It is a ruin abandoned long back. Located 1 km from the Bom Jesus it is a good place to walk around and spend some time. It was closed on 15th Aug 2021 when I visited. However I was told it will open in season so do check before venturing

Loved the ruins and the way that they have been maintained by the Archeological Society of India. As always, go early to avoid the crowds. I was the only one there. This made for great photography and once I put the camera down, the silence and solitude was bliss.

Easily visible the moment you enter the old Goa town. You can notice the remainings of carvings and many more such things.

The tower of the church can be easily visible from far. It was one of the biggest church in old Goa.

In Ruins today. This church was built and once upon a time its convent was occupied by Augustinian Missionaries. As such, the only tower of the Our lady of Grace church that stands today is called the Augustines TowerIt was built between 1597 and 1602.Afrer the Augustinian Missionaries left in early 19th century, this complex fell into neglect. Part of the church collapsed in mid 19th century. Part of the front facade collapsed in 1931 leaving one of its towers. The bell of this church can be found today in the Panjim Church.Bones of saint Kativan was found by the ASI in one of the chapel of this convent. This church housed eight chappels other than the Main alter and two side alters. One can see Portuguese era tiles on its walls. These tiles were recovered from the ruins and painstakingly put together like a massive zigsaw puzzle by the ASI.In one of the chapels, one can still notice beautiful soft plaster works. One can see grave stones of msny important portuguese people who were buried in this church. These grave stones are from the 18th century.Pictures taken by the ASI can be seen on the southern wall outside the monument
