With the blush green forest trees on a mountain top also home for many birds with a cool breeze always a couple of degrees lesser than in the city. Not a great place for cycling but a good place once you reach there. Unfortunately the gate was closed due to Covid-19 restrictions. Very few forests like these exists near the city lets try to save it.

Peaceful place surrounded by busy city building, visiting the forest early morning is a memorable experience. You can see the city site from the mountains. Though we lost the road midway, exploring untouched roads through long grass and rocks was exiting. Take care of yourself as its cold 🥶 out there and prefer a two-wheeler due to parking contraints.

Since the Turahalli Forest is closed, this park is the next best option around that area. Its very nicely maintained and offers a good view of the city outlined by hills from the back. A good place to catch sunset from! Timings are 4 PM to 6 PM in the evenings.

Its a reserve forest area. Well fenced. This is the only surviving forest in Bengaluru. The main attraction is birds. Their chirping makes the environment beautiful. The deciduous type forest is formed mainly by Eucalyptus. There is a small temple above the hill. Granite rocks are the delight to see the sunrise.People come sneakily and litter the place. I could see some encroachment also.I hope, the beauty and the peace of the woods will be maintained.

Just the most quiet, serene urban forest. With only the (rather ugly) Shobha apartments barring the view, the rest of the space is verdant green and an absolutely lovely space. If you visit wear your shoes and comfortable clothes, you could do some fun climbing and hike small trails to some amazing views! Please pick up litter you may leave behind, and respect this little soulful patch of life in the middle of all this concrete.

Turahalli forest does not have a well defined path that leads you into the forest. You will have to figure out the path for yourself. The trail is banned and you will usually get fined if you are caught venturing into the forest at night without permission. If you are brave enough to climb the fence and explore on your own, you have to be careful since there are no trails or path that is made. Please go in at your own risk

Great place for a morning jog/walk/stroll. You can just take the trail around the park. It has a clean public washroom. But there was no water available when I went. I heard about this forest from one of my friends. At first I didnt believed that there is a forest within 15km range around Bangalore. But its true. Turahalli Forest is one of them. I came here with my friends using Bicycles. I would suggest people who wants to visit this forest, they must use a bicycle. Because we can ride with bicycles inside the forest. The Eucalyptus trees and Rocks are a visual treat for us. This is one of the places in Bangalore to see the sun rise.

It was a completely random trip. We reached the base of the hill at around 5:45, it was dark and we jumped over the fence and entered in. There is nothing to fear. There are 2 ways to reach the top , first either you directly accent sharp to the top or else you can go around the hill base and gradually climb up. We could hear peacocks clearly but couldnt spot one. The weather was pleasant as it was just early morning . We came here to see the sunrise , I guess because we took the longer way to the top we missed it by 15-20 minutes but it was worth it. The trek was fairly decent with occational tricky parts. It is possible to get kids as well. There is a temple at the top and there are huge boulders which you can climb and enjoy the beautiful sunrise and feel the cool breeze that flows. It was only 6:30-45 and we were at one of the peak of the hills. Spent some time at the top, but better be careful and dont slip and fall down. It is risky. We descended pretty quickly and were down by 7:30. After that time it was getting a bit hot and we were lucky to have a mini trek early morning. And please , it is my request that dont litter the place when you come here. Be a responsible citizen and enjoy the trek.

But the notice board placed there doesnt tell us that entry is prohibited(I have attached the photo of notice board here). So, better be ready to face these kind of minor issues.

Good place for photography. Nice place to hangout with friends and prefer visit in the early morning.I went on Sunday morning with friends. I loved the beautiful nature here..after climbing hills u can see all over the city. If you are a nature lover you will Enjoy this place a lot.Accessing the forest through a mud road from Sobha property, we had completed a wonderful adventure in this forest. We chose to take one of the trails and climb up a rocky hill. The forest has mainly Eucalyptus trees. All of us enjoyed scampering up the rocks and big boulders and made our way to the top of the hill. We got a good view of the surrounding areas that have come up on the periphery of the forest. There were several families also trekking in the forest and going on the different trails/hills.Coming down from the top of the hill tested our skills of rock climbing, and we had to take care not to slip and get injured. There was no park office to even get first aid.In some of the secluded areas we saw broken liquor bottles. After sun down the forest may not be safe. The place is not ideal for girls in the evenings because of safety concerns.Good place to take a cycle preferably a mountain bike. Forest along the road looks unimpressive but deeper inside it is tranquil and one may hear and see peacocks. Temple atop the hillock was closed but appeared to be well developed and in regular use. Great place to get lovely views of the city.Nice place to plan a short and quick raid. Please carry water and snacks to enjoy on the quite walk around the forest. Time needed approximately 3-4 hours. Highly recommend visiting this place with friends for a short adventure. Very nearest place to refresh yourself from city pollution.

Its a dense wood on the edge of Bangalore. Near Rajajarajeshwarinagar. Theres nothing there except a forest, whichs terrific bacause thats exacly how a forest should be. Go there and have a picnic, by all means, but for heavens sake, pick up your mess. Dont leave a litter behind. Its one of the last and largest wooded areas left behind in Bangalore, so its too precious to loose. I havent seen any animals around except the most dangerous animal of all. Man.
