Banacharan previously was famous for Rasogolla. But the quality of their Rasogolla is degraded. But it is still famous for Langcha and Makha Sandesh. One can also try Chhanar gaja, singara and sandesh here.

Bamacharan Mistanna Bhandar is a very old sweet shop. The ambiance of the outlet gives you a feel of traditional sweet shop of earlier days. The shop is very near to Bagnan station....can walk a bit to reach there. The most popular dishes are the chomchoms, rasgullas, chanar goja, misty doi etc... The sweet dishes are quite cheap...If you have a sweet tooth then this shop is a must visit for you

Bagnans traditional sweet shop is well known throughout the Howrah district. One of the oldest sweet shops in Howrah district. Their Rosogolla and Sandesh are the most famous. However, many people love them very much Chanar Goza and Pantua. So many people are waiting for the sweets made by them that it all ends soon after the sweets are made. Free filtered drinking water is available at the store. The shop is located on Station Road, very close to Bagnan Station and a short distance from the police station.

If we want quality then we should go for bamacharan, many people have said that their quality have decreased but I would prefer that it is the only sweet shop in Bagnan whose sweet quality is better compared to the other, it is because people nowadays are in search of varieties instead of quality so their taste have changed and now days the main requirement for sweets Milk Its quality is decreased too so I have no complain if their taste is not like at first it was but they never fail to win my heart with the taste and softness of sweets, and mostly their lengcha and chanar goja are my favourite no sweet shop makes it as soft as like bamacharan if you want taste not variety then go for bamacharan and if anyone can buy rs 60 sandesh per piece of small size from other sweet shops saying its tasty then what is the problem in buying rs 8 chanar goja to eat..... Its the best shop still now and will be, today people like varities not taste but I look for taste not variety, and bamacharan sweets are much cheaper than that of Shitala at least, because sparing money to buy one sweet in Shitala has just become impossible for medium class family like us, they have nice variety but unfortunately my pocket pinch is not that much, so at first judge perfectly about quality of the sweets than say anything about this shop and my papa whenever returned home he always took Rasgulla from here packed and that didnt get spoiled upto 3 days and when I went in other sweet shops they told these sweets will not last more than 1day12hours.......so if you want quality not variety go for bamacharan........
