A well known place is Bashirhat, West Bengal and it has a lot of produce. The market is very old and is near to the police station as well. A lot of different shops are available here selling daily essentials, food stuffs, sweets, wedding materials and almost everything you would need. The roads are decently maintained and you would normally see the location a bit crowded during working hours.

This is a proper market, many vegetable sellers gather here and sell varieties of vegetable under shaded shelter everyday 6am-1pm. Youll get varieties of fresh vegetables, variety fresh fish, mutton and chicken under one roof. Quality is fresh, and price is quite less than Kolkata if you do good bargain.You can also get live fish as well as cut-fish (kata maach) at reasonable rate.Although its mainly vegetable market, few venders also sell fish and freshly cut Chicken and mutton.
