Despite being assured the fiber optic was exceptional if too many neighbors using internet service disrupted. 3 outages in 6 month period. Last outage reported on a Friday night. Told it was a billing issue, call back Monday. My bank account showed paid in full. On Monday it became a technical issue. Needed service on site. I had service turned off effective immediately.. Best experience with Bend Broadband was installers wore mask and booties, much appreciated. Also returning equipment, and despite poor customer service of agent angrily instructing customers in line to just leave hundreds of dollars worth of equipment at door if you dont want a receipt, I waited, got the one out of 2 agents who had excellent customer service skills. Got receipt validating 0 owed. Megan bed to the beach and real fiber optic service :).
NEW SERVICE. LOST COPY OF REQUEST PROOF OF LEASE, SENT SECOND TIME SAID THEY DIDNT GET IT AGAIN AND AFTER 20 MIN ON HOLD, MAGICALLY FOUND.. THIS WAS AFTER I SPENT HOUR AND HALF ON HOLD TO TALK TO SOMEONE.. COMPANIES ARE USING COVID AS EXCUSE TO CUT BACK ON SERVICES. SHOULDNT BE ACCEPTABLE TO ANY COMPANY.
The absolute worst customer service ever. I had tried to change my bank account on their website and it kept saying a payment is pending and wouldn’t accept my new payment method. So I called in… 10 days in a row on my lunch break for an hour each time. I never once was able to talk to a representative. Now my internet is off and I can’t talk to a human at all. I work from home and have to tether my cell phone connection.I am an IT professional and I deal with this company daily. Their lack of service and lack of any good standard operating procedures is clearly evident every single day. They are terrible. They have the best speed around but don’t ever expect to talk to a person or get help on time, or an appointment on time. It doesn’t happen for them. Poorly managed from the top down.
Called multiple times. Long hold times more often than not, and when I was finally connected I was told that my account wasnt authorized to pay my own bill—and they were unable to give me any answer as to why I couldnt. Its a shame that these folks took such a sharp turn for the worse, before they were bought by TDS they were A+
If I could give zero stars I would. The service is lacking in every aspect, from the customer service department, to the pricing for the actual internet service provider, 300mbps is in all reality about 100, they throttle the internet down, so you have to reset your modem every couple of days. God forbid you ask why your bill went up from one month to another, they will give you the run around, and then when you tell them you’re looking into other options they make it known they are the only “quality” internet service provider in the area. If it weren’t for the monopoly In the area this service would either change or crumble (and I hope it would crumble)
Just called and made my $340.00 payment to this co. yesterday. I spoke with 3 different people. A few days earlier, I was given a min payment price of 260.00. I called yesterday and was told there was no record of my conversation with the 260.00 person so my min. payment due was absolutely 340.00. That was annoying but what really started to make my blood boil was how I was spoken to. Not as a customer. No no. Like a judge was scolding me for burning down a city. By all, 3, reps. One of those was a supervisor. I asked her why she was talking so incredibly rude and said some other stuff about their complete lack of understanding how assisting customer’s works. I promise you, it was the complete opposite of customer service. When I mentioned that to the supervisor, she asked me to hold, 30 seconds went by, her line disconnected. They need to watch out because soon more options will come to Central Oregon and people will be more than happy to leave a company like this one for one that is able to get along with their customers.
HORRIBLE customer service!!!!! Our bill increased to $182 and the first representative told me it was because of a disconnection fee that I was told I would not be charged. She was condescending and argumentative, raise her voice and talked over me. I asked for a supervisor several times as she sat silent on the phone and then blind transferred me to an automated payment system. I finally got another representative on the phone and I asked to speak to a supervisor. She ignored that request and continued to ask who I was and I had to identify myself again. Then she sat silent as I asked for a supervisor about several times again and all she kept saying was What else do you need? I told her what I needed was a supervisor and when I asked for her name she blind transferred me to a forever hold line. I had to call back again, identify myself again and go through the whole story again. The whole customer service experience was atrocious with the exception of the last representative. The previous reps were RUDE and dont listen to customer needs. They just wanted me to make a payment and talked over me, interrupt me etc. One person tells me one thing and the next tells me something completely different!!! I spent an hour on the line with 5 different representatives and the last one was the only one that assisted me. (He was very patient, helpful and looked for a resolution) His colleagues could learn from him. I would give negative stars if I could as a whole and if I could go to another provider I would because the customer service is horrible. When a new provider comes to Bend, I am going to go with them if their service is acceptable because this service is way over priced and it turns off in the middle of watching a show constantly. I used to be a supervisor in a call center and the company I worked for would never allow the representatives treat customers the way I was treated.
