Great place to enjoy sunset!the server was very polite (considering the level of price here, it should be great). We enjoyed ourselves here, ordered some wine and popcorn chicken and just enjoying the view. Beautiful place indeed!

Great bar for sunset drinks if you are staying anywhere in the AYANA resort. We got a buggy over from Rimba. It is still really quiet here and we pretty much had the place to ourselves but most tables seemed to have good views and the cocktails were great. They were the most expensive cocktails that we have had in Bali so far though. £12-£14 each when you include the 21% tax.

They really know how to milk the beauty of nature. Putting a bar right at the vantage point off a beautiful cliff. Come sunset, tourists will converge in here in pursuit of the best spot to catch the setting sun. After which the crowd disappears as quickly as they have gathered. A good selection of drinks and finger food on the menu to keep everyone satisfied. Service staff are fantastic, quick on their feet and keen to please.

First up getting into Rock Bar is a process. If you are a hotel guest just go at any time, if you are not a hotel guest don’t just rock up at peak time you probably won’t get in. The sun is super hot so remember that. It’s a truly unique experience, having to go down a passenger lift and through caves to even get there.Drinks are expensive as expected. $22 for most cocktails. Bar snacks were pretty good, we had the mixed share starters which came with popcorn chicken which was good. You go here for the ambience and vibe though not the food!

Very very nice place to spend your time. Open from 4pm & you can choose your table, and then enjoy the rest of your day!! Sunset was not decent, due to bad weather. They said that if you come around june-july, youll have perfect sunset in the bar.They have minimum spending, depends on which table do you want to sit. Starting from 300K per person.Food was great! Ordered The Oceans Kebab, prawn, perfectly cook. Seabass & squid were okay. 2 kind of mediteranian sauce were great! Love it.Calamary & mocktail were okay.Will comeback in summer!!!!!

Really amazing venue with stunning coastal views and the rocks and cliffs are as advertised with amazing waves crashing up into the sky and splashing with majestic tenacity. The food was good but expensive of course as are all places with amazing views. Overall an awesome experience with 5 star food, 5 star service and 2 star for value which is common for places with great views. I’d advise to only eat before or after as you can get much better food for less cost, but the view is definitely worth experiencing!

One of the best of this pleace is the vibe and the sunset. and onther is just like normal beach club. and litle bit expensive i think.

A lot of work to get the actual place. walk thru the resort and wait in line to take an elevator, where you can wait some more for your reservation (which was incorrectly made for the wrong time by the venue). the view is good of course but it’s crowded and some are much better than others. that said the food was better than average. more expensive than usual in bali but that’s to be expected. worth a shot once (kinda) and that’s it.

Rock Bar is an exceptional culinary experience. Staff will make you feel like royalty, without the expectation, if the palace like architectural design hasnt already. Be prepared to fork out for this slice of grandeur, as it does comes with a price tag. Though the overall experience was more than worth it!

Super cool view and enviroment, dont mind about food and beverage price, it is worth it

All staff are super friendly! Due to they are nice to all customer, it makes the ambience and view become perfect! No racist betwen local or tourist customers. The rule only: one person one drink. The waiters will give you cold towel and sweet potato crackers for welcome. It has different area between outside customer and in house customer, it doesnt really matter. Beer for 100k and up / bottle. I ordered tuna, super delicious with edible flower. Wanna visit for second and so on.

Located on a cliff in the Ayana Resort, the bar is accessible through a lift which descends down, and you descend into bliss. Sunsets are beautiful and are made even more mesmerizing by the waves crashing below. Food is nice and bar options are good.Opens at 1600 Hrs and is definitely a place to visit!Cheers!!

Amazing place with great views and the food was fantastic the environment was beautiful. The staff is so nice and helpful with taking photos, reading menu and desert and overall fantastic smiles. Needed more ventilation as it can get really humid.

Just an amazing wonderful place. This is a must visit when you come to Bali. Get there one hr before sunset and enjoy. Drinks do cost but its worth every bit. Great service. Well done to Gustawa and Nata for looking after us. The hotel there is also awesome, you do not need to stay there to enjoy what they have created!!

