Good old styled veg food. Its authentic and tasty. Not much of formalities, very old styled casual snacking/dining. Variety of Dosas, veg pulao are a must try. Pocket friendly and both the outlets are at the heart of Bangalore- Commercial st and near Central shopping mall, Jayanagar 9th block. Stricktly veg food and for all generations specially Bangalore old timers...Go for it..

Ordered a full course meal starting from Sweet corn soup which was very tasty (you get to taste the authentic Sagar taste), Malai broccoli which was tasty too but could have roasted the broccoli a bit more, sabjis were good (again the authentic sagar taste) and rotis which were decent enough. Overall a good meal with good ambience. Definitely going back there!

Not great to stay but decent. Power cut and it took more than 10 minutes to work on generator. 24 check out is nice. Breakfast is included but breakfast starts by 830 AM which is very late. 7 ÀM would have been idle of one is on business travel. I couldnt consume breakfast as I have to go for a business breakfast meeting at 8 AM.

If you havent eaten Dosa & Coffee at Woodys, youve not lived in Bangalore. This place proudly announces itself at the busy intersection opposite to Central mall in J P Nagar. The difference in the vibes of both places couldnt be more stark. While Central is your typical multipurpose departmental store where one continues the frenzied pace of life in a harried metro, Woodys throws you back to the Bengaluru which was famed as the garden city/pensioners paradise. You saunter to one of many empty tables, wave to the nearby waiter, and ask him to bring water & switch on one of the several fans hanging from the tall ceiling. There is intense discussion going on at other tables - two ladies sharing some personal grief as can be made from their forlorn faces, an elderly couple enjoying their dosa and blessings, & 2 people perched on the high table working furiously with a wad of papers - the transaction will get closed in this meeting. After you finish surveying the ample space between tables, and nod approvingly at the huge space of this restaurant on your way to the wash basin, the Dosa is served. You are at a loss whether to rate the crisp Dosa or filter coffee higher, but the whole meal is a culinary delight. And then the biggest surprise of it all - 169 Rs for 2 Dosas and filter coffees!I came back shocked that such a place still exists in the commercial hubbub which Bengaluru is, & decided to write this long impression which reads more like a eulogy. I am not an expert in the economics of restaurant business but something doesnt add up. Whatever the case, do visit once and savour Dosa & Coffee, till it lasts.

Its a good place for a family visit. They have a party hall upstairs. On the ground floor they have an A.C sitting and a self service place. There is a parking place without any fee, even if it is filled, there are plenty of other places nearby to park your 2/4 - wheeler. The quality of food is good, but the problem is the time they take to prepare it. There is a minimum wait of 15-20 minutes, that being the minimum. Well, if youve got enough time and have a lovely company, this place should be on your list. Oh, and this place wont make any holes in your pocket. You get what you pay for.

Popular vegetarian restaurant close to Central mall. We have been here few times for morning breakfast as well for lunch. It is a self service restaurant, the prices are certainly on the higher side for a self service restaurant. Quality of food served is OK. Breakfast options are better than lunch option. The staff at the counter are good but service takes its own sweet time. No proper coordinate between billing and service counter and many times you will be forced to change the bills since items you ordered are not available or sold out. Coffee is good but priced higher for the quality they serve. If they focus on customer service and also relook at their pricing strategy they can give real competition to some of the new age restaurant. One thing, their traditional version called Woodlands is any day better.

This place used to be so much better. I remember the time when this was an open restaurant with glass all over, such a beautiful view and the food was one of the best in Bangalore, today sadly apart from the fact that its right on the main road and is easy to access, I dont see a good enough reason to go there. Had been there was lunch yesterday, wanted to have North Indian, but we were told that only subji is available but no roti or any other tandoor items, reason - the person who makes rotis was on leave, strange that a restaurant of this size does not have a substitute for making rotis and the veg noodles and peas pulov had no salt in them and the taste is meadeocre at best. Dear Woodys if you are seeing this, pls talk to your chef, you have a lot of competition around you...

There has been a wierd constructional change. Restroom (that too a common one for men and women) is upstairs and one has to pass through the reception to reach it. Its embarrassing. Curd rice, kesari bhath are bad these days. It is more of water and little buttermilk added to the rice. They have started serving curd rice with meals instead of giving a cup of good curd as earlier. Chutney is really dull, with pudina added to it. North Indian rotis and kulchas etc are so hard. If we ask for soft rotis, they are undercooked. Curries are fine. Ambience is not so good as before. Disappointing change, really ☹️

Have a Tokari chat 👌 @ this place, its thier unique item to have.New generation staff is required with new ideas and make a strategic change to the location. Hotel on a cash rich area, next to central mall, big bazar and manipal hospitals. Some more strategy can change the place in a more profitable hotel and best luxury hotel of the city2nd week: I change my views with regards to service. They are least worried about customers. Instead of reminding on daily basis they didnt took my laundry from room for 4 continuous days. No laundry bags available. If laundry is given at reception l, they say its not good to bring it here. I mean you dont have the solution and also ignore on the face. No hot water from last 2 days, they are not worried. I mean if you dont show your customer a hospitality, how do you grow.Hire a good English speaking staff, you are old in hotel industry but world has changed, thinking has changed and competition has increased. There are problems everywhere but one grows if solutions are made instantFinally, a checkout

But later on, even when I order same pizza I was not getting the same one. It’s worst than ever! 7 inch pizza getting smaller, thin crust getting over cooked. Non veg pizza only has one or two chicken pieces on it. There is just a list of disappointments i have faced when I ordered again and again hoping to get that particular taste. I am thinking maybe owner changed or something that led to such deterioration. Anyway, I don’t recommend anyone to order online. Not sure if you can even visit this place, integrity and honesty should be the basic rules of a business. If you can’t do that, don’t forget customers has the right to choose what to buy, but you don’t have the right to choose the customers. Peace out
