Well, this review is for the Thali on Sunday!Cost - ₹499+GST full meal, Maharashtrian style (they charged 499/- even though menu card read it as 399/-)Ambience - very goodOverall Spread - below par (very limited range)Starters - very good (Misal, sabudana vada, Palak pakoda)Main course - Just average (phulka with dal and some pumpkin curry 🙄); Masala bath was good though.. and we had to ASK for curds.Dessert - Puran Poli (tiny, didnt taste great)Overall Taste - not bad...Service - below par (there were long pauses between each serving)Overall - clearly the wow factor is missing..
They are known for authentic maharashtrian food. Meesal paav, vada paav, thalipeeth, bhakar, curries...most of these are served with either comfortable floor setup or regular chair+table setup. My ratings could be unfair me being not from Maharashtra. Please decide yourself once you visit and share reviews.
We visited here on 7th August. Ordered vada pav and in the meanwhile started to check the menu. Vada was too oily and stuffing in the vada was stale!! Pav was too small and it was cold. With strong guts ordered poori bhaji. It was not at all tum tum as mentioned in the menu rather it was too oily as shown in the picture and was like a papad. Bhaji was so purathan (ancient) and they just made it hot and served it, but tasted awful. As we showed and explained this to the manager, he was courteous to skip the poori bhaji bill as we couldnt even have it !!
The ambience is pretty and classy. The food is delicious. Everything that we ordered was so yummy. Be it the snacks, the main course or the drinks. Lovely place for a family dinner or hanging out with friends. The staff is polite and the service is very fast. Would love to visit this place once again. One of the best theme restaurants in town. If you want to try authentic Maharashtrian food, this is the place to be. ❤️😍
Awesome Awesome Awesome food...Best place in Bangalore for Maharashtrian food... Especially the sweets... If anyone loves food should try here...Had a Great Experience... Will visit soon
To be honest I didnt like the taste of food. I really feel that things are overpriced. We were 4 people ordered like alacarte fashion, it costed 1800. I think I will never go back to this place.
Authentic Maharashtrian food, Indian seating is also available. All menues are little bit expensive on the pocket but food takes you back to Maharashtra.Ambience is also authentic.Taste was not upto the mark. Disappointed.
Great place - tasty & authentic Maharashtrian food and nice ambience. Must try Sabudana khichdi and sabudana vada. Roti-curry combos are also very good. For desserts, Id recommend shrikhand. Portions are very generous. There are tables as well as seatings on the floor to make the experience more traditional.
Purnabramha - An authentic Maharashtrian restaurant at a prime location in HSR. Must try the variety dishes here from Vidarbha to Konkan. The ambiance is nice, service is great and the staff is very polite. You can get a feel of being in Maharashtra by listening the marathi music here in this restaurant. A great and must visit place in Bengaluru.
Visited on 6th Oct 2021 for lunch. Food was average. Ordered spacial full thali (Rs 499+tax) is definitely not worth paying. Portion wise its same as a south indian thali you get for 80rs. Had high expectations but failed to meet that.
1. Slow service2. Extremely high priced (food is not worth the amount you would pay here). We ordered vadapav and they refried it and gave3. You are asked to remove shoes out side and the staff (or management) has no watch on it, someone stole my slippers from their premises and the team their didn’t even help in knowing with the help of cc tv, instead they suggested to wear someone else’s slippers and go.
Starters were really good. Vada pav, sabudana vada, Mas vadi were all good. Did not like main course that much. The brinjal side dish given with jowar roti was not upto the expectation. Kokum drink was really good.
Thali price ₹550, includes starter missal, Palak pakoda and sabudana wada. main course Pumpkin gravy, Sweet Daal, puran poli, pulka, Steam rice and masala rice(very oily and difficult to chew).Curries are not at all like Maharashtrian taste and not a worthy. Waste of money. Not meet expectation.I feel this place is only for starters and not to go for Thali. In washroom shoes are not allowed.
Bhaajis are good but Thaali price is higher than what they provide and puran poli is not good
Plz say no to this place. Pathetic no quality of food. They are stigma for making Marathi food.
Extremely spicy food above the spice levels of regular meals. I would prefer to snack on a spicy quick food and have a drink or so. But I purchased the thali meals and each and every item were loaded with chilly. If you prefer very very spicy food then you can opt for it. May be request in the counter for a milder version of food.
This is very authentic Maharashtrian food. Taste, service and seating. Tye concept is well presented and maintained over the years. I like the way they have tried to reinvent menu often and educate the customers about the real Maharashtrian food. The service in busy times becomes tough. Overall intent and content is great. All the best.
