Very good food! We visited to celebrate a birthday and got a free cheesecake dessert which was amazing. Shrimp Pasta was great and so was the ribeye

Food and service was absolutely amazing. My Girlfriend and I came for our anniversary and they went over the top the make it special! Our waiter Joseph was one of the best waiters weve had in our life! He was extremely polite and if we needed anything, he went above and beyond to help us. Such as reorganizing out table to giving us warm water just to warm up.I got the prime New York and it is DEFINITELY worth the price. The steak exploded with flavor and I didnt wanna stop eating after that. Were definitely coming back again and we recommend it highly!P.S. sorry for not taking many photos, I was distracted with the amazing food and gorgeous surroundings.

We went here for a birthday celebration and it did not disappoint. Kevin was our server and he was attentive and knowledgeable (awesome) and honest about what to order especially regarding the seafood fresh items. The steaks were amazing! My only constructive criticism would be that while the lobster mac n cheese was delicious, there could be more lobster in it. We will be back and request to be in Kevins section. We ordered take out during covid, but our last visit in person was meh because we had a very unpolished and unprofessional server. It was great to be back and have a much improved and wonderful experience!

Wow! Mortons has really stepped up the game post-shutdown. Service was attentive, with excellent teamwork by all of the staff. Bar was fast, drinks were never lacking, steaks were par-excellent. This is truly a great experience.

Excellent service and very good food. I recommend the regular ribeye over the cajun. It just sounded better than it was, but it wasnt bad. The sides are very large and made for sharing. I also tried the filet and it was excellent.

We drove all the way from Lacey, Washington to get Morton’s to go. It was a two hour drive and it was worth every bite. This burger was honestly the most delicious, cheesy, mouth watering, perfectly seasoned, juicy burger I’ve ever had in my life. I’m not exaggerating either. We had to eat it in the car because we are driving home two hours and I’m like “dang I should have ordered one for a second dinner!” I normally don’t have second dinners but this was a second dinner kind of cheeseburger. Melted in my mouth!!, the fries were good too not my favorite but good. The baked potato had all the stuff on the sides I loaded that bad boy up smothered everything on top and I had to feed my husband bites while he was driving and I ate it too. That potato was so amazing, yummy we ate it all!, the entire thing. On our driving dinner we had the chocolate mousse let me tell you this was absolutely incredible it was a bunch of super fresh fruits with the most delicious mousse I’ve ever had in my entire life!, we have lived all over the US and we are food snobs. This meal was so worth the drive!!!, my taste buds were like “Dang girl you spoilin’ us!!” The guy that brought us our food was super friendly and nice. The only thing that I would say was bothersome was there was two paper towels in there. I am a messy eater even messier driving and eating. Everything was so wonderful!!

Ordered “22oz bone in ribeye”, au gratin potatoes, cheesecake and various greens.The “22oz” steak was 15 oz. Um, what? Is that legal?Food was delicious, but I’m pretty sure they’re ripping off hundreds or thousands of people with these steaks. Would not recommend. 0 stars.

Great evening and the little touches they added for the birthday was very nice. Steak was perfect. Our only disappointment was the $50 corkage fee that didn’t include any upgrades like better glasses or a decanter.

I cant say if I would have enjoyed the food or not because we didnt stay to order. I Love an intimate setting and a cozy place to dine. I just wanted to enjoy a good Steak with my family. Unfortunately it was way too Dark inside. I could be wrong but I kinda like to👀See My Food while Im eating without pulling out my Flashlight On My Phone. Went here to celebrate my wife and Is recent marriage. Steak was delicious. Would definitely recommend the prime rib as it was the most tender and flavorful for the orders placed at our table. The prime porterhouse was good, but not excellent in my opinion. I ordered it medium rare, but it was a little too well done for my liking. Some parts of it were perfection while others were tough. It is a thicker cut so I could see the cooking process resulting in such a level of thoroughness. The truffle butter, if you are a fan of truffles, went perfectly with the steaks. The bread on the side was fluffy and the butter smooth. We had a mixed seafood platter I cannot remember the name of and then some grilled vegetables on the side as well. Those were both very good, but not outstanding. Then again, this is a steakhouse so the steaks are the focus. Overall an enjoyable experience, but do not see myself returning anytime soon as it is outside of our normal dining budget. The service was great even though it was a busy night. The waiter was also accommodating with our allergies and tried to find an entree that could work for us.