Rock bar is the one of the famous destination for Bali visitors. Its built to the sea shore wall. Its worth visiting. Usually the main lobby executives doesnt bother the visitors. You can see their rude response there because their size of the business is large. But once you get inside the staff is cool. You need to wait long time to get seat there. It will be busy during the evening as everyone want to see the sunset there. Its very large. You can enjoy the sea sounds in the evening. Its a open bar. I dont know how do they manage if it rains. Food is great. Last but not the least cable car is awesome. When your stomach is full with drinks and joy, they will help you to carry by cable car to top. No need to climb many steps. 😊

Despite reading all the reviews raving about how beautiful this place is for the set and seeing the photos, experiencing it in person still managed to exceed all those expectations. We arrived at 430pm for a 6pm sunset and managed to snag one of the last seats along the edge of the bar. They provide umbrellas to help block out the sun and the heat while you wait. Prices are definitely more expensive than typical Bali prices, but youre paying for the premium views. The bar is also quite large and seated a lot more people than I expected so if you arrive ahead of time you should be able to get a seat.

I was told that no reservation is needed. By the time I arrived, the receptionist said different story. Reservation is mandatory for dinner seating. Walk-in is for drinks and snacks only. The staff were friendly, the ambiance was superb. I love the live singer. Food and drinks were so so. Ill only return for the spectacular beach view next time.

Very unique spot spanning along the side of the rocks by the sea, best enjoyed at sunset. It’s quite a large area, it may take you a bit of a walk to get to your table.The place overall is interesting as it is all built into the rock, but that also makes it quite humid and there is a strong smell of the sea.It also gets quite hot, the umbrellas are a nice touch but they don’t quite protect you from the heat. They also hand out cold towels but again it’s not enough, this place desperately needs misting fans.

Great view, explains why there is a queue to get in at 4pm when the bar is opened. For visitors who are not guests, no reservation is allowed for the bar. Long flight of stairs and slope down from the entrance to the bar. Bar area is huge, lovely view of the sunset from every corner of the bar.Service is fantastic, very attentive staff. Drinks were good with very unique concoction. There were only finger food available. We sat there from 430pm to close to 7pm for the sunset, so we got a little hungry.To get back up to the main resort, we could take the elevator up. Rock Bar is a must go place in Bali. Best place to party, best place to watch beautiful sunset, best place for a romantic dinner and best place to feel the serene atmosphere.TIP: Wherever you are staying in Bali, try to leave early for Rock Bar as there is a long waiting and specially at the time of Sunset which is the best time to go there. Try to reach the Ayana Resort and Spa around 4 pm so that you get a seats down in the Bar till 5 pm or 5:30 pm.Food is really great and the crowd is superb. Dance, feel the breeze and have an awesome time over there.When you leave from Rock Bar, you will be assisted by the Resort Staff at the main entry for getting taxis and they are seriously really helpful. And let me tell you that getting a taxi by your own is not easy there as it is far away from city area but as I said the staff is really helpful and responsible.

One of the best sunset bars in Bali as it’s located in the south.Parking is spacious, the grounds are huge inside Ayana Resort.The way down to the bar is very enjoyable. From lobby to the bar it takes maybe 5-10 minutes to walk. Once on the cliff, there’s usually a bit of a wait to go down via the tram car.Be warned: from about 5-6pm there’s usually a rush so if you don’t want to wait come earlier. And the sun is directly in your face and can get quite hot. If it’s too hot, ask staff to bring you an umbrella. Although a bit hot, the sunset is worth the wait.Have been here 3-4 times. Will go back, not for the mediocre food but for the view.

I always love the Rock Bar while in Bali. Best place to enjoy the Sunset. Drink the Mocktail or Beer with the fingers food, will be worthy for their upscale price. But today I got bad experience, when on my way to going up after the sunset down, the lady staff asked us to use stairs as they said we need to waited for at least 30 mins. When we insisted use their elevator to upstairs, no need to wait...only 1 min. Is it because today I am not stay in the hotel?

View is splendid but service probably sucks. If your a non hotel guest, there is probably no way or means that you would be given a good area/table/seating for you to view the sunset. Almost every other good or better tables and seating are reserved for hotel guests when you ask the staff.

