My wife and I went into the Sofas ETC store on Jappa Road, looking for brand of sofa that we were interested in. We met with Debbie Kent, who explained all of the pros and cons of that brand. She then showed us other brands of sofas on display and explained the pros and cons of those brands. She educated us on the various types and grades of leathers available.Even though we had planned on visiting other stores, due to Debbie’s friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable services that she provided to us during our visit to the store, we made a decision to make the purchase on the spot. I ordered a side table and it took a while just like all things do these days. The owner updated me during the time it took and had it sent directly to the store as soon as possible so I didn’t have to wait any longer. I love the table since it’s great quality and was definitely worth the wait.

The sales woman was helpful in offering feedback and recording the product numbers for the item I requested. She was also helpful in choosing additional catalogs for me to look through and was patient enough to sit with me throughout my contemplative tenure. The owner was also helpful in sharing some insight about their products and floor room. I recommend coming into the store. It has a big floor space so you are surely to find something that you like but what brought me to this particular store was there availability of a specific product and the current location near Baltimore.

Working with Michelle at Sofas ETC, was a delightful experience. It was a lot of hard work that she made simple. Whatever the problem was, with her professional help and patience all was accomplished. Thank you to Michelle and Sofas ETC for a job well done.

I made my second precedent sofa purchase today in Parkville. MD. I couldnt be any happier. Customer service, from making an appointment by phone to finalizing the purchase, was above expectation. Debby was, as were all the store personnel, were above expectation in their performance. I am more than pleased as I knew I would be. So in-store shopping for my second sofa in Maryland. The first sofa now resides in northern New Jersey with my twin toddler grandchildren and, after 3 years there, is holding up extremely well. I know this sofa will be no different. Todays purchase was a cakewalk... Thanks for being there!

I ordered a chair with an estimated date of 20 weeks. However, at 21 weeks I called to check on the status. They took their time checking, and lady who called was incredibly rude when calling to tell me it MIGHT BE ready in 6 more weeks. She kept cutting me off while I was speaking as if my questions were not valid. I’m contacting my bank to dispute the charges now for undelivered products.

Best, smoothest and the largest online purchase I’ve ever made thanks to the responsive and superior customer care exhibited by Jeremy and also Karen.Additionally, the bottom line price, including delivery and set-up in our home in NC beat a local dealer of the same furniture line!I was so impressed to receive a follow-up text message from Jeremy around 10pm one night earlier in our buying process and a second after hours message from Karen. Beautiful furniture and several Style.

We shopped around for a couch for a few months and ultimately decided to shop locally at Sofas Etc. rather than online. They had stylish reasonably priced couches that could be customized.Toni was our sales person and she was really knowledgeable and helpful. We had pretty specific needs and she showed us two couches, one of which we really liked and ended up ordering.However, when the couch arrived it was the model we did not select. Being that the couches were so similar, it was an honest mistake on Toni’s end. The part that upset us was when we went back to the store the day the couch was delivered to resolve the issue. When we spoke with Jeremy he made it clear that he did not have to do anything to help this situation and essentially it was our fault for not noticing the wrong model numbers on the invoice. We got no apologies, no explanation, and were afraid we would be stuck with a couch we never wanted in the first place. Eventually we were told that the correct couch could be exchanged for the one delivered but at a $250 fee. This fee seems arbitrary due to the fact that we paid $100 for the first delivery already.I hate to say I wish we would’ve just ordered online. It took 15 weeks and $250 to get the correct couch.We give 2 stars because the couch and chair we got are beautiful, but needless to say I will not recommend or shop at this store again.

What impressed the most was the knowledge and helpfulness of my salesperson. She listened to what my husband and I wanted in a sofa then asked appropriate questions. She then showed us and had us sit on various sofas. We were able to narrow down what we wanted. She sent us home with swatches of material so that we could decide what would work best for us. She was also wonderful in helping us stay within our budget. I would highly recommend this store based on the excellent help and the variety of sofas to choose from.

As soon as we walked into Sofas Etc. and were greeted by Michele, we knew we were in good hands. Unlike some sales associates, in otherfurniture stores, she approached us, asking what we were looking for, directed us toward what we were interested and did not hover over us,spouting the features of everything we looked at. She explained thatwe could have just about any sofa, how they were custom made, etc.We found exactly what we were looking for, and Michele helped uscoordinate sofa pillows and select a chair. She was delightful, andit was our pleasure to have had her as our sales associate.