Writing this review from my mobile hotspot because my internet cut out again, like it does about 20 times a day for ~5 minutes at a time. Two thumbs down.
Worst service Ive ever had. These guys are a joke. I took over a month for internet to be set up after 3 different visits. After numerous calls to their customer service department and speaking to 2 different supervisors they still werent willing to help. My girlfriend runs a business from our home that relies on online sales so we lost a months worth of revenue because of Bend Broadband. As soon as I can get another provider hooked up I will be cancelling with them.
Whats different between Bend Broadband and a dumpster?Nothing. Theyre both trash.Would be 0 stars if it was an option.
By far the worst customer service in the entire planet. Dont expect any apologies for their mistakes. Instead expect to be shut off for three days because of their own incompetency. They get away with it because of little competition in this area. I have not one single good thing to say of Bend Broadband. They have been terrible since I moved here in 1981 and have managed to get worse I am reluctant to give any stars
David came out the day after I called to fix a hardware issue that was damaged in a rainstorm. He diagnosed the issue quickly and everything has been working great ever since. Excellent customer service and a great guy all around. Cheers!
Service is great, when they dont throttle you down, make you reboot your modem about every 3 days & their billing. Whats out for their company liers, they will say anything to get you to hook up service, then they over bill you every month n nothing you can do except shut off your service.
The only reason Bend Broadband has ANY review score at all is because they do not give you a Zero Star selection. Simply put their rating of 1.6 Stars is WELL deserved! They are literally a Crooked organization from top to bottom and they HOLD the Town of Bend and the surrounding areas hostage being the ONLY choice for internet here. They feel this gives them the ability to absolutely mistreat people daily! Just read the reviews! They are ABSOLUTELY true on every level! For three weeks now I have been trying to return their equipment they keep charging me for! 2 weeks in a row I went down to their head office that states it is open and they were closed. Once time they had a sign on the window that said gone for lunch back at 1pm so I came back at 1pm to find a new sign that said Sorry closed for the day. So I complained and they said well send you a prepaid box to send the equipment in. It arrived as stated and I placed the items in the box and took it to the post UPS as requested and low and behold the box was shipped right back to my address! So this is the scam they run! They just keep charging me for equipment that I cant actually physically return to them!
I imagine the customer service training at BBB goes something like this: Hey team, weve got another big day of customer complaints due to our lack of tact and professionalism, but dont worry, they dont really have an option so just play on your phone and wait for them to hang up, ok good talk But seriously, this company has absolutely no interest in improving their reputation at all. They could care less that one person says one thing, then does another. You are completely indefensible against them. Sent to collections for $20 after I was ensured I had no balance remaining. If you can find a better option do it.
I wont bother repeating what others have said about this except its pathetic. If you have an alternative, take it!
If youre a gamer who loves connection drops causing your game to freeze, then this is the service for you! Youll even have the awesome opportunity to lose rounds because of the sudden, consistent drops in bandwidth. The good news is, connection drops will be consistent even if youre paying for higher speeds and use only a fraction of your maximum usage limits.Enjoy and game on jbhkyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy(forehead resting on the keyboard)
I have been a customer for nearly a decade. Their customer service has left something to be desired at every interaction. They have sent installers who never arrived or called, only to have to reschedule for weeks later. Theyve charged for full months when only providing a couple weeks of service. Im glad Im leaving the area to not have to deal with their lies any longer.