Really crowded before sunset as everyone comes in from all over Bali to take a picture.But nice atmosphere and views of ocean and does get quieter once its dark.Prices are has high as four times you would pay for a drink anywhere else in Bali plus the 21 % surcharge.Long line and wait time but we figured this could be a set up to make you wait and spend more money on other bars as where were #70 on the wait list but as soon as we ordered drinks from the sunset bar while waiting they told us we can go into the rock bar.Its a large place with hundreds of seat available. I think its worth going there once or for a special dinner but allow half day and also book a few days in advance.

We came here for the same reason everyone else does, the view. However, the service was really what made it a special event. They truly go out of their way to accommodate and no request goes without a true effort to try and fulfill.Special mention to Andika Candra who just went above and beyond to try and get us the best spot and make it an incredible experience.Drinks are top notch and if you get a chance to try the food you won’t be disappointed.It gets super hot during the day and the umbrellas they give you are just not enough so going when it is sundown or after is the best if you want to enjoy a long time there but of course the view is not as good.

One of the best cliff bar in Uluwatu that is FREE Entrance. Most other bars around Uluwatu has entrance charge. Staff are friendly and courteous over here, even though the place is crowded. Ive been here many times, View Is Definitely Good.

Super pretty place with breathtaking view.The vicinity is huge. You can find a gelato place (which i recommend to visit. The gelato is real good!), boutiques, wedding hall, etc on your way to the main area.Dress casually and light when you come here since it can be quite hot. Shoes is not required.I would recommend to come here just around 5 or 5.30 but no later since the queue can be crazy. We came around 4 and it was super hot since there are no shades of tree to cover the burning sunlight. Luckily, they provide umbrellas for each table. Not a good look, but hey, it saves you from the heat.Take sometime to enjoy the view and have a good conversation with your friends.The foods and drinks are okay.

It was our anniversary and we had a reservation at 8pm. It was the best sunset weve seen so far but were in the waiting area at 6pm with other people waiting for their turn to go to the rock bar.We were able to enter the bar at 8pm. The bar was really impressive. It was cozy and the staff were very attentive. But there was only very few food to choose from in their menu and it was over priced and the food taste were so so. We enjoyed the ambiance and the live music too.

Wow what an amazing afternoon. Was one of the most amazing sunsets and the Rock Bar has amazing music with a real DJ and service was great. A little pricey but the view and ambience made up for a first class experience. Glad I went and would definitely be back next time.

Many people want to See Sunset from this bar. The location inside Ayana Resot. The staff is welcome but the price is 5 start standard hotel. We just pay for view. I’m order watermelon fresh juice with price 121k including tax and service charge. The staff will give you wet towel, umbrella and sweet potato crackers for free. To go to a rock bar we will take elevator.

Being a part of the Ayana Resort, the Rock Bar access is a 10 minute nice long walk from the resort entrance. The crowds flock here for the sunset, so the parking lot is usually full around sunset hours, so do come early to beat the crowds and get your car parking space. The drink collection is not super diverse, but seem to be solid. The bar provides black umbrella to shield you from the blinding sun before it sets. The bar requires that any guests do a registration, and there are signboards to provide the instructions, you could do it on the spot, but it saves you sometime to do it before reaching the entrance of the bar. I put 4 stars as I thought we were all placed too close from each other to allow comfortable space.

The Rock Bar is often referred to as the most spectacular bar in Bali, certainly the uninterrupted, 360-degree views from it are breathtaking.The bar is open to the elements with nothing to block the fresh sea air and the changing colors of the sky above.The bar is perched on a cliff, at the base of a steep hill and simply reaching it is an adventure.A special cable car that traverses the cliff takes guests from top of the hill, down to the platform suspended 14 feet above the waters of Jimbaran Bay.Because we are in-house guest, we had priority access to Rock Bar by skipping the queue and getting the best seats in the house.We sat on the rounded daybed in front of the cliff. We enjoy the wave hitting the cliff while enjoying our drink. Impressive..

Absolutely a tourist attraction. Listening to the waves under the sunset while sipping your favourite wine! Customer services is top notch, we’re not even their hotel guests but we were treated quite fair. We asked if we could be seated near the bar where there’s a better viewing of the ocean. We were first told they are reserved for hotel patrons but later the staff arranged the seat for us when they become vacant! Very nice of them.The drinks are surely on the expensive side and the snacks are not so noteworthy though the deep fried prawns are alright to try. The view and how you descend down are quite an experience from Bali!

