Theres a very positive vibe in this place. For an artist, its like home. It could be called as a dancers abode because its just the perfect space and lighting that brings in a sense of belongingness to a community. From outside the building it seems like an average place. Once you are inside you find neatly kept restrooms on the left and a mini kitchen set up for refreshments and then you open the door to this magnificent studio.In love with this place.

Beautiful space to explore dance. There is so much events happening in this space.. and its an amazing opportunity to explore different form of performing arts.

Its nice small place to perform plays. The place is located at the 4th floor. Seating can be made much better instead of having the audience to just sit on floor.

Great place, good performance that I attended here. Its well connected in the city, and is on roads with good connectivity, Lalbagh Road. Good place to visit whenever theres something happening.

This is a good venue for recitals and closed group gigs. Love their terrace top. Also, their washroom had some powerful stuff put up to promote gender equality.

I went there to see a kathak performance but was shocked to see a photographic exhibition that was on Kashmir and that was demonising our armed forces. It was pathetic to see a completely one sided political view of Kashmir presented in those pictures. Obviously it was a notorious propaganda by some antinationals perhaps funded by external forces that are meant to destabilise India. Shoonya, please do not be a party to such antinational activities and please do not pass such activities as art and freedom of speech. If its politics that you wish to indulge in then do it in the open. Do not hide behind art and freedom of speech.Shame on Shoonya.

Great place to experience some wonderful theatre

An amazing place with a great ambience and all the necessities. Went to watch a dance program. The people are very much helping and friendly. They provide the comfort needed for each and every person. There are a number of events happening and it really was a good experience.

I love this space for its spaciousness and serenity. All white, with trees around, huge ceiling, it all gives the meaning to its name - Shoonya.The studio is huge 2000 Sq.ft and other one small may be 250 - 300sq.ft.Both have wooden flooring. Large windows. One of its kind in the city. 😊

Went for a play here. The centre is medium sized and clean and well maintained. Limited seating but a good place nonetheless

Keep track of the free, rare and really cool events, workshops and performances that happen here and do go for them! Its so pretty, cute and comfy and has a gender neutral bathroom. A lovely place that reflects the expression and creative freedom that it supports and displays. Go go gooooo

Good place to attend workshops. Basic snacks available. I attended a writing workshop. The staff cooperated really well and were friendly. The price of the workshops are a bit on the higher end, but that depends on the facilitators i guess

Its a lovely space. They have dance classes and other activities as well. Well lit studio, and great instructors. Very professional staff and you will meet really good people here.

Wonderful place with spacious halls for all kinds of somatic experiences. I attended two workshops in this space and both the had wonderful experience. The kind of activities conducted here are unique. Such kind of efforts are always commendable.

I went there for a massage by Rick. I must say it was wonderful and greatly relaxing. My body had been sore in a few places and the massage helped relieve the pain quite a bit. The pricing is fair too. The massage took 2 hours, so this was done with a lot of attention and care. It wasnt a rush job. I might just make it a regular visit in the coming months.

A great place which brings some excellent artists to perform. It has never disappointed in its quality. Central location. Tucked in behind a building, so could be slightly difficult to find the first time. Good people.

This place is difficult to locate from the road. It is exactly where Google Maps shows you, you have to go inside the building which looks abandoned at first. The place itself is colourful, has a great pantry area, unisex bathrooms, a wide performance space and a lobby for chit chats. It was my first time sitting on the floor and watching a performance from close proximity and I enjoyed myself.

The building front doesnt say Shoonya. It says AGL. Like me, youre very likely to miss it! And, they do have a limited amount of parking space. So it would be a good idea to call and check if theres space to park beforehand, if youre planning to drive. May be a better idea to take public transport or cab otherwise as there are limited parking options nearby on any day!

Great space. Saw the play Every Brilliant Thing and was arranged well in the space. Would love to see more performances there.

Very big and spacious. They have 2 studios, 1 big and 1 small. There is a small canteen and also a sitting room which could also be taken for rent. They organize FLUID, with very talented artists coming to train dancers. They also conduct workshops and shows.

The place has a open space which can be used as a training centre or a performance space. Saw a play. it was designed as a four side theatre. Very nicely decorated. Good place for theatre performances.

Its basically, comparatively small and open kinds of place. I love it. The plat that we had attended was all about the current systems in India! Theres no particular dimension to the play!

Shoonya is quietly alive. Just being in that space brings about a sense of serenity in which new possibilities begin to come alive within oneself. It is a happening place, if you know what I mean.

This is a multifarious space that goes from being a yoga centre to dance studio to theatre venue with equal ease. In the short time that its been active, Shoonya has come to be an oasis of options for the senses and the soul in the heart of Bengaluru. Theres something going on nearly everyday (classes, courses, screening, talks, etc.) - be sure to check their website or social media pages.

Attended a play today at Shoonya Center - Elephant in the room by Dur...se Brothers and it literally blew my mind away. Its simple infrastructure but awesome gathering of artists.

Place is lovely and good . One star less because it has a narrow staircase, passageway,etc.... Which is less specially if you have a emergency and all the occupants need to get out

Art and dance space with some of the coolest folks managing the space. Its a little difficult to find if its your first time going but they offer amazing events.

Hard place to locate. As a landmark it is in the building opposite to Royal Enfield showroom. And its located in the building behind. Located on 4 th floor. The people and workshops are quite meaningful. Make an appointment before you go there. Helpful tip the entrance is from the basement level.

Shoonya is a space with vibrant community following that makes conscientious curating choices. They have regular movement workshops and performances that belong to varying genres.

Lovely performance and the snacks lady outside sells amazing snacks. You should try her chocolate pudding cups.

Visited the place a couple of weeks ago to see a program on dance and music. The approach is via Lalbagh Road and the venue is listed as floor 3, but in reality, it is on top of floor 3. We were accompanied by elderly persons and the lift stops at the 3 floor. Two fights of stairs which are steep take you to the venue. Footware is to be left outside and the place has just a few chairs. Changing rooms and wash rooms are available. The top of the roof has a temporary cover. Venue had sound and lighting. The floor has wooden veneer. From a viewing perspective, the venue was fine. If persons visiting have mobility issues, then the venue is not very friendly.

It is a nice small theatre. You sit on the floor and watch. I went to watch the act Piya behrupiya. The drama team put up a very nice act.

Nice place, but very difficult to reach, located on 4th floor, with elevator access only up to 3rd floor; good for health conscious who prefer to climb stairs ... and extremely difficult to find a good parking place. Anyway I do encourage public transport.

I start by saying these opinions where constructed from the one time visit.Its okay. I do not think it gives you the 100% experience of the play. its need something the would enhance the experience. Speaker enhancement, ac instead of fan . Its just my opinion.

Shut down most of the times . Huge area , centrally located but no regular classes conducted . Only events posted on book my show app etc happen here . But the place is fantastic.
