The Biodiversity Park, the first of its kind in North Karnataka which is being raised by forest department besides Vishvesvaraya Technological University about 15 kms away from Belagavi city on Belagavi-Goa Highway.The Biodiversity park total area is of 316 acres land near Machche village on Chorla Ghat road.The Biodiversity Park comes under ‘Nagara Vana Udyan’ project by Government of India, 80 percent share by Central Government and twenty per cent share amount by State Government, Out the total land, 60 acres is developed by intensive gardening.More than 350 species of saplings have been planted in the park which includes Suragi, Kadamba, Kallugaragi, kaduhippi, Rakta Chandana, Pennerale, Nagaling Pushpa, Sagadi and Kadagala Murga. The park will have children play area, jogging path, cycle path, food court, drinking water facility, permanent sitting arrangement, rest rooms, Yoga center, Meditation center, butterfly park, Topiary garden, nature interpretation center and much more.

Bio-Diversity Park is near VTU ...it is in vast area ...all over greenery ...small children park is also been made...basketball ...slides etc are there...its one of the place where you can hangout with family , friends, etc..inside this garden you will spend more than an hour exploring it...some sign board and information boards are also present ...youngsters even celebrate birthdays here ...right now its under some improvement and maintainence ...by a month or two it will be open...and ticket counter is been built ..so there will be entry ...but a good one to have a visit after its open for public ..

This is called as mini Lalbagh Garden.Located at Belgaum Goa Road Santibastwad Cross Next to VTU main gate.This park is under development and will be developed as same as Lalbagh Garden in Bangalore.Good place for Kids but Kids play items are not maintained by the staff.Gardners and Staff is not that supportive.

Its a nice place, the forest department is doing a great job. We contributed to the park as a part of our NSS camp.

The park is still not yet prepared for visit. But alnost work has been done. And also inaugradated by minister of government of karanatak in the month of nov 2017 very soon it will ready. It is near to VTU. Just visit to relax.