Absolutely love this store! I have shopped there many times over the years since 2002. Great selection of furniture, rugs and accent pieces. They carry several manufacturers where you can design your own furniture selecting from various fabrics and finishes. While I did work with an interior designer our salesperson Karen was extremely knowledgeable with all of the products and was able to offer suggestions as to what we were looking for.

This is my third time from ordering with Sofas Etc. Ive ordered outdoor patio furniture, a beautiful Ekornes office chair and two power lift chairs from Elran. Everything Ive ordered has been top quality. The service from them has been exceptional. They put a rush on the power chairs as my dad was moving to assisted living and the chairs arrived in time for his move in date as promised. The staff at Sofas Etc. know every detail and history of the companys merchandise they are selling and actually visit and observe how the furniture is made. The whole process from start to finish with Sofas Etc. has been been top notch and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I didnt end up buying a couch here, but I do want to say they have very good customer service and a very nice collection. Definitely worth checking out.

We searched the area for reasonably priced living room furniture. We ended up purchasing a sofa, love seat, chair andottoman in October 2010. The saleslady, Elaine was extremely helpful and non-pushy. After introducing herself, sheallowed us all the time we wanted to look at the collection, even pulled out several catalogs and swatched for us tobrowse through and take home with us.

I have been getting furniture from Sofas for years. Always great to deal with. I most appreciate that they are a family business rather than some big chain. The quality of all the furniture that I have purchased from them has been outstanding, from the sectional to the bookcase and rugs.

I was not sure what I wanted; I was overwhelmed by choice. I knew what I did not want. Karen took the time to ask the right questions to help me refine my preferences. i decided on a sofa and chair from 2 companies. Then she sorted through the zillion fabrics, holding them up for me. I was unaware we had stayed past closing time. At home the fabrics did not look right with the rug color, so back again, more questions. In 4 days, I got swatches in the mail to keep. This time I know its the right choice. I cant wait for my new sofa and chair.

Shopping at sofas etc was a great experience. Very attentive salespeople. They carry some furniture lines that no one else in the state of Maryland carries. Lots of fabric options! I picked a sectional sofa from Braxton Cullier, piece is gorgeous and quality. Most furniture you will need to wait at least 6-8 weeks, but is is well worth it!!! Its hands down beats any of the local shops that can deliver in 1 week. Im glad I found them.

Everything is beautiful, well made and their prices beat everyone else! Different furniture brands, high end to less expensive. Beautiful showroom (but would never have gone in if not referred …odd location). Great prices and knowledgeable sales staff. Great customer service too. Better quality than Ive found locally.

I had been hoping to try out some different versions of the Ekornes Stressless chairs and Sofas Etc in Towson had the ones I wanted to try on their floor. I drove all the way from Annapolis and it was worth the trip to find out that the one I thought I would like was not the one I wanted.Karen took care of me at the store and went through many of the available options. Choosing the right Stressless chair is not as easy as it should be. Too many styles and variations within the same chair.I did choose a chair I liked with the Signature base. They did not have this version on the floor but I liked the chair and thought that jsut changing the base would not make a difference in the chair. Karen wrote up the order and I drove back to Annapolis.When I got home I looked at the chair online with the Signature base and noticed that the configuration of the arms changed quite a bit with the different base. The arms are attached in a different way and were not what I wanted. I had to call the store and speak with Karen to change the order to a different chair.Karen did an excellent job but frankly this line of furniture offers so many different styles and options that it is not possible for anyone to know what one change will make in the chair itself.Ultimately I will have to hope I love this chair since it is not something I can return or will ever buy a replacement. I am at the point in life where I do not expect I will every buy more furniture and what I choose now has to be comfortable and more than capable of lasting the 20 or so years I expect to be around or at least upright.Sofas Etc is a good store with good staff and Ekornes makes a great chair if you can just figure out which one you really want.

In addition to the high quality products at Sofas Etc., the expert sales staff is professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and resourceful but never pushy. Sofas Etc. is the only place to shop!

After browsing briefly and deciding to leave after a bit of sticker shock, I was approached by a relentless salesman...well, he was relentless until he asked what my budget was. Then he laughed, suggested I try a consignment store, and let me know that they typically deal with designers.