My husband and I had some equipment updated. Upon them bringing the new equipment they ended up changing our phone number and removing our long distance calling capabilities. I got our old phone number back, but here we are 4 days later we still cant make a long distance phone call I have called and called. They say its an outage. They asked me to call them back if it doesnt start working. I have spent a total of 45 minutes on hold between two calls. This is very frustrating..
Currently that was the most professional installer! and the fastest connection to a service Ive ever seen? By a young man who was flat out into his work. Within minutes he handed me my drone remote and I was wifi-connected to everything! Even got high territory ranger Roy an Oregon wilderness Poacher Hunter out there in every condition imaginable! live GoPro Arrests! with a fast strong 5 bar signal... Great sound ! Night vision... YahoooFive golden stars. Ranger Roy
Excellent internet speed and good channel selection. Customer service is truly lacking
Whoever was sent to set up this wifi while I was out of town, did not give me any information on how to connect to it. I called support only to be greeted with someone who knew no more than I did on the situation. I was out on hold for around 5 minutes, and then I was hung up on, probably because whoever was helping me didn’t know how to help. I would give less than 1 star if possible
Definitely the worst company I have dealr with over the years. Could care less about their customers. They have outsourced their customer service and it shows. Too bad. They were good at one time.
Dont waste your time on their website or over the phone. Go to their lobby in Bend. The Customer service people are excellent and the only way to get things fully resolved.
Really poor customer service and unknowledgeable support team. Came back in town to find that our service wasnt working. When I called support, the person told me that we had previously gone over our data limit and had been charged for the overage. She then said it was likely that because we went over the data package, our internet service had been cut off. I had her try to clarify a couple of times why after charging us for going over the data package limit, we would be cut off. She then went on to say that the overage occurred a week earlier. After checking our account, it actually occurred a month earlier, so nothing really made any sense.Cant wait until CenturyLink comes to our neighborhood!
If I could give zero stars, I would, they dont even deserve one star. They make errors in their billing and pass the mistakes on the customer and offer no resolution other than pay what they demand for their poor cable service and slow internet speeds. If you can go with any other provider, I would encourage you to do so, any other service would have to be better, I cant imagine being worse than BendBroadband.
Impossible to reach anyone in customer service!!! Cant go online, phone tree HELL, just loops and loops until you die of old age or give up. Not sure if there are any humans working at Bend Broadband. Have been trying without success to get correct equipment since my initial install date in March - since I cant get thru, it is impossible to correct. This is the WORST COMPANY ever seen for customer service
I am nearing an hour and a half on the phone with them just trying to cancel my tv and confirm my new monthly bill amount for internet only. Most of that time I’ve been on hold. Their customer service seems to get worse each time I contact them. Being on hold has given me time to research other internet providers in the area. My next call will be to cancel my service.
This is the worst company, in any industry, with the worst service, that I have ever experienced. I work in customer service and have never left a poor review.
This year has been a horrible an absolute nightmare with bend broadband. I have had 8 tech services guys come out to fix our internet, it works for 24 hours or so, then right back at it again with the problems. I disconnected after my issues not being resolved. Highest asking price in this area and cant even hold up to the standards.
I’ve had BB off and on since 1993 and actually it was pretty good. Nice people who tried to help. Phone got answered by a real person in a reasonable amount of time.. Tech folks were actually problem solvers. Well, you get the idea. Megacorp buys them and it is the opposite.Just horrible. All that good stuff I mentioned above……..gone…..as in polar opposite.Update 7/5/21: A field technician came to our home when the phone support could not figure it out. Local tech was great. He fixed a number of infrastructure hardparts. Explained everything very clearly. Works great now. I am getting the bandwidth I am paying for.
