I had my bike delivered to me and Matthew made sure I was happy and he did all the fine adjustments to suit my riding position.The shop is wonderful, they stock everything to do with bikes. It’s a one stop shop for all your biking needs. I met Enfys, Keiron, Henry and Sam and all of them were really friendly helping me with all the information and parts and gave me proper advice on my queries.You don’t get this kind of help at many shops.They gave me 10% back on the value of my bike to spend in store.Gareth,the owner was very helpful and I told him what a wonderful team he had there. The thing I loved the most was that everybody was just out there to help with no attitude and just doing their best to ensure that their customers were happy. I had a really great experience from the time I bought my bike until now and I’m sure they will look after all their customers just as well. Recently purchased a Trek Checkpoint ALR5 from Evolution Cycles. The staff were helpful friendly and welcoming. They helped me find the perfect bike, with their wealth of knowledge the whole process was a breeze! Easily could have sold me one of the bikes they had in stock but instead ordered me the bike best suited to my needs and requirements. Highly recommend this place.

Used to be a good bike shop but now awful. They never answer the phone if you email them they rarely respond and if they do its only after sending about 20 emails.With there lack of response I cant see them lasting long

I agreed to buy an electric bike online at price of just under £4000 including a small 5% discount. The store staff told me that the discount could not be combined with interest free credit or a payment in full by credit card, nor could it be delivered without a £50 delivery fee despite boasting a various prominent parts of the website that purchases over £100 had free delivery. I agreed this and duly paid the monies by way of approximately half on a credit card and half by bank transfer, which I deposited into your their immediately.Within a day or two I found a U.K. website with the identical bike being imported from Spain at a considerably larger discount after the addition of VAT and with free delivery and I decided to withdraw from purchasing from Evolution Bikes. I did so with a clear conscience in that the company had done no work in beginning to build the bike and the only trouble I put it to was the refund of my money. I noted on the website that it offered “hassle free returns”. Subsequently the purchase from the other company went wrong in that there was a difficulty in getting the bike transported within the timescale promised. When I returned to Evolution bikes to say that I would now like to purchase the bike from them after all and that I hoped the original price agreed could pertain I was somewhat taken aback by the sales assistant saying “ it’s not as straightforward as that because the boss told me that “if he comes back later he’ll have to pay the full price” This is an incredibly petty and vindictive way in which to act. The company obviously thought it appropriate to punish me for changing my mind by daring to come back to it to make a purchase. The same day I went straight to another company where I purchased the identical bike at a discount and free delivery within 24 hours. Small-mindedness is the only way I can describe Evolution Bikes’ approach to a commercial transaction.

Dont bother ever expecting them to answer the phone. So much for the call is important as they keep telling you for over an hour without anyone answering and yes the shop is open.

Having looked on their website for a bike and realising the one I wanted was in stock (I know, right?! Given the fact that everywhere is sold out for bikes at the moment, this was already looking good!), I gave their Bangor store a call and spoke to Enfys.I was looking to use my Cycle Scheme voucher through their store but with the hope that Evolution Bikes were willing to deliver (some bike shops only take the voucher in-store which is a pain) and Enfys reassured me that this was absolutely fine and guided me through the process.Evolution Bikes have a plethora of decent kit and if they don’t have what you want in stock, they are happy to call bike manufacturers to check compatibility and then order in what you need.From start to finish, the transition was smooth and Enfys was really considerate and happy to advise me in what should look to get that suited my needs the most.I won’t hesitate to use them again and recommend them to anyone who needs a hand on making the right decision that suits you.Thanks again!

If you are looking to buy a new bike I would strongly advise some where else, due to the problems we had in purchasing a new bike , this bike was bought of the shelf there and then, we then was told it would be ready in 7 to 10 days which then took 15 days . Then we received a text to say it was ready so went there the day after to find the bike still in bits , had to wait another 30 minutes for them to straighten the handle bars fit the peddles lights and bell . When asked why its not ready I had attitude back at me so when spending hundreds of pounds , you expect a better service if any , the hole experience was in my mind disgusting.

Awesome place and good variety of bikes and bike accessories. When we called one of the staff picked up and said the bike we were looking for was unavailable. Then after a while we called again and the owner picked up and he gave us a newer bike and gave us a great deal. The bike that we got was also very reasonable for the price. Nice.Good people, most knowledgeable staff Ive found.

Currently self-isolation for two weeks due to a housemate testing positive for Covid and thought id buy a thru axel that would fit my turbo trainer to keep my fitness up. I paid for next day delivery however this wasnt fulfilled and the part was then sent to the wrong address. The customer service then suggested that I then pay for it to be posted back to the right address and concluded that the best they can do was refund the postage fee.

They have time for you if youre spending thousands of pounds, otherwise they dont care. I had a rear wheel which needed a new spoke fitted, I was told they could fit me in at the end of September!! I then found ANGLESEY BIKE REPAIRS who sorted my rear wheel in less than half an hour - I wont be going near Evolution again!

