This state library was built in the GIC ground just opposite the GIC school. As the name itself suggests, it is a government library. So many things and lack of cleanliness persists here. Mahendra Bahadur Singh, the former District Magistrate of Banda, had made this library quite right, otherwise the boundary here had been exhausted, due to which the stray animals and stray elements kept coming and going. But quite a lot now. Books are many but still need a lot of improvement. This library should be run as private libraries are run. Only then people of the city will be able to start taking interest in books.
