Definitely a must to go place if you like wines! Really well equipped and good looking shop with various wines from almost all around the globe. They are selling exquisite spirits as well. On top of this the owner is a very helpful and nice fella! Highly recommended

Great place to pick up some great value wines you wont find in any supermarket. You can also stay and have a drink, either inside or in their lovely garden hidden out back.

Went to a couple of wine tastings recently as someone who knew very little. The atmosphere was relaxed and Ben and Gyorgy were very knowledgeable and put us all at ease. We paired the wines with locally sourced cheeses. I had a lovely evening and bought some recommended wines and will now only source my wine from Novel. The wines are all unique and nothing like you can buy in the supermarket. I was very impressed with the range and quality (and so were my family). Ordered the Bold Red Wine selection of 6 bottles and it was delivered the next day (helps that we only live close by). Had never heard of the wines before (or some of the grape varieties) but all 3 of the wines have been delicious. The Don Guerino Vintage Malbec (from Brazil) is my favourite of the 3, smooth, silky and very tasty. Will be ordering again!

We had a private wine tasting for 3 families for my Husband’s 40th.Ben was brilliant he was very knowledgeable about all the wines and could answer all our questions.Really nice to try some different wines and a great way to spend a 40th Birthday with family.The team were brilliant sent the same wines to all 3 addresses and so well organised. At the end the Zoom call was passed on to us so we could catch up and chat.We loved the Clarus Sparkling wine and can definitely recommend to others.Thanks again

Had a fantastic gin tasting night at a friends house - Ben is super-knowledgeable! Its great to find out more about the gins and try new varieties, and new gin/tonic combinations too. The cheese is always a delicious added bonus! Have also done wine tasting with Ben at The Square and would recommend both :)

Novel Wines have been amazing helping us choose wine for our wedding. We wanted Hungarian wine to reflect my time spent in the country and also our engagement on the banks of the Danube. Gyorgy was brilliant, bringing several wines to try at a tasting session, explaining the origins and different grape varieties. For us it was the personal touch from the tasting to the delivery that made Novel Wines stand out. Now we just have to resist drinking the wine before the wedding!

Ben from Novel Wines did a surprise wine and cheese tasting for my friends 30th. Ben was so much fun and really added to the evening. The wines he brought were really tasty. I really loved the stories about the wine he was able to tell. It was very clear he knew the vineyard owners personally. I would highly recommend.

Enjoyed a fab gin tasting night hosted by Ben, great evening, Ben brought everything to us, delicious gins all carefully paired with different mixers, tasting notes as well as excellent knowledge for the ad hoc questions. The cheeses were lovely too. Would happily highly recommend.

Fantastic wines! We first met Ben (founder of Novel Wines) at a wine and chocolate pairing event in Bath where we discovered his amazing unique wines – and craved for more! Later on Ben provided unique tailored wine pairings for our 9 course Christmas dinner menu, where he personally hand picked and recommended the selection of wines for us and then delivered them straight to our door. It was all about discovering new wines that we never even knew existed, so a great learning experience and more fun than buying from a supermarket! The service was tailored, personal and impeccable! He also provided wine tasting for my best friend’s hen do and she absolutely loved it! Can’t wait to order our next box from Novel Wines 😊 highly recommend!!

We had been to a local Michelin star restaurant and was given a glass of the Starboard to try as an American alternative to a Port. Loved it so much we came home, searched for it on Google and ordered a bottle from Novel wines. Bottle arrived on time and in perfect condition. Will use NW again in the future once this bottle needs replacing.

The wine tasting definitely encouraged more people to attend my event and my guests really enjoyed the experience. After tasting some of the wines Ill definitely be placing an order myself.

Not only a supplier of fantastic wines but a highly knowledgable, non-pretentious (rare!) wine consultancy too. Have been to 2 tasting events in Bristol now and loved every minute of it – as someone who didnt used to enjoy wine, I now know what I should drink, how and why.I recommend these guys highly, all the time, and now buy far too much wine from them ;) Delicious though!Give them a try, I guarantee they wont disappoint.

What these guys dont know about wine..... is very slim, and if they dont know it they will take their passion to make sure they know it next time you come in. Highly recommend.

I recently booked Ben as a surprise for guests attending my 40th Birthday celebrations in Bath. We were a group of 16 adults with varying degrees of wine knowledge. Wine is a passion of mine and I wanted to share this experience with those closest to me. From the very first communication I had with Ben he was polite, professional, engaging and a delight to deal with. We went for the Silver Package and the experience did not disappoint. Ben has a lovely manner about him, he is charming, patient and incredibly knowledgable. Between us we asked him many (many) questions and not just about wine itself, but the countries they came from and Ben was able to answer all questions with confidence and interest. After the tasting all my guests raved about the experience so thank you Ben for an incredible experience.

Ben hosted a private gin tasting for my 30th birthday. It was an excellent evening, exactly what I had hoped for. Novel Wines organised a city centre venue; it was a very smooth process to organise. Ben’s knowledge was extensive and he was a brilliant host; and the gins were fab 👍🏻 Highly recommend, will be using again.

I wanted to treat myself with a good wine for my birthday and I ordered a bottle of Tasca DAlmerita Ghiaia Nera Nerello Mascalese from Novel Wines. I do not usually shop for food or beverage online but I was tempted by the huge number of wines available and the cheap prices.Payment really easy and delivery on time, although I live in west Wales. Very satisfied, I will order more for sure.