Fantastic Bike Store!!!I bought my first hard tail from there a few weeks ago and I was amazied with the service. Gareth the owner, was happy to spend the best part of an hour helping me find the right bike and helmet that suited me. And even when I came to pick up the bike the team were still more than happy to spend time adjusting the bike to suit me and give me further advise. The staff at Evolution were incredibly helpful with a difficult situation I had with a broken rear wheel whilst on holiday near Llanberis. They sought out the exact type I needed (tricky disc/axle) and found some new old stock that they then sold to me at a very reasonable price. They also stayed open a little late so someone could get there in time to collect the wheels. They were incredibly thorough, made sure that I had all the right tools and also the right wheels for my bike so I could carry on with my holiday. Very impressed & highly recommend. Thanks to all who helped save my holiday.

Best bike shop in North Wales by far. Never too busy to help, Ive lost count on the amount of times I have popped in for some help and they have never said sorry too busy. Nothing has been too much trouble for the mechanics and the sales staff are just as helpful. Excellent customer service by knowledgeable friendly staff. I am at the point where I might have to ban myself from the shop as every time I go in I come out with my eye on another bike there is so much choice there. I purchased a used road bike in October, it was my first road bike and the advice i got from them was pricless!Unfortunately the bike developed a noise on the rear wheel at the start of January and when i spoken to them on the phone they told me to drop it off Saturday morning and they would sort it by the end of the day! When i collected the bike Mat explained what the issue was and also gave me some tips and advice on other items of the bike and there was no charge for the repair.As a novice I benefited so much from just talking to the staff and highly recommend Evolution Bikes.

Despite being relatively small, the shop is crammed full of quality stock without being ridiculously priced. Whats more the guys who work there love what they do, and will be more than happy to give you sensible, unbiased and free advice on any bike related issues. In a word....outstanding!

Writing on my wifes account as I do not have one.This is how to run a Company and to maintain customer loyalty - a rare sight these days and speaks volumes for owner managed companies rather than the faceless larger company.I bought my electric Cube bike from Evolution in April 2018 after looking at bikes in other stores in Chester and North Wales. I was impressed with Evolution as their location allowed me to test ride a few bikes and also their knowledge convinced me that I should buy from them. I should have taken the bike in after 6 weeks for the free service but, typically me, I did not find the time particularly as the distance to store is 20 miles from my home. After miles of happy riding over 18 months, I sustained a puncture but could not get the front tyre off to fix so phoned Evolution with the intention of taking the bike on the train to their shop. The owner was extremely helpful and even came out with his van to fix my bike at the house as he was coming over to Conwy anyway and even took the bike back for its belated service and return it later that day. Nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely first class service, personal and without qualms. I could not recommend this company more.

I have used Evolution in the past (service, bike fit etc...) and have usually had good service from them. However, I went in yesterday to look at buying some new road bike shoes and I may aswell have been invisible. Not one member of staff asked if I needed any assistance. One of their staff was dealing with a customer within touching distance, but not once did he ask if I needed any help or that he would deal with me once he had finished with his customer.....nothing whatsoever. When this customer left with his new helmet, I expected the staff member to at least ask me if he could help, sorry to have kept you waiting.....but no, he disappeared into the workshop and proceeded to eat his lunch/afternoon snack/tea..... So, having wasted enough time, I left and as I did, there were 2 other staff members talking at the main till. Shocking customer service. Their loss as I bought shoes on line and I will continue to use Anglesey Bike Repairs for future service even though it is much further to travel - at least he knows how to treat customers.......

Booked my bike in for replacement headset and asked if I could drop it off the day before as I had to work. Took it in and within half an hour I got a text to say it was ready a whole 24 hours early. They found the time to do the job straight away to spare me a two hour round trip the next day. Excellent and friendly service.Update to this review 6/12/20.Bought a new Trek Domane Sl5 there last Tuesday. The service and advice from all three staff that dealt with me was first class, nothing was too much trouble. Gwydion fitted the bike for me, bolted on my bottle cages, and the cleats on my new shoes, and gave me loads of advice and tips. The 10% credit on the cash purchase price to spend in store came in handy to kit me and the bike out. Bike rides like a dream. Yet again, top service from the staff at Evolution. Diolch.As an additional note, it was great to be dealt with in Welsh, not always a given these days when some stores discourage the use of our native tongue, and some staff lack the confidence to use it, definitely not the case here.

Awful, tried to charge £100 for a bike fit and i asked if they could change my cassette for more gears they said it would cost more than my bike. Went to another bike shop, got it all done for less than £25. Very poor customer service, trying to rip people off

Brought two bikes from evolution bikes over the years, v good deals on both and fantastically helpful with swapping bars, stem and cassette to my spec before i took the bikes home. Great advice and enthusiasm on all bike/route related matters.

Blew a rear tyre on my Stumpjumper whilst on hols in Anglesey. Dropped into Evolution Bikes, staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Bought a rear tyre which they fitted for me with sealant within 10 mins. Fab customer service, cant rate them highly enough !!!

Returned my Trek for repair due to a frame fault, the guys at Evolution sorted a new frame from Trek changed everything over and had the new frame ready in a week, fantastic service.
