Came to Chutneys with my family for my childrens grandfathers birthday. It was the first time coming to an Indian restaurant. The interior design of the inside of this restaurant is gorgeous. Its a very small cozy dinning atmosphere. Rich sturdy strong tables and Ambient lighting. The food was fresh and exotic. Most of us went with Lamb Biryani rice and Lamb Rikki Masala and to drink Shirley Temples and Mango Lassi. Mango Lassi is like a smoothy with yogurt and a few spices. The drinks we got were a little sour. My friend who has been to Chutneys alot said normally they put more sugar in them. I still really enjoyed the taste and went well with my Lamb Biryani. The waitress was kind and attentive. The manager came to our table to make sure everything was in order.I think the only thing that could use a little work is several things were not available for desert however right now with supply chains backed up due to dealing with COVID19 for so long I dont think this restaurant would ever had this problem under normal circumstances.
The food is amazing,!! Everything is cooked to order, and cooked to perfection. We had such a great experience, the owner was extremely nice, we never ate here before and didnt know what to order, so we asked for his advice and he took care of our order, just delicious! Very clean and inviting atmosphere. I cant wait to go back when the buffet is back up and running. Even though its almost an hour drive for me, it is definitely worth it!! Thank you to all the cooks and staff as well!!!
Ordered on Doordash, waited over 1 hour and was informed the order was cancelled. Called restaurant and they said the order was completed and there’s nothing to be done. No food arrived. Very disappointed. Will not try again.
Who puts grean peas in chicken biryani? Why don’t you advertise that in your description if you choose to do that? You guys are sending veg pulao with chicken in the name of biryani.
Good lunch buffet. We enjoyed quite a bit. Nothing super wowing but good.
Owner sits on a table and keeps on playing chess on his iPad. Can you please check the biryani recipe on YouTube once? they simply add biryani masala and put Channa masala into the rice and thats veg biryani for you.. The worst veg biryani I have ever had on this planet. Naan and curries are good - keep it up there.Request to the owner - Please re-consider the pricing. Chutneys is the most expensive restaurant in Bellevue and food is just okay. Rates should be cut down by 50% at least when compared to other similar restaurants in Bellevue.
One of my favorite places to get Indian food in the Bellevue area. Nothing on the menu will disappoint you. Went in to dine recently and my only complaint is that I felt the table service was too over-the-top. I find it distracting to be in the middle of a conversation only to be frequently interrupted by someone checking in on how things are and to refill waters that are only half empty. I recognize this is entirely a preference of my own and might be a nice thing to someone else. Otherwise, very friendly service, delicious food, and a comfortable atmosphere!
Service was great, food was bland to what I was expecting. Not that it didnt have flavor but like it was super lightly seasoned for people that think katchup is too spicy for them.
Staff didnt wear masks or gloves while handling (directly touching) my food.
I LOVE Chutneys! The staff is super welcoming & very informative about what to try and how it would taste as per your taste buds. Not just the non vegetarian but the vegetarian food is highly flavorful. I love the eggplant bharta, Paneer tikka masala, tava paratha, Chicken tikka sizzling platter, Chicken Tikka masala and many more. Chutneys desserts are so great as they are not super sugary as typical Indian desserts are. If you love those yummy curries that taste awesome but are even more flavorful the next day at lunch, try this place!P.S. Do try the garlic & basil naan & milk pudding called Kheer. Its so yummy!
Good costume service excellent service food very teste nice place in Seattle area
The food is always delicious. Great selection of vegetarian and meat dishes cooked to perfection.
Excellent food and service. A little more pricing ordering from menu vs the buffet.
Expensive and need to improve more staff and indian beer collection
Location was easy to find. Parking was hard to figured out.Food was good.
Disgusting food. I ordered the tandori mixed grill platter. It was the worst mixed grilled platter I have ever had. Infact, I had to throw it away, I could not eat it. It was disgusting. I ordered take-out. No idea how they are still in business with such disgusting food.
Best Indian food in Bellevue, they charge extra for rice which is annoying.
Great place great food plus Bill is the best host and great service
Everything was delicious, the waiters and the owner were all very nice, its a pretty place, and it smelled good and fresh. The appetizers (vegetable samosas and paneer pakoras) could have been a little more flavorful, but the sauces easily made up for that. All of the dishes we had were fantastic and the spice level wasnt surprising. I cant wait to eat some of the leftovers!
Super bad experience. They were charging us extra for the food we didn’t even ordered. When I saw the receipt and i noticed the items we didn’t ordered. They started apologizing. The food quality wasn’t good its way too expensive.I won’t come here again.