My auto pay didn’t go through because i closed bank account. We called and made a payment on a Monday afternoon and it never got turned on. Called Tuesday and they said payment didn’t go through so I made a second payment. They promised it would be on by 5pm. Still didn’t work. Called again and the tech said call at 7pm if it doesn’t come on. Called again at 7pm and it said office closed. Basically tech told me to call after hours so he wouldn’t have to deal with it. Called Wednesday and they told me that the payment was charged twice. They will refund within a week and also said internet is on. The call center is a joke. I made 5 calls average 30 to 45 minutes. Local company but not the call center. Hopefully I have internet when I get home as this is the 3rd day of no internet.
Miss football more often than not on Sundays because FOX is always freezing an cutting out!! As soon as I can go back to DISH, the better my life will be even if it’s more expensive.
This is the WORST tv service provider I have ever had the displeasure of having in my entire life. They are over priced, horrible customer service, lack of options, constantly cust out, and has a monopoly on the area so there is no competition. I am considering back to an antenna over staying with this company!
We werent home when the service man followed up to our call. All our problems had been resolved over the phone, but he noticed some extra wiring around the outside of the house and called us and let us know that he recommended to take it out because the fiber optics are coming in. So he did all that work and left us a nice note while we were gone and we thought that he was fully trustworthy and did a good job.
I have been on the phone for half hour waiting for someone to answer. Worse customer service ever as far as responsiveness. No operator, not enough employees to accommodate problems. I would not suggest this company. I have had their service for 11 years and never had to call in. I am glad my service questions werent an emergency. I am driving to their office to see if in person service is any better!
Unprofessional unorganized couldnt be more disappointed in the local dogs. This is how they left my property flags everywhere and said they were all done 5 months later......
Every time Ive went, there is a line at the door. They take 1 at a time but are usually very fast. Dog ate my remote so needed a replacement and wasnt charged for it. Pleasantly surprised!
Lived here over 17 years and we’re STUCK with BBB in Bend (legal monopoly) They are awful, just AWFUL!!! Always a miserable experience: unknowledgeable staff, deceptive ‘speed’ claims, inconsistent information, and outright lies! Most recently, I was told that if I bundled, we would save $30/month (because we always pay the overage fee). We learned that wasn’t the case once the technician got here and he spoke with them. Additionally, the woman on the phone who convinced me to bundle stated that they would add a hard-wired phone line and I could keep my personal modem (all their products SUCK and are outdated). Once the tech arrived I was told I couldn’t get an actual hard-wired phone line but would have to use AND RENT one of their modems. After a call to the company by the tech, it was revealed that in bundling I would actually pay $11 more a month PLUS the rental cost of their modem. I didn’t even bother to ask the cost of that as I know BBB well enough not to trust anything they say. Side note: years ago I returned a modem which they claimed they never got and charged me over $400 for. After months of no hope, I finally found the tracking info from UPS and guess what… they received it 3 days after I shipped it. STILL, they claimed they hadn’t gotten it. After many calls (and hours of my time & many rude employees) they finally accepted the PROOF from the ups receipt and credited my account. However, they REFUSED to contact the credit agency so it still screws up my credit to this day!!!
Been without internet for over a week. Was no-showed by technician several times. A very nice guy finally came out and “fixed” the issue. Still no functioning internet more than a week later. All I’m ever told when I call is that there’s an “outage” and there is no estimated time for repair. They have a monopoly on internet in this area and it really seems like they really don’t care about their customers. The price is way too high for horrible customer service and horrible product. Even before this “outages I never got the internet speed I was paying for.I feel like I’ve been scammed.
The MOST difficult business to get ahold of on the phone. Today we waited over an hour to get an answer and then put on hold!!!
Probably the worst internet service provider company I’ve ever used. Outages every other month. No communication. Won’t admit to anything. Comcast would be better. Good luck out there buddy. You’re gonna need it.
Such a bummer that it is the only option to choose from. Lack of care for customers in every aspect. It is really difficult to understand why a company would treat the city it serves like it does.
Terrible customer service and I dont trust them at all. I have asked four times now (three phone calls and an email) for an email confirming my internet will be cancelled on a certain day, with information on returning the equipment, and to explain my final bill. Nothing. They keep saying: Youll get an email the day its cancelled. Why is it so hard to send an email confirming cancellation beforehand so I know its being done?
