkling wine combination.Bo Tai cocktails are one of best I have tried till date, presented beautifully and gleefully making sure you get the High that you came for!

Bo Tai, in JW Marriott Bengaluru is a super lavish Pan Asian restaurant serving authentic delicacies and exotic cocktails straight from the lands of jolly good beaches. One of my favorite drinks is the full moon festival which is also their signature drink. Other than that, you can try the smoky flavours of the naga fireball that is a burst of flavours in your mouth. For food, you can opt for some delicious pork ribs an my favorite are the charcoal chicken dumplings.

Good food, good atmosphere. Very nice service! They only reason I didnt rate it 5 is because of an event going on exactly adjacent to this place, which was sorta loud.

I wish there was lesser rating than one star! Made a reservation a good 36 hours prior to our lunch. Booked a table for 6 of us, invited my friends to come to Bo Tai. Just as we reached the place I get a call saying they are full and we will not be seated. I told them I could even wait for an hour if they could organise a table for us, to which they said they could not. On a Saturday afternoon most places run full and SO DISAPPOINTING that despite making a reservation we couldn’t get a table.

I had a disappointing Sunday at Bo Tai .. Food was fine... But the staff was too forceful on buying food of what they suggested though I was not interested πŸ™„..please stop forcing your customers.. rather let them choose from the menu .. And inspite of denying cocktail was sent to our table then I had to tell him clearly again that I dont prefer cocktails.. And it took good 30 min to get the food on table.. 😐😐

A fine dine lover drops by the exquisite chinese - thai themed restaurant at JW Marriott. As an ambience, the place looks serene and with night gets darker it gets more beautiful. And the seating arrangement is best for the groups who wanna have amazing evening for them. The place came to my attention for their amazing food and fine cocktails. On food part, I have tasted Avocado Salad, which got my taste buds in a First touch only and Thin Crust Pizza was just perfect with cocktails. Then there was Cocktails which needs an applause because all of them were luxurious and prepared with all natural ingredients. First I got, Full Moon Festival which was made of Beefeater Gin, Strawberry Rose Syrup, Spiced Orange Syrup, Lime and Flowers. Then there were other 3; Naga Fireball was made with Chivas 12 years, Cold brew coffee ginger, thai red syrup and smoke, Cool Heart which was made of beefeater Gin, Pineapple, Thai Green Syrup, Lemon &Tonic. The drink looked quite appealing and can be enjoyed by people who like fruity taste to their cocktails. So keeping all in attention, the place is definitely a place to visit to try out if you want to try some good fine dine and cocktails in the city

I would not give this place more than a three star, at least not with my experience. After reading a lot of reviews we booked a table for two for a Friday dinner, an hour before our booking time we got a call from the restaurant and were told about the rules like dress code and children not allowed etc., but when we reached there we saw people with infants and kids, that was surprising. And with regard food, well we wanted to start with some beer and starters, in beers they only had half the brands of what was in menu, our starters, the Roti Kanai we ordered was way too salty and after we informed they replaced it, and our Dimsum, well was delivered quickly but the sauces for it were brought to the table after three to four minutes by which time we had already gobbled two of the four Dimsums (yeah very small portion) and we dint stay there for mains. Over all nothing fancy about this place, if theres a DJ night or something may be you can visit them for a good music and outdoor ambiance.

Had been to Bo-tai with a set of my friends last week. The place being set up in premises of JW Marriott had set a lot of high expectations in us.They have a bar side seating or out door seating area. The huge tree atound which the place is put up is a center of attractionHowever though the place ia less than an year old, its a bit undermaintained. A leaky ac vent was atleast not exoected from a place of this kind.Ambiance 3/5We tried their popular cocktails.Bangkok boulevard - a whiskey based cocktail havung house blend vermouth - usually served in a glass sprayed edible gold - which was missing in our glass - as the edible gold was put of stock!! nevertheless cocktail tasted good. Something for my liking as it was strong.Bangkok Boulevard 3/5Naga fireball : A cocktail that is inspired by the story of the fight of dragons smoking out fires.Another whiskey based cocktail made using Chivas 18 years - with some ginger, hint coffee liquer, house blend spiced cocoa bitters and thai red syrup - loved the presentation that goes by the story tge menu reads - perfect whiskey based cocktail you cannot miss here. And liked the smokey flavour in my drink.Naga fireball 5/5Full moon festival - a gin based cocktail that is designed or created to have a glipmse of the fool moon festival celebrated im Thailand.gin with grapefruit juice hint of strawberry, raspberry and rose syrup, spiced vermouth and orange topped with edible flowers. Really presentation. But the cocktail was not strong enough. just a fancy looking drink.Full moon festival 2/5Cool heart was another gin based cocktail that had seedlip syrup. Passable. Too light on the taste of liquor.Cool heart 2/5Avocado salad was tasty - the slightly roasted dried coconut added or enhanced the flavour of avocado.Chicken dimsum was decent however the portion size was tooo less.Corn Curd pepper salt - this one a dish that similar to hung curd cutlet or dahi kebab - served hot. Tasted good.Service here is pretty bad. After we had our first round of starters we wanted to order some more food and have desserts. But we never got the menu again to the table. Which was a let down. Also, service at the table was not timely.
