Basara temple is of sarswati devi , maharshi vyasa and other gods and goddesses in Hinduism. Many people not only from Hinduism but also from other religions came here to Devote sarswati devi. Sarswati devi is god of knowledge, education and maharshi vyasa written the MAHABHARATA.You can be here by taking railway to Basara station (BSX).From Railway stand youll be charged rs 20 to mandir. The temple trust have free food and you can stay there by giving a 200rs for 24 hrs.This is very holy place. You can tatoo yourself there . Also, there is a man who draw your sketch as realistic. You can also get sculpture of many gods there. There are also many mandiras of all gods.If you went there morning then youll get datshan in 10-15 mins. At afternoon and evening time the area is crowned. Mandir opens 7am-1pm then 2:30pm-7pm.

This very god place to visit as a tourist. All kind of facility are available on this place like hotel, restrooms. This is the place of lord shri saraswati mata Temple. This place is also known as birth place of lord shri saraswati mata. From the near by distance of temple godavari river is presented.

I have been to this place in 2004 and again now in 2021. No major improvement in these many years.. there are no proper directions for entry into temple. Still very clumsy and no covid instructions followed during this covid times. Can improve a lot..

Great place to visit. It is the only temple of Saraswati Mata in India. If you are photography enthuse then you can have a great photography session outside the temple as cameras or phones are not allowed inside the temple.

A place worth visiting as it is a place for Aksharabyasam located on the banks of river Godavari.It is said that this is a place where Maharshi Vyasa found peace after a penance.He used to place daily an handful of sand from the banks of river Godavari into three parts and the Goddess has appeared from that sand and so the temple has even the deity of mahalaxmi, mahakali besides Vyasa Guha.There is also Yagnashala for Homam and Goshala.

Its a very beautiful place always love to go everytime when I have holidays.

This is the temple one should visit atleast once in their lifetime. I habe been visiting the place since my childhood. Visiting Ganga first and taking bath (optional) then going to the main temple to taking blessings of Saraswati Devi 🙏🙏🙏. Visit vyasa cave near the main temple. Temple will be closed from 1 pm to 2 pm.

It is a lord Saraswati devi Temple located in Telangana state near maharashtra border.

Darshanam was good but management was very bad, despite purchasing 1000rs ticket had to stand in line for more than 45 mins for darshanam. Plus the Aksharabhyasam pooja was not satisfactory, it was over within 15 mins.

The temple is situated on the banks of the river, Godavari. The ride from Hyderabad to Basar was scenic during this time of the year. Theres greenery and the entire route was breathtakingly beautiful. The temple is serene and the main goddess Saraswati is believed to bless us with knowledge and wisdom when prayed with full heart. The idol was made by maharishi Veda Vyas. The deity there is mesmerizingly beautiful. It was a memorable experience and I recommend a visit to this temple by those who believe in her.

Nice place to visit, akshrabhyasam pooja will take just 15 mins,1000 rs in garba gudi,out side temple 100 rs.

Peaceful.. We travelled from Nanded.. Took 2 hrs 15mins to reach by car (early mrng). Mobiles and cameras not allowed. Need to submit at counter. We were charged around 10-15rs per device. Breakfast available near temple is good. No washroom facility in temple. Restaurants have washroom. Nearby there is godavari river. U can take a holy dip as well as go for boating.. Pooja for young children (preschooling) is charged around 1000. . Prasadam (ladu) is too good.. 100rs for 400gm huge ladu.. A must have..

Jai MAA Veenadhari...Jai Maa Saraswati...my favourite place! I am lucky to be visiting this place time and again, and the development in and around this temple has come a long way to make darshan convenient. Our parents got us here for our Aksharbhasyam, which is an auspicious Pooja before the formal schooling starts and now we get our kids...life has come a full circle but the belief in the goddess of knowledge only grows stronger.It usually has many devotees coming in, so my suggestion is to plan an off season day to visit temple and spend some quality time before the Devi and really see around. Visit the ghat nearby and while you drive back to nizamabad, there is a famous Hanuman mandir, do visit.
