My personal experience with computer jocks was AHHHMAZING! I am an author and was working on a deadline in order to publish and out of nowhere...boom ...a virus!I walked into Computer Jocks and encountered Rich the owner. I told him why I was there and he initially told me that he was all booked and he explained why...keep in mind this was late Thursday afternoon going into the evening a little before closing and yes there were signs that were posted advising that the business would be closed starting the next day.After explaining further details, Rich decided he would squeeze me in and not only last minute but would have my laptop ready for pickup by Friday (the next day). I was super excited, he made it possible to meet my very important deadline. To mention, it was clearly my problem not his however he never once acted that way and did his best by squeezing me in! Not to mention he was going on vacation for the first time in 15 years(Wow) after a year that weve had, a vacation is well deserved!Rich thank you for squeezing me in at the very very last minute and making it possible to meet my deadline, being very professional, reasonably priced and even giving me guidance and recommendations to keep my laptop safe and functioning properly!You have a new customer in me and Ill share your name with family and friends, in fact, Ive already shared with my neighbors!Thank you for your service! This is run by an individual with a genuine hard work ethic. The prices are fair. You will get fast turn around on builds if you plan ahead by scheduling your drop off. Dont collect your parts then call expecting a build the same day. Time your drop off best by planning it during your parts collection.

This is my first time shopping here and I am very impressed by what they had available and the level of technical knowledge as well. Its something small but they actually know what thermo paste is and I went to the big box stores but they had no idea what that was. I approached Rich and his team at Computer Jocks with a build request for a new high powered PC to run my music studio and voice narration business. I gave them a suggested list of components and a couple of key requirements—primarily around processing capability and the need for as quiet as possible.They responded in just a couple of days with their suggestions on better quality and even better affordability on some of the components, along with other suggestions on a system to meet my needs. They then acquired the parts, built the system, and had it tested within less than two weeks. During this time they contacted me a couple of times with additional suggestions and to ensure they fully understood my needs.Bottom line: outstanding service, excellent communications, and a new PC that runs like a dream at a lower price than they initially quoted! I am very happy with Computer Jocks and will go there first for any future needs. Highly recommended!

Great service. The computer jocks did an excellent job of rebuilding a computer that I had not used in years and made it a lot faster, put virus protection on it and put a new windows system on it. Their prices are very reasonable. I am very pleased with their service and would recommend them to anyone with computer issues.

My lap top computer refused to respond to any request of the task bar icons. I had a zoom presentation to make in the morning. I brought the machine to Computer Jocks in mid afternoon. The owner took the machine right away and fixed it that and evening ahead of everyone else and had it fixed that evening. I was impressed with his work on it and his professionalism. I will use him again when I have other problems or upgrades I might need to make. My problem was with software issues that he resolved. The computer now works well. I made the presentation on time and in good order. Thanks for the good work.

Knowledgeable little shop with helpful employees, always in and out with what I need relatively quickly and painlessly. The only downside is NOT their fault, current limit to 1 customer at a time. Completely understandable with the current situation and the size of the shop.

Did a superb job! They came to my house and tried to repair my desktop there but had to take it back to the shop. Fast service, comprehensive knowledge of hardware and software, and very reasonable prices. I highly recommend them.

I have a custom build that I had been having pretty major issues with. When I dropped it off to them I couldnt really provide any info as to what was causing the problem, but they figured it out in a few days (I told them no rush) and I pick my order up. Unfortunately, there was still some pretty prevalent issues, but when I took it back, they had it fixed in a few hours and Ive been running smooth ever since. I was a little skeptical before going, but Im both impressed and very happy with the work and speed of these guys and would recommend this place no matter what issue you have.

Settled on a price for repair only to have price miraculously raised... then raised... and raised. I guarantee the 5 star reviews were reviewed by the owner. STAY AWAY. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF.Addendum to reply- Below they wrote that the extra $65 they charged me was pre approved by me and that is a blatant lie. I pre approved $100.00 extra for the power repair on the tablet only. $65 was added to the price only when the final price was given, almost as if I wouldnt notice. I DID NOT APPROVE THE EXTRA $65. To say that I did, is a blatant lie. Lets talk about the added power repair:When the mysterious power repair was mentioned I was told that it was a common problem that occurs with my type of tablet. I was told at a different time that the problem occurred when the power supply I provided shorted out the systems power unit. First, that inconsistency reeks of dishonesty. Second, I have been using that power supply every day for over a year and never had a problem with it. When given to Computer Jocks, it mysteriously causes a problem that costs me an extra $100.00. How convenient.They mentioned that they did not charge me for the bent frame. When the bent frame was mentioned, they did not say the bending of the frame would cost extra, only if they had to purchase a new frame which they did not (if they did, believe me I would have been charged for it)I was told of small services here and there that I was not charged for. The thing that they miss is that when a repair is pre approved for a specific price, no extra charges should incur without, again, the pre approval of the customer. It was as if they asked for pre approval for the repair based on the work they would have to do and then wanted to charge me again for said work. I am not sure they know how pre approved pricing works.You said that I am trying to trash your reputation but that is also false. Your shady business practices is trashing your reputation just as it did for every REAL review posted here.

The screen on my 2007 laptop stopped turning on 2 1/2 years prior. The store I worked at and bought it from could not do anything as it was so far out of warranty. On a recommendation I took it to Rich. He only charged me $50 but assured me it would go toward the repair and he would give me a call in a couple of days. The next evening I received a call. They were able to recover the data but advised against replacing the screen as it was not cost efficient. I didnt have $800-1000 for a new laptop. They were able to get me a used laptop, set up, data transfer, anti virus for less than $400 plus they applied the $50 credit towards the new laptop. I am so excited! I have been taken advantage before because I know nothing about computers. I would recommend these guys to anyone. They are the best!

