The Battisa temple is established in Barsur since mythological times. It is said that Asura Raj Banasura built this wonderful Battisa temple with this couples sanctum sanctorum. And the renewable flag provided by Lord Shiva waved on the summit of this temple. The ancient temple is still very attractive and is believed to remove all the sufferings of the devotees. Devotees from all over the country and abroad come here and pray to Lord Shiva to fulfill their wishes.