Overall, good internet. Expensive cable packages. Customer service over the phone is hit or miss depending on who you speak too. I reccomend if you have an issue to drive to the establishment and speak someone in person. It is well worth it.
Their policies and practices are atrocious. They charge you to come out and inspect their incredibly unreliable and overly expensive service. Truly a disgusting company, will be avoiding at all costs in the future.
Just recently moved to Bend and have been trying to get internet service for almost 7 weeks now. I work from home and need fast internet so bend broadband is our only choice in the area.I will attempt to keep it short, but we have been no-showed on twice, but when I called to find out where they were they had a reason but NO ONE called to notify me. We finally were rescheduled for the 3rd time to install on 7/7 and then they had a massive outage all over the city and couldnt come again. Totally understandable and beyond their control. I get it. However when I called back to reschedule I was told the next available install date was 7/15! Are you kidding?! They put me on a cancellation list to see if we could get it done before then, but the fact that after everything that has happened, I still was not prioritized or given any solutions was disheartening. I cannot believe this is the only choice we have in the area.
Worst internet service EVER. We experience issues at least weekly at home and at work. It is absolutely insane that this is the only option in the area
The internet speeds are no where near what you pay for and the equipment they give you is garbage. I have had to call numerous times and they send a tech out and solve nothing.
Terrible. Their tech support was polite and helpful but their sales team needs help. Different people gave different answers. No customer service. Rude.
Scam artist!! I paid my bill monthly and they cut off our services and told us we have to re-run our credit and pay what we owe on the bill but we paid it monthly! They bill 2 months at a time but when you pay only one month at a time like the rep Susan Chappell told me to do, They will still shut it off and cancel your contract.Worst company I have ever dealt with!!You can not get them on the phone and if you do it’s someone over seas that can’t understand what you are saying.... shame on this company!I do not recommend this company at all!!!
New to Bend and I ignored all the accurate bad reviews on this company. This is just almost illegally bad service. It is unbelievable that a basic service company can just be allowed to operate in this way.Two multi-hour outages (10 hours and counting) in less than a week of service and horrible customer service, if you can get anyone on the phone.
They have the WORST customer service and billing system I’ve ever dealt with. If there was an option for a half a star I would do that. For being an Internet Company, their IT is unbelievably terrible. I got double billed for 2 months at the same address, the auto pay doesn’t work, I still get calls to pay for my old address. I’ve spoken with a dozen “customer service representatives” and have to repeat the same issues over and over but they don’t seem to have any internal communication abilities. Cannot wait for any other full speed internet company to show up to Central Oregon.
Unreliable service is overpriced with limited support for internet outages. Weve been customers for an only several weeks and have already experienced 5 hours long internet outages including 3 lasting more than 4 hours during the work day. Outage reported at 8PM on a Saturday with a technician scheduled to visit on Wednesday morning when its obviously unacceptable to leave a customer without service for over 4 days. Experience with the company is consistent with other reviews that have been provided. Strongly recommend looking for an alternative ISP.
NOTE; Despite the name, this is NOT a local company. Its part of a much larger company which probably causes the poor customer service.I ordered installation of bendbroadband on March 9. Unfortunately, there werent any openings for installation until today (March 25). Since I had errands to run, I called to check what time the installation would occur. Instead of receiving a time for installation, I was told that nothing had yet been scheduled because they hadnt verified my information. Instead of emailing me, contacting me by phone, or even putting an alert on my account page (as I was able to create an account after I ordered the service), I had to get in touch with them on the day my installation was scheduled. No sorry for the lack of communication on their part, no effort to fix things.I decided to cancel the service before the installation since who knows when the installation would actually occur. Its frustrating that a business can be so uncommunicative and just allow the installation date I selected to come without contacting me. Im guessing this is representative of how horrible future service would be and decided to take my money to another company.
Sloppy work installing utility boxes in neighborhood and damage/kill landscape. No regard for others property.
