Dindigul Thalappakatti is one of the most popular brands that stands serves  best dishes with amazing.  With a strong influence of traditional flavors, the taste in every dish will satisfy tastebuds for anyone.  While there is plenty of dishes in their menu, my favorite is definitely the Biryani.  They also plenty of starters & fresh fruit juices.Recently, I got to try some of the dishes from the brand and want to share my experience.Food ItemsThere were plenty of dishes to order but I stuck to ordering dishes that perfect fit the dinner needs for my family.Veg Jumbo Combo Biryani - This is one of the best Biryani you can order for a family of 2-3 adults.  The biryani has the traditional spices in it that adds the flavors to the biryani.  It has plenty of elaichi, fresh veggies that tingles your tastebuds when you put in your mouth.  They also give a nice gravy and south style Onion Raita that goes along very well.  A small bottle of coke is part of the combo, it goes well with the biryani.  The packaging is done very nicely with no spillage.Mushroom Manchurian - A dry start that is full of flavors that can be taken along with the biryani or just before that. The taste was quite good.  In the past I have tried the Baby Corn Manchurian thats pretty good.DrinksFresh Water Melon Juice  - This is probably the perfect juice that can be taken along with any meal. Its refreshing and light for the body.  The brand also had Fresh Lime Soda/Lime along with bottled drink options.The ambiance of DIndigual Thalapakatti Biryani at every outlet is very nice. It quite spacious and cleanly setup. The serving staff are very courteous and are always ready to help.Overall ExperienceIt was a great experience getting food from Dindigual Thalapakatti and enjoy it along with family. We all enjoyed the dishes and love to order it again. Infact, we have visited their outlets across the city and enjoyed dining in.  I would definitely recommend anyone to look at up to popular combos on the menu like Bucket Biryani Combo, Snack Box combo & Gunfire Chicken combo.I will rate my experience at 5/5 - Food / Packaging / Value for Money.

Delivered in for lunch. It was a chicken biryani as did not want to order mutton on a delivery especially since it is a long distance. It was good and it would definitely be better if had at the restaurant. All I can say is the word around this place might be for real and I will be looking forward to going in person soon.

Happen to visit this restaurant and tried few varieties. Aatukal soup hit my taste buds. Biriyani was so gud and the bbq chicken was pretty gud for the price. The service was also too gud at that time of the day we visited.

Dindigul thalappakatti was foodielicious place, with variety at it best, service was awesome , though it was very late at night. Bbq chicken was the best smoked dishes I had .

Recently ordered in from Thalappakatti Biryani who are very famous in making biryani and are originally from Dindigul, the biryani hub of South India. They have come up recently with Gunfire Chicken which is a spicy chicken piece in the shape of Gun and is very spicy as the use hand grounded red chillies. Really perfect for Andhraites like me. Their biryani is also legendary as they use seeraga samba rice which absorbs flavours nicely and is easy to digest. Great to know also that they are following all precautions while preparing and delivering food in these pandemic times. Definitely recommend Gunfire Chicken and Chicken Biryani!

Thalapa (a traditional head gear) worn by Mr. Naidu was where the brand derived the word Thalappakatti from.Coming to my order, I ordered the Veg Biryani, Paneer Chilli and Paneer 65. The Biryani is mind blowing here. The aroma, flavor, spices and the overall taste are something which enthrall your senses. The biryani at this restaurant are made using the superior quality Seeraga Samba rice. The hand ground masalas are prepared in-house, and they enhance the taste. This biryani is flavorful in every bite and highly recommended. The biryani comes with a salan and raita.The paneer dishes were equally good and tasty. Paneer was soft and scrumptious. I loved how it melted in my mouth. The Paneer Chilli was perfect with the capsicum while the Paneer 65 with its spices tasted delish.Food Taste – Perfect 10Packaging - The packaging is excellent and spill-proof. They clearly mention the temperature of the chef, food packer and delivery person on the package. I have been to Thalappakatti dine in at Indiranagar and totally love it, but this time we enjoyed the food from the comfort of our home.This time Ive tried the Mutton Biryani, Mutton chops and Gun fire chicken.>The packaging of the food items is well packed cause there is no leakage and beeyt eco friendly.>The mutton Biryani is tasty, meat is tender and the rice is rich in flavour and not ignore the quantity is generous.>The Gun fire 🔥 chicken is definitely fire in the mouth in a good way cause the pepper and spice from the Chicken will make your palate to want more of it.>The mutton chops is a must try dish here, it will be worth it.All in all, the biryani is what Im looking forward to eat again.