Great hot Naan, Tandoori chicken and Seafood Biryani. Average Chai and Okla curry. Nice decor.
Amazing food, if you like it spicy or not, clean, quiet and exlent service.
Very nice inside, great food and affordable! They were so nice and even accommodated a specific meal request most other places wouldnt. Highly recommend.
Average food. No presentation skills. Poor service. I am not sure whats the hype of this restaurant with overpriced menu.To your reply: I dont know those thousand customers sorry.Regarding overpriced, your prices are not worth the food and presentation. One can quote double the prices, if it is worth then it is totally fine. Currently yours is NOT worth. Good suggestion to customer from you : to check the pocket before going. Just wow!
My favorite Indian food ever. You won’t find any other Tikka Masala like it. Eat here, bring friends, and tell everyone- we must keep this place open at all costs. Open 21 years and just as good today as when my parents started eating here when I was crawling.
Great food and very friendly service
Ordered Mixed Grilled Platter, Lamb biriyani and Kasmiri Kofta via Uber Eats on Feb 12,2021. Kasmiri Kofta was good but the other two items were ordinary in terms of taste. Quantity was very less compared to price they charge. Not happy with quality and quantity of food compared to the price they charge. Not planning to order again from Chutneys.
Worst Indian food i have ever eaten. Tandoori chicken was the worst.
Great food and reasonable prices. Got chicken tikka masala, lamb biryani and the naan. All were delicious!! Highly recommend. Will be back!
Great food. Friendly service by owner Bill Ji. Iam amazed to see the yummy quality of food stay the same consistently over the period of years. Thank You.
Food was super flavorful and appetizing. Ordered the rack of lamb and halibut. Very nice atmosphere as well. Great ambiance, will be back!
Great food and great service - so nice and accommodating! Ordered pick up and it was great and very filling.
Only two small samosas for $9! Small dishes, vegetable dish had hardly any vegetables. Chicken was tough. The naan wasn’t warm or fresh. The chai wasn’t sweet, no refills, and the rice pudding wasn’t cooked properly!
I love this place! By far hands-down best Indian food on the east side! Go with confidence. Run don’t walk.
Im from new york and tried plenty of indian food.Eating at chutneys blew all other restaurants away.Super clean and recently remodel. The owner is super friendly and funny.Real taste of India, right on the corner.5 stars across the board.
Great Indian food.
Amazing food. Loved the gravy. Its all so creamy.
Its the worst experience i have.I don’t consider this as Indian restaurant as menu is somewhat hybrid and it doesn’t suits to anything. Those who have felt better, must have tried the other real indian desi restaurantsI won’t recommend this to anyone for the price and menu
Id give 20 stars if it were possible. I love the food, ambience & the team here! They are super kind, friendly & very cooperative. I had my surprise birthday celebration with my close friends last Friday & Billji & team made it a spectacular experience for all of us. From following the covid guidelines, to accommodating last minute guests, to suggesting the right menu for everyone, to the cake cutting mess we all made. I cannot thank them enough! Cheers Chutneys team! We will be back soon once this horrid covid passes away.
Amazing food and amazing service!
Not worth for money. I thought as this is an expensive place, they might atleast have quality food, but NO. So much cream in Palaak Paneer and palaak was faded green in color, not fresh, not authentic. I am fed up of these cream based curries. Not worth.
For our first time at Chutneys, my wife and I had a good dinner here. We ordered few dishes, but everything tasted fresh and great. I will definitely come back here for a second tasting.
Their owner is extremely friendly, always makes sure everything is right. I recently ordered takeout and accidentally asked for the wrong item - they fixed it and gave me the right item no charge.Ive been here for dinner a few times, would recommend it to anyone - especially for a date night.
Such a wonderful and welcoming staff, food is amazing and fresh. Like eating at a 5- star restaurant. Buffet style so its easy to take a lunch break from work. Love it there.
Chicken Tekka (boneless) is to die for. No idea how I didnt discover this before. This is different from chicken tekka masalla. It is right below chicken tandoori in the menu. I was super impressed.
Biriyani could have had more big chunks of meat. As a Desi - the flavor is on the milder side. Very good though. Host is super friendly
Chutney’s is finally back! After the long wait I can finally go eat at the best restaurant in the Bellevue area once again! Support your local business!
Comfy chairs, nice hosts, and clean new space - but thats about the only good things I can say here. The buffet foods were familiar names but all tasted overly sweet, had really runny sauces, and just simply just did not taste right. It felt like what Americanized Chinese is to Chinese food. And not cheap, either! We should have driven a few minutes to Redmond instead.
Delicious food! best indian food we have had in Washington state :) on top of that, the service is very friendly and welcoming. Ohhhh yesss, we will be back!