Like many of these other reviewers, I’m frustrated by BB’s poor quality service and issues with payments/billing. Would not recommend.
Terrible customer services, rather expensive for what ur getting, internet feels throttled, outages, rip-off
Bend Broadband under TDS gives all cable companies a really bad name. Poorly run, not customer friendly and extremely untrustworthy. Be careful… any option to TDS is safer and better.
Why is my cable out it’s Tuesday night and I just want to watch South Park...?
Spent an hour on the phone 10 days ago trying to set up autopay, was assured that my by the admittedly friendly service person that I was all paid up, but now when I check my account, it shows that I currently owe for two months service. When it comes to contacting them on the phone, your best bet, time-wise, is to simply drive down to their office, where youll find service representatives leaning on their elbows wholl laugh out of sympathy for you when you tell them the problems youre having. They can fix things up for you though, and when you ask them how they are going to make it up to you for all the time that you had to waste, sometimes they can help you with that too. But yes, for a company whos main selling point used to be that they were local they sure sold out quick enough, didnt they ?
Took me 2 weeks to be able to a make my payment and over the phone customer service is horrible. Finally went in office directly to make payment. Which I was told was closed but was not. Persona there was super friendly and took my payment. Internet works well no issues there its there customer service bad
This is the worst internet service. Constant outages. Paying for the 100mbs and maybe getting 20 or 30 on a good day.If you can use someone else I recommend looking elsewhere. I am tepaped having to use them like most of Bend.
If I could provide a negative review, I would... This company is honestly the worst. I cant tell you how many times Ive sat on the phone with support and gotten nowhere, as well as severe attitude from the representative. Nor how many times Ive had to argue with someone over how much they were trying to charge us after we reactivated our seasonal service. And each time they reactivated our seasonal service in advance of our arrival, it didnt work and we have to call in and spend 30-60 minutes with technical support going through the same rigamarole every single time. They are absolutely complacent because theyre one of the only games in town... I really wish Xfinity would come here!
If I could give a 0 star I would. Bend Broadband has an absolutely atrocious business and has THE WORST internet. Way back when I had dial up it worked better than this garbage. What exactly are we paying for if the internet is out nearly everyday? I have multiple outages a day/week at my home while trying to work and constant video throttling via streaming. As I am writing this my internet is once again completely OUT and has been for literally multiple hours right in the middle of a work day.For a company who claims that they have blazing fast and reliable high speed internet all I see is false advertising. I havent been this frustrated and unhappy with a business in an extremely long time.I would 1000% not recommend BB. This business absolutely lacks any sort of customer service and has no interest in improving their quality of service.
Prices are outrageous! And, I’ve had to call customer service several times for billing problems. Except for one time when the lady was very nice and very helpful (I wish I got her name and then wrote B.B. saying that she’s the example the company needs to follow!), every other agent has the attitude that they couldn’t care less about my problem, because you’re going to keep sending us money as long as you need internet or want TV. And, we’ll charge you as much as we want and you just have to deal with it!I know they can just bend us all over and stick it to us however they want now, but I can always hope there will be competition for them soon.
Just try to contact the local office, good luck with that. What a bunch !
If I could give zero stars I would. They claim to have fast reliable internet and that couldnt be further from the truth. If you want to be able to use 5G you have to be within 10 ft of the router box. It still doesnt work at that point. You have to reset your router every single day multiple times a day. Your internet and cable go out daily at random times. They will claim that they dont see any problems on their end and that can not be true . I wish we had more options where we lived for internet and TV services but unfortunately we dont so were stuck with terrible internet and cable. Not to mention we pay a small fortune to be able to use these services that are never seeming to work.
Maybe if they spent less money on billboards and more money on good internet and customer service, they could make it to at least 2 stars. This company is a monopoly and literally anyone else who starts an internet company here would be better than Bend Broadband.
Typical ISP shenanigans. Good luck
Horrible. I got charged for unreturned equipment because their office was closed during regular business hours therefore making it impossible for me to drop it off and then they failed to mail my box to me to return it after repeated requests to do so. Go with Bendtel or Centurylink is my advice to you. These bums (Bend Broadband) shouldnt be in business.
