I had a colonoscopy from Dr Raina two weeks ago. He did a good job with the procedure. However I had to wait for him for three hours in the patient room while I was hooked up to an IV. That was totally unacceptable. After the procedure he did not give me much information nor did he tell me me any follow up instructions. I love Mercy Hospital but he was one doctor who treated me like I wasnt a valued patient.
Dr. Raina and his staff gets five stars.I have had chronic pancreatitis for over 10 years. I started out at Duke University Hospital and started with Dr. Raina about 5 years ago. He has improved my quality of life and health more than any of my past Doctors. I drive 7 hours from Hatteras, NC to Baltimore for his services.
Dr. Raina has been treating our 34 year old daughter for an as yet, undetermined illness for the past two months. For more than a year, she been vomiting everything she eats and drinks resulting in a weight loss in excess of 70 lbs. She has been treated in multiple facilities by numerous doctors. She has been on feeding tubes and has had several urinary tract infections that only complicated matters. Shes only had a brief two month respite in this timeframe where life seemed almost normal until her condition reappeared. She was sent to Dr. Raina for a pancreatic ultrasound and since then, he has taken absolute ownership in trying to get her healthy. As her father, I attended her last two appointments and have been extremely impressed by his thoroughness, compassion, inquisitiveness (he actually asks questions and then he listens to her answers) and treatment options. He operates with a strong sense of urgency which is rare for a specialist in any field.Thank you Dr. Raina.! We finally feel like our daughter is in good hands.