Soooo strategic location facing the west. They have one of the most beautiful sunset view. And the service are very high standard. You should come a bit earlier around 4.30 pm to 5 pm to get the perfect spot. No worries the will provide you umbrellas. It’s a bit annoying and noisy with a lot of group of tourists from mainland China. But overall it’s a five stars

Beautiful hotel with very impressive bar perched on the rocks, which opens at 4pm. Unfortunately for us we had just sat down a little bit after 4pm and the heavens opened up, with no shelter we and all others were absolutely drenched, plus the lift stopped working so we had to scramble up the steps to the top. Why the management would let guests go there with looming dark clouds n rain on the way ? Left straight after.

Get there early. We arrived at 6 and had to wait until the bar emptied out. There is no standing room at the bar its only sitting area. The view is stunning and it was a long sunset so worth the wait. The food menu is limited but good. The drinks were comparable to NYC prices which we werent surprised by.

Take the last seating or the pink deck seating for view and Music. Food is not great at all. Be careful while you order veg food. Its too sweet to eat.

Very nice restaurant bar. It takes approx. 1 h by taxi from Kuta to get there but it is worth it. The complete bar is build into the cliff directly by the sea. When you arrive there you need to take a small cable car first. There are different areas with a stunning view. The food is very tasty and the fish is fresh.

Amazing spot for sunset drinks and dining - Either tapas style or á la carte.Recommend arriving early (opens at 4pm) for a decent spot or booking for dining (no need to book for tapas).Be aware most punters are there to take selfies at sundown, so if you blag a good table, protect your space. In some cultures its apparently perfectly acceptable to lean over tables to take photos.Staff are incredible, as with anywhere in Bali, and the foods decent too.

Let me start by saying Rockbar Bali is the best place I have ever been to.....Tables right on the cliff side by the infinite sea views and waves splashing on the rocks. Just Magical....There are a only a few vegetarian options here but are totally worth. Loved the fries, Drinks were amazing, beautiful views of the sea, impeccable service thats all you need for a perfect evening.Do not miss the sunset here, its beautiful.Ask the attendant to give you a table with the perfect sunset view, you might have to walk a little even go between rocks. The staff here will go out of their way to make you comfortable. Make sure you go on a low tide time.The way we see Rockbar in the pictures is the circle in between the sea but its so much more right from the start where you have to go down by a small elevator shaft which is inside the restaurant it self and the place keeps on growing on you. A place not to miss when you are in Bali

This place gets busy! You need to come right when it opens in the late afternoon at 4:00 PM if you want to find decent spots for sunset. It’s a massive bar with so many different seating areas. In house guests have priority and a designated area. Non guests areas are plenty though, but they have differing views. We came on a rainy day right before sunset and the moment they opened at 4:00PM and still faced many crowds. This was in early January so it’s possible it was only a high season issue. I would come back for the view and the luxurious setting. However, the food wasn’t good at all. Felt like it was oven heated food that was quickly prepared. Drinks were OK. Prices a bit steep but that’s expected for such a hotel.

Awesome cocktails, food, service and atmosphere!

No main course here, just finger foods - still it was good and very affordable. If you get one with the sunset view, the price you pay are consumable. Just get there early since they prioritise checked-in guests. Also, you will have to wait for an hour or two with the sun across you, that is why an umbrella is provided in the seats. You have to endure the heat if you want to get a good view of the sunset.

Cocktails are pricey compared to elsewhere on the island, but it is a gorgeous place to watch the sunset. The sun comes in directly while it is setting so it can get a bit hot. Thankfully they provide umbrellas for some shade. It is quite a walk in and down to get to, but the view and ambience is well worth it.

Wow. Had heard that it is one of the top bars in the world - and after going there you would definitely agree. Perched on top of a cliff (rock) the place is beautifully designed. You can watch and hear waves splashing on the rock beneath as you eat and drink. They have a mirror cart to transport you to the middle of the cliff where the actual bar is. As expected the place is expensive.

Great place with nice sunset. However everything is very pricey. The local large beer in Jimbaran beach will cost you 40,000 and there a small one will be 100,000 plus service charge and tax. Worth a visit but too pricey to ever come back.