Lovely place and great food, had Sabudana vada, thaali peet, shrikhand Puri, tea, puran Poli and basundi. The food is great. Vada was crisp, thali peet was tasty with the pickle and Puri sabji and shrikhand is very good. Also you get the vibes of traditional Maharashtrian eatery. The staff was helpful. Would recommend this place if you are missing Maharashtrian food.
An Authentic Maharashtrian restaurant, all types of Maharashtrian food items are available here, they have table and low seats available which adds to the aura and the experience. Customer service is of utmost priority here. Prices are a little expensive but worth the experience and food
Went for the first time yesterday and it was a wonderful experience. I work at a walking distance and had never seen it.Ate lot of starters which are all typical marathi cuisine along with my favorite soul kadhi...(2glasses) and puran poli and shreekhand. Came out satisfied and happy. Fyi...I am not a marathi so the names are something I dont remember but sabudana khichdi, missal paav and a vada (not kothambir but with lot of coriander in it) were awesome.Surely going back again!
A well known place for authentic Maharashtrian food. Thali is a most popular and food lovers choice! Which is served around 12:30 to 3:30pm.Apart from Thali, one can also munch on traditional snacks all the time and breakfast in the morning!
The best authentic maharashtrian food that satisfies your soul. Experience calming ambience with crunchy sabudana vada and kothambir vadi. Varan baath soothes your palatte and gets you ready for the best course, dessert, puran poli. Enjoy the soul food without burning your pockets.
Pros:More of authentic food.. Marati veg lovers will love it...Served in hygienic wayStaffs were so polite and welcomingGood ambienceKids friendly food availableCons:Gravies were so much wateryLimited dishes served in thali meal
We visited the restaurant on 10 th September.ProsHumble behavior by the ownerNeat and clean spaceConsToo costlyStaff is not well trainedWe had to wait for long after each food was served.Asked many times than they will bring. No menu for thalliDifferent people served different food in same thhali
I really enjoyed the authentic taste and quality of food. Puranpoli is a must try dessert here. Lots of flavourful dishes on offer
Good foodVery good serviceChappathi Puri goodCurry spicy
Ambience is a kill. Amazing food though. Great Maharashtrian food. Try vada pav, kanda poha and sabudana khichdi/tikki. Good tea too
Had my first hand experience about 3-4 yrs back at one of their outlets on bannerghatta road wherein we had misal pav, thalipeeth n 1 more item. 180/- for a misal and extra pav about 20/- each. Nothing great to talk about the other items too. Overly priced. This time around stumbled upon this place as it was the first Monday of shravan n was looking for fasting options. Grapped on to some kokum sharbat n upvasachi thalipeeth. It was filling as I was hungry too. Maybe will try once again at some other time. Expensive it is.
Great palce very good and tasty food but takes too long for preparation need to do little faster service
Today I went with my family for lunch, and the food was so pathetic, it is no where close to maharashtrian cuisine at all. There is no parking. The staff is not co-operative and the lady was rude. The quantity and quality is very poor. Please do not visit this restaurant at all. It is no value for money at all.
Nice authentic Maharastrian restraunt.Ambience - Very simple but goes with the themeHygeine - Seemed very hygienicTaste - Authentic maharashtra, Solkadi a must tryStaff - Very friendlyOverall - Great experience
Pethetic... Service is too slow and food was just Ok.. not advisable for parents how have small baby coz waiting time is minimum 30min.... Also the rates are too high.. one puranpoli is Rs,90.. where as Malleswaram hallimane charges Rs,18 for one..Main point is food was cooked using soda.. cant think of going again 🙄
Ambience was good. But a hard-core south Indian food buff, this wasnt to our expectations..
Awesome food. Must try is puranpoli (just a hint they give ghee in 1 bowl if u order multiple) and if you order one after another you will get more ghee😎 Another one is khotambhari vadi and chutney is also pretty amazing, shabdana kchidi missal pav and pital bhakari.. list can go on 😃
Sometimes you eat food not to satiate your hunger but your soul and thats what purnabramhas food does. Relished every morsel and will keep coming back
Food was average and the service was pretty good. They can definitely improvise the menu as well as the ambience. Their Sol Khadi and Kothimbir Vadi is worth a try.
Your story is very inspiring...pls open your new branch in Malaysia kaula Lumpur also ..please ...jai maharashtra..hai hind
If you really wanna try authentic Maharashtrian food this is the place they have the best stuff in the menu
Food was real authentic Maharastrian taste... Must visit place
The name is very suitable for this place Purnabramha. It will surely complete bramhas within you. You can feel the love and homeliness through the first bite itself. The patodya rassa and bharleli vangi with bhakari and on top of that green thecha was mouthwatering and delicious. Ukadiche modak and Puranpoli was APRATIM(extremely delicious). Staff was friendly, well trained and polite. Authenticity is truly followed and maintained.लय भारी ना राव...😘
Need to work a lot on service .....wait during food is not all appreciable.....i have cancelled a dish infact because they brought it when we were about to finish food ....food quality is ok
Worst customer service, waiter does not knows how to attend customer, please avoid going here you will be insulted.