Amazing service and food! The whole experience was top notch!Such a great atmosphere! The Manager was such a warm and friendly person!
We went the other day with some friends and had such a great time! Food was really, really good - we all loved the spiciness! Everyone there was so nice and went out of their way. We will definitely be back!!
Incredible food and service!!!
The BEST total food experience EVER. We first discovered Chutneys 20 years ago, and have been addicted ever since. Starting with the aroma of spices that wafts in the air as you enter, to the perfect combination of soft music, low lighting, and beautiful decor*, these elements combine to create the perfect ambiance, and set the mood for an amazing experience. (*Made even better since their recent remodel). Quite often, we are warmly greeted and graciously welcomed by owner, Bill Khanna, ever the charismatic and accommodating host. Handsome and hospitable nephew Ravish, bends over backwards to provide impeccable service, offering menu recommendations, accommodating special diet restrictions, always ensuring that the entire experience is memorable. But the best is yet to come. The menu offers an impressively wide selection of tantalizing dishes that never disappoints. The true marvel is how these chefs consistently create such culinary masterpieces, year after year. Each dish is a heavenly symphony of spices, ingredients, colors, and textures that creates a culinary explosion of flavor--the experience is mind-blowing. My belly is always full long before Im ready for the pleasure to end, and I often order more food to take home, to extend the enjoyment the rest of the week. Its astonishing how this neighborhood treasure has remained consistently and flawlessly at the top of its game. If I could only eat one food for every meal, for the rest of my life, it would be Tikka Masala from Chutneys.
Best Indian food in King County bar none. Their chicken tikka masala is top notch.
The food was excellent, good range of spicy to satisfy all. Owner and staff were wonderful. One person in our party has a life threatening food allergy, and they went out of their way to ensure his meal was safe. I definitely recommend!
Ravish, the owner always makes our experience so amazing. I can tell he poured his heart into this restaurant. The new remodel has elevated the space and experience. We ordered lamb tika and absolutely loved it - good flavor and good quality food.Highly recommend!
Went with a large group of 12 and the idea of buffet is good but the food i did not care for. I guess its typical Indian Cuisine but just not good to me. And really no dessert to speak of. Given the price should have some dessert options beside some kind of rice ice thing. Only meat i saw was a couple of chicken options and tried them and not that good. The salad was ok otherwise 1 star.
Excellent service, excellent food, thoroughly enjoyable. The owner was very attentive to my guests which added to the already caring , professional ambiance. Red model looks awesome, definitely coming back!
Great restaurant, would recommend the chicken tikka masala and the saag paneer. Love the location and the ambiance.
First meal coming out of Covid and was a perfect place for it. Service and food was great
My family and I eat at this restaurant at least twice a month if not more. We love the food, the staff, and the owner. Everyone that works there are so friendly and very helpful when choosing a dish to try. We highly recommend trying this restaurant you will not be dissapointed.
I love this restaurant!! The food is so tasty and you will love it. They combine spices in a unique way with unique curries like coconut and mango! The only reason this is a 4 not a 5 is because once my vegetarian family ordered a Mango Panner and we got a mango chicken. They gave us a free dish for the inconvenience, however the chicken ruined my families appetite! However this restaurant I truly recommend
I’ve been to so many Indian places, indeed it’s my best one. Try the rack of lamb. You won’t regret it. Friendly staff. I love this place..
This place was spectacular. We went here for dinner and we were greeted by who I think was the owner when we walked in and he was incredibly nice and checked on us throughout our meal. The service was prompt and attentive, the restaurant itself is lovely and very comfortable. And then the food - oh my gosh it was so good. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful and amazing. The chef and waitresses also checked on our table to be sure everything was good and everyone was just very nice. I loved the food and the experience and I highly recommend this place!
Best Indian food in Bellevue! The staff is super helpful and friendly and the food is phenomenal. Our favorite date night spot. Highly recommend!!
The first thing we noticed is the waiter lays the napkin in your lap for you. That was usual for us but great. The food was super good. Very authentic. We had the currys and the spices in them were on point.
Didnt get the buffet. ordered off the menu instead. It was serviceable Indian food. not the best Ive had in my life but was edible and fresh. Curry was maybe a bit too much on the sweet side but not too bad. Would probably eat there again when craving Indian but isnt something Id write home about.
So Ive tried many paneer based entrees which are really good but today I tried the Braised Seasonal Vegetables, Gujarati Style. The description of the dish goes like Vegetables sauteed in mustard oil cracked curry leaves, mustard seeds and fenugreek mixed into our tomato cumin sauce. Please note: Entrees do not include rice.THE ENTIRE ENTREE CONSISTED OF ONLY 4 THINGS VIZ. GREEN BELL PEPPER, ZUCCHINI, TOMATO AND ONION, out of which 60% was only zucchini.please do not try this entree!