I’ve been overcharges numerous time with no explanations, extra charges just show up on my bill without telling me what they were even for. When I called to talk about the charges on my bill I was met with the same rehearsed answer over and over again no matter how Many questions I asked. After months of frustration I finally decided to cancel my internet because it couldn’t handle the inconsistency and inability to get my questions answered. Upon canceling my account I payed off all my charges and returned their router (which I had already payed for) but I just wanted to be done dealing with them. 2 weeks later I get a letter in the mail sayin that I owe them $142 in additional charges and unreturned equipment fees. This company is a total scam and thrives off of ripping people off, take you business and time elsewhere in my opinion they aren’t worth the energy. Incredibly disappointed and frustrated and will never refer people to them
I just tried to make a comment, but the SUBMIT button disappeared. My complaint was the loss of AMC. This is not the first time channels just get dropped. Very disappointing.
Typical bad cable company. Poor service and high prices. Seem to be utterly and hopelessly oblivious of how bad they are, and how much they need to change.
Overpriced Monopoly. The service stinks and I deal with regular outages. If I had $5 every time my service went out, Id get free internet every month
Pretty expensive service that has been spotty from the start. Calling customer service immediately diverts you to a call center in Jamaica where no one has any idea whats going on 🤦. Id usually blame poor customer service on the parent company (TDS Cable in this case), but calling tech support after business hours actually got me in touch with someone from TDS in the Midwest who was incredibly knowledgeable and got me a technician scheduled ASAP after performing remote testing on my bad connection.Neither the FTC or the FCC is going to do anything to impose antitrust regulation or otherwise force old school telecommunication companies to stop abusing their monopolies. So we just have to patiently wait for fiber to make its way to Central Oregon...
They dont let you cancel youre service online. You have to call and wait on hold for 20 minutes just to say you dont want to continue. That is absolutely ridiculous
Terrrrrrrible internet service. Drops so often. Very disappointed with this company. I miss my centurylink service
Snorting a line of powder arsenic would be a better experience than calling them. Incompetent doesnt begin to describe their customer service.
I want to like Bend Broadband but its hard to when the service is so bad. Customer service is decent but Im on a low income plan thats meant for families who have kids in online learning. Low income shouldnt mean we get the worst service. This is our fourth time being on this program and its worse than its ever been. Our service was almost better when we lived in the forest. How are my kids supposed to stay connected with such terrible service when the program is for them? It just doesnt make sense. 👎🏼
I have had nothing but issues from them and when you call to resolve any issues no one seems to know anything. Will be cancelling after this last issue is resolved.
Run far and fast. They will mess up your bill every month and trying to get them to fix it will require you to either stay on the phone for hours or call multiple times. Then when you get your next bill it may or may not be right.
Just use a different internet provider, itll save you a lot of hassle and money..Youll waste your time getting in a call with them to resolve the issue, their internet services proves to be nothing but non-innovative..
Tried for more than 2 hours and multiple phone calls to update my credit card info.Apparently Bendbroadband has been bought by a company in CO.Customer support is not able to navigate, any better than I was, the multiple redirects that line the path to complete actions as simple as updating credit card information. What a cluster
Terrible customer service. Frequent and constant outages. Speeds are NEVER near what they claim or what you pay for.
Absolutely no customer service. Ive had this company on and off for the past 10 years. The only reason Im a returning customer is because there isnt other choices for the internet need. This company uses this to their advantage. Not only do they have the worse customer service, they are sneaking with there billing. For example: I set up auto for my account and everything was fine for the first three payments. Two months after those first three, I received an email saying that the account was behind by two month and I though that was weird because of the auto pay. I then proceed to try to log into the online account. (Had username and password saved on to my computer) I could not log into my account. I could not use my recover email to try and get into it. They when you call you get put on hold for an hour. Still have not been able to reach this company. I was not notified my account was randomly removed from auto pay. I can not get into my account/talk to someone to figure out why there is over 100 in just late fees alone for 2 month. They know they are the only company around CO that offers the services they do and they take advantage of their customer. This is my last straw Id rather pay verizon 200 a month for extra hotspot and LTE services then continue to deal with this BS.