A truly fantastic restaurant. The staff are incredibly friendly and are very engaging. Even after just a few visits, they remember you and your perferences! A very welcoming and comfortable environment.I have never had bad service or poor quality food every time I have dined here. I assure you they will not disappoint you either. Its definitely not cheap, but I assure you its well worth the price.

Came here with my boyfriend for our anniversary and had a server named Matt who was amazing! he was so kind, and very personable; so easy to make conversation with!as for the food, O M G. absolutely AMAZING. my boyfriend and i were both so stuffed by the time we left, and went home halfway in a food coma.10/10, i would definitely recommend and will 1000% be coming back!

@teresabliving Had a lovely anniversary dinner last night. All staff were very attentive, professional, and helpful. This dimly lit fine dining steak house really hit the spot. The food was amazing and prompt. I was glad we did not order a potato dish as the house bread was delicious (though Im sure theyre good). They list the calorie count on the menus which is, educational to say the least. Id love to go back just for that 2500 calorie sundae.

Great quality food each time I visit. The service is good lots of wine and cocktail choices. The steaks are cooked as ordered JUST RIGHT.

A corner booth in the back at 5 PM, and we felt like we had the place to ourselves! I made reservations online, and used an emailed coupon. Our steak was perfect to order, and the broccoli was bright, crisp and perfectly cooked.

Best steak Ive had since moving to Portland. It was very flavourful and cooked perfectly. However it is on the spending side with a steak having average price of $50.

Its certainly expensive and the steak is good, but the sides are largely disappointing. Not the scalloped potatoes, those things are amazing. The rest of the sides? Ehh... the bread before dinner was yummy. The spinach was ok. The baked potato was ok (certainly quite large). The Brussels sprouts were not good. The fries were average (not worth the price). The drinks were well made and the steaks were good. Was it worth the money? No.

Had dinner with my daughter and Shane was our waiter. Shane was EXCEPTIONAL from start to finish! His welcoming demeanor, attentiveness, suggestions, just the right amount of checking in and overall skill in his position left us very impressed and we felt extremely well taken care of. Ask for him by name or, if there is a manager looking at this, give him a raise or put him in a trainer/managerial position because he is a keeper and someone should know about it.I got the Tomahawk and my daughter the Filet Mignon. We had the cheesecake for dessert and of course the steaks and dessert were superb, even second to none as expected by an outfit like this, but it was our service that made our night. Thank you

Steak was outstanding. However a $50 corkage fee is just insulting. Scallops were cold in the middle, and the lobster bisque tasted like flavored water. El Gaucho blows this place out of the water.

Unbelievably delicious, when in Chicago we went there , it was covid times so we got it to go but it was absolutely beautiful inside! We ordered like kings and queens and our bill was costly but when we took the first bite of food it became very clear how worth it was. They also gave us real metal knives & cutlery in our Togo bag . I highly suggest this place & the aged steaks you’ll be greatful you did

The steaks are very good and so was the service. The cajun ribeye is fantastic and they even have key lime pie made by scratch. My only issue would be that they charge extra for garlic butter at $6.

The steak was divine and the service impeccable. It is a bit noisier than I had expected.

Service, atmosphere, and food were great. Went twice within a week. Noticed I was over charged 48.00 on sides on there special $99.00 for 2 so with corresponding tip overpaid $63.84 first time. Would like a refund and can provide receipt. Also 50.00 corkage fee is outrageous. Most places charge $25-$35 at the most anywhere in the country. That is disappointing alone and likely a reason why I won’t return. If they make the overcharge right I’ll increase this to 4 stars out of 5, the corkage fee just busted it.