This place is fantastic! Always consistent food and ready when they say it will be. Good for dining in but excellent for take out. We order at least 2-3 times per month and are always happy. The Coconut Curry is fantastic and the service is always wonderful. Cant beat family owned!
I have been coming here for years. Bill and Ravish do an amazing job with this restaurant. The Chicken Coconut Curry is THE BEST. But I have always been very pleased with every dish I have ordered here. I always bring new friends or visitors from out of town here and everyone always leaves happy and amazed. Such a culinary delight.
We were deciding a place to eat out. This place came up in google search. After reading the reviews we decided not to even try this place . Reason - A place where the owner who says good luck finding a restaurant the suits your taste is not worth visiting. I would say - Gud luck finding more clients with that attitude.
The food is awesome! I ordered Dal Makhani ad Lamb Vindaloo, both were fantastic! Vindaloo was hot and spicy but full of flavor, not just got to be hot which can sometimes happen from other places. The Naan was delicious and great with both. Leftovers the next day were favorful and great tasting as well. To top it all off, the service was fantastic! They were so polite, followed the instructions, and called before heading out to let me know my food would be earlier than expected, as well as when they arrived. They delare doingalso very during COVID - so nice to have a delivery option for good food.
No lunch buffet
Very good food and amazing service!!! Great place:)
Buffet for $12 and the food was good! Server was polite and attentive.
Ambience is good. We went for lunch buffet. Nan was good. Very limited options especially for non-veg and the taste of non-veg was not that great.
The food, atmosphere, and service were wonderful! They made my lady and I feel like family, we will be back! So good!
Excellent experience every time we go. Bill and his staff are very attentive to even minor details. Food is great, everything we have tried on the menu has been wonderful. Never greasy or too heavy. You should try it.
Food was just fantastic! And service was even better!Menu is a bit different than what you usually get in Indian restaurants around and price is also pretty comparable. We ordered Kashmiri Kofta with Garlic Basil naan and it was great!
Awesome food and awesome service. Staff and chef Ravish was considerate enough to cook food even after hours. Highly recommended.
My mom was visiting from Canada, and we dined at Chutneys before heading to a concert. The food was fantastic, and the service was caring and friendly. We were raving about that meal for days afterwards and I will be back soon.
I noticed that each dish was prepared with heart, in detail.A few unusual seafood dishes were air-shipped from Japan, really fresh, we were impressed. All dishes were tasty and delicious. We were impressive by the plates/bowls used for each dish.Service was good and professional
The food here, amazing. First the aroma hits your nose and you think, that smells good and I need some of that! Then, once you have your plate full of curious dishes demanding attention with color and texture, you take a bite. This is followed by a combinations of feelings. Joy, happiness, satisfaction. Bite by bite, you realize that here at Chutneys, the food is prepared a cut above the rest.
One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever been too. The chicken tikka masala and the lamb cashew are to die for. Highly recommend checking this out! Service is superb and it’s my go-to anytime I’m in Seattle.
Recently remodeled, beautiful interior and excellent food. Nice and quiet as well.
Friendly staff and a full menu. Portions are large enough for leftovers. a good selection of breads and plenty of good vegetarian options. They also have chicken and lamb.
Probably based on other reviews here, I had high expectations on this place, but it wasnt that great. Had a lunch buffet and tasted almost all the items available on the table, they were pretty okay. Not as great as few reviews say about the Indian food here or as compared to most other Indian restaurants.
Fabulous Indian restaurant, excellent food, quality service, lovely decor, and an absolutely delightful owner - so friendly, kind, and endearing. We couldnt have been happier to have discovered Chutneys of Bellevue and will be back soon!
Friendly staff, consistently amazing food. An all around good place to go for lunch or dinner!
GREAT spot. Great food & great service. Definitely my go-to spot for Indian cuisine. Run by the sweetest family - very authentic.
Fantastic food and amazing service!! I had the coconut curry with veggies and paneer and my husband had the seafood tikka masala. Both were out of this world! Extensive menu and love the definitions of speciality Indian items in the menu. We’ve been to the lunch buffet before and it is delicious too!!Recently remolded and great atmosphere. Free garage parking when you give them your license plate number. We will be back for sure!
Probably the best Indian food my wife and I have ever had! Service was impeccable and atmosphere was delightful. HIGHLY recommend this place!
Chutneys does not provide authentic indian food. Its modified bland indian food foe ametican pallett
Every time I come here I wonder why did I come here again...