Love this place, would go here more often. These guys are maintaining their standards well during the pandemic. Felt safer here and didnt have to worry whether its safe, just concentrated on their delicious food.

Finally the much hyped biryani opened its branch at Kamanahalli. The biryani was good as expected and anticipated. The portion size is just right for one hungry person. There is usually a queue and once ordered they do take time to serve as well. The service though could have been better. We had to remind 5 times to get our drinks order as the starters served were a bit spicy especially for kids. Is worth a second visit just for the biryani and nothing else.

Prefer to go there if you are bored of regular biryanis. Ambience is good, no dedicated parking facility. You need to park your vehicle on road.

Its rare to find a restaurant which can provide you with authentic cousine of a place in southern part of India, and at the same time being so good in all items.The restaurant not only gives you the taste of Dindigul but it also has a general appeal of taste which is unique and creative.I recommend all mutton dishes here. Its spices keep the flavour of the meat and in conjunction with the aroma of the spices. Job well done. My best compliment to the chef and the owners for presenting us with this splendid cuisine of India.

They were out of mutton and chicken briyani by 9.had only chicken 65 briyani but taste wasnt as authentic as usual.. starter dishes were good. Alfham barbeque was the standout.. mutton sukka taste was awesome but quantity waa a bit too less for the price. I struggled to park my 2 wheeler but finally found under the building, there was good parking lot. They can place a direction board. As far as the ambience, it is good. I enjoyed the favourite mutton briyani. The boys over there were good and polite. Enjoyed the lunch along with my wife. I did not give 5 star due to some shortcoming found with Mutton Chops ordered by me. They did not bill me though. Next time let me get 100% satisfied to rate them 5*.

I ordered veg Biryani, but never expected I wil get a Kushka mixed with boiled vegetables. Food was just too spicy and nothing else. Most unethical ways of business noted in this restaurant... I ordered mutton biryani at 9:30pm... If there was no mutton biryani they could have removed the option from swiggy.. rather they delivered food with just 4 small pieces of mutton in the biryani and I had to pay 350rs + taxes for this. Very disappointed, and feel bad to leave this review as I have never commented ill of any deliveries I had through swiggy or Zomato.

Had eaten and did takeaways from their HSR branch couple of times, and everytime they are just so perfect.This brand traces its roots all the way back from 1957 when the owner Mr Naidu had started his small venture in DINDIGUL, and became famous because of the Thalapa head dress he used to wear, earning him the name of Thalapakatti Naidu.Their biriyani has the signature Seeraga samba rice, and meat obtained from top class breeds reared with utmost safety and set standards, so much that they have had audience with senior politicians to sandalwood actors like the legend Shivaji Ganesan!We had the Mutton biriyani, Gobi Manchurian and paneer chilly and I must say, as usual, they excel very well with the taste and portion sizeVery well sanitized place and wide range of options for both vegetarians and nonvegetarians, this brand is definitely here to stay.In fact after coming back, we decided to again order some starters from here, it was actually that good 👍Thats what they are, making people happy since 50+ years, highly recommended ❤

Different style biryani, but not a match for the original one. Also they dont prepare it fresh. They prepare at one place and distribute to all their outlets and then sell it from there.

This branch is thr worst in terms of service. We had to wait for our order for more than an hour. People who had come after us were being served. They had served us chicken lollipop which was stale and smelly.

Waste of money and time... Taste is ok but hotel management not maintained properly. To serve 3 Items took morethan 1 hr and very poor quantity...

The worst service I have seen. We went to thalappakati kalayan Nagar waited for half an hour to clean the table which was done forcefully. Even after cleaning the table it was stinking. After all this I was calling the hotel guy to take the order but every time he passes by will tell one min and take others orders. After 30 min we had to left the restaurant without having fud.

The authenticity of chettinad cuisine was upheld and every dish had an unique taste! The variety they have introduced in their menu is something that would attract people with different tastes. Quantity and service are the aspects they need to improve on.

Thalapakatti biryani is good only in Dindigul and not other cities. I ordered 2 mutton biryanis, gravy was spoiled. They gave biryani made in the afternoon for dinner

Food was tasty, good, but the staff was acting irresponsibly. Twice they got items those were not ordered by us. Our order was given to another table. Our order was served after a long wait of 53 minutes. Again one item we ordered was brought after we all washed our hands after having all other dishes.