Absolute perfect Cajun ribeye. Got it rare+ and couldnt ask for a better steak. Booked a table online and arrived 15mins before and was seated immediately. Service was fantastic

If you are a construction worker (people keeping our economy going, and healthcare workers) I have been working non-stop across the street from this steakhouse. As a construction worker, I wanted to visit them (as they were a great steakhouse!) I was treated poorly. Forced to pay even though I did not eat the meal. I was waiting to leave at the cash register when they informed me that my meal had been served, therefore I HAD to pay. I was mad and paid $100 for 2 glasses of wine and some bread. The rest ($200) was FORCIBLY paid by my company. Raw meat! I left. Still charged. Called customer service. Ill recommend all of the thousands of construction workers I know not to ever eat there. Terrible people. Only for the rich. Theyll go down in a ball of flame.

Best steak in Portland! My husband and I went there for my husband’s birthday celebration. It was a nice place for celebration. They arranged complementary souvenir with our photo and candles with special decoration. We ordered the Cajun ribeye and Fillet mignon. They were so delicious. Perfect taste, perfectly cooked and so much flavorful. All steak lovers must try it once. Sides and desserts were also good! Service was excellent.We will definitely visit again.

Best steak in Portland. Great atmosphere, great service, outstanding food. Kevin was our server tonight, as my wife and I were able to walk-in with no reservation. I recommend making a reservation. Appetizers on point. I highly recommend the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella. My wife loved the French onion soup, and our filet mignon was prepared perfectly, as were our lobster and sea scallops. Cant go wrong with the bacon/gouda au gratin either. And th Old Fashioned cocktail was the best Ive had in a long while. Overall, well worth the upscale price. You will not be disappointed!

Staff and service were great. My only dislike was the hardness of the bread but that was overcame by the prime Cajun ribeye. 16oz of pure perfection. From the lightly charred outside, the marbling throughout the cut, and the cooked to the perfect temperature of medium rare made this the BEST steak Ive had.

This place is the BEST Ive tasted in a very long time. The food was beyond describing. Every bite had so much taste and texture in it. Ive tried similar dishes, but there is no comparing to the Mortons. They get my votes. And I will be coming back! Its a lil more money than your ordinary restaurant, but WELL WELL worth EVERY dollar.The waiters. Just great! Fast, and friendly service. Very polite. I went there to celebrate my anniversary and they made my wife and me so cozy, and special. There is no question why they have been here for so long and are still gonna be here. Service is EXCEPTIONAL! ☆☆☆☆☆Personalized the menus for our anniversary. Complimentary photo, and desert on the house. Even allowed me to have a florist deliver flowers and had them sitting at the table when we arrived.Thanks to the whole team!

Mortons The Steakhouse was one of our first experiences of a higher quality dinner at Portland. I went on my birthday and I must say I have never received a better service experience as I did today. The quality of the food is matched with the quality of the people working here. I will definitely come here on any special ocasion.

Good but better choices for your money. Ive dined at Mortons in several cites. Theyre not created equal. Manhattan and Las Vegas Mortons are very good. Portland is just ok. The steaks are good but not amazing. The vegetables are great. The cocktails taste watered down due to shaking with crushed ice yet theyre $18-$20. Service is usually good. But for the value in Portland, Ruth Chris, El Goucho and Ringside are better on every level (except the delicious bread Mortons has). Portland City Grill is a similar value but there you have a magnificent view. Mortons in Portland has the potential for greatness...if they stepped it up.

The quality of food was amazing! The service was excellent! But I would expect nothing less from a place like this. It is expensive just a warning. There was 4 of us and we didnt finish 3 sides. The steaks were amazing! I would totally visit again!

Everything you’d expect from a famous steakhouse and no more. I particularly enjoyed the Gouda Potatoes and sure to order it again.

We absolutely loved everything about Mortons, the wine, dinner and desert was incredible. The service rocked, the atmosphere is romantic and/or classy in general. Great location with easy access to paid parking across the street too. This is the perfect place for a shnazzy date night. 🙌🏼

James and staff exceeded my expectations. Fine dining at its best. From the moment I reserved a table with request the experience was sensational. We ordered the bone in 22 oz ribeye, 6oz filet mignon mixed grill, grilled oysters and a chop salad. The french onion bread and whipped butter is heavenly but addictive. And the raspberry souffle was dreamy. Steaks cooked to perfection with the chefs achieving perfection carmelization on the steaks. Kudos to Mortons and their staff! I only wished all steakhouses model themselves after this establisment. An absolute heaven on earth.

