Except for locals many people dont know about this place that Barhaj Ashram was the main center of revolutionary activities during the freedom struggle.In this ashram, Baba Raghavdas used to patronize the revolutionaries.Pandit Ramprasad Bismil had a special association with Baba Raghavdas.Pandit Ramprasad Bismil was the hero of Kakori incident. After his martyrdom, Baba Raghavdas made Bismils Samadhi by mixing the ashes of Bismils pyre in the soil of the ashram. Many people gather here every year in December to pay tribute.