I read so many good reviews and thought it will be an awesome restaurant. Turns out this is such a bad restaurant.. These guys charge insanely for everything and neither the ambience nor the quality and quantity of food match the price.. Trust me not worth it avoid going to this place.. It sucks big time. They have limited thali for 500₹. Every item is charged 3-4 times higher. They hava a la carte and buffet..
Excellent authentic Maharashtrian food. Good service.
Maharashtrian style Food is good. We can visit once for a change
Food taste - GoodTime for serving order - They take bit more time
Tasteless food. Very high prices. No proper service.low quantity and quality of food. The lady who takes order and serves food is rude, has no respect towards customer. I asked for a spoon and it was given at the end of the meal. Pathetic service. The whole food was not prepared fresh, it was a recycled food prepared a day before for sure.
Very nice, authentic Maharashtra food. But little expensive. 340rs for 50 grams of Kharvas? Too costly. Otherwise a good place and food.Quality and taste is not like earlier, it is not worth now.
Taste is not that good and all food items are overrated.Taste and price dnt match.
Not worth for money... service is good, but food is not good, plz improve the food quality.totally waste of money.
Great maharashtrian food. Me and my family enjoyed a lot. We tried Misal Pav, Vada Pav, Matar kachori and Kokam Juice. They also have separate menu for children (Balgopal menu) so you don’t need to purchase full dish for kids. Good ambience and friendly staff. For few items service might slow but I think reason is, they prepare items after you ordered so its worth waiting. Must visit.... :)
Real authentic Maharashtrian food. And PURE veg.Go for it for a change.. the menu items are awesome, which you might have not really seen before...The food quality is good and hygienic
Had a huge expectations but the place is very disappointing. Items are not available and priced at higher cost. Quantity is very less.
I liked Basundi, Sabu Wada and kachori. Test is really good like Maharashtrian but only need to improve quality of Chapati thats it!
I have never seen such range of veg varieties. Very good place for vegetarians who is fed up eating only paneer.
Located in hsr layout. Nice place to have Maharastrian food. Price is expensive when compared to other restaurants, but ambience is good.
Food is on little higher price range, but food is awesome, specially purana poli
Okay if you have lots of money, time and not bothered much about food quality then this is the right restaurant for you.Food quality and quantity doesnt make justice to your time and money spent. Bhakkari was like 3mm thick at some point not baked evenly. Sabudana wada was not cooked well inside. As per owner it is at its best. Potato mashed inside was still wet.Owner has justified this how bhakkari will be at Maharashtra... just like bhakkari Paratha. No parking options at this price.Plus points:AmbienceSit down optionsLot of food options.
Authentic food with great taste
One who wants to have maratha cusine can bmp into this place (it has only veg).u have floor sitting as well as table chairs..gves you homely feeling . I loved the food over here.. especially poori shrikhand ,kotimber wadi and sabudana wada. Poori shrikhand was outstanding!I didnt like tepla much.. price being a little on higher side, would definitely visit again to try different items
Good quality food, autentic Maharashtra taste
Good place to get authentic Maharashtrian food. Have tried their missal-pav (for which they provide extra Tarri on request) and sabudana wada, and I liked both of them. Missal here is better compared to other eateries. And sabudana wada is a must try if you visit this place. They have options for seating arrangement like 1. Bhartiya baithak (paat and chaurang), 2. Cane stools and table, and 3. Normal dining tables. We can choose any of them according to our comfort.Their service is little slow and the food is slightly on the higher side. But its definitely worth a try!
Lai Bharrii !!A must try restaurant for a Maharashtrian who is missing his/her home. It has an authentic Maharashtrian taste and is economical too.I tried Dhirde, mungdal khichadi, khava poli, varan phale and kharwas. It cost us 860, out of which kharawas only was of 300. khava poli and Dhirde were mind blowing. If you like varan phale, ask them to make spicy. Ours was not spicy. Mung dal khichadi was good too.
Awesome maharashtrian food ... Must visit ... They also serve unlimited thali with an offer.... If you finish the thali 5% discount N wasted 2%extra
Good guest relationship- helpful and courteous staff. This is main reason for 4 star. Most of the dishes served were good and was a unique experience for all of us.....
Very nice place and food is very good. Nice ambiance. Tables and sit down options are available. If you are a maharastrian you will feel at home . Prices are bit high but its fine for the quality of food. Parking is a bit of problem as it is difficult to find parking place near to restaurant on the main road. I would visit this place again
Great place for authentic Maharashtrian food in HSR layout, Bangalore. Recommend everyone to try it once.