The food and atmosphere is tops, love the new music at night too. Steve, the G.M is the best and always courteous and just a great guy.Lastly: Shane is one of the most consistent and best waiters in the country ! Yes the country, trust me I have been around in steak houses in the U.S. Shane treats people with true warmth and respect...... thank you to the entire staff.

Excellent food and exceptional service made for a memorable dinner

Morton has one of the best Steaks in Portland. We had Fillet Mignon and Cajun Ribeye. Both were delicious and perfectly cooked. The texture of the steaks was crispy outside and juicy inside, just like what we love. The sides and upgrades werr fabulous. The sides of Troy consisting sauted mushrooms and onion was very tasty. The service was top notch. We will definitely recommend it and go back again.

We got takeout from Mortons tonight. Food was absolutely top notch, steak, crab cakes orawns wedge and Ceasar salads and the best key lime pie weve ever had. So much care had gone in the packaging of the food and was done In such a meticulous way. Thank you for making our night Mortons. Hope to be able to celebrate there next time.

Steaks are the bomb, but the time in between courses was a bit long. Stay away from the chicken, it was pretty dry. The souffle was delightful. The service was impeccable, I think they were just a little busy and that was the problem. Im still going to recommend that you give this place a try.

The steaks are amazing, good variety and specials are spectacular. The ambience is great, wonderful selection of wines to go with your steak. I prefer my steak to be medium-well, found it to be a little dry, make sure and ask about textures for the best experience. Also, the price range for a steak can be anywhere between $50-$100. Be prepared for an average of $100 per person, but the quality makes the price worth it.

Went there last night for the first time. The food was good and the staff was great!

Basically, the restaurant is not bad, beautiful inside, the food is delicious and fresh, the waiters are really not very friendly, you come to the restaurant to relax and enjoy yourself and suddenly the children are shouting at the next table, at the other table people are laughing like horses, and no relaxation, plus the prices are unreasonably high, I will not go to this restaurant anymore!

The other day I dined here and tried their Prime Burger, which was a disaster. It was a beef patty that was about 2 inches thick with a thin piece of cheddar on the top. The outside of the patty was charcoaled up and tasted slightly burnt. I also ordered the steak which was average at best. And the Lobster Mac n cheese was good. That being said, it’s way overpriced for the quality of the dishes.

Absolutely amazing meal with beyond superior service. James provided us with one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I have ever had, no detail was overlooked and he truly made us feel like we were the only people there. Three of the four of us had special diet requirements and he catered to our needs with genuine care, letting us know of any ingredients that he thought may have been a concern and serving questionable items like the sauces on the side. The appetizers and steaks were fabulous and perfectly cooked. Everything was perfection, but I have to reiterate...sometimes service makes the meal and James was a highlight.

That server was cheery. We need more cheery. Appetizers & Drinks were divine. A favorite for after work meetings with clients and friends. I would like to have posted beautiful food and drink...Well the remnants tell the story. More engaged with people, food and drink than my phone. As it should be. #CustomerExperience

My history with this chain started in Pittsburgh. Top quality steaks and a high end well dressed clientele.My dinner tonight was so so. I did avoid all the upsetting having had experience with the huge portions. No chocolate lava cake!My steak was average. My jaw hurts from chewing right now. I have had way better steaks from the grocery storeI had been told that everyone in Portland looks homeless but some of them are quite wealthy. This comment was really true tonight. One woman was wearing a rastafarian hat and one guy looked like the sversge deer hunter with his gimme cap. Most people were in jeans. Sweatshirts or smilar grubby attire. I guess that its cool to look like a slob here

We celebrated my wife’s birthday everything was awesome no complaints drinks and meals were delicious my wife enjoyed everything and the staff was very nice and helpful I highly recommend this for a special occasion or date just to mention this restaurant is a high class which means prices are fairly high so keep in mind.