Had some work done several months ago by a very helpful young man, when i returned today with a possible issue the owner was there and the first words out of his mouth were how much it was going to cost me to just to look at it whether the problem was my fault or theirs. i was then being accused a potential hacker since i was asking for him to just try the wifi and see if the problem was related to that.my first experience with the worker was great this one was awful, it was clear to me the owner is not at all concerned with customer care and satisfaction but rather how much money he can charge.i would not recommend going there at this point but find someone thats far more customer friendly.

Ive been using Computer Jocks for 8+ years and they have saved the day every time. Happy with the service, response time, and reasonable price. There are places closer to me but piece of mind makes it worth the trip.

Ive taken in my gaming laptop (which is an uncommon brand/has an uncommon manufacturer) in on three separate occasions (for three different issues) and all three of the times theyve repaired it faster and for much cheaper than it wouldve costed me to buy a new gaming laptop and/or ship it back to the manufacturer for repair. The first and third times I did have to take it back, but they didnt charge me an additional fee as it was within the 45-day return policy they have, and they did remedy the issues. They are definitely my go to place for hardware -related issues. Thanks again, guys.

Been using these guys since my first windows XP laptop broke around 2006. Always friendly and reasonably priced. They even stayed open late one time to recover a lost document I needed for my class. These guys are true life savers.

My PC was working fine until I added/removed a few items from the motherboard--then the computer was frozen at the BIOS screen and wouldnt load Windows! I tried everything before eventually realizing Id need an expert. I found Computer Jocks through Google and gave them a call. They took some time talking to me both by phone and in-person when I brought my computer in. They were very knowledgeable and seemed confident they could look into my system and get me up and running again.I was very pleased with the service I received! In addition to just getting my OS to boot, they upgraded me from Windows 7 to 10, cleaned up the inside of my PC, rewired a lot of cables around my system in a more intuitive and easy-to-access way, and switched some settings on two of my hard-drives so that programs would run faster! Talk about going above and beyond!I am very satisfied with the high quality labor put in by Computer Jocks and would recommend them to anybody seeking computer repair/upgrade work!

Needed my Macbook Pro battery replaced. They worked with my schedule (I use the laptop for work M-F) to inspect, order, and install the new battery. The inspection and battery installation were both done same-day. Friendly and helpful service, would definitely go here again for other PC repair needs.

Brought a 5 year old HP laptop in with a bad harddrive. Ron explained to me what he could do, quoted a reasonable price and kept me updated on his progress. He replaced the harddrive, and recovered my files. The computer is running better now than it was 5 years ago. I will recommend this place to my family and friends.

Amazing, isnt it? ! ? ! What was suppose to be a $125 operating system recovery/repair-that they took a $75 deposit on-ended up totaling $195! WOW! If they had told me honestly, up front how much the charge was going to be I wouldnt have had it done because Im unemployed. But, TWICE when they called me to initially tell me what was going to need to be done and how much it would be, and then to tell me it was done and I could pick it up they twice told me the TOTAL charge was $125 and with my deposit it would only be $50 more for the job they did..WELL, THEYLL NEVER GET ANOTHER DIME FROM ME . ILL NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE...CAVEAT EMPTOR!!! OH, THANKS, GUYS! THANKS FOR RUINING MY COMPUTER!

I regularly get my computers checked fixed here and they do an amazing job.

When moving to a new office location our office network no longer worked. I consider myself technologically savvy, but after wasting too much of my time I decided to hire a professional. Computer Jocks was able to schedule an on-site appointment the next day for our business and offered a solution to our network issue. When installing our new server they explained to us how it works and how to manage the server instead of just running through it as fast as possible.They were on-time, courteous, and professional. The rates were very reasonable for on-site business work. I will use them again if I have any other computer issues. My only regret is wasting so much time troubleshooting the issue myself instead of calling them sooner.

This place is the worst place Ive ever done business with. If you want to get hustled and worked over on price this is the place stay far from this place. I will update this review as soon as I get home to take a picture of everything that I been threw with these RIP offs. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

I took my Toshiba Galaxy for servicing. I was not getting any sound from my internal speakers. They diagnosed the problem. Laptop is as good as new again. Good friendly service from Mr Goodnight. LOL

I have never seen such terrible business practices in my life. They make sure they have repeat customers. The hassle free warranty is a lie. They do not tell you about problems they find on your computer so you will be back in. I have spent enough to buy a new computer. I originally took my computer in for a repair back in January. I was told it was a virus. They never told me there was an issue with the hard drive ( but it was written clearly on the repair ticket as a fail to pass). 5 months later I tried to update to Windows 10, my computer screen wouldnt stop flashing. The owner had the audacity to claim that I did not want to pay when I told him to stop working on my computer. I stopped work because their business practices has no accountability. I was demanding to pay and for a work order reciept which he REFUSED to give. They will tell you that they put a sticker on the computer and will not give you a work order of what was checked and done to the computer. This business preys on people who need technical support. Do not get fleeced by them.

Needed a part in a pinch. Picked up a usb drive enclosure, saved me 3 hours of traffic to Microcenter. Theyre the competition, but theyre an hour and a half north, so Ill let it slide. Hella nice guys.
