Course was not available to the public at large and it used to waver according to the whims and fancies of the powers that be at a particular point of time.In 1997, some golf enthusiasts of Belgaum decided to form what is today known as Belgaum Golf Association (BGA), a registered body, to spread the virtues of being a Golfer and also to explore whether a Public Golf Course can be created in or around the City of Belgaum. Fortunately for the Association, some of the Karnataka Government officials in Belgaum (and being golfers) were equally enthusiastic about the whole concept.With the concerted efforts of the members and others, in 2001, BGA managed to obtain lease holdings of 168 acres of land from Karnataka State Tourism Development

Its a very clean and green place . under army control and also used for playing golf besides access to general public for morning walk and evening walk. The bio diversity is improved over the years. There are almost more then 20 peacocks plus other flora and fauna. Consider myself lucky that I stay nearby this place.

Best of natures lap. Habitat for walkers, joggers & nonetheless for peacocks. Abundant with pure oxygen, the main reason to Love this place. But people throwing garbage, plastic water bottles & plastics is shameful.Sitting underneath a banyan trees and inhaling fresh air boosts the day, gives more energy to kick start your day.

I used to attend every morning golf course for morning walk. Best environment,fresh air with abundant oxigen . Beautiful nature, different kinds of birds, peacocks, parrots and many more birds. Water tanks are there and around the water tank walking track also prepared. It is a very best place for the nature loving peoples.

Pleasent golf course, with a walking track for morning walkers! Would recommend for jog and walks for cleaner and fresh air.

A place where you can take Ur morning walk. Watch out for flying golf balls. Its an army ground which they have allowed for public assess. The track is uneven and isolated at some places. If it rains it becomes slushy and difficult to walk.

People of Belgaum should be thankful of Golf course,a property of Defence and maintained by the Army as it is providing Geen cover and fresh air to everyone. In my view rather civil administration should also be developing more such area.In the name of development, old trees were cut but the authority didnt bother to takeup plantation drive.

Golf course in Belgavi is very good place for walkers in the morning. There is no air pollution, no sound pollution. While walking, one can see peacocks and many birds around.

MEG Golf club has been improved upon a great deal. It is now quite challenging. New greens added and all greens in are in top condition. It is indeed a pleasure to play there.

I can say this a lung of Belgavi. This is the only place, fortunately is open for the civiliece to walk, exercise & athelatic games. This place belongs to military but luckiely & legally we can enjoy this heavenly place.
