Wow! Food was good can’t fault it. Staff were lovely and attentive. The decor inside is really nice, great vibe. Good menu and veggie/vegan options which is important for me. First time eating Thai food will defo go here again. Only thing I will say is the salad leaves were dead and they weren’t served with dressing but we weren’t bothered so much as more important to us were the savoury items/meal :)

Having a nice couple of days in Basingstoke and had to find somewhere nice to eat as the kitchens in our hotel where closed. Booked here and would recommend it to anyone.

The food was really delicious and really well priced! We enjoyed the two course lunch menu. Would recommend the crispy chicken Penang curry and massaman curry. The staff were so attentive. Would recommend to anyone in Basingstoke that wants really really good Thai food!

Booking through Google went a bit wrong so they were not expecting us. However every thing else was great. Starters were served with little delay. The mains were exceptional and the service efficient and without any fuss. Price was pretty good too.

Staff very welcoming, u had the chicken skewers as a starter excellent presentation as well as taste (loved the sauce), when the mains were brought out (green curry beef with egg fried rice) i wasnt 100% pleased with what it looked like, the taste was immense, then banana fritters to top it off. Really tasty, amazing flavours and the most authentic Thai food. Pad thai is a must, and the best thing is their salads - especially the papaya salad and the beef one (yam nue). The flavours are simply amazing, although I have to say that it is very spicy. But this is the reason why I say it’s authentic, I have had half a dozen independent Thai restaurants even in London, they always cut down on fish sauce / chillies. I am a lover for spicy food and these salads are fantastic. 11/10 would recommend.

The food is great. The midday mocktails provide a decent sugar kick as well. They adapted the menu to Vegans also.

The food here was my first experience of thai, i had the prawn appetiser and a prawn green curry with noodles, WOW the food was out of this world, the drinks were slightly pricey and there wasnt much choice, however the food more than out does it. By far the best food i have ever had in a restaurant, just one thing to note, the VAT wasnt included in the menu price so just bear that in mind, the staff were so lovely and i would have absolutely no hesitation to eat here again!

Authentic food, really, really good service, cute restaurant, reasonably priced.Service was excellent, originally we were seated at a small table and mentioned politely that if a larger one was available we would love to take it, through the evening the girls kept looking and updating us and just before our mains were served we were moved to a larger table. The staff made us feel very welcomed and were more than happy to explain the dishes if needed.We had Chilli duck spring rolls, Tempura vegetables and Dim sum to start, the vegetables were a little al dente for my liking but the flavours were great, the duck spring rolls and the dim sum were lovely.For mains we sampled the King Prawn Nam Makham and the Weeping Tiger dish. Beware the prawns came shell on which is traditional for this cuisine, this was tough for me to stomach but the dish was amazing in flavour and presentation.Will definitely be coming back and will be sampling the takeaway service soon!

One of the very best Thai restaurant, we were there about 7 oclock it looked really busy, restaurant owner explained about menu in every details. my friend ordered less spice and I ordered more spicy, it came out really quick and super delicious. Very well recommend.

After hearing so many good reviews of the Lime Leaf we have finally visited for lunch. The food is lovely, service is great and very reasonable prices.

Friendly staff, lovely food, the vegan thai green curry was exceptional - definitely recommend. They have lots of veg and vegan options and the restaurant is quite cozy downstairs which is perfect for couples. They are quite busy so I would recommend booking in advance.

We had a nice evening here. Food was great and service was good with usual Thai friendliness. There is a good choice of food available ranging from mild to hot. Wine list is fine with reasonable selection.I have no hesitation in recomending The Lime Leaf and look forward to enjoying dining here again.

Have always loved the food at The Lime Leaf but this was our first takeaway order. It was absolutely excellent- tasted just as fresh and delicious as eating in the restaurant. Would highly recommend.

Absolute disaster trying to order a takeaway...wanted a meal I have been ordering for years and the staff did not even know they made it and kept offering me all wrong alternatives...last time we came we had to return another food which was absolutely inedible...and you used to be my favourite...

Really great Thai food with a lot of selection. Super flavourful and the dishes listed as spicy are definitely that. I recommend trying the papaya salad. Everything we had was great but that dish surprised me the most.My only concern is that service is pretty slow. The restaurant wasn’t busy when we went but it took a long time for the food to be brought to the table. I wouldn’t have minded that as much if I didn’t have anything to do afterwards because the food could be worth the wait.