So, who was the brilliant engineer who decided to change the remote so that when one wants to fast forward or rewind you have to push the button and and then the select button to execute the action. For the second time, I am underwhelmed--not only with this slight inconvenience, but at least twice a week everything freezes and wont move until we do a hard reset! Come on--REALLY???? You can do better!
Janelle in customer service was awesome! She was very helpful getting us set up with the right package, got us a technician scheduled way sooner than expected and was a pleasure to speak to as we got everything set up. Thank you for all your help, Janelle and good luck with your upcoming baby!
My experience with Bend Broadband was entirely negative. Customer service sucks. I came in to cancel my TV service because it is over priced and offered fewer channels than other companies. I cancelled 5 days into my July billing cycle and was charged for the entire month. They are a subscription service and DO NOT PRO-RATE! I saw six customers in the lobby returning equipment. Could they be unhappy customers too? I will be cancelling my internet service soon!
The customer service is SO bad. I tried calling to get a quote today because I was planning on switching to BBB’s fiber. I got an offer in the mail. The customer service lady was obviously having a bad day. She was being so rude. Then she she told me she had to put me on hold. I was on hold for 10 minutes, then she hung up on me. My husband tried calling back and got a different lady who was being very short with him and barely spoke English. This lady also ended up hanging up on him. We finally got a lady on the third try who was helpful. She told us that the company contracts their customer service people from out of state and country. So it makes sense why our experience was so bad. We decided not to go with them after learning this. I can imagine we’d have a future full of headache with this company.
The phone menu repeatedly dumps you in limbo and this is for new service. Already excited to engage with these guys.. 😒
Terrible internet! Terrible customer service! Also, 3 techs responded in the past week and they were clueless.
We had a bad wind storm, taking down a tree and our internet/cable line. We called at 6:30pm the night it happened and the internet was fixed by 10am the next day. Customer service was thorough and we were called back that evening after putting in a request. Dylan, our technician was friendly and efficient. Thankful for their service!
They can do absolutely nothing about off services after closing so many other companys manage to be able control services after hours but not them apparently.
No email communications regarding bills, no payment online, $4 to pay by phone, tier 1 customer service representatives are poorly trained, impolite, and unintelligible, and they’re too expensive. Half a star if I could.
Id give them lower than 1 star if I could. The customer service is awful, the internet is constantly down, when they come to fix it they do absolutely nothing but shut off your internet for 6 hours and the problems are still there.Worst company Ive ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Id say stay away but its the only internet company in Bend!
If I could leave a zero-star review I would. The Arris modems they lease to customers are broken with respect to port forwarding. Most people dont need this, but I am a programmer and internet developer.I called (twice) and politely explained that the modem management software allows you to add a port forwarding rule, but does not set it correctly. And then on refresh, it just deletes it! = Broken!Their customer support person directed me to call the modem manufacturer and get them to support it. I was dumbfounded by this. But I did, and they immediately refused to help, because I did not purchase the modem from a retailer, and to call my provider. When I called BendBroadband back and re-explained my issue, I was told that they could not assist me at all. When I asked to be directed to the place where I could lodge a complaint about this problem of the company offering equipment that cannot be supported, I was told that there is no such thing. When I asked the supprt person to clarify that my complaint would not indeed be cared about by anyone up the chain, she said Correct. This is poor at best.
Every-time I have to call them, its a 1 hour to two hours turnaround to handle a simple request, or trouble shoot. Today, after being on the phone for .30 minutes regarding change of address... I was disconnected. I know its not the operators fault. This is just a huge problem with Bend Broadband and there customer support system. Awful
Internet isnt the best tv comes n goes reception wise not the best looking some awesome channels right now bot sure if pe6 r aware??
