Varoous eateries are also available there.Facilities of dairy is also available there.You can get buses and taxi services connecting to dehradun and haridwar at specific intervals from here. But you have to be punctual.This place has a good natural beauty. Chaukhambha peak has a clear vision from here. Surrounding this place are the forest of banjh oak(Quercus leucotrichophora), बुरांश(Rhododendron arboreum) and pine.Surrounding villages of badukedar has also good natural beauty and forest.It is a religious and historic place where you can see the lord Shiva temple build by Shankaracharya. This temple is about half a kilometer away from the temple.

Basukedar : RUDRAPRAYAG, UTTARAKHAND-246425, (reputedly where Shiva lived before coming to Kedarnath). It has a Shiva temple constructed by Pandava. Architecture and idols seems to be at least 1000 yrs old. A good place for meditation and dhyan yoga. This is around 35 km from Agustmuni, around 1.30 hr to drive. This is actually an old track to visit Kedarnath. It is said that Lord Shiva stayed a night in Basukedar while he was travelling to Mount Kailash (Kedarnath) this is the reason this place is called BasukedarContents

Newly built tehsil, police station, schools, shiv temple, small hospital and chemist availability, post office, bharat gas service, liquor shop, cyber cafe, small dhaba these all are there. Place is located at sceneric view of himalaya with moderate temperature in summer and chilled during winter.