Had dinner here on a Friday night. Not sure if it was a one-off, but had a very bad experience. The crispy beef chef- special dish shouldnt be on the menu - period. If I did a blood test today morning, my sugar levels would surely be off the charts - the dish was that sweet. Also only got a lot of fried batter, could hardly taste any beef. The wine was mediocre. Food didnt taste authentic either. Definitely this ones off my list in Basingstoke. Will not go back. Thumbs down!

Thought we’d try out this restaurant since it had good reviews, however the food was poor. The sauce in the curry was great but basically soup and all the vegetables were raw and crunchy. Their chilli sauce seemed to be very watered down probably cost cutting. We ordered an ice cream and that was rock solid couldn’t even get your spoon in it. I mean this place is nice and cheap so if you don’t mind this kinda thing go for it.

Couldnt fault it. Good service, lovely food and our own corner for our big group of 8. It was my birthday and my friend had baked a cake which the staff took away and brought out afterwards with candles and a sparkler! Lovely touch. Would recommend.

A very well cooked meal. Authentic taste. Curries are a little watery and coukd do with a dash more spice.Highly recommended the Weeping Tiger dish.They were out of the desired wine we wanted and didnt have a second bottle of the one we ordered, but this may have just been a blip.Overall very good quality.

WOW! What a little gem of a find!! Id give it 10 Stars if I could!We arrived early for our table and were warmly welcomed. We got there at 6.45 and the place was already filling up, by the time we ordered they were really busy, but the food still came out quickly and was very fresh.The service was excellent but, above all the food was outstanding! I love Thai food and have eaten a lot of it in my time, I can safely say, though that this was the best Ive ever tasted.The atmosphere was warm and cosy and, for my wife and I it felt very romantic! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and happy to serve, with a smile. I cant recommend The Lime Leaf highly enough, we will be back!

Absolutely brilliant and amazing service! I had a juice and forgot to ask to have it without ice. Then I asked for another glass and forgot to ask for one without ice...but this time it arrived without ice! For the waitress to observe that I want my drink without ice (without me telling her) it is just one of the most suprising things in hospitality. Prices reasonable, food delicious, timing between meals pretty good. Well done guys!

Unbelievable food a must visit

Booked a table weeks in advance. Confirmed the day before our booking. When we arrived we were told that there was no room and our booking was wrong!? I had the confirmation email on my phone but this didn’t matter. Staff didn’t care and we were told to come back another time.Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant at all! Terrible attitude from the staff.

Food excellent as always but have to say service was poor tonight. It was busy but we waited over an hour to get any food...sent back two hot plates because they became cold while still waiting for food. When it did arrive theyd messed up the order so we waited even longer. It was a good thing the food was so good ...if it was judged on service we wouldnt go back.

The worst noodles that I have had ever eaten in my life I have been to Thailand more than twenty times that is not Thai Noddles what they serve there, when I complained I was told that is how they serve it in The lime Leaf. I eat a few bites bec I was bloody hungry waited more than an hour for 3 main dishes. When I asked for chilli sauce ( like sambal) I was serve old dried chilli flakes. If I have had eaten a few more bites I would have vomited there. Bad cook bad food my son ordered Cashews Duck the cashews were old. Bloody disappointing had to come back and eat at home! 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Good food, attentive, friendly staff in homely setting. Lime Leaf is a perennial family favourite in our household. Ask to join their loyalty scheme for discounts. Good vegetarian selection - chef is happy to modify food to remove non-veggie ingredients.

Best Thai in Basingstoke!!!

Fantastic Thai curries! Nicely presented and decent portions. I particularly recommend the duck curry. Give the prawn crackers and home-made sweet chilli sauce a miss though, it’s a bit naff.

Does not look anything from outside but the food is really good. Had lunch by 12.30 it was full. You can get a set menu. Good price enjoy

New management has meant slight changes to recipes, but the menu remains unchanged. Service still good. Will give it another chance.

Really good food served here. Weve been a few times and would happily go back again. The staff are friendly although we did find on the last occasion they were a little overrun and this impacted service: wont stop us going back again.

The food is excellent - front of shop is inviting but once inside it doesnt look like a high class restaurant. Give it a chance, what it loses in decor is more than compensated for by the food, which is fantastic

Authentic Thai Food in Basingstoke!We love visiting this lovely little restaurant. The staff are so welcoming and the food is amazing. The curries are divine, with just the right balance of heat and flavour. The pad thai is a regular favourite of ours along with the hot mixed starters.

The Lime Leaf is my favourite restaurant in Basingstoke. Every meal I have ever eaten there has been perfection. The staff are friendly, the cuisine is authentic Thai, as they rotate their staff directly from Thailand. I have taken many friends and recommended this restaurant to many others, who are now real advocates for the restaurant.
